I tend to think perfect 5-star ratings are unrealistic, so I'm giving this facility 4 stars because no place is perfect. Overall, our experience was positive. Initially, I was frustrated by what seemed like a lack of attentiveness, and I struggled to understand why a memory care facility required my mother to have a 24-hour sitter. It felt unnecessary at the time, considering the level of care we were already paying for. Later, I learned that this is actually common in memory care settings when residents are experiencing significant behavioral challenges, and my mother was certainly going through a difficult period. The food was not particularly impressive, but the staff were kind, patient, and handled some very challenging situations with professionalism. Things ultimately did not end well for us, and my mother left the facility of her own accord. Looking back, however, I can honestly say that the director, Opal, did everything she could to help us navigate a very unique and complicated situation. Unfortunately, many of the circumstances were beyond anyone's control. Like many facilities, I believe this one could benefit from increased staffing, particularly during overnight hours, as well as additional training on managing the complex behavioral symptoms that can accompany dementia. That said, I appreciate the effort and compassion shown by the staff during a very difficult time for our family.

Our family has had such a wonderful experience with Auberge at Cedar Park. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the warmth and genuine care from the staff. Everyone is kind, patient, and truly treats residents like family. A special thank you to Staff,who has been absolutely amazing. Staff goes above and beyond every time”always attentive, compassionate, and consistently making sure our mom is comfortable and cared for. It’s rare to find someone who brings that much heart into their work. We also want to recognize Opaal, the Executive Director, who has been outstanding. Opaal is incredibly quick to respond, always professional, and you can tell they genuinely care about both the residents and their families. Knowing leadership is so involved and responsive gives us so much peace of mind. UPDATED REVIEW: After my last review 4 years ago when I moved my parents into the Auberge at Cedar Park, there have been at least 4 management changes. The first team was awesome as mentioned below. After management changes, there have been some real challenges. For a long time, the food was less than desirable but has been upgraded and now has a much better, well-rounded menu. The Director, Opaal, has been engaging, however, not everything that was promised has happened. There were some communication challenges at the beginning, however, I have to give her some grace as there has been 2 different management changes since she started. I'm not sure that they have ever gotten my parent's bill correct. It has been an ongoing challenge keeping their belongings, including bedding and clothes with them. It seems to be getting better and time will tell. Unfortunately, they are understaffed and sometimes there are only 2 people in the area for about 10-12 residents. With that many people with special needs, it can be a real challenge. I believe this is something that definitely needs to change. I would like to say that the best thing that has happened at the Auberge and one of the main reasons that my parents are still there is because of KATIE SANDERS. She is one of the most caring and responsible individuals at the facility. She loves the residents and freely demonstrates it. She knows everyone by name and their behaviors and how to handle each one. She is a God send for this facility! I can't tell you how much I appreciate having her there. She recently got promoted to manage all of the caregivers and has done a wonderful job in providing direction to all of them. The only thing I really don't like and this has nothing to do with Katie, is that management frequently moves staff around to different groups.This seems very counterintuitive and frustrating to me. Once the caregivers learn each individual, the residents get to know them and it builds trust and allows the caregivers to provide much better care for those individuals. It also helps build confidence and trust with the families as they get to know the caregivers. The residents consider them family and when they go to another location, it confuses them. I know this for a fact as it has happened with my parents, especially my dad. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Overall the facility is very nice and has a huge area for the residents to walk around and has a small town atmosphere. Once again, THANK YOU KATIE for the excellent care you have provided for my parents. And thank you for following up on your promises and for your quick response to any questions or concerns. You're one of the best representations of what a caring, kind and loving caregiver should strive for. I have visited many memory care and assisted living places and this is by far the best of the best! Kimberly was amazing in helping me navigate the many decisions I have to make and the staff were welcoming and friendly! They were so kind and caring and I really appreciated the concern they showed! The place is beautiful and there is always some sort of activity going on. There's also a beautiful outdoor courtyard and yard where the residents can plant in raised beds. The little store fronts on Main St are so enchanting and keep the residents engaged where they can stop in at the coffee shop for coffee and a pastry or go to the theater or even the barber shop/salon. I can't wait to move my parents in. I know they will be in wonderful and caring hands. I know that God led me here after many prayers!

My Dad has been a resident for 3 years now and the original Executive Director Beth was wonderful and a huge part of why I felt confident moving him into The Auberge in Nov 2022. I became his guardian the week of my 27th birthday and felt supported when I was navigating moving him from Abilene, TX. There was solid staff that had been around for awhile as well. When Beth left for health reasons, it was hard. The following series of EDs all either overhauled administration to bring in their own people or people left out of frustration. This led to massive staff inconsistencies at all levels, shortages, missed meds, a severe lack of and improper documentation, unreported incidents, massive lack of communication. With each new ED the problems from the prior ED fell onto the new one. Now, enter Opaal, who had a massive undertaking on her hands while at some point the chain went through acquisition which included a massive overhaul and price increases. We are now having another $400 price increase this year after a price increase at the beginning of this year making it $6,900/month. However, similar places are about the same price. Massive inflation with no end in sight. My father is non-verbal but mobile. I hired private caregivers to ensure he was cared for from 8-6 as he wasn't being routinely changed and checked every 2 hours. Sometimes at night he wasn't checked at all. I know because I have a camera in his room which I recommend everyone have for their loved one. Thankfully the Auberge permits it, not all locations do. I will say, Opaal does respond and make efforts to address issues promptly. If you wonder why I haven't moved him, well sadly most facilities have similar issues. I have asked around. He is also very established here and thinks of it as home. He's comfortable. Relocation is very hard on someone with dementia. It can set them back/shorten their life 6 months and I fear he'd be lost at the new facility. My recommendations: Install a camera day one Visit regularly Document everything Always ask a lot of questions A nurse is not required at memory care facilities 24/7 in Texas Med Techs aren't nurses - they take notes to report to the head nurse who's there during business hours. No nurse on the weekend. Same as most other facilities. Renu has been a great advocate for my Dad who has worked there a long time and I really appreciate her. She works hard, and he lights up every time he sees her. Octavia has been wonderful, friendly, and has also been there for awhile. Both of them are med-techs but step up to do what's needed when the facility is short staffed and to care for the residents. Mardi has brought great music weekly and is such a kind soul. His speech therapist Rachel has changed his world where he can communicate without speech and staff can understand his needs. There have been many wonderful people (staff and residents) who have come and gone that brought joy to the Auberge.

I am so grateful for the special care Brittany Mott is giving my mom. My mom absolutely adores her! Brittany was also great to my dad, before he passed. Brittany is upbeat and positive, and goes out of her way to check on my mom. Her kindness is contagious and worth noting. I appreciate the way she makes my mom feel. Also, a shout out to Renu, Lester, Trena, and Octavia, caretakers who I regularly see going the extra mile for my mom.

My dad has been so well cared for for over a year now at The Auberge. I cannot say enough great things about the entire team there and especially the caregivers who are so loving and work tirelessly to take care of our loved ones. I am truly grateful for the exceptional care that Maria Isai provides at the Auberge Memory Care Facility in Cedar Park. Maria is truly wonderful and goes above and beyond for every resident. Each time I visit my aunt I notice how all the residents are treated with dignity and respect. My mom has been a resident at The Auberge for almost a year this Thanksgiving. There have been many issues up until when Opaal took over as Director. I have already seen positive changes with the food, on the job training of staff and facility cleanliness that have improved since her arrival. I wanted to take a moment to commend some employees that I feel are outstanding. They provide patience and loving care every day to the residents. The care my mother-in-law has received here has been excellent! Since the management changed to Opaal Banks, this has been the best it’s been in the three years we’ve been here. Opaal is always available, responsive, and quick to address any issue ” big or small. Over the years, we’ve seen several Executive Directors come and go, and most were rarely seen or only communicated through emails. Opaal, on the other hand, is very present, approachable, and genuinely dedicated to both the residents and their families. I have to say that there has been great improvement over the last 6 months. The new Executive Director Opal has been doing a great job. I have really enjoyed all the new activities, the food seems to be better as well. I will say that there are some care staff that could be better, but the new head nurse is great. I feel so much more confident with my mom being there now than I did a year ago. Highly recommend this community for anyone looking. It is beautiful, lots to see and to do, plenty of space to walk around, and under good management. Keep it up Opal and team!

Having to make the decision & move my dad to a memory care community has been the hardest thing my sister & I have ever had to do, after touring & researching so many places we chose Auberge Cedar Park. Beth & Kimberly (2 of the directors) met with us & were so compassionate & knowledgeable about everything we were concerned about! They only do memory care here & they are experts at it! They (& all of the staff) have made the transition more bearable than we dreamed it could be! The place is so clean & has a welcoming positive atmosphere. The residents are engaged & doing things! They have bent over backwards to accommodate us & our dad. This is what they do here & they are VERY good at it! We are so grateful!

This is Virginia Harkness, wife of Joseph Harkness. My husband resided here at the Auberge from January 2021 until he passed away September 12, 2023. He was total care needing to be fed, dressed, bathed, etc. His care was absolutely superb and the staff were respectful, devoted and faithful to him and to me and my family. We were married for 44 years. The last week of his life he took a turn for the worse and I wanted to be with him so the maintenance men moved a bed for me into his room so I could spend the nights with him. Dietary fed me 3 meals a day at no additional cost. I paid $3500 monthly for his care. Hope this helps in anyone’s decision to place their loved one at Auberge.

I find Charles the Executive Director pleasant and open to suggestions. Genniel the Wellness Director had been a great team player. She makes the time to meet with the therapy team on a weekly basis. She is such an advocate to approving PT/OT/ST to our Residents. There is always room for improvement and I believe this team is on the right track.

We have been so blessed by care our mom has been receiving by the staff. Mom never wanted to leave her house but Robin Dockal and her staff have gone above and beyond to make my mom feel at home. Transitioning anywhere at this time in life is difficult but I sleep peacefully knowing she is somewhere cared for and respected as an individual. My mom needs extra time to eat, get dressed and do just about anything seeing the patience and grace given to her just makes my heart full. Robin’s attentiveness to my mom needs and changes have been spot on. She has been our best support with caring for my mom.

I had the chance to visit this amazing facility during Halloween, and the experience was truly heartwarming. The staff's kindness and care for the residents really stood out. They went all out to make the celebration special, ensuring everyone felt included and valued. During the Halloween event, the staff went the extra mile to create a festive atmosphere. From classic hot dogs and nachos to refreshing drinks, cotton candy, and snow cones “ they thought of every detail to bring joy to the residents. The commitment to residents' well-being extended beyond the ordinary, with a variety of fun games that added excitement and the chance to win charming prizes. What impressed me the most was the inclusive nature of the celebration. The facility welcomed not just residents but also their families and the families of the dedicated staff. This thoughtful gesture created a sense of community, allowing everyone to connect on a personal level. The presence of a jump house in the heart of the celebration added an extra layer of charm, capturing the hearts of both residents and the younger attendees. Laughter filled the room as residents enjoyed the festivities, staff members chatted with family, and children had a blast in the jump house. It was a heartwarming and memorable occasion, highlighting the facility's commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment. I couldn't help but wish for a team as caring and devoted to looking after my grandma as the one I witnessed at this facility. The genuine care, attention to detail, and community spirit displayed during the Halloween celebration underscored the exceptional level of love and compassion that defines this facility. My mom lived at Auberge Cedar Park for the last 18 months of her life and they were filled with joy, friendships, loving care and the wonderful birds that live on Main Street. Auberge is unlike other facilities because it doesn't have the "facility" feel to it at all. Visitors from out of town would remark at how well kept the place is and how well the residents are treated. People in memory care need to be loved and cared about and I can write without hesitation that my mom felt all of that love as her health deteriorated. I will always be satisfied with our decision to move her there and am grateful for the entire team for their love of my mom.

I LOVE this place!!! Amy and Beth are amazing, I am beyond happy with my experience moving my mom here. They have treated my mom and our family with open arms, respect and love. I’ve seen a huge positive difference with my mom living here. The staff and residents are so nice, helpful and supportive, they have an amazing nurses line you can call anytime 24hrs with answering questions or assistance for my mom. The services they provide are a win win for me/mom and just what my mom needed to thrive and enjoy her time with the fun activities. I 100% recommend this place for your loved ones, they are very hands on and their communication is top notch. Also the facility is super cute inside and allows the residents to enjoy where they live. We moved my mom in two weeks ago. We had a horrible experience at a local care facility and my trust in the elderly care community was non existent. Our experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. My mom is extremely happy, the Auberge gives her a sense of purpose every day, she has friends that she laughs with, the care givers have gone out of their way to make her feel at home, and Kimberly and Beth have made sure the communication has been top notch! I love the Auberge of Cedar Park! I volunteer here regularly and the staff is attentive and so kind! The care is beyond superb and this is most certainly a place I proudly talk to families about who are looking for superior care for their memory care loved ones in the Cedar Park area. It feels like family and the love is contagious! If you can schedule a tour, I highly recommend!

Auberge is an AMAZING place. We moved my father in here recently and it has been a game changer for us. We actually had my dad at Cedar Ridge Memory Care and their care went wayyyyy downhill. So, after XMAS we decided to move my father. Kimberly was AMAZING since the beginning and I just LOVE their ED, Beth. Their smiles really brighten my day when I come into the building. Alzheimer's is really tough to deal with it and they make it so easy on us and a relaxing environment. The food is great here and the shared rooms are wonderful. I love it. My dad is so happy here. They literally changed our life for the better. Don't listen to the bad reviews that was BEFORE Beth took over. It clearly is under AMAZING leadership now. You won't regret coming here. 🙂

So impressed by the happy residents. The staff was always smiling as well and very informative. They answered all our questions and more. Showed us around Main Street and Ivy and Oak neighborhoods. My Dad moved into the Auberge in December and my brother, and I are extremely HAPPY with the care and service he has received. Daniel and Beth Parker are 2 of the amazing Auberge family that have taken care of my father. They have a made a very difficult situation easier for our family and I would highly recommend this location if you had a LOVED one needing assistance and care! THANK YOU again for all the LOVE and kindness you have shown my dad over the last 5 weeks. We truly believe this is the BEST place for our father and could not be happier with our choice.

While my father was in the hospital his health status changed and he would not be able to return to his residential facility. Ryan worked very hard to get my dad accepted at the Auberge quickly, helping to resolve a very stressful situation for me.

I have had the chance to see "behind the scenes" at The Auberge at Cedar Park and I was incredibly impressed with the entire team. The residents are incredibly well taken care of, the community is clean and the staff are genuine, happy and committed to the residents. Top notch!

I had a great experience with Auberge in Cedar Park in thanks to Melissa, the marketing director for the property. The facility is bright and airy with plenty of space to roam. I can not overstate how helpful Melissa was during this time, I was in a situation where I needed to move my mom very quickly and she went above and beyond to set-up the perfect arrangements for our family. Also, their facility is one of very FEW in Austin that can handle all types and stages of dementia. They even have a behavior health nurse on staff, which I had never encountered in all the many places I visited. My mom has FTD, which is a challenging disease, and they are more than prepared and experienced to make her at home. Thank you to Mel and Sophie for running a much needed operation in our community.

The employees here are awesome and do a great job maintaining the highest level of service for the residents here. The residents are treated with the highest level of respect and dignity. These people are deeply concerned with providing the absolute best level of care. Come tour this location if your loved one needs assistance with memory care.

The staff is very attentive to the residence needs and concerns. They have-amazing meal choices, along with a variety of snacks in each neighborhood, that are readily available all day. Two thumbs up Auberge at Cedar Park!!
