StoryPoint in Schererville is an excellent facility where the staff are very dedicated and professional. The Activities staff are very motivated and provide the residents with a wide variety of entertainment with their "Thirsty Thursday" event every month being very popular with staff, residents and family members (and the Entertainers love it as well). The company is inclusive, run very efficiently and an excellent community for your loved ones.

The staff continually goes above and beyond to make sure each individual residents needs are met. There are numerous activities and outings that the exceptional Life Enrichment Team provide to keep everyone entertained and active. The heartfelt connections between our staff and our residents are truly like no other! I am proud to be apart of this amazing team and to have the opportunity to work with our fabulous residents!!

We went for a visit only. The lobby was beautiful, decorated for the holidays with two areas to sit and socialize by the entrance. Each with a fireplace going. When we got there, the dining room was open and looked inviting. We did eat in one of their gathering rooms. The food was delicious and the staff very nice. Our friend who lives there loves it.

I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of our experience at Clarendale. From the site visit, where you find Clarendale to be very clean, modern, and inviting, through the move in. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Including current residents. Stephanie Peterson went above and beyond thought the whole process as did the maintenance staff and so many others. I have returned on a number of occasions and find it is consistent with what I experienced from day one. One very important aspect is communication. If you have a need or concern/problem if you communicate it , it will be addressed.

My father in law Ken spent the last 6 months of his life in memory care. In that short time, he was well cared for by the staff. His favorites ( and people we now consider family) Dan, Nikita, Angie & Ebube were absolutely AMAZING! They took such gentle care of him and made him smile every day, even on the hard days. We are so thankful he got to spend his final days surrounded by love. Stephanie and Dawn have also been amazing and always helpful! Elsa is a pure pleasure to interact with whenever we came in to visit ...She will also hold a special place in our hearts...

My parents have been at Clarendale since 2018 and they love the facility and their apartment. The staff is very friendly and genuinely are interested in their residents. Elder care in the U.S. still has a long way to go before it is even close to perfect, but Clarendale does well by their residents. There are a few improvements I would like to see, the first being they (and most other retirement communities I have looked at) need to have a support system on campus for residents in independent living that need "occasional" care. These residents are not ready for Assisted Living, but struggle with certain things as their memory begins to fail them or they need "neighborly" help with household things - there is an opportunity for improvement here. The second concern is the cost. Independent living is a VERY expensive apartment and I believe that the corporations that run this facility and others like it are profit driven at the expense of the residents AND the expense of their staff. It is very expensive for those on a fixed income and I can assure you they are not paying the staff well enough - but this is a systemic problem, it is not just Clarendale - but it is alive and well at Clarendale. In my opinion, this facility is one of the nicest in NW Indiana and it is a must see if you are shopping for a retirement community.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Clarendale. It was clean and inviting with plenty of places for residents to hang out and visit. There was a fitness center and inhouse salon. Thank you to Stephanie for the tour, walk thru of the different layouts and answering all my questions. She was very knowledgeable about the facility. Very importantly it was evident she was invested in the residents . Game changer!!

Ive enjoyed many of the community activities at Clarendale. I have attended many of the worldly themed luncheons, bingo, and informative seminars. Even during the covid-19 pandemic they have reached out to those of us in the community with seminars and drive up brunches. They certainly have found a place in my heart.

Dawn , our welcome team & Brooke all went above & beyond to ensure our comfort and full familiarity with this extraordinary facility when the hospital suddenly discharged our father from Methodist without a plan to care for the myriad of issues. There is no comparison to the care team or premises @ Clarendon.

New feature added for those individuals in Independent Living. Mom needs to have her blood pressure taken twice a week and Clarendale is now able to assist her with that along with providing her a form to record readings. This really help to provide valid information for her doctor for her next checkup. Thanks Clarendale of Schererville!!!!

As a member of the therapy team, I have worked closely with the staff at Clarendale for over a year now. Residents are treated with love, kindness and respect. I have never worked in a facility that was so friendly. From Independent living, assisted or memory care there is always something fun planned with the activity department. The life enrichment staff go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels included. It is beyond a 5 star community.

Clarendale is truly an exquisite community in Schererville. It stands our from the rest with its beautiful curb side appeal as well as the warm welcome you receive when entering. The residents are always occupied with a vast amount of activities to keep them occupied both physically and mentally. It is very difficult for the resident themselves as well as their family to transition a loved one into this type of environment but Clarendale does it with perfection where both residents and family have a peace of mind

This community has a great activities calendar! Full of oppurtunities to live a fulfilling life! This is the perfect place to retire and enjoy great meals without having to cook them on your own! The AL nursing staff is great and friendly!
