I recently toured The Blake while searching for an assisted living community for my mother-in-law, and I was truly impressed. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and offers so many wonderful amenities for its residents. It was easy to see how much thought has gone into creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. What stood out the most, though, was Mary Beth. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcome and at ease. She patiently answered every question I had, addressed all of my concerns, and never made me feel rushed. You can genuinely tell how much she cares about the residents and their families. Her compassion, kindness, and dedication shine through in everything she does. Searching for assisted living can be an emotional and overwhelming process, but Mary Beth made it so much easier. She is truly exceptional at what she does, and The Blake is fortunate to have someone as caring and knowledgeable as her on their team. I'm so happy we found this facility for my mother in law. My wife now has peace being able to leave her for a few days knowing she is being well taken care of. She was with us for 7 years before moving here. When we visit she is happy and talks about bingo all the time. I cannot say enough great things about the Blake and Mary Bethany. She goes above and beyond every day. The entire experience has been so stress free. Emotional for me, but she eased the pain. My mother is in the memory care community. The care she has received from the entire staff is amazing. The day she moved in, they took her to the day room and had her playing Bingo and laughing. She wasnt very active at her previous place. Every time I visit, she is dressed well, she got a nice haircut, her room is immaculate and clean. I am very happy and it has taken alot of worry off my mind. We enjoyed Easter dinner with her today in a private room. It was beautifully decorated by Mary Bethany. I highly recommend the Blake at Carnes Crossroads.

We did a tour of The Blake with Harlan. Harlan was so nice and very helpful with the entire process moving into the Blake . The women at the front desk( morning and night ) are very friendly and sweet . Maintenance guys are really nice and helpful also .My Mom ended up moving into the Blake mid- December. My Mom was placed into the memory care unit. The memory care unit is always clean when I visit which is a lot . Memory care patients sometimes forget to eat but the girls working there always come to Mom’s room and take her to dining area. Kristen, the memory care activities coordinator is so wonderful and very knowledgeable about memory care patients and what they need to keep them active and socializing. My Mom loves her. She is so good with Mom and I am very pleased with the progress Mom has made being there. Mom is sociable/active now and really enjoying the Blake . Kristen even sent me videos of Mom dancing and having fun which was awesome to me. Latonya works with Kristen and she is so sweet and both keep me informed about how Mom is doing . I don’t know all of the names on staff at the memory care unit but I will say they have always been so very kind and helpful towards me and always inform me about how Mom is doing .Mom and I made the perfect choice choosing The Blake . Mom is taken care of at The Blake and I am at peace knowing she is Great hands !

I participated in a trunk or treat back at Halloween in 2025. I have been to many nursing homes between visiting family and volunteering. I would just like to say - I don't think there are happier residents elsewhere. It is so clear that everyone here, including the staff, is so full of joy! The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a great quality of life for everyone, and it couldn't be clearer. It is a relief to know that there are still places that truly care about their elderly. I have seen some awful conditions, and I know in my heart that the residents here are more than happy!

I have 2 friends (previous neighbors of mine) residing here at The Blake, that I frequently visit on a monthly basis. I also have other friends/ previous church members that I visit in other local communities too. And I will say, I love the feeling I get, when I visit The Blake. It's a very clean facility and I am always greeted with a smile from their front desk associates. One of them being Carol, she is typically there on the weekends when I mostly visit, she is a DELIGHT! Most staff are! One thing I learned from visiting all these communities...There is No perfect one! You can't please everybody, staffing is always the main reason of why complaints happen, but I find, it's how they overcome the negatives and turn them into more positives! And I can assure you, that The Blake is one to do that! My friends are very happy here and have No desire to leave!

After touring several assisted living facilities in my area I was lucky to stumble upon the Blakes in Summerville. Unsure about the next steps for my aging parents; the sales staff ( Mary Bethany & Harlin ) were more than helpful, they were empathetic and supportive every step of the way. As I found myself stumbling through the steps to make my parents feel comfortable in the new community. Everyone there from the staff at the front desk when you enter the front entrance, the personal assistants, the cafeteria personel and the medical staff that administer daily medication; everyone has been very very supportive and empathetic to our family situation. For that I am so very grateful. I would recommend the Blakes in Summerville to others that are looking for a community for their aging parents or loved ones as well. They have become our extended family.... THANK YOU.

So far it's great! My mom lives alone and fell and broke her wrist, so we both decided that an assisted living facility would be best for her while she heals, and we chose The Blake. For now we are calling it temporary, but after of only 2 weeks of being there, I believe it will become permanent, and I couldn't be happier. Everyone has been so welcoming and caring, and I would love for this to be her new forever home!

We are so blessed with how the Blake has been treating our father. They take him on multiple day trips. And not for just a hour or two, sometimes he is out all day. I couldn't be happier with our choice of The Blake for my Mom. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained and the apartments are so spacious. The staff is very caring and friendly and very quickly felt like family. We have shared a meal with Mom several times and the food was delicious every time. My father has been a resident of The Blake since February of this year. He lived in the assisted living side up until 2 weeks ago when he was moved over to Memory Care. This journey has been so difficult for our family however the staff at The Blake has guided us & supported us in the best way possible. Management will make you think they care but [name removed] does not. Meals are frequently overcooked. Some staff cares the majority do not. Meds go missing or not given. Activities are only for specific residents. Cleanliness is not a priority. Laundry stacks up. Residents escape. Memory care residents are left unattended and are always left to sit in front of a tv all day. Assisted living residents are often treated badly when asking for help. Don’t push your call button it will be over looked as well. Over priced and very lacking on quality caring staff.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
