From the moment you walk in, you can feel the compassion and dedication of the staff. The team goes above and beyond to create a loving, safe, and engaging environment for every resident. They treat each person like family, taking the time to get to know their stories, preferences, and personalities. The activities are creative, meaningful, and perfectly tailored for memory care residents — from coffee carts and crafts to spiritual services and special holiday celebrations. The community is always full of warmth and laughter. You can tell that the residents are not just cared for, but genuinely loved. The leadership is attentive and involved, and communication with families is excellent. After the difficult decision to look into assisted living for my father-in-law, we went through the low of a poorly run facility that lacked empathy. While looking for a better environment with compassionate, well-versed staff, we found Oakwood Terrace. From the moment Edward Metzger came to meet my father-in-law in the hospital for emergency placement, I knew that Oakwood would be the answer we were so desperately looking for. After he was settled in, I had the opportunity to meet the caring, diligent staff. They continue to go above and beyond for the well-being and comfort of the residents. The staff ensures the environment is cleanly, safe, and, most of all, comfortable for not only the residence, but for the families as well. One of the reasons I chose Oakwood Terrace for my husband is the fact it is a small facility that is clean, bright, cheerful with a wonderful caring, compassionate staff! Every holiday, whether big or small , is celebrated so lovely for the residents. Daily activities are so well planned and the meals are very tastefully prepared and served hot! Afternoon and evening treats are loved by the residents! Glad I made the right choice!

The staff are wonderful, caring, hard working and gentile, catering to the special needs of the Oakwood community. Highest staffing ratio in the area, with fulltime licensed (LPNs) staff, great fresh homemade meals. Activities to meet all levels of residents. A strong dedicated management team.

Ive been working here for almost two years now and have seen how much has changed for the better once our current directors came into the building. With me being a college student they have been very understanding. I have met some of the best people, both employees and residents. They value moving up and learning more, I started as a dining aide and worked my way up to a medtech.
