I am a four month resident and I am so happy to have made the decision to move to Discovery Village. The wonderful staff had made me feel very at home and welcome and meet my every need. The food they serve is very appetizing and I try not to miss a meal. In fact I could miss a few meals since I’ve gained 20 pounds since I moved here. Everyone here, including the residents are very welcoming And helpful. The apartments are very spacious and modern and if there’s any maintenance problems, they’re there immediately you can even have your hair and nails done right here in the discovery Village salon So many different activities we have Samba. We have beanbag baseball. We have arts and crafts. We have happy hour with lots of goodies. I highly recommend Discovery Village at alliance town Center If you have anyone in need of senior independent Living, this is the place to go

5 starts is not enough. Everyone was friendly, informative, professional and peaceful. They treated us with white gloves. I pray my friend gets in. What would stand in her way is her faith. The chief showed us around and She was amazing. The receptionist, was so professional and helpful. At one point the person showing us around when to get keys and the event person took over. The person going over the paperwork was also outstanding. Friendly, peaceful, security, clean.

My grandmother stayed here for 6 months, and we had constant problems. General issues with staff, poor communication throughout the facility, and A/C issues during the summer that were not set as priority. This is an expensive facility that doesn't seem to deliver on the services that are paid for. If you are looking for top notch care for your loved ones, I would look elsewhere.

My wife and I moved her parents here (independent living) in 2018. We are about to move them over to assisted living. They have enjoyed their time here. The facilities and staff are excellent. There are a number of options when it comes to meals and activities. Residents can become very involved or do their own thing. It's truly independent. During their 5+ years here, there have been a number of times where we needed the staff's help and advice. They have always been there for us. As we now transition them to assisted living, we have no concerns over the level of care they will receive. The move is very seamless and there are financial benefits in staying within the Discovery family. We can definitely recommend Discovery Village and, in fact, will have two close family friends moving in shortly based, in part, on our experience.

I have been living here with my wife since October 2019 and cannot say enough goos things about the facilities and staff. Facilities are well decorated with art and other items. Facilities are always clean and well taken care of. Any problems with individual apartments are taken care of usually the same day they are reported by the very knowlegable maintenance crew. The entire staff treats residents as family and goes out of their way to help wherever they can. There are multiple programs and activities for residents to take part in which include but are not limited to games, arts and crafts,music, field trips etc. Dining facilities are very attractive and the food is excellent with a good variety of food choices. The dining staff is excellent and extremely helpful. A;ll in all this is in my opinion the best possible facility for Seniors and I would recommend it to anybody considering a Senior facility.

Everything but the food has been wonderful. It seems clear there are not enough resources being allocated for food. The general sentiment of residents, including my parents, is they are quite unhappy with the food quality. I suggest if you go for a tour that you go to the dining room and hear what the residents have to say at mealtime.

We are very pleased & satisfied with Discovery Village at the Alliance where my mom has been a resident since March 2023. Mom is feeling very much at home since then. The staff has been very professional, personable & caring towards mom and her family. Mom has also made great friends there & enjoys being engaged in social activities at the facility. This review is specifically aimed towards the Assisted Living / Memory Care building located at 9901 N Riverside Drive Let me start off by saying I have never seen an assisted living facility this nice, anywhere. Upon walking in you're greeted by pleasant aromatics and beautiful decor laid out in a very open environment. You wouldn't even think it was a senior living community in the slightest! Their kitchen offers a very nice array of high-quality meals that do not disappoint, also. The staff always have smiles on their faces and are more than happy to help you with any and all of your needs. Discovery Village at Alliance Assisted Living / Memory Care has a very tight knit staff that are attentive, caring, and do their duties with the utmost politeness and respect. From upper management all the way down to the dishwasher, they're all friendly and respectful. There really isn't a better staff to care for your loved one. All in all, I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of senior care in a heartbeat and with no doubt in my mind.

Assisted Living facilities are clean and uncluttered especially in the common areas. Responses to calls from my mother for services are generally timely. A large majority of the staff are kind and caring. The executive director is especially knowledgeable and has great rapport with my mom. My Dad has been at Discovery Shine Memory Care at Alliance Town Center for 8 months. Kim Ballard is an AWESOME director, and the staff is wonderful! My family has nothing but praise for all the caregivers. They have a special heart for providing care and lots of attention to the residents who live there. My Dad loves all the attention that he gets, and getting doted on. A variety of fun activities are provided for social interaction and exercise. The food is really good and nutritious. My family is so glad that we chose Discovery Shine at Alliance Town Center for our Dad!

I went on line to set up an appointment on Saturday for a visit on a Sunday. Didn't get a call until Monday. Set up another appointment for Saturday at 12n sat there for 45mins and finally left since I had another appointment at 130. No one every called me to apologize until I texted that if they did this to me it was an awful first impression and if they treated a guest looking into it like that, would they treat my parents like that. His flippant answer was that yes he could have done thing s different but gotta move forward. Nope

I have resided here at Discovery Village at Alliance Town center for 3 years. This was the exact place for my husband and I to live. Unfortunately my husband passed away 1 year after we moved in, but again, this was the exact place I needed to be. The staff and residents took me under their wing at that time and I felt so loved. Discovery Village at Alliance is run by the most efficient staff ever. The Exe. director, Pam, is top notch. They go above and beyond to make us all feel safe and comfort. My mom lives here and it's wonderful for her. She is 90 years old and is more socially engaged than you can imagine. SHe takes classes like watercolor painting and water aerobics and plays games with her mates. She loves the food and as such hardly cooks for herself any longer! My 90 yr old, very active mother-in-law has resided here for a few years now in independent living. She is happy, primarily because of all the activities offered & activities she initiates with friends there. There are outings (she loves sports & attended a baseball game), she's attended water aerobics, painting class, drumming (aerobic) class, a nurse checks on her routinely, she has availed herself of on-site physical therapy for her knees & pain from scoliosis. She had a vegetable garden plot one yr. She enjoys 1 of the available meal plans and company of others. She is happy, content, and stimulated. We are happy for her. Thx Discovery Village.

Where do I start? We had looked at several properties for my aging mother and found some which checked 60-70% of the boxes we were looking for. Having been disappointed with the previous property at which she lived, we were very skeptical of being "sold" a pretty package of empty promises. I visited Discovery Village Alliance (independent living) and was very pleasantly surprised. Still skeptical, I visited again with my sister, who is even more wary than I. After that tour, we couldn't find a reason NOT to move mom here. This is the only property we've seen that checked all our boxes and then some! Good prices, beautiful structure and grounds, an indoor heated pool, LOTS of activities, and meals are definitely several cuts above any other place we've seen. Apartments are spacious and well appointed with 9' ceilings. Their service offerings are a la carte; you choose what you want and there is no minimum. However, even with rent only, occupants have full use of the facilities. There is scheduled transportation, nights out for dinner and day trips. And by the way, everything you could possibly need like groceries, entertainment, restaurants, shopping and medical facilities are all within 2 miles of the place! There are a LOT of choices. Mom was here for a little over 6 months; we had to move her due to declining health/memory issues and it was VERY hard to leave. The staff has been so kind and helpful all the way around. And by the way, that is the culture of the place. It didn't happen by accident. And this is probably the most notable benefit of calling Discovery Village Alliance home - they are there to serve you. Heartening to know there are still people out there who run great properties!

I absolutely love living at Discovery Village at Alliance Town Center. The staff welcomed us warmly and the residents treat us like family. My favorite amenities are the Physical Therapy department, the fitness classes, water aerobics, and the choir. The church that meets here has quickly become our church family. And the breakfast that they serve is to die for! Well, not really. We're trying to avoid that. But it is excellent. And I am better physically and mentally since we came. That's the best part.

My wife and I were looking for a 55 and over, independent living community for us. Tired of mowing, cleaning, taxes bills, etc, we looked. We visited seven very nice locations near by, however, all seemed to be very restricted in their living plans.We almost did not come here to look because we were tired, but we came anyway. We are glad we did. The staff was courteous and very friendly. They explained that here, there are quite a few options. Not only apartment and room size, but things like house keeping on several levels, or not; although breakfast is free, there are a variety of plans for lunch meals, or not; there are garages for lease, carports for lease or open parking spots. They have storage for lease if you need it. Wide hallways are deeply carpeted adding to a quiet atmosphere. The apartments have great access because of the large doorways. I expected bland food. I was surprised. The food is pretty tasty. They have a nice game room with ping pong, darts, card tabled and a pool table.There is a pool, a gym, a crafts activity room and movie lounge. There is enough to keep you busy, regardless of your interest. They have a travel bus for shopping. The real assets are the residents and the staff. Everyone is very friendly, and very well mannered. The staff is very attentive and helpful, regardless of what you need. Everyone here likes it and we do too. I dont write long reviews, however, this place deserves it. If you choose it, you will not be disappointed!

But with the amazing staff Kim the leasing agent and Pam the director of the facility....I cant tell you the ease they put on my move. Since my move in (June 2019) I have been completely satisfied with the level of service and care the staff provides. From the front office to the maintenance personnel everyone is friendly and accommodating. I have also used the on-site home health on a couple of occasions, and they too have provided timely and professional care. The facility itself is clean, modern, well appointed and welcoming. The residents here are friendly and there are lots of choices for socializing, whether here or trips to restaurants, and other outings. I would highly recommend Discovery at Alliance.
