Not sure where to start… I am very impressed with what I saw and experienced at this place which is now my dear aunt's home. What stood out the most and made the biggest impression- Whenever we encountered or interacted with a staff member, I saw how each of them greeted my aunt by name with a genuine, caring, and often nurturing nature. I saw how much that meant to her, and it meant the world to me. My aunt is the kindest person I know. She deserves kindness in return, and that is what she is getting here. What stood out to me right away was how clean, bright and welcoming this place is. Loved the cheerful and modern decor, the landscaping/patios/flowers…. Then there is the 5th floor deck… Wow! In addition to all of that, I had a meal in the dining room the first night I arrived in town (for my three day visit.). The food was very good, the people working there were friendly, patient, and attentive, and the atmosphere was delightful. I am happy that my aunt is here for her new home. She made so many comments throughout my visit about how nice people/staff are to her. That warms my heart and gives me peace of mind. I appreciate everyone who is making this place as nice as it is for my aunt and for other residents who are experiencing a new and often difficult chapter of their lives. Thank you so very much and keep up the good work.

10-1-24 Things are going well at Hylands Hills. They seem to have some problems keeping staff but new people are ok so far. Update 4 Weeks later My Sister was readmitted to her apartment. She had to stay in a care facility for 28 days! Hyland Hills required a Dr. visit with clear x-ray and MRI. So, from December 23, date of injury, to January 26th she paid rent and also for the Care Center. Hylands did allow an outside OT and PT to help her in her apartment. January 2024 We are having some issues with Hyland Hills now after my sister fell and has small fractures in her pelvis. They are not as helpful as they were upon move in. I and the Case Manager at the Care Facility are trying to work with them to get her back into her apartment that she is still paying for. She is completely self sufficient and mobile with walker and wheelchair like many others in the community. I will update this as it progresses. Maybe this will generate some positive response. She really likes living there. June 2023 Beginning with Matt, the entire staff has been helpful and kind. My sister moved in June 2023. She is adjusting well with the help of everyone at Hyland Hills. I highly recommend this Community.

I moved my mom in here a couple of months ago and she loves it! She says it's like living in a luxury hotel, but better There are so many amenities; activities, happy hour, in-house healthcare etc. but the wonderful and kind staff is what really makes the place incredible. She was in a bad situation before and it's such a weight off my soul to know she's safe and well cared for. And it's not just the 24 hour medical professionals and safety features of the apartments, she's made a lot of friends. She's never lonely or bored and is even trying new activities I didn't think she'd ever be interested in! Talk to Matt and set up a tour, I'm certain you'll be impressed!

My son and I had dinner this July with my mother who recently moved in. I must say it was excellent. We had Salisbury Steak, Chicken Cordon Blue and Salmon. It was better than any restaurant I've been to in the last 2 years. Even the salads were chilled. It's nice to know my mother is getting such great tasty nutritious food. We will be going back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of touring Hyland Hills Senior Living Center on Sheridan, after I visited several other properties. Matthew Schuen, conducted our tour into the Memory Care area. The whole facility is sparkling clean, modern, well lit, and totally safe and enclosed for the patients. Each patient room is bright, with its own large bathroom. The entrance to the room has a photo area of the patient, or someone in their family. While touring the dining area, we encountered several of the patients, who were disoriented. Matt approached each of them, and with a gentle touch to their shoulder, spoke softly and reassuringly to them. We are moving my dear friend here. She will be safe and happy here. JLS

There are a number of things which first caught my attention. This community is very new and it really shows. It looks like a high class resort with so many amenities its hard to name them all. While this a great, what matters most of all is the care given by the excellent staff. They've been trained well and have been chosen correctly for the jobs they do. So yes, the food is amazing and theatre blows my socks off… But what matters most is that the heart and dedication to residents which the staff shows every single day. Matthew has been great to introduce this community to us and follows through with the promises made.

My mom moved into Hyland Hills Senior Living a few months ago. I have toured numerous facilities (as I also have a disabled brother.) and moving my mom here has been a blessing! Not only does she have a beautiful apartment, the staff is incredible. They really take the time to get to know their residents and make sure that they are ok. She is often greeted with a hug from the CNA's. I have also witnessed the wait staff sit down and have conversations with the residents. The staff overall seems really happy, and I can sleep well at night knowing that my mom is in a safe and beautiful home. I would highly recommend them.

I've been a resident of Hyland Hills since September '23. My experience thus far has been nothing short of World Class. The facility itself is relatively new and maintained to the highest standards. Public spaces are clean and welcoming. The natural light in the building is exceptional. The design was purpose built to capture the maximum exposure to outside environment and natural light. The staff that I have interacted with has been outstanding. The care givers, restaurant & culinary associates, engineering, housekeeping, and administrative teams are all focused on providing a world class experience for those of us that reside here. The facility is extremely well maintained and service/special requests and handled quickly. The leadership team does a great job communicating pertinent information such as: wellness initiatives, maintenance updates, current happenings, activities, and projects in the pipeline to better the property and resident experience. I'm thrilled to live here and have been blown away by the level of care and attention I have received. My decision to live and recover here was the best for my needs and expectations.

Memory Care Facilities, It IS a very confusing and intimidating and emotional search to find the right one for our loved ones. Fortunately we had someone to share their experience with us and they recommended Hyland Hills Senior Living. We had determined that, this facility, had THE most clean and open living spaces and community spaces, we found they had the most clean, friendly, and professional staff members. We found they had WAY more options of private meeting spaces, recreational spaces which felt very private and as close to home as any. We moved our Aunt, who was suffering from Dementia into HHSC, back in July of 2022, we moved her from a Brookdale Park place. She was in their independent living since 2019. Had we really investigated, we would have found that HHSC is FAR superior in every way...especially financially with no hidden-up charges. The staff, the professionals who are with our aunt every single day, for 10+ hours a day, THIS IS EVERYTHING. We must be able to trust these professionals. HHSL, absolutely provided the staff. The memory care staff, must be clean, professional and reliable and competent.....which they are. Gabe, Laura, Jennifer, Krystel, Krystal, Danny, I know I am missing a few other gals.....they entire memory care staff must be acknowledged as no less than amazing. They are true Angels.... because of them, our aunt lived her final days with Dignity and Grace, they had the ability to keep our aunt with extreme memory issues, on the rails when she fell off, they were able to meet her needs, instantly when she needed emergency cleaning or safety needs. They kept her engaged in activities, as long as she was still physically able. They ALL HAVE GENUINE LOVE and care for this community. As our aunt declined, the staff adapted accordingly, again, so impressed with their consistent bearing, rarely showing emotional frustration and exhaustion...which as humans they must have as they work so hard. Over the months, yes, some staff was filtered out as they fell short of the standards that HHSL demands, and the facility had to adapt to meet the standards of safety and cleanliness for our loved once. The leadership and staffed were incredibly responsive to adapt and over come and produce positive changes, for us and the community, when we had any concerns. Our Aunt just passed over, and WE ARE SO GRATEFUL that she spent her last 18 months in the care of HHSL, they provided ALL the heavy lifting to ensure her comfort and dignity. There is an emotional loss for our aunt, but now also the emotional loss of no longer seeing this amazing staff daily, they have become family to us. HHSL has a partnership with Sun Tree Hospice, which....this is an additional ;holly cow awesome, experience. Between HHSL and Sun Tree Hospice, BOTH taking care of our Aunts care, enabled everyone to live a full life while ensuring the comfort of our Aunt. If we could go back and do this all over, we would have helped our aunt move into HHSL, into their Independent Living facility first, prior to memory care. The entire community is OUTSTANDING, and we have only been so blessed to have spent so much time here, with these great HARD WORKING angels.

After that experience he even likes the facility more. I am definitely happy I found the facility for my dad, and luckily it is only 8 minutes from my house. This is my 1st experience with assisted living, my dad came here the 1st of the year, 2023. He has been very happy here which makes me very happy. This is a beautiful place, however if you're going to trust them with care of family member - be aware they are not very supportive of family input of a care plan. Due to Covid residents are not allowed to go to the dining room for meals, food is delivered to the room and to go containers. They charge extra to put it in front of residents and get them set up, and don't come back for dishes/trash for hours so it is left there most of the day. If you want them to come back and pick it up sooner they will charge you for that too. Also if your family member is not tec savvy, they are not able to join activities now only offered over the phone, no staff assistance is offered without addl cost. Seems they prefer to be more like a hotel for the independent rather than be supportive of elderly care needs. If your family member has any care needs, you may want to reconsider.

When my Grandma fell at home and was transported to the hospital, we had to move very fast to find an assisted living facility for her. Atria stepped up to the challenge. The staff bent over backwards to arrange a room for Grandma in a matter of days - and this was during the holidays, so it showed extra special dedication to her needs. From the front desk staff to the leadership team, all of Atria has been professional, courteous, personable, and flexible. The vibe of this community is overwhelmingly positive.
