I worked there a few weeks and I was in the dinning area talking and to resident and one of the resident called me the (N) word so I sent a text to the Judy about it and I told her that I would quit but I didn't quit and yes I was upset cause I never been call that before in 15 years of me working in the field. I stayed at work that night and I still gave the resident the care he needed so I finish my shift and the n we at day my name was marketed out on the schedule and Judy as me to come to her office and she stated that I wasn't happy of course…I wasn't happen after I been called the (N)…All the resident love to see me coming in the door…I came in and done my job as a PCA.Judy is the type of person that would listen to lies before the truth…I was lied on my first week there…I was lost behind that…I ask for a termination paperwork and it nothing on it so I was wrongful for been termination…

The facility is beautiful. The food is wonderful and the day to day staff is friendly and caring. It's probably wonderful in independent living. Unfortunately if you need more than basic assisted living you should look elsewhere. My mom left Harmony in far worse shape than she was when she went in. She was on blood thinners due to a wound that wasn't properly treated and got infected. The staff told us she had a dangerously low heart rate and would not back down even after a cardiologist said it was fine. There are many more stories. Mom is at another community nearby now and is THRIVING, content, healthy, and loved. The damage Harmony contributed to cannot be undone but her children can now relax knowing she is in good hands.

My mother in law is a resdient in the secured assisted living area at Harmony of Greensboro and we could not be more satisfied. The facility is bright and cheery and the staff is fabulous. My mother in law recently developed a serious tooth abscess. The staff was on it immediately. We tried to find a dentist to come into the facility to no avail. I knew I was going to have to take her to the dentist which I knew was going to be an ordeal. Kelly Miller, the concierge, was my right hand person that day. She went above and beyond in helping me find a dentist who could see her ASAP. Kelly was the clam to my crazy. She networked with other staff members as well as outside contacts to gather names, addresses and contact information for multiple dentists; even searching for the ones who offered the most comfortable settings. And then she arranged transportation and made sure the staff in the secured assisted living area was aware of the appointment time so that they could have her ready. She made a difficult situation manageable and should be commended.

As someone who has worked in close to a dozen retirement communities/facilities I can confidently say this is the best facility I’ve had the pleasure to work in. While every community has its fair share of bumps in the road that arise, Laura and the rest of the Harmony community do their best to overcome these challenges all while providing a welcoming and comfortable environment. In short, it’s a happy building with happy management and happy residents.

My brother after being in hospitals and rehab facilities for 4 months needed more caregiving that I could give. I am 76 and my brother is 80. It was recommended to me that he needed more care and Assisted Living is what is needed for his recovery. After visiting many of the facilities in Greensboro, Harmony was the one. From the very first visit the staff made me feel welcome and caring. After 3 months of being here he has made a tremendous progress and will soon be able to return home. He is stronger and almost back to his old self. I can not tell you all how much these folks have done for me and my brother. Everyone there treats you with respect and are so friendly. They have made my brother's health there number one goal. Laura Rumley, Executive Director and Keshia DeVaughn, Healthcare Director are wonderful and they keep me updated on his progress and his needs. I highly recommend Harmony to all. My name is Robert Marino and I am truly happy that my brother is in their care. Each day I visit, just assures me I have made the right choice.
