My dad lived at the Clairmont for two-and-a-half years. If youre there for 13 months or more, their buy-down on the rent is worth it. But either way, the Clairmont is beyond worth it. We looked at a number of places and chose the Clairmont. It was a wonderful place for that entire time, and they were no BS in their pitch. They lived up to everything they said they were selling, and actually were far beyond just a business (which is not how I felt about a lot of the other places, tbh.) Most important to my dad was the food. He really liked it and I know they put a lot of their energy and money into making sure that people get what they want. Next most important was the staff, all of whom were really great. They truly cared about the people who lived there. Thats not easy to find, so I highly recommend them.

As the Community Development Director at The Clairmont for the past 4 years, I can honestly say I love The Clairmont! Our Management Team works very closely and well together, which is why we have some great employee longevity in our community, something that is not so common in this industry, and is very comforting to our residents! Additionally, the residents at The Clairmont are truly the reason I love going to work everyday! They are friendly and caring. There is nothing more rewarding to me, than helping families find the right community for their loved one. At The Clairmont, our community is your community, and we look forward to making it your HOME! Come see us!

I love this community!! There are so many fun activities and the residents are so fun amd happy! One of my favorite things about this community is how their residents sit outside in groups and have lively conversations. The staff are kind, engaging and management had an open door policy to address all the needs of their residents. It seems like management considers the residents to be their family.I also love their activities leader Tina. She promotes mental and physical health. The residents have an assortment of morning exercise classes and mindfulness classes as well. I would highly recommend this community for anyone looking for luxury senior living that emphasizes staying healthy and truly enjoying everyday!

Disclosure: I am an employee of the Clairmont Retirement Community.I have worked at the Clairmont for about 5 years now. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The residents are nice and enjoy each others company. The front hall and activity room are spacious and the exercise room is accommodating, with machines that are easily used by seniors to help keep them fit and mobile. The activity director is engaging and has many good fitness programs scheduled to help keep the senior population at the Clairmont active, engaged, and healthy.Meal times are very social, with adequate dining facilities and a kitchen staff that accommodates the requests of the residents. Meals are well prepared and portion sizes are generous. The housekeeping staff is friendly and conscientious. They know all residents by name and are very good at meeting all of their needs.Call the marketing director, Susan Kinney, and schedule at tour today.

As a independent living community, The Clairmont is the best value in the greater Austin area. It provides transportation, care for activities of daily living, affordable apartments, and fantastic food. One of the biggest differences that separates The Clairmont from all other independent living communities is the management. Jill, Suzanne, Diane, and of course Joanne the Executive Director are the reasons The Clairmont is a wonderful place to live. They are second to none and really care about the residents.J. Great residents and staff
September 2018
Wonderful place. Staff is 5 Star. My home hopefully for life. I knew the first moment I walked in that The Clairmont was for me. I am considerably younger than most of the residents but they do not hold it against me. Try it you will love it!!
July 2018
I highly recommend The Clairmont. My mom was there for about a year and it was a very good experience for her. Although The Clairmont is an independent living facility there are several organizations that work in the building to provide additional assistance if needed, e.g. Amada can provide aides for help with things like laundry or even help with ADLs, Texas Home Health for any needed nursing care, Dr. Elizabeth Burnell and Nurse Practitioner Jessica Wright for more advanced medical care, and on site dental care. Also each resident has the option of using a personal call button that is a vast improvement over the string pull buttons you will find in most facilities. The staff was very helpful, especially with respect to keeping me informed of any issues that I might not have otherwise been aware of. Overall the experience there is as good as or better than other independent living facilities that you may be considering.

The staff at The Clairmont REALLY cares! They treat residents and their families like family! Susan Kinney and the whole team are in the right roles and serve with joy, patience, and smiles on their faces! We just moved my dad in a couple of weeks ago and they have been a tremendous help making this tough transition from his home to independent retirement living much easier on us all! The community is cheery (from Lisa answering the phone It is a great day at The Clairmont) to the pleasant dining room staff to the maintenance supervisor Don being willing to help get things set up in the apartment. The lunch I tasted when we first visited was great. There are so many fun activities on the schedule that I want to come visit. One resident, Glaucia, plays marvelous hymns on the piano and the onsite barber is very personable. The courtyard is beautiful and relaxing. Everything is neat, clean, and bright. The common areas always seem to have lots of residents socializing and busy with exercises, playing games, and just conversing. My dads apartment was updated just before he moved in and the bathroom is huge with a double seat in the shower, fresh paint, and lots of natural light. It makes me so happy that my dad can live in a place where the people (both staff and residents) are kind and outgoing and he can not simply live but be able to thrive. They even had resident ambassadors come to welcome my dad the first day and escort him to lunch. He hasnt missed a meal and loves that there is a jukebox in one of the common areas so that he can listen to oldies with joy! And we still cannot believe the affordable value for all that is offered for the price! Thanks to everyone at The Clairmont for creating a great place for my dad and residents like him to live!

Nice assisted living home.
February 2018
Dropped in to handle some light business for some of the residences and the onsite staff was very helpful. I really liked observing the staff interact with the retirees. The deduction of one star was from the fact that I had to actually search out several employees in order to receive some answers to my questions. No one was at the concierge desk when I arrived or when I departed.
