My mom has been living in the Memory Care neighborhood of Sunrise of Boulder for almost a year now, and I can't be happier with the care she has received! Santosh and his staff are wonderful -- so friendly, attentive, and helpful in all ways. My mom was on hospice when she moved into Sunrise, but she "graduated" off after six months, I believe in large part because of the care she has received and the community she is now part of. I am so thankful for Sunrise!

My wife Nancy received wonderful care as she dealt with Alzheimer's disease at Sunrise of Boulder. The director, leadership staff, caregivers, those who clean the rooms-- everyone was engaged and supportive. Many have been with Sunrise since it started over twenty years ago, and their values have been passed to all newcomers. Personal attention, group activities, and pleasant surroundings come together to create a sense of community and belonging as residents face difficult times.

Sunrise of Boulder is a community that when you walk in you feel right at home. The residents are very happy and it felt good to talk to them on my visit there and hear how much they love living at Sunrise. Felicia is a great example of making you feel welcome and introducing the residents to the visitors. The residents that I visited with shared how much they appreciate Felicia for always supporting them and being so nice to not only them but their families. Its nice to hear that the assisted living coordinator Felicia would bring her family members to Sunrise to age in place. The director of Sunrise of Boulder, Teresa Benavides, literally had me at "hello." When I first called, it was a bit of an emergency, as my father was being involuntarily discharged from a local rehabilitation facility because, as they informed my mother and brother, Dad would not be getting any better. He couldn't return home in his condition, and he needed someplace nearby that could take care of him for what little time he might have left. Teresa was heading home for the day when my call was transferred to her office, but she spent the next 45 minutes on the phone with me, explaining about their facility and the services they offered, presenting various options for my father's living conditions, and overall just talking me down from a state of panic to a place of hope and confidence. My father didn't live long enough to make it to Sunrise, but just weeks after his passing, my mother moved into what has been the most amazing new home any of us could have imagined. Mom was no longer able to live completely on her own, but she is still "all there" and quite capable of doing most things for herself. And what she can't do, the Sunrise staff happily does for her. It's so wonderful! I never knew that places this amazing even existed for the elderly! Mom is now so happy, well-taken-care-of, and living in a beautiful apartment in a clean and superbly-maintained facility. All her meals are prepared for her and delivered to her room. Staff members help her shower and dress, and if she ever needs anything, Mom need only pull one of a number of cords placed around her apartment area, and someone will be at her door to help, even for something as simple as picking up a remote if she accidentally drops it on the floor. I feel so much better knowing that my mother is never alone now that she is getting up there in years, and I know that Sunrise will be able to adapt to her changing needs as time moves forward. My mother loves it there, having made friends with all of the staff and many residents. And Teresa and Mom and total besties. I love that this is the case, and it's all thanks to Teresa taking the time to talk to me during that first call rather than having me call back the following morning. I was so distraught, so desperate, that I don't know what would have happened had it not been for Teresa's warmth, understanding, and support as we spoke that first time. We've spoken so often since then, and each time, she is just as warm and positive and wonderful. Everything happened for the best, and I am so glad it did!

I have truly felt that every staff member from Jennifer the director through Front desk staff, Nurses, Caregivers, Activities, Kitchen, Cleaning and Maintenance has played a role in helping and improving my parents health and enjoyment of living. We have an elderly relative living at Sunrise, and we are over there generally several times a week. They have a well staffed operation, with nursing, aides, maintenance people, etc. The best thing about the staff is they are caring people. There are daily activities for residents to participate in: Bingo, singing, story-telling, movie night, and more. The kitchen and dining room staff are pleasant and very accommodating to the residents, and show both respect and humility to the elderly with diminished capacities. We have had several meals there for special events: Easter, Christmas, Fourth of July. The food is quite good. Lastly, during the Pandemic, the staff went to extraordinary lengths to keep outside family connected to their resident family all the while protecting the facility.

My mother has been at Sunrise of Boulder for over a year now and she loves living there and I love that she is living there. I love the peace of mind knowing the caregivers there are available 24 hours a day if she should come to need them and how supportive and friendly everyone is. They have also been very accommodating with her special food needs. I want to specifically call out Teresa who was incredible during our initial contacts and visits through the entire sales process and getting my mother settled - especially at a time when my father was in his final days. Teresa really sold us on the facility and was true to all the benefits my mother would see. Teresa continues to look in on my mother to make sure she is doing well. And shout out to Judy at the front desk for making my mother feel so at home on a daily basis.

Teresa, the sales associate, showed us around and was super friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. You could tell she genuinely cares, and seeing how comfortable the residents were around her really proved the team there is doing something right.
