One year ago, our father passed away. It's taken me a while to wrap my arms around the fact that he is no longer with us and to write this. Dad was such a wonderful man and a blessing to have as a role model and patriarch to our family. He was my hero. Shortly after my mother passed away, my father decided to move to North Shore Place. My siblings and I considered another place that culturally would have been a good fit for him, but in the end, we felt North Shore Place had the appropriate level of care (nurse on every floor), was close to my brother and to me and was aesthetically beautiful. Of course we were not sure what the care would be like, so made it a point to be present as much as possible. In the end, I can say, that my father was well taken care of. The staff was responsive and our father acclimated nicely. One night, his nurse called me to let me know my father was cold and asked if I could bring another blanket the next day. It was 10:00pm and I lived close by so I hoped in my car and brought him the blanket that night. When I walked into his apartment and opened his bedroom door, I saw that he was already under two blankets and his winter coat (as an aside, it was not cold in the room). The nurses could not have been more kind and found a temporary fix for him. He was so cute when I opened the door and he called to me: "Ifi?" (my nickname). "Hi Dad, I just wanted to bring you a blanket and say I love you." How I miss him and wish I could bring him a blanket again. But I can honestly say that we were blessed to have the wonderful care at NSP. They made our father feel safe and happy.

Wonderful community! The staff were instrumental in supporting our client's adjustment to memory care. They were very communicative with us and his family. They took amazing care of our client! Highly recommend!

I've been working at North Shore Place for a little over a year now. Like any job, there are ups and downs, but nothing will compare to the memories and connections I've made here. I love all my coworkers, especially my team. I'm very blessed that my boss always makes me feel super appreciated. I enjoy connecting with the residents whenever I get a chance as well. I have been providing drum circle programs for Northshore Place for several years. This place is has been a wonderful place to work for. Specifically, directors Victor and Dawn have been a pleasure to work with. They are both reliable, communicative, and genuinely care for all the residents. My experience working with them has been very positive. Furthermore, Northshore Place has wonderful amenities and accommodations for the residents. I highly recommend, without reservation, this place for any families looking for a place to move their parents. I always look forward to coming once a month and providing my services!

Our father has been living at North Shore Place for a little over a year now, and he and our family couldnt be happier. At age 92, hes enjoying delicious meals, various activities including movies, singalongs, and chair volleyball, along with the additional healthcare needs he has at his age. Hes even made some new friends. Their staff, led by Executive Director Josh Anderson, Director of Hospitality Jeff Walls and Health & Wellness Director Ally Garner have been so attentive with our familys various questions and proactive in identifying what our dad needs to stay healthy and fit and get the most out of his time there. This past year has posed tremendous challenges for the entire staff. Through it all, theyve taken great precautions to keep the residents safe and well while maintaining a warm sense of community for everyone who lives there. We feel so fortunate knowing our father is in the perfect place with such devoted support to enjoy his golden years.

After 2 1, 2 years of our Mom living there, my husband and I can truly give NSP a 5-star rating. They go above and beyond, immediately, to satisfy any issue you might have. As other reviews report, everyone working at NSP is kind, friendly, always helpful, competent, respectful, and outwardly happy to be working there. My more than 20 years of involvement with nursing homes, assisted and independent living facilities has given me a wide platform from which to compare. This facility is FABULOUS!! Thank you NSP..

I like Northshore because its a beautiful place. The people there are Friendly, loving, and caring, not to mention the variety of activities they provide. The North Shore is a worry-free 2nd home for your becoming of age family members.

The professional and friendly staff at North Shore Place reflects a commitment to making this assisted-living community a place you can trust. Im very impressed with the care our mom received here and the range of activities that were available. The people who work there are so kind including the valet, the people at the front desk, the food staff, the maintenance team, physical therapists, occupational therapists, the activities team, and of course the nursing staff. As they say, it takes a village!
