As a professional musician who performs regularly at this assisted living community, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the care and attention given to the residents. The staff is consistently friendly, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment. What impresses me most is the way the residents are treated with dignity and respect. The activities team does an excellent job of keeping residents engaged, and it is always rewarding to see the smiles, participation, and enjoyment during musical performances and community events. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a positive atmosphere that makes residents feel at home. Family members can feel confident knowing their loved ones are in a caring environment where their well-being is clearly a priority. I've waited almost a year to write this review, but approaching the anniversary of my mom's passing has encouraged me to give an honest review. If looking for a lovely space for yourself or an aging parent that lives mostly independently, the apartments at Solana are well designed and do not feel institutional. However, if you need regular assistance, or in our case memory care, I caution you to the limitations of this facility. We moved my mother into Solana's memory care with advanced level Alzheimer's under the impression she would be closely cared for. After a few months it became apparent that staff was constantly turning over and care was being missed. While there were a few really amazing and stand-out care givers and medical technicians, they came and went quickly. I get it- burnout in this industry is real. It's a really tough job. Unfortunately, overall we were hugely disappointed with management and spent the last year of my mother's life in constant worry. Despite paying substantially for every level of care possible, we were told that they could not provide constant supervision for her and that "we should hire a sitter". We ended up hiring a full time care giver to supplement her care to ensure she was changed, toileted, and kept from falling (which was happening almost daily). It was then that we realized that many of the care-givers we'd seen in the building when we toured or visited were not actually Solana staff, but outside supplemental care givers hired by the residents' families. I'm leaving 2 stars- one star for the beautiful building and the garden that gave me some of my final memories with my mom and one star for the few staff members that saw my mother at her very worst and cared for her anyway.

My Mother has been a resident at 4 assisted living facilities and while each of them has had positive features, I have never seen a facility where the Executive Director, who is not an owner, is so hands on and invested in the care of the residents and their families. There has never been a time that I visited Mom where she has not been seen. Shevon is really caring and this attitude is exhibited by her staff as well. At the front desk, Wanda is so easy to lend a hand to a resident or family member as well as JoAnn who is kind and caring, making the residents feel special! DeAndre, Vivian and a host of others work to show my mother love and it really warms my heart! This past weekend the staff put on a lovely "Breakfast at Tiffany's" themed Brunch. We could not be happier with their efforts. Many thanks to Shelia O as well. She has really been a wonderful RCD. All in all, we see our Mom thriving at Solana.

Shevon Phillips, Executive Director, is taking Leadership to the next level at The Solona East Cobb. Our mother transitioned to Solana in November 2025 from a place she called home for 40+ years. Excited, no. Positive, no. Sad, yes. I surprised her during breakfast at Solana on a recent Sunday. Roughly just six months after her move in date. What I experienced still has me smiling. She was so excited to see me. She introduced me to all her new friends, or new family as I was promptly corrected. Everyone made a fuss over everyone. It was a precious moment to be apart of to say the least. Excited, yes. Positive, yes. Sad, no.

I was dropping off a delivery at the facility and the smell of food coming from the caf© made it feel warm and inviting, like walking into someone’s home during dinner. The caf© area is such a nice touch too. It’s cozy, bright, and gives residents a place to gather, chat, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a space that feels welcoming and full of life. Will definitely be sharing with family members in the area who need support with their loved ones care.

Beautiful community with lots of light and great outdoor space. They kept it clean. Good size rooms with lots of light. Staff was very kind but there was a lot of turnover while my mom was there [e.g. no memory care director for a couple of months, many aides who were there for only a short period of time]. Wanda, the receptionist, is awesome, as is Mary Bennett - both go out of their way to help and really care about the residents. Ultimately, I moved my mom because I felt she wasn't getting the attention she needed as a higher functioning memory care resident. The activities were geared toward lower functioning residents so she didn't want to participate and she spent most of her time in her room. The activities director did her best, but she was pulled in many different directions because they were under-staffed. The activities director was a wonderful person to have there, but she also is now gone. I moved my mom to a much smaller different community in Sandy Springs. It is less aesthetically pleasing, but they really have paid attention to my mom and integrated her into the community. I think Solana has a lot of potential, but in my opinion, the staff turnover had an impact on care. Yelp reviews have a different take than what you see here. If looking for a place for your loved one, you should read those as well.

I attended a professional senior provider network at this lovely community. I can’t say enough about how beautiful, bright and clean it is. I met most of the management team and there’s so many good things I could share with you about their warm and professional environment. Solana East Cobb, is clearly in the upper echelon of Senior living communities.

I’ve been marketing in the Marietta area for about 5 to 6 years nowand Wanda has been absolutely amazing every time I come into the building. If there is an award for the best concierge, she has definitely earned it!

My father has been at Solana East Cobb for a little over 5 years now. Overall it has been a very good experience. The staff is friendly and responsive. The building is pleasant to be in and there are green spaces outside to enjoy. Everyone knows my dad and tries to engage with him, even though his dementia can make that difficult. The staff is aware of his peculiarities and do their best to accommodate him. No communal living facility is perfect, but Solana East Cobb is working hard to be the best in the area. We are glad that this is where we were able to move Dad when he needed memory care.

The Solana at east Cobb is wonderful and my mom was staying there before she die and they took care of my mom and make sure her needs was up kept, I love the activities is wonderful, I met a wonderful young lady at the Solana at east Cobb, she was so helpful and always willing to help when I came, she always smile and greet me when I arrive to see my mom, her name Kelly, she has a beautiful ascent, she is a nice young lady to my family.

What truly sets the Solana apart is its exceptional team. Executive Director Shevon works tirelessly to ensure residents are well cared for and supported. Resident Care Director Sheila consistently delivers high-quality care, while Memory Care Director Malerie leads a vibrant memory care community, always seeking ways to improve and enhance services. The Sales team, Megan and Mary, not only educate families on how the Solana can support aging in place but also provide helpful resources if it’s not the right fit, a testament to their integrity and commitment to families’ well-being. To further elevate their care, they recently welcomed a new Wellness Director, Tonya, whose role strengthens both staff support and resident care. It was a great experience for our family when my mom moved into The Solana East Cobb. We were relieved to find a place for mom so close to our home and so close to all the great things that East Cobb has to offer! The Solana is a very clean and beautifully decorated place, much like a 5-star hotel, with friendly and caring staff which you experience when you first walk through the front door. The Solana strives to do all with excellence and attention to detail. Different levels of care and services are offered to customize to each resident's specific needs. Mom enjoyed the residents there, and also the experienced staff, each of whom were attentive to her specific medical and physical needs. Numerous innovative and fun daily events, activities, and exercise programs are offered that mom could choose from to attend. She also greatly enjoyed the popular salon for hair and nail appointments on site. The entire building including the resident's apartments are designed with 10' high ceilings and an upscale d©cor throughout, giving a feeling of spaciousness and light to residents to enjoy daily and is such a pleasure for family visits. The resident's apartments are large and spacious with galley kitchens, bathrooms, and large cabinets. The open areas like the dining room and caf©, as well as the well-landscaped outdoor areas and patios for events make it such a lovely place for all to enjoy during visits. Many thanks to the Solana at East Cobb staff!!!

If I could give more stars, I would! We looked at several communities to find the perfect place for our mother, and The Solana's Evergreen community was by far the obvious choice. Mama is a member of the Founders Club, and she moved in April 2019; and none of us could be happier. She is cared for, safe, engaged, and loved. We are beyond grateful for the outstanding and attentive care our entire family has received!

My wife has been in the memory care facility of Salona since April of 2019. After checking out many facilities, Salona was the number one choice. The place is absolutely beautiful.....light, airy, and spotless. The management team is experienced and adheres to strict industry standards. Lots of activities during the day with outstanding caregivers. Friendly personnel. Highly recommend Salona of East Cobb.

My mother-in-law has been at Solana, in the Evergreen community, since April. It has been such a positive experience and I can't say enough about everyone that works there! The office staff, front desk personnel, caregivers, med techs, maintenance, housekeeping, and activities staff are all wonderful!! After my mother-in-law had a recent hospital stay, everyone has been so kind, helpful and attentive. It has further solidified my opinion that Solana is the best place to be!

We have been more than pleased with Solana East Cobb. My mother is in the Evergreen community. The staff is fantastic. They seem to love the residents and the residents love them! It’s truly a family atmosphere. There are many activities the residents can participate in every day that are fun and creative. The facility is always spotless and my mother says the food is great! We are so grateful for the love and great care that my mother has received at Solana.

My parents have lived at The Solana for 6 months and it has been a wonderful experience. The place is beautifully decorated-like a luxury hotel. They have many options for daily activities. The staff are so helpful and kind. It is so nice to know they are well taken care of and can enjoy life without the stress of home ownership or health and safety concerns.
