Although we chose to place my elderly parents at Morningstar at Laurelhurst, Lesa went above and beyond our expectations in explaining the care residents receive and led us through the tour of the facilities and activities offered at Morningstar at Beaverton. The model rooms are beautifully presented and the one-month free rent was very enticing! We highly recommend anyone who is looking for Assisted or Memory Care units to consider Morningstar!

My mother was at Morningstar Senior Assisted Living in Beaverton for a short time before she passed away recently. She was hesitant to leave her home, especially after repeated trips to the hospital and rehab but understood she needed to be in a facility with 24/7 care. Mom realized soon after arriving at Morningstar she was not in a hospital or rehab type setting, but rather a more home-like clean and organized atmosphere which we truly believe made her more comfortable and allowed her to pass away peacefully. Everybody on staff including front desk receptionist/greeter Heidi, CRA Lesa, RN Emily, SS Magen, and many others cared and treated her and our family with dignity and respect and none of us ever felt discouraged from visiting, but rather encouraged to do so. I highly recommend Morningstar of Beaverton, particularly if your loved one prefers to stay at a home away from home in their final days where they will be properly cared for and kept comfortable. Incredibly warm and welcoming (& clean!) environment, offering compassionate care and attention to detail every step of the way, from the business office to the amazing care team (every one!) to the helpful support services. If I could rate them higher than 5-stars, I would. MS was an answer to prayer and our family is beyond grateful!

The Most Caring and Attentive Staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and know on a first name basis! Be sure to check out the MS dining room! Food is exceptional and Chef John runs a tight ship in the kitchen. Servers are fun and friendly and engage with the resident seniors like they are family. From the concierge desk to Med Techs this is a thriving community of senior life. Something for everyone here: holiday celebrations , social events , a cool movie theater, musical guests, arts & crafts, a beauty salon, a gym, and so much more!! Moving my parents to Assisted Living was a very difficult transition for them and our whole family. However, MorningStar has made it better and more positive than any of us could have imagined. My mom was in memory care for nearly 3 years. I wouldn't say we had the greatest experience. The first 6 months she was there was during COVID and they allowed us to meet with her outside which we appreciated. She was confused and angry and wanted to be home with my Dad and it would have been horrible for her to be alone without her family. Once we were able to be with her inside we were able to meet the staff and they were all very nice and caring. Diana was the med tech and was always so sweet to everyone. My dad visited regularly (in the beginning once a day and the last year twice a day to help with feeding). He would ask about how much she had for meals when he wasn't there. For some reason Diana took offense to this. To the point where she avoided my parents at all costs. If my dad was there she wouldn't give my mom her meds until after he left. My dad would ask her why she was acting this way and she would say she was too busy and turn away from him. He spoke with Devon who was the manager there and he said he would talk to her but nothing ever came of if. My dad said he tried to get a meeting with Devon and Diana but Diana apparently started crying and refused. She was great with everyone else just not my mom and dad. This treatment went on for the last year before my mom passed. 2 nights before my mom passed he went in later in the evening. My mom was out in the main room by herself. Diana came walking up the hall and saw him and panicked so much to have to see him face to face that she ran into the bathroom! Whether she was offended by his questions or not, she is the professional there and he only cared about how my mom was doing. So very immature of her! The rest of the staff was great. I want to send my heartfelt thanks to Elizabeth, Ranay and Ranay's sister, Hau, Mel & David. I'm sure there were others who took good care of my mom but I don't know their names.

My mom was one of the first seven residents of MorningStar Beaverton, and she enjoyed her time there. There have certainly been times when things were not as good as they are now, but even then, overall, my mother had a great experience. She started out in a studio, and moved to a one-bedroom. Both rooms were very nice, but what has really stood out was the people my mom interacted with there. Her caretakers have been superb. Over the years she's had so many great people take care of her, I know I'll miss someone, but Erin, Alison, Vanessa, Shedon, Thelma, Pam, David and everyone else have just been wonderful. The kitchen staff has changed over the years as well. Early on I had bland meals, but in the last week when my wife and I moved in to help my mom's passing, the food was great, and one time even delivered to my mom's room by one of the chefs. They have lots of activities throughout the day, and while I was preoccupied, occasionally I'd walk by one in progress and they were always high quality and looked like they'd be enjoyable if I was sticking around the activities areas or lobby. As mom's condition deteriorated and the only reason that she left her room since COVID was to go to the hospital, she was less and less a part of these activities. But when she did go to them, she enjoyed them. As we've been moving Mom's belongings out of the room, we've been visited by many of the staff, and they've just been wonderful. If you're looking for a great place for your loved one to enjoy their elderly years, I could not think of a better place than MorningStar Beaverton.

Morning Star has been am excellent choice for my Mom. The memory care unit is clean, safe, decorated very nice and smells good!!! The staff is amazing and the food is good too!! There is an art room, work out room, activity room with kitchen and a lot of games. There is also a theater, art room, beauty shop and a large dining room. They have a grand piano, library and a bistro. The staff is very good and attentive. And they are all very nice and experienced.

I was honored to go to a open house at Morning Star Assisted Living. I absolutely love all the detail they have to include luxuries galore, fireplace library, Bistro, large dining room, grand piano, nice gathering areas on each floor and all the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The ED and people who work there are professional, polite and have a genuine interest in the residents. I would highly recommend you go on a tour and see for yourself.

Wow! Impressed! My husband and I visited my parents today for the first time in 6 months on the outside beautiful deck of the facility. While sitting there talking to my mom and dad, I noticed the staff inside vacuuming, cleaning in a most impeccable manner! I observed at least 4 employees working at cleaning the dining room area and the floors of the location with impeccable concentration. It wasn't something that we were looking for but could not help but notice as we visited with my parents how hard the staff was cleaning the interior of Morning Star. It made me pause and take a look at the beautiful deck and once again I noticed how clean and beautiful everything looked. At the end of our visit my father paged for help and immediately a CNA responded to him. This left my husband and I with a positive feeling that my mom and dad are safe here and looked after.

The staff are incredible people, the entire facility is clean and bright, no bad smells and the food is great. If you're looking for a care facility for a loved one, I would highly recommend checking out Morning Star. You won't be disappointed.

My mom moved into MorningStar in August of this year. She had been through quite a transition after a hip surgery and was now ready for assisted living. I looked at many before choosing MorningStar taking into account all reviews and what environment would be the best fit for her. What I found is this facility is evolving into a stellar, well managed location offering not only amazing, caring services to keep my mom safe, but also a rock star chef who’s food my mom raves about all the time. No place is perfect - but this place comes pretty darn close. MorningStar staff work SO hard to meet moms needs, as well as the family’s, when any questions or situations may arise. We actually have a dream team who we love - and they do moms hair perfectly. They know mom loves music - so they make sure she gets to every performance that comes. It’s the little things that count sometimes to make someone feel cared for - and put the family at ease - and they’ve nailed it. I would encourage anyone to check out this MorningStar location in Beaverton and see if it would be a good fit for your loved one. It’s a warm atmosphere, slower pace, lots of natural light and everyone is extremely helpful, genuine and friendly.

I toured Morning Star a few weeks ago and I can not begin to tell you how impressed I was! As I entered, the residents were being entertained by a singer and his accompanist. He was singing classic songs from the 30's 40's and 50's. To watch the residents sing along or tap their foot with a smile on their face was heartwarming! I was welcomed by a staff member that toured me around what I can only describe as a beautiful home in a caring neighborhood. There was so much positive interaction between and amounst residents and staff. I was introduced to many residents and felt welcomed in this friendly neighborhood. The living environment is just amazing! Upscale living quarters with modern amenities, decorations, and appliances. The dining room is inviting and social. It was nice to see residents in the movie, gym, and library rooms which provided social interaction opportunities. I can't say enough about this place, it is a must see! I want to live here!
