My mom has lived at Ocean Hills Assisted Living for 3 years. She really likes the facility and the exceptional staff. She recently had to go to Skilled Nursing for 2 months and was so very happy to be back at Ocean Hills. She has made great friends with the friendly residents and staff. She really enjoys the multitude of events and activities, so many to choose from. The environment is so welcoming and the dining room provides delicious meals, a good variety is offered with daily specials. I would highly recommend Ocean Hills for yourself or loved ones

A beautifully decorated assisted living facility with many areas for activities and relaxation including a beautiful courtyard with plenty of seating and bbq facilities, a movie theatre, game rooms, ice cream parlor, library with computers, activity room and spacious dining room and lobby. The at mosphere is very vibrant, uplifting and positive. Each day is filled with fabulous activities from morning to evening including exercise classes, card games, special live music and entertainment, happy hours, crafts, seasonal holiday parties, interesting lectures, lunch outings to the beach, and other outings to restaurants and places of interest in the San Diego area. Each day is topped off with an evening movie in the movie theatre. I highly recommend Ocean Hills Senior Living!

Beautiful community with great residents, but care staff/ med techs could care more. Completely unprofessional and rude. Some think being a caregiver is just a job when CARE is in the description. Residents should not be having to wait over 2 hours to be see by a Medtech. Not waiting over 40mins for a call to be answered. Been here since they first opened when staff really cared for the residents now seems like they’re just here for a paycheck.

Well run facility. Very clean, bright, cheery. Mom has lived here in assisted living for six months now. Compared to other facilities this place is a dream. The staff is excellent, attentive, and they always call me to let me know about meds, visitors, Moms condition, etc. They have a PA that comes to Ocean Hills to see patients, so no driving to Doctors visits. I highly recommend the assisted living option here and my wife and I are considering moving into the 55 plus building.

As a resident, I truly appreciate the pride that the Maintenance Department at Ocean Hills Independent Living takes in the upkeep of the building. When I moved in, my apartment looked brand new”as if no one had ever occupied it. And since moving in, all requests for work have been completed quickly and with the care they would use at their own home. The Maintenance Department goes the extra mile to provide excellent service!

My parents have been living at Ocean Hills for more than 2 years. My 92 year-old dad recently had a medical incident and staff at OceanHills Independent have been great about checking in with them and providing us with resources in our time of need. Initially it was the aesthetics that drew me in. Having visited several facilities Ocean Hills felt like a breath of fresh air. A place I could spend time at . Mom made good friends among staff and residents. It’s a community that happens to be for older people; not a convalescence home. (Though there is an affiliate for the infirm and for memory care). Mom passed recently and was warmly remembered. The family is grateful she had the chance to enjoy the people and activities of Ocean Hills.

my mother loved living at O.H.S.L she has recently passed away. The residents and staff were so helpful and loving to me and my family. The staff worked with me to get everything done. If you want your loved one to feel as if they have the love and care as if they are family, then this is the place for you. I want to live here. I have no regrets. PS the staff are the best I have ever met and plan to come visit them and all my mom's friends. You guys save her life after my dad passed. THANK YOU!!!!!!

This is by far the best place for my mom to be. 1. The staff is great 2. The food is the best 3. The residence are friendly, caring and helpful. This place is like one big happy family (staff and residence). My mother moved in February of this year and LOVES it here. Her friends come to visit and want to stay. They live in the east coast. They are jealous of her with the way she is treated and cared for. The activities they have are great. Overall this is the best.

My 80y mother is stubburn (!) and has copacity to make her own decisions. She wants what she wants, and that's that. When she fell and broke her hip and wrist, it was no longer safe for her to live alone out on 8+ acres (1st responders had a tough time getting out there). It was no small chore to find her a safe living facility that she would agree to. She stayed at Oceanhills Senior Living (OSL) after the SNF got her mobile again. She stated "I'm not going to live here. I'm just staying until I'm better". Nearly a year later she calls OSL home! She all but gave up when my father (married 50+yrs) passed a year earlier. She decided to be DNR if it came down to it. Since her stay at OSL she is thriving- happy hour, bingo, painting, many friends, etc. She has decided she is no longer DNR, which means... she wants to continue living. That's what OSL has done. The staff are *WONDERFUL*! Can't emphasize that enough. The facility is *very clean* and current with decore, maintainence, housekeeping, culinary choices (*great food*), service, electric vehicle chargers, etc. The pictures you see- they are accurate, no smoke and mirrors or exagerated pics. Truley a wonderful campus. Thank you OSL for giving me my mom back and putting the sparkle back in her eyes!

This facility is amazing, well organized, clean and the entire staff was A-1..... Bill, a young man who is in the maintenance dept. helped us with our handicap situation. The Restaurant staff was outstanding!! and their food menu was great.

My mother in law just moved into this beautiful facility. I have to say that my husband and I are so pleased with everything this place has to offer. She is staying on the independent living wing here. It does offer assisted living also if needed. They offer lunch and dinner at an amazing restaurant and the apartments are perfect for the residents here. Not to big yet not to small. They offer guest rooms if a family member wants to visit also. They have great activities such as bingo and have happy hour. They also have a theater room if you want to watch a movie also. The staff has not only been great with her but also very kind and patient through out the whole process. I highly recommend this facility.

Over two years ago I injured my back and was hospitalized. After being released an assisted living facility was recommended to continue to help with recovery. Fortunately for me, Ocean Hills Assisted Living was recommended. The incredible staff there made the recovery process possible. My apartment, the lovely dining room, good food, laundry, and housekeeping were an added bonus and within a year, I was able care for myself with confidence. I then decided the "independent" facility was where I needed to be as I wanted to be able to take care of myself and still enjoy the amenities offered. An apartment with a complete kitchen, my own washer and dryer, and a housekeeper once a week. Who could ask for more? I didn't need to ask as it was already there, that being an incredible staff always ready to help. A dining room and a chef whose menus are, not only delicious, the variety, incredible. I am particularly fond of soup and his soup varieties, AMAZING! The facility is well thought out. The interior, when you first arrive beautiful and very welcoming and a place to sit, relax, and visit with other residents or family. If crafts and art interest you, there is plenty of room in an area set aside for that, card games, exercise, etc. There is a courtyard that is filled with greenery and a perfect place to enjoy our beautiful weather, relax, read a book, visit family, or other residents. AND A POOL! An occasional barbeque is offered, outings to explore beautiful Oceanside, shopping, entertainment, restaurants - RETIREMENT heaven. And, if traveling is your passion, you can do so without worry, you know everything will be as you left it upon your return. Mary Cox

She felt alone until she come here now she is thinking of living here. She can not wait to come back. I am more than delighted to recommend the tremendous community of Ocean Hills Senior Living and specifically the wonderful work of their Activities Director Anisa Enciso. As a professional musician honored to perform at 12-15 communities per month I can’t help but notice things. Senior communities are precious in providing such necessary care for our aging. Unfortunately they are not all the same. Just as you can tell a lot about a gardener by the condition of his garden, so you can tell a lot about a senior community by the faces and attitudes of their residents “ at Ocean Hills they speak VOLUMES and testify to the great care and diligent attention they receive from Anisa. Unlike others, Anisa does not try to fit the resident to an activity “ rather she fits the activity to the resident. Believe me, there’s a huge difference. I always take the time to visit with and get to know those whom I entertain. After all, I play music from their era and they are happy to engage and chat. And I listenthe joy and happiness from the Ocean Hills residents speaks for itself. But it doesn’t happen all by itself. There’s a LOT of hard work and planning that goes into making their later years enjoyable. With Anisa that hard work and planning is meticulous, well thought out and apparently very consistent. I wish I could say the same for all of the communities I perform at. Anisa treats her residents with great warmth, tender care and attentiveness. You will never regret living at Ocean Hills Senior Community “ nor will you ever have to worry when loved one moves there.

We recently came to a very tough decision to put my Grandmother diagnosed with Dementia, into a memory care/assisted living facility. The trouble was finding a place that we not only trusted, but making sure it was somewhere that would make my Grandma feel at home, & not some old people place where the people treat you mean! as my Grammy would say. () I am extremely blessed and grateful to say that Ocean Hills Senior Living is the home we immediately fell in love with for my Grandma. When touring/visiting Ocean Hills for the first time, I personally felt as if I were in an upscale hotel, with a dash of a relaxing resort, and a whole lot of feeling safe in a beautiful home types of vibes. If you couldn’t tell already by my explanation, it was love at first sight for me! I could feel it in my bones that this was the right place for my Grandma. People will always take pride in being able to put their loved one(s) in a facility that’s appealing visually, but the view will never matter if the staff are not dedicated to their work. Thankfully there was not ONE single staff member that I met, who made me feel anything less than warm, welcomed, and equipped with all of the necessary tools to meet my Grandma’s needs physically and emotionally. The staff instantly knew how to calm down my Grammy and make her feel safe, which was beautiful to see to say the least! If ANYONE is looking for a facility that will give you the help your family member(s) needs, peace of mind that they are taken care of, and most importantly ( I repeat ) WILL KEEP your loved one SAFE, then I urge you to visit this location. The staff alone, along with my Grammy make the 3 hour commute here more than worth it, although it is hard being away from my Grandma. This review is VERY important to me, because if these angels (as I call the staff) at Ocean Hills can keep my loved one happy and healthy, that’s the moment this becomes crucial that I spread as much awareness possible about this facility in hopes that we can help even ONE family discover Ocean Hills living, then only will this review have served its purpose. We pray that this finds whoever needs help, as placing someone you love that needs help in a new environment is never easy. Remember you are not alone, your family WILL get through this, and it’s places like Ocean Hills living that remind and show you of just that. ™

We recently had the need to select an assisted living facility for our parents. Obviously this is a very important decision so we invested considerable time researching and evaluating our options. In the end we selected Ocean Hills and could not be happier with our decision. Throughout the evaluation process, the staff was extremely professional, responsive and helpful. We had a number of complex details we needed to work through given our specific situation and they were supportive and helpful each step of the way. This high level of care has continued since moving in. The staff is very attentive, supportive and great at communicating with our family. In summary, the incredible facility, supportive staff, high level of care and "can do" attitude of everyone we have interacted with has made the transition to assisted living a positive experience. I am a woman in her mid-70's who has been living at OHSL for a year now, initially to recover after the untimely death of my husband. I have been very happy here, with the facility, its location, and my lifestyle. It is a beautiful new building completed 18 months ago, with lots of light, attractive grounds and tasteful furnishings.The staff are, without exception, pleasant, friendly and caring. The food is excellent and varied, with many daily options, including wine and ice cream. There is also medical support for any residents who require mobility or medication assistance. My stay was intended to be short, but I found it easy to settle in, and am reluctant to return to my large and lonely house, especially since the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic in February and it's associated restrictions. By following appropriate guidelines, none of our residents have contracted the virus so far, and the staff continue to work hard to maintain activities and events for us all, until our lives can normalize. I am happy to recommend anyone interested in coming to OHSL, to take a visit. Gillian

I suffered an injury to my left arm last November. To make things even worse, I had a stroke in the beginning of February. Luckily, my son and daughter researched all the assisted living places in Northern San Diego County and had me released to Ocean Hills Senior Living three weeks later. I cannot rave enough about the care I have received here. I have made over a 95% recovery and will be moving back to my home in about a month. The staff at Ocean Hills Senior Living deserves most of the credit for my recovery. When I was released from the hospital I was placed in memory care with complete supervision by the staff. I made remarkable recovery progress and was released from total care to independent living in less than a month. The staff are always available to assist me whenever I need help. The chef has been extremely helpful in preparing a special menu for a religious holiday, which will be used annually in the future. He has also helped me with many other special needs. The activities director has gone beyond in supporting me with various activities. She is the best! The medical staff leader has also been so helpful in assisting me to get what I need. I can't thank her enough. The ladies at the front desk are always there to help the residents. The dining room supervisor is another outstanding support person. He helps me daily! I could go on and on. The person who helped me the most was Kurt, the former director. I literally cried when he left. However, the new director is a welcome addition who is trying to continue the best leadership under changing guidelines. I know that she will be quite successful!

Enjoyed a great Grand Opening event yesterday. What a beautiful community. It was like a luxury apartment community with lots of amenities and designed not just for Seniors but for their families and grandchildren in mind. Large outdoor space for barbecues and family events, sports bar, even an ice cream parlor. Met some residents who all seemed very proud that this was their home. Lots of smiling faces!

Ocean Hills Senior Living in Oceanside, CA is worth checking out! The staff is wonderful and accommodating. They are a brand new community located in Oceanside, CA yet close enough to Carlsbad and Vista if your looking for a facility in North County. I was greeted by Caroline and she had scheduled a tour for me with Angelica. The facilities are brand new and amazing! They offer both assisted living and memory care apartments. I was very impressed with their property. Give them a call or stop in, just be sure you visit this community either with or without your loved one so you can be sure they will be well cared for.
