As a geriatric primary care office in Southlake , we got positive feedback from our patients residing in this community
June 2026
I have been living at Harbor Chase Assisted Living in Southlake since May of 2025 following a serious illness and hospital stay. My daughter and son-in law who lived in the area picked Harbor Chase after visiting at least 6 other places. If you come for a visit, you will find Harbor Chase inviting. The excellent therapy I received here made me stronger. The caregivers have been attentive to my needs. Diana in housekeeping, has kept my apartment clean. The Life Enrichment Director, Sarai has provided meaningful activities to socialize and has also given me the opportunity to lead residents in craft projects. The Executive Chef, Bradley is available for any suggestions related to dining preferences. There are many food options to choose from and the meals are delicious. The community holds regular town hall meetings to get input from residents. The Executive Director Byron, has been accessible to me. I am very comfortable and content at Harbor Chase when initially I had reservations about coming to an assisted living community. The staff here at Harbor Chase has been great and I am pleased to consider many staff and residents my friends. Fairly soon, I will need to say goodbye to all my friends as my family and I are relocating to Florida. I hope that the experiences that I have there are as positive as what Harbor Chase has provided me in the last year. I would highly recommend Harbor Chase to anyone who needs an assisted living community!

Working with Elizabeth at HarborChase of Southlake has been such a wonderful experience. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about the residents and families she serves. She goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable, informed, and supported during what can often be an emotional transition. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine compassion are evident in every interaction. HarborChase itself is absolutely beautiful and truly one of the top senior living communities available in Southlake. The attention to detail, level of care, and overall environment are exceptional. HarborChase is fortunate to have someone like Elizabeth on their team, and I would absolutely recommend working with her.

My mother has been at harbor chase since September and we are very pleased with the facility or should I say her new home! She has the perfect room for her with a patio to see her flowers and watch the birds and a special visits from deer, ducks and rabbits. I am so thrilled to have a place like this for her. The staff is wonderful and very helpful! I can text them or contact them with anything I need help with and they are always willing to assist. We are so thankful for the peace of mind we have knowing she is well cared for!

Harbor Chase of Southlake has a bed bug infestation cycling the building. If you get them the staff will shun you and won't come see about you because they don't want to get bed bugs. The food is so bad the staff don't eat there even though it is free for them. I bought all my food. The Ombudsmen was completely in favor of the bed infestation side. I left and my new home is so much cheaper and so much better and the food is great. You don't always get what you pay for.

I want to express my deep appreciation to all of the compassionate and caring team at Harbor Chase. They were amazing from the start and throughout the time my mother needed 24/7 specialized nursing care. Elizabeth made the initial process warm and efficient allowing us to focus on my mother’s needs. Wendy and her nursing staff who were incredible and I truly can’t say enough thank you’s for the tender care they provided during her last days. Thank you to all the staff once again and for those families who might be considering Harbor Chase for your loved ones, don’t give it a second thought, they are first class all the way!
November 2024
I absolutely love the staff and everything about Harbor Chase Southlake. I even made several friends with other residents there. My mom passed last week and I also appreciate everything the staff did to take care of my mom on her last days on earth. I cannot thank them enough.
March 2024
I’m exceedingly pleased that my hardworking mother has been able to retire to the luxury of HarborChase! In addition to the first class meals (that I can attest to because I routinely dine with her), she receives prime treatment in the memory care unit, The Cove. The Cove Director, Marie, has worked with me personally, nearly daily at times, to resolve issues that would have otherwise led me to a different facility. Finally, Kathy, Cassandra, Sam, and Sandra provide excellent mental stimulation and physical health support for my mother, to my great comfort and joy! (enjoying a Strawberry smoothie in the Bistro whipped up by the ever-friendly L.J.!)

HarborChase took wonderful care of my grandmother. They helped simplify the whole process and made her feel at home which gave us more ease. The building grounds are beautiful and the staff shows they truly care about your loved ones. I was impressed and would definitely recommend this community.

Such a comforting place. Elizabeth made me felt right at home. It was not an easy decision , and Elizabeth guided me the entire way. Made such a huge difference!!
December 2023
My mother and I had a first rate tour of Harbor Chase. One of the highlights was a gourmet lunch, which was served by Kat, the bartender. Kat has a personality and sense of humor as big as Texas- the state she identifies with and obviously loves! Thanks Kat!
October 2023
I helped move my mother-in-law to this facility. I am grateful to the loving staff for the care they gave her and Maggie, her cat. The other residents were sweet, too.
July 2023
It is difficult to place the love of your life in a facility while you are free to go on trips, outings, and enjoy social events. HarborChase works hard every day to make you realize that you have made the right choice. The entire staff is committed to recognizing you as a special person - not just a number. They know your name, your likes and dislikes, and special interests. They know the foods you like, the games and events you favor, and the events you love to watch. They engage you in conversation constantly and always greet you whenever you are seen. They work hard to have you participate in activities outside your room and mingle with other residents. A hug, a laugh, a sympathetic tear is freely given wholeheartedly. Your social, physical, and mental health is their primary concern and they show it every day. They truly care about your happiness. I have seen the worse side of assisted living/memory care, and can honestly state that HarborChase is a shining star that is constantly improving. My husband and I are fortunate to be a part of this wonderful facility.

It is never easy to have to make the decision of having to move a loved one to assisted living. My mother has lived here for 3 months now. It was a difficult transition but the team at HarborChase has worked with her and our family to help with this. Wendi, the director of residential care has also helped with this transition. The executive director, Byron sends out weekly recordings of what is happening as well as receiving a phone message if alarms have gone off. I appreciate being informed like this. I have to recognize those that have done their best to make my mother feel special: Linda, the director of beautification, has done her best to make sure my mother’s hair is styled like she likes it, which I know has not been an easy task for her. Caregivers, Andrea and Elaine are really good about communicating with me if something is going on with my mother or watching out for her when they know I am unable to visit. Tara and Jamie have been wonderful as well. My mom LOVES LJ at the Bistro. She makes a special breakfast toast for her just about every morning and knows exactly how my mother likes her coffee. She really makes my mother feel at home. I like that the residents have the option as eating at the bistro instead of the dining room for breakfast and lunch. Having my mother eat in the dining room was more of a challenge, but Vonda makes sure my mom sits with people she knows or recognizes. The other servers I would like to recognize are Vilma, Maricen and Janelle. I can’t imagine the patience it takes to serve so many with cognitive issues. Bradley (director of hospitality) is open to suggestions and does his best to resolve dining room issues. The lounge area that they have is a welcoming gathering place for afternoon activities. Part of that has to do with Corbin. They have wine, cocktail (non-alcoholic options too) and appetizer clubs that the residents can join. It is a nice touch. It definitely takes a special person to work the front desk and so far I haven’t met one that wasn’t kind and patient with the residents. Megan is a sweetheart. Judy, Tiana, Paola and Funda are good with my mother as well. One of things lacking when my mother first moved in was activities, but since Sarai has been hired, she has been amazing. She does her best to engage the residents. Jade is good about knocking on my mom’s door to invite her to activities as well. These are small things, but make a big difference in getting one acclimated to a new living situation. While Harbor Chase by no means if perfect, I think you would be hard pressed to find any that is. For me, knowing the workers look out for my mother, try and engage her in activities as well as communicate with her primary care doctor and home health is huge.

April 2023
The staff at Harbor Chase truly care about the residents. They go above and beyond to ensure that my mom is safe and cared for. The Directors and Care Partners are responsive and helpful. The dining room staff are amazing. The Director of Health, Wendi, is always accessible and gets things done. Nurses Andrea and Elaine reach out to keep me informed. Linda, the Director of Beauty, is a sweetheart. On the business side, Karen is proactive and very helpful. Special kudos to Anna Bukovich for taking time away from her regular sales work to sit with my mom for a while when she needed a friend.

As a senior living advisor I work with many families and communities. Harbor Chase is home to some of my clients that are happy living under their care. Huge kudos to your staff and leadership! Thank you for all that you do.
January 2023
My Father has been at HarborChase Southlake for about 10 months. We have been very pleased with the level of service and knowing Dad is living in a nice safe environment. The first month transition period moving away from his house into assisted living was rough on my Father but Wendi the Director of Resident Care and her team helped ease my Father to adjusting. Now Dad loves living at HC and does not want to return back home. All Dad's needs are met with caring associates-partners, good food and planned activities. The whole leadership team knows the residents by name. Elizabeth the Sales Director was right ...looking back now why did we wait so long to make the move.
January 2023
My review is based solely on a director who is outstanding and a care partner that always takes good care of my Mom. Linda the Director goes above and beyond her job description to make sure my mom has the best environment to thrive and be happy. Victoria, a care partner, shows my mom true compassion in meeting her every need.
January 2023
Harbor Chase is a wonderful partner with us at Caring Transitions, and I have had the joy of working with them for years. We are a Senior Relocation company, and have moved many clients into this community. Harbor Chase is always wonderful and accommodating to work with.
January 2023
This facility is most attractive. I was given a tour and was quite impressed. I also arranged for 8 members of our family to take advantage of the chef's excellent multi-course meal available to the public on certain days served in a private room. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening.
January 2023
Harbor Chase is wonderful! The building itself is very lovely inside and out! Common areas are bright, open and spacious. My mom’s apartment is comfortable and tidy, and she says it feels like home! But the true beauty of this community is the staff. Every employee or manager I’ve encountered is caring, attentive, approachable, friendly and professional. They cannot do enough, it seems, for my mom, and all the residents. Everyone knows my mom’s name as well as my name! The lobby concierge service staff makes visiting easy and enjoyable. Chef Bradley, waitress Vonda and other dining/kitchen staff and servers work hard at mealtimes to take care of everyone. The staff care givers are clearly interested in the residents, and obviously happy in their jobs. The entertainment team is involved and active in ensuring residents have a wide choice of engaging things to do on a daily basis. The on-site hair salon is a big plus, and my mom loves Linda, the attentive manager/stylist. Lastly, Nurse Wendi has been instrumental in going the extra mile for my mom’s medical needs. Her outgoing personality, and experienced approach are truly appreciated. Thank you Harbor Chase! We’re grateful.
January 2023
My father has been at HarborChase Southlake for a year. His experience has been outstanding. The leadership team and staff are all very caring. Wendi-Director of Resident Care is always accessible and puts the resident first. Byron-Executive Director recently changed and laundered my father’s bedding when the staff was unable to. Overall my father is very happy at HarborChase Southlake.
January 2023
My mother has been a resident of HC in The Sound, where they advertise additional support is given, for about 20 months. From the word GO, we have have had issue after issue with just about every department, except the salon and life enrichment. Our experience is that they are a big corporation that is driven by the bottom line, and resident care is secondary. The building is cheaply built, but looks good. The food initially was very good, went through a period of really bad bad food and now there does seem to be some improvement. The care my mother has received has been marginal. Several times her meds were not ordered in a timely manner, and she ran out. My mothers bed was frequently not made, we went well over a month without her apartment being cleaned on two separate occasions and when she was quarantined due to Covid I walked in to find uneaten food piled up on her counter that had been there for days, trash cans overflowing and two large trash bags of contaminated waste sitting outside her door for days. It took 10 months to fix the thermostat in her room, their way of fixing the thermostat was to open the window in her room when it was 100 degree out. She wears hearing aides, yet she went months without wearing them and none of the "care partners" thought to remind her to put them in. She lost her glasses and once again, the 'Care partners" did not help her find them or couldn't find them, yet when we walked in we saw them 2 inches from her chair that she is always sitting in. Melissa, the activities director, is a GEM! She is wonderful and was wonderful about communicating with me about my mother and plans wonderful activities to keep residents engaged. Linda, the "beautification specialist" was wonderful as well. She loves the residents and I spoke to her frequently about my mother and her well being. Got NO communication from the "care partners" in regards to my mother and her health other than to tell me she had covid, and ask if we were moving her. Only communicated with me if I prompted the conversation. Hard to justify a 13 percent rate increase when the advertised services were not being met to begin with. HarborChase is very much like an independent living facility, if your loved one needs any support other than med management, keep looking. Byron, the new executive director was very receptive to my concerns, but it was a little too late.

Mom loves living at Harbor Chase. We no longer worry about her home alone. I can't say enough about the love and care she is receiving.

Harbor Chase provides excellent care to both my relative in the Cove Memory Care and my friend in The Sound neighborhood. Strong and effective leadership by the Executive Director and departmental directors seem to keep everything running smoothly. The staff is caring and professional. The Chef and Dining Staff are able to accommodate my friend's specific dietary preferences. The activities and outings are many and varied. The very attractive and comfortable decor, including the abundant natural light, is the first thing you notice but over time we have come to appreciate the caring and hard working staff. Keep up the good work!

I moved my dad into HarborChase about 10 weeks ago. I had to move him in a month before we moved to town from out of state. I hadn't visited, but after doing a live video tour and talking to Sara over the phone a couple of times, I felt like I could trust that he would be in good hands. I flew him there, and though we were running a couple of hours late, Sara waited until we arrived, helped us to get situated, and even made sure we had dinner to eat, even though the kitchen was already closed. She may be the Sales Director, but she remained involved after his move-in and still helps with any questions or to assist as a liaison with things. She has been wonderful! My dad has settled in well and enjoys his room, the great food, and all the activities and entertainment they have during the week. HarborChase in Southlake is the nicest assisted living facility I have ever seen, but the best part to me is the fantastic staff. They are all friendly, caring, and dedicated to making all the residents happy. It is a really great team. Thank you for making the process easy and for making a wonderful home for my dad!
