He showed us a large apartment and shared the beautiful renovations that they are doing. I am excited to be one of the first to reserve the new apartments for my Mom. My mom was recently here at crystal creek. Before admission we called asking their visiting hours because we wanted to make sure we could go see my mom all day everyday. They told us visiting was from 9-9 (not only to my sister but to my dad as well, by 2 different people). The day she was admitted my dad was not allowed to see her because he "did not schedule an appointment" even though he spoke to the coordinator who said he would be able to see her. The visitation was always a problem, my dad was not able to see her multiple times, even though we went everyday. Or my sisters and myself would be told we couldn't get in but eventually would be let in. Once we were even told that visiting her made her tired and she wouldn't do her therapy, which was not the case. They would over medicate her and it made her sleepy to the point she couldn't wake up for therapy. While on the 3rd floor My mom had to report a nurse because her colostomy bag busted and her feces was everywhere and the nurse told her he was too busy so he couldn't help her and left her that way for THREE hours. My mom is immobile and she cannot clean or do much for herself. The worse part is that she has a wound right under the colostomy bag that could get infected if feces got in there. I would bathe my mom myself because the time I saw them bathe her all the lady did was wet a towel and wipe her, no soap or anything and she didn't even dry her she left her wet and put a new gown. I'm not sure about everyone else but a bath requires soap and water not just water. So I decided I would start bathing her properly. I also got into with that same aide because my mom said she didn't want to help feed her (like I said my mom is immobile) and she tried to rush her while she finally did "feed her" even though my mom still has trouble swallowing. When she finally got moved up to the 4th floor, she was there one week and not once did they bathe her the whole time she was there (even though I did) nor did they ask if she wanted to have a bath. The nurses and aides were nice up there. The only reason I gave 2 stars is really for the therapist she had (I would personally give them 5 stars alone), Miss Debbie and Katie. She loved them and they were so nice and patient with her. Miss Debbie especially always tried her best to help my mom and Katie did too. One of her aides Ashley was really nice too my mom really talked well of her, and one other nurse on the 3rd floor but I am not sure of her name (African lady with glasses and short hair). The coordinators at this place really weren't great and they only became "nice" when my mom was about to get out. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I tried transferring my mom somewhere else but eventually she came home. The therapy (depending if you get Debbie and Katie) is great I feel like it helped my mom a lot. Other than that would not recommend.

My father came to Crystal Creek for short term rehab after a terrible fall in his home. The nursing staff took great care of my father and the rehab team went above and beyond to encourage my father to participate. He ended up moving into the assisted living at Crystal Creek and we are equally as happy. The staff made the move easy and Dad felt right at home. He has a spacious apartment and even met a few friends that watch football with him. Thank you Crystal Creek.

My grandmother lived in one of the most expensive communities that Dallas has to offer and we recently moved her to Crystal Creek to the Assisted Living due to lack of service at the prior community. Best decision we ever made! My grandmother is happy, loves the activities and friends shes made and she said the food is great. Communication with nurses and caregivers has been great also. She loves her beautiful apartment that overlooks the wooded courtyard and she and her new neighbor love having coffee on the patio in the morning. She loves all the caregivers and nurses and tells us how kind they are to her. WORD TO THE WISE: Beware of the senior communities that are ridiculously expensive with sales people that promise the world. You will end up paying for their marble floors, fountains, and marketing campaigns and not the care and attention to your loved one as they tell you. Crystal Creek has been a blessing to my grandmother and our family. If you are looking for true peace of mind that your loved one is at the very best community, choose Crystal Creek. Wish we would have sooner!

My husband has been there 3 times this year alone for rehab on his knee after many many surgeries rehab department went out of there way to help him ...and all the staff is nice ...kind ...and so helpful to my husband and myself to make the stay even easier since we live in Arkansas so far away ...would like to give thumbs up to Alan over the kitchen our food is good and they give you plenty if not ask for more ...and the techs which our adrian alma Wilma Michael Marilyn too many to name that has went way upon exception to help my husband in anyway he needs help ....plus the nurses Ann Dennis victor Dennis Diana ariane jeneba and on and on went way beyond to help my husband stay here more comfortable helping with his medicine and different needs ...and Jennifer and Happy our good at there job and Anita is the most kindness social worker I have ever seen just a joy to be around...... ...and Lisa and sherry and dede and Samantha and another lady not forsure her name helps with anyone coming in crystal creek so kind and thanks for Wanda helping me in the office ...plus all the bosses in different departments is a plus for crystal creek and Carla and Becky with activities helping making our stay better away from home ...Anthony bus driver helping take us to my husband appointment so handy and gets you there and picks you up ....and Charles and the maintance crew helps in anyway you need something fixed our brought to your room and Cathy and the other cleaning people top notch keeping the building so clean and smells fresh ....and a big shout out to David and the whole crew that works in the therapy department ....outstanding job ....give them thumbs up ...plus ja in the kitchen and the other girls that make my husbands plate to serve to him in his room ....and especially Kelly doing all the paper work on the 3 floor and letting us know any changes on our stay here great great at her job...super notch therapy and nurses and techs at Crystal creek ...and salina that puts the gloves and other supplies that is needed in the rooms and orders supplies for the whole building she is great at her job ....if we have to be away from our home in Arkansas this is the best place I would want my husband to be to get the best therapy and top notch nurses to better him to go home ...even after he gets well we plan to visit Crystal creek in the near future to see all of our precious and dear friends at crystal creek were they have treated me and my husband like family ....So thankful places like do really make it easier for is to be so far away from home...thumbs up on a scale of 1 to 10 give them a 10 ...The Schooley family from Arkansas

My husband has received absolutely wonderful care for close to three years at Crystal Creek! We started in Rehab, moved to Assisted Living and currently are in Skilled Nursing. All the areas of care are exceptional! My mother has received excellent care from the aides for 5 years. She has daily medical needs and lives in assisted living with extra care. This is a great place for someone who wants to live in assisted living with extra aides instead of moving to nursing care. Her apartment has plantation shutters and light plank flooring on the 2nd floor and looks out on giant pine trees in the back. So her view is great. Activities are well thought out to various museums, plays, movies, etc and the residents have input as to where they would like to go. The maintenance department also takes good care of any problem quickly. Her daily aides provided by Crystal Creek are all diligent and sweet.

After back surgery I came to Crystal Creek to use their rehabilitation facility and I can honestly say the occupational therapists and the physical therapists did a wonderful job with me. I came in with a lot of pain but David, Debbie and Akash worked with me daily. They encouraged me and then honest with me about doing all exercises. As I watched all the therapists I noticed that they really cared for their patients encouraging them to work hard. A year ago when I was here, I didnt get the therapy I really needed. I left here very disappointed and still having the same issues. This time Im here things are somewhat better. They actually feed u like a person and not like a kid. However yesterday one of the ladies named Silvia was so very rude to me it made my blood pressure very high and upset me dearly. I just had a stroke and the last thing I need 2 b is upset, regardless to the day shes having. It doesnt give her the right to talk to me any kind of way when all I was trying to get my food that I ordered right. She told me bfore she left she was gonna fix my plates the way she wanted to. Then today she brought me ice cream with pecans in it when I specified sherbet ice cream, she never let me know that they was out of sherbet and give me the option to make another choice. I cant eat anything with pecan cause I have no teeth. She said to me what u want me to do about it man, that was her exact words, then she walked out saying she was gonna put everything on one plate. I havent had any problems with anyone in the kitchen til now. Other than that I think Crystal Creek at Preston Hollow is doing a good job. I just hope they dont release me unti they are absolutely sure Im well enough to leave. Like they did last time I was here. Now the only concern I have now is will I b released bfore Im ready to b released. I feel like Medicaid and Medicare should cover u no matter how long it takes to get well. U cant recover from a stroke I a few days or weeks.
