My dad has been here since May 2024. It was such a hard decision for us to make, but he definitely needed to be placed in memory care. We are so blessed with how the Blake has been treating our father. They take him on multiple day trips. And not for just a hour or two, sometimes he is out all day. The staff is so caring and understanding with dementia residents. Thank you Blake for all the hard work and love you give my dad.

I couldn't be happier with our choice of The Blake for my Mom. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained and the apartments are so spacious. The staff is very caring and friendly and very quickly felt like family. We have shared a meal with Mom several times and the food was delicious every time. Moving to assisted living is daunting, but I knew immediately that we had found the right place.

I give The Blake five stars because of the excellent job they did taking care of my older brother. Anytime I needed help with anything, they were always there to attend to any need. The food was good and laundry got done on schedule. I like how there is always a receptionist at the front door who can see who is coming in and out of the front door. The receptionist also handles communicating to the staff should I call requesting anything. Activities are awesome as well. The staff really interacts with the residents and they really do care. Mary Bethaney was simply amazing. She will even go to the store for her residents. Her warmth of character shines.

Management will make you think they care but [name removed] does not. Meals are frequently overcooked. Some staff cares the majority do not. Meds go missing or not given. Activities are only for specific residents. Cleanliness is not a priority. Laundry stacks up. Residents escape. Memory care residents are left unattended and are always left to sit in front of a tv all day. Assisted living residents are often treated badly when asking for help. Don’t push your call button it will be over looked as well. Over priced and very lacking on quality caring staff.

The activities are impressive! Sierra is phenomenal with the residents! Everyone feels included from the cooking classes, to the singing group , to the arts and crafts and so much more! The activities department puts in a lot of effort to make things fun, engaging, and enjoyable for all. I give them two thumbs up!

The staff here is incredible. Everyone from management, front desk, kitchen, and nurses are extremely friendly and helpful. They all go out of their way to make sure the residents are taken care of and happy. I always see the residents doing fun and engaging activities with the staff. Ive been in quite a few senior living developments and the atmosphere here is the best. They building has a modern feel, the rooms are the biggest I've seen, and they are more than equiped to handle any level of care.

I'm currently helping my mom look for options for my grandma. So far out of all the communities I toured in Summerville / Charleston area, this one stood out the most! This facility definitely had the most caring environment and nicest staff from what I saw. It smelled so clean which really stood out to me because other facilities didn't smell as nice. While I was there, a musical performance was going on and the residents seemed to enjoy it. I feel like my grandma would love it here!

I recently toured The Blake with my best Friend who is looking for their mom. I just came for moral support, but I couldn't believe how beautiful it was inside. The sales girl (I think her name was Mary) was very friendly and welcoming. We came during lunch time and she let us sample the food, it was so good! The residents really seemed to enjoy it too! I would highly recommend this place and I believe my friend is going to choose them as well!

Could not be more pleased with our experience with everything at The Blake at Carnes Crossroads. The management team literally laid out a red carpet for my mother when she moved in! The staff is extremely attentive and adaptive. This has been especially appreciated during the Covid 19 pandemic. It is very comforting knowing my mother is in such a caring and safe environment. The environment is peaceful and relaxing even during the challenges of COVID-19.Our staff is one of the best around. We have retained our current staff for 2-3 years, some whom have been with me since the opening of the building. Their love, compassion, determination, and hard work is what keeps me going.Our residents are a part of our extended family. We love on them as we do our own loved ones. Wow! My name is Michael and I am a local business owner- Lowcountry Pressure Washing. We got a call today about an urgent need for pressure washing. The stars must have aligned for The Blake today, because as I was talking to the rep from The Blake (Sarah) I received word that my afternoon job today rescheduled. Just so happens we were less than 20 minutes from The Blake. We came by, we measured, we cleaned, and we were impressed! The Blake is a retirement home that makes retirement seem easy. The staff had constant contact with all the individuals living there at all times. It was nice, personal banter that made me feel at ease. Getting old isnt easy, but The Blake made it seem a little easier!

I highly recommend The Blake at Carnes Crossroads – August 2018This is an magnificent place! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by staff is such a welcoming approach. I love the ambiance, that they provide the moment you arrive. The suites are amazing, cozy, and clean. Each area of the suite has its own special touch. It is located in a peaceful community and I met some really awesome residents who seem to be very comfortable and grateful to live at The Blake. Im very particular, but immediately my mind was at ease. Try them out, you wont be disappointed!! Most importantly, staff is professional and very caring!!
