I am a resident at Sunrise of Chandler and I am so deeply grateful for their dual program of care with Aegis Hospice. Before Sunrise I had developed a serious pressure sore and had become infected and spread to bone. Medical providers advised that it could be treated but would probably never heal. After the infection and responded to antibiotics and I was no longer attached to IVs. Sunrise excepted me as a resident in patient with age is hospice. Sunrise provided my every day needs with warm personal care. I was bedbound and caregivers turned me from side to side to reduce pressure. And just provided nurses certified in one care who treated the wind several times a week for many months (almost 21). They were determined that I would heal properly. I am now completely and joyfully healed. Others who saw this wound at its worst, called it a miracle.

Moving a parent to assisted living requires a lot of decisions & transitions for both the new resident and family. Medical assessment, payments, move-in logistics were all directed with a diverse staff offering personal care! We’ve received such patience, support, & kindness. I've had the privilege of knowing this community for several years. Professionalism from every team member within this community has always been wonderful. The head RN Karen is absolutely fantastic and a down to earth person you can really relate with especially when speaking about the care of your loved one. My previous client currently lives at Sunrise in memory care and was previously living in assisted living. I visit occasionally to spend time with her and also to see the amazing staff and check in! I can’t tell you enough how wonderful this establishment is as far as safety, attentiveness as well as respect and dignity (their food is actually good too!). I’ve worked in care facilities most of my career and this is the best I’ve ever encountered, it feels like home. My personal shot out to Fidel, Logan, Kathy and Ken and of course all staff in memory care. ’’

When I walked in, the atmosphere was peaceful. The place smelled nice and everything seemed functionable. The court yard as well as the maintaince in and out of the building shows they care about their residents needs and safety.

If I could give Sunrise of Chandler 6 stars, I would! My dad fell and I needed immediate, temporary assisted living (also known as respite care) until I could move him to assisted living in my home state. I have visited people in assisted living and researched facilities near me- but none could touch Sunrise. The staff is happy, well-trained, competent and super-accommodating (especially Noel and Nurse Karen). My dad likes a good meal and the food quality and choices are superb. He is so comfortable and well cared for that I decided to have him stay where he is. One of his dinner table-mates has been at Sunrise for two years- he said he gives it a big gold star. I heartily agree! An update: six months later, I can only reinforce what I said at the start. My dad has received excellent care from compassionate people. And as the person managing his care, I can say they are all motivated to work with me and the resident to make an amazing experience. The food is a big issue for seniors, and this place provides restaurant quality food. And they seem to all be focused on the mission of being compassionate. As before, I can’t say enough good things about them. Check them out. Their rates are very reasonable, especially considering the high-quality care received!

For anyone wondering if they should trust having there loved ones placed here, rest assured that this is a great place. From the staff members and even volunteers members (which I am apart of) this community home has built a true community. Apart form the thousands of social groups and activities that are all put together by two wonderful people ( Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Debbie) these fun activities and great food make Sunrise enjoyable and feel like home. From simply going in for volunteer sessions I can see staff members interacting with the residents on a much deeper level. I have personally gotten the opportunity to get to know some of the residents and their stories, and I am not the only volunteer that knows these stories because we care, we care to listen and understand that the residents are not simply residents but individuals with stories to tell. The staff members in both cottages take time and getting to know the person they take care of. Yes our staff members are great at handing out the medicine that is needed or giving proper care but the staff member as well as volunteers dig deeper and help build this retirement home/community home to what it is now. Which is a community! I cannot stress enough from simply being a volunteer, I have felt so welcomed I might not see our residence as much as other volunteers are simply day-to-day employees, but I never once feel unwelcome. And my fellow volunteers and employees do such a great job with making sure that everyone that walked through that door whether it is a visitor, volunteer or new resident feels welcomed. I appreciate all the help make Sunrise of Chandler what it is!

My father-in-law recently spent a month in respite care at Sunrise Chandler while we were out of state on business. Kristal, Noel, and Logan immediately put us at ease. The staff is warm and welcoming and quickly took care of any of his needs. He enjoyed his stay and had nothing but praise for Sunrise and everyone he met. Sunrise Senior Living of Chandler is absolutely incredible. My mom resided there for four years before she passed. We had toured several facilities in the East Valley, but after touring Sunrise, the decision was easy. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was the right place. It just has the look and smell of home. The facility is spacious, bright, cheery, and always smells like whatever delicious food is being prepared that day. I would often visit my mom at noon so that I could join her for an amazing lunch. Perhaps the best part of Sunrise is the community-style living that allows the residents to attend and participate in a wide range of activities and classes that promote physical, mental, and social health. Residents can participate as much or as little as they choose. There certainly is no shortage of fun and engaging activities every day! The medical staff is tremendous as well - they communicate as needed with family and medical providers to ensure that appropriate care is given. I still stop by Sunrise when I'm in the area just to say hello to everyone and thank the staff for the loving care they gave my mom. Our loved one, Hedwig, was at Sunrise for almost a year in Reminiscence (memory care). While our family initially struggled with the decision to move her to a facility, preferring to keep her at home with us, we quickly realized we were not equipped to provide the 24/7 care she needed to remain safe. It’s natural, especially during such emotional times, to question whether your loved one is receiving the same level of care you would provide. However, I can confidently say that the relationships Hedwig built with the staff were genuine and profoundly evident, especially at the time of her passing. For families considering or navigating this journey, my advice is to stay engaged and involved. Show appreciation to the staff often, ask how you can support them in caring for your loved one, and take an active role”schedule meetings with management when you notice changes in your loved one’s condition and seek their guidance. I also cannot stress enough the importance of working closely with the facility’s RN. Trust their expertise, particularly when they recommend involving hospice in the care team. Engaging hospice early allowed our loved one to remain in her safe, familiar environment and ensured she was cared for with dignity and comfort. Thanks to their guidance, Hedwig was able to spend her final days surrounded by her personal belongings in a space that felt like home, cared for by a team that had become an extension of our family. While no one ever wants to face the loss of a loved one, I can wholeheartedly recommend Sunrise. Their care, compassion, and dedication made a meaningful difference during a very challenging time for our family.

My Mother has been at Sunrise for the last few months and me and my family couldn't have chosen a better group to care for her. They are attentive, caring and provide a special environment for her in a time of need. The staff is always smiling and treats my mother with the care and respect she needs. Noel is an amazing woman who always addresses our needs, concerns and shows my mom the love she needs with a caring nature. She and the Sunrise staff treat my mother like family and to us they are, we are lucky to have found them and have them in ours and our mother lives.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Sunrise of Chandler and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff members who were more than happy to assist me and answer any questions I had. One of the things that stood out to me the most was the level of care and attention given to each resident. The staff members I interacted with were genuinely compassionate and it was clear that they truly cared about the well-being of the residents. It was evident that they went above and beyond to ensure that each individual received personalized care.

Very expensive here. Staff could not care less about what they are doing to your budget. Once you run out of money you have to leave as they do not accept or keep state medical care programs. Facility looks nice and the working staff tries hard but the front office is just in it for the money.

The staff has been excellent, especially after my Mom passed and my father's cognitive acuity declined rapidly. They have been very accommodating and have shown genuine compassion and caring. I visit just about every weekend and see that residents are treated very well, overall. Is Sunrise of Chandler perfect? No. But is any place? Going into this, my family approached the Assisted Living Facility concept with the understanding that it is neither a hospital nor a hotel. If there is ever something critical that is needed, staff contacts me and makes recommendations. Communication in general is frequent concerning his care, which I greatly appreciate. Most importantly, my Dad is happy (as happy as he can be without my Mom). He recently talked about a concert that was put on there that he loved. He enjoys the food (raves about the chocolate ice cream) and certainly is enamored with the staff dogs - Hero and Nugget - who bring joy to everyone they encounter. I'm glad he's at Sunrise of Chandler and certainly feel like he's in the right place. Pam, Karen, Jackie, Kristal and quite a few others are all big contributors to my peace of mind.

Sunrise Senior Living in Chandler has been a blessing to myself as well as my parents.
