Having to put a loved one in assisted living is one of the hardest decisions we've had to make; choosing Arbors Assisted Living was easy. Mom has Alzheimer's and was doing well in her home with daily visits. Home was the one place she remembered. We were managing caring for her needs the best we could and then one day that changed. She needed more care after an injury with hospitalization and a rehab stay. Knowing the reputation of The Arbors made the decision to contact them easy. The Arbors is a private, family-owned business that we can tell values the care and reputation that serves its residents, and it shows. Having an apartment available in the Reflections Memory Unit (10 apartments, 12 residents) was a sign that this was meant to be. Allyson was our first point of contact and from that point on everyone we have encountered has been 5. One can see that the staff members here are not just hired, they are chosen and trained to high standards. The staff began knowing our mom before she arrived and all of that made the process that much easier. We have been guided and welcomed through this whole process and couldn't feel better with our decision. We had thought of keeping mom in her home and finding 24/7 care but realizing the stress of scheduling and trusting those care providers was beyond what we were capable of. Not to mention the expense could have been double. The Arbors takes care of all that-meals, laundry, activities and top-notch care. In the reflections unit it is not uncommon to see a staff member hold a resident's hand or sit by them; there is much love felt here. Mom has adjusted well and although she may at times mention home, we see all that it has done for her. Rehab had diminished her and now she is once again thriving; interacting with other residents and daily activities have brought her back to life. The facility is beautiful and well cared for and residents feel respected and honored like elders should. The Arbors staff always put their residents' needs first and they are all known by name; newcomers are welcomed into their family. The care, love and compassion given by the staff is felt and it is everything we had hoped for. We are so thankful to have a great place for mom where she is safe and well cared for. She can continue to live rather than exist for the rest of her life and we can continue to live our lives as well. Being able to visit her rather than just care for her is priceless.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful the Arbors is. Not just for the residents, but also for their families. Its HOME Its SAFE Its HAPPY My mom's friends all say how lucky they are to be there. There is so much to do and no one is excluded from participating. One BIG HAPPY family. Staff and the residents all take care of each other. We are blessed to have them in our lives. They are the most amazing staff from the director to all that work there.

I started with the Arbors in 2002, My Grandmother lived her twice, we felt secure having her living here because of the Family atmosphere and my loving Co workers also the fact that I could keep a close eye on her myself. All of the staff took her under their wing to make her feel secure, they loved her so much they all called her Grandma Rose! Thank you Arbors for showing her all your love!!

My grandfather lived here before he passed and the staff became like family. I started working here 3 years ago and even moved my aunt here about a year ago. Staff and residents are great, very friendly and everyone is always taking care of each other.

I have been a geriatric social worker in the valley for over 20 years. I frequently assist my clients with moves into assisted living facilities. I work with the Arbors Chicopee frequently. The marketing director is always very helpful in making the transition smooth and easy. I had a client move to the Arbors Chicopee recently, after leaving his home in the community of 50 years. He always tells me how much he likes and that it feels like home. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. They take caring for their residents seriously. It's a pleasure to work with the facility and more importantly a blessing to have my clients become residents.

When we were looking for a place where our mom could live independently in an apartment but have the services necessary to keep her safe we looked at a number of assisted living communities. Most have nice facilities, a variety of services and well maintained accommodations. We chose the Arbors in Chicopee because it was large enough to offer the services she needed and the diversity of activities to keep her active. Other places were so large we were afraid she would get lost, both in terms of finding her way around the place as well as being lost in the sheer number of people in the facility. After being there for two months we are confident we have made the right decision for our mom. For someone who really did not want to be there initially she has adapted and now throughly enjoys her new living environment. While the Arbors is a nice facility, what we have come to learn is that it’s the employees that make the place so inviting. Everyone is friendly, outgoing, and helpful and SO focused on the residents. We are constantly amazed at how everyone there will drop what they are doing to help the residents or answer a question. Employees go out of their way to provide assistance and make sure she is included in activities. They are also very responsive to her needs as well as the requests from her family. When this behavior is so pervasive it has to be part of the culture. We would highly recommend the Arbors in Chicopee to anyone considering an assisted living community.

It can be so difficult as a beloved family member ages and declines to know how to best help them. When our mother needed more care and could no longer live on her own we searched long and hard to find the correct place. From the moment we walked in the door we knew we had found the right place when we went to visit the Arbors. It feels as though you're stepping into a luxury hotel or resort. All the staff are unfailingly polite and kind. There are activities multiple times a day 7 days a week. The staff is always there to prompt mom to go down for her meals if she doesn't show up or to ask her if she wants to go to the activities. They check on her throughout the night to make sure she's safe. And the meals are served in a beautiful lovely dining room. It is the best possible place I could imagine for my mother. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been working for the Arbors at Chicopee for almost 4 years. I can honestly say that it is the most wonderful place I have ever worked. I truly love my job and all my co workers.. I’ve never felt so appreciated and cared about as an employee as I have these past few years working there. I highly recommend anyone looking to work for an Assisted living facility to apply at the Arbors. It’s not only a great place to work, it also feels really good to know you make a difference in the lives of the residents who live there.

My dad was there for about 3 years, a decision we came to after the passing of my mother when his dementia made it challenging for us to provide the care he needed. While he was there, I did not have to worry as much. He received excellent care and compassion. The staff was always there to help when needed, and happy to do so. On days when I would call and he was lonely and sad, I was able to reach out to the staff and they would stop in and talk with him to lift his spirits. Even on days when I would leave and I was upset, they would comfort me. I found the team at the Arbors to be more like extended family than staff. They always treated our whole family like their own family... and they care. They have given my loved ones -- both my father and now my aunt -- the best experience possible, succesfully making a home away from home. Forever grateful

My grandfather was at the Arbors for a few years with dementia. The staff went out of their way to help him not only stay on track with meds and meals but also to get him more involved with activities. Everyone is soo friendly and kept him company when family was not able to be there -- especially during COVID when visitors were not allowed. Truly grateful!!

My mother moved from another state to the Arbors after a medical emergency. As you can imagine, it was a difficult and disorienting transition, but honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better Assisted Living than the Arbors. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. In particular, everyone has worked so hard to ensure that my mother got settled, came to activities, and learned about all the amenities. The lovely staff have helped her to feel safe and at home. The activities are wonderful! There is so much going on, something for everyone. As a caregiver, I’ve felt supported through the whole process, and my mother has the assistance that she needs while also having her own apartment, so it’s just the right blend of independence and necessary help designed for her. The building itself is beautiful too. We discuss all the time how happy we are that my mother is at the Arbors.

My father has Alzheimers and lived in Reflections, the memory care part of the Arbors. Julie, the Reflections director, has over 20 years of experience and is an angel. I could not ask for a better person to take care of my dad. The staff are all experienced with memory care and are patient and compassionate. They keep the residents engaged and busy and take weekly trips for local dining and activities. My dad especially loved the therapy dog that visited. Arbors also made me as the family member feel welcome and at home there. We both became part of the Arbors community. I recommend it highly.

The Arbors at Chicopee has been a great place from my Mom. My Mom has been at the Arbors for 2 years now. She has been in Reflections for the last year. The reflections unit has been very attentive to my Mothers needs and adapted to what she requires. All the staff at the Arbors are extremely friendly and continually keep us informed of all activities going on. I would without a doubt recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable place for their loved ones.

Mom has been at The Arbors for six months and everyone here is so kind, caring and attentive. Mom has a lovely apartment and she has furniture from her home which makes her feel like shes at home! And, she now calls The Arbors home!!! There are so many daily activities. I am at peace knowing that Mom is in a safe environment and she is happy here! We definitely made the right decision to make The Arbors home for Mom!

My mother in law did not want to move from Her home. After two weeks at the Arbors she has acclimated well. She is happy to See us but not sad when we leave. The staff has been great and the other residents are good company for her. She is busy all day long and sleeps well at night. We all sleep well at night too

After taking my mom out of two so called skilled nursing homes and a locked dementia unit in another assisted living facility we found the Arbors Of Chicopee to be superior. Dementia has taken a toll on our family. We are grateful for the Reflections unit,Julie and her loving staff. My mom is treated with respect and dignity that all suffering from this disease deserve.
