My parents are so happy to be part of the Community at The Residence at Selleck's Woods. While they are fond of their apartment, the terrace is their favorite place- just spectacular and the efforts to put together a unique garden have yielded truly amazing results.The staff SW are engaged and communicate with my parents on a personal level which we all appreciate and enjoy. There is a strong sense of community among the residents themselves, and I am happy that my parents have made so many nice friends.

My mom is very happy in Reflections. The aides take great care of her and the new director Dawn is doing a great job. I love to go and have lunch with my mom, and Abel takes great care of us. A special shout out to MJ who plans all the special events for everyone and always has a smile for you.

My mother is a resident of Selleck's Woods in Darien, CT. She took up residency after having partial hip surgery and right before a 100th birthday party we had planned for her at a restaurant. We needed to cancel the party at the last minute because of the surgery, but we were very fortunate to be able to reschedule the party for her, last minute, at Selleck's Woods. The party was so amazing and seamlessly perfect that it looked like it had been planned for months to take place at Selleck's Woods. There was a four-course sit down menu as well as delicious pre-lunch appetizers; there were balloons, a beautiful cake and tremendous flexibility for everything we asked of them in terms of her party. The occasion was never rushed and the Dining Room Director and the Master Chef were in attendance the entire time. It exceeded any and all of our expectations. From the moment we inquired about our mother's residency at Selleck's Woods they were great. With the prerequisite health/mobility evaluation the Director of Nursing came to mom's home to do her own appraisal. Everyone we have met at Selleck's Woods has been amazing, they go out of their way to be helpful and everyone we've met has been naturally kind and incredibly caring. They have met and exceeded every expectation we could have in terms of care and kindness. And, going back to the food, it's consistently delicious, and in case you don't see something on the daily menu that appeals to you, you can order something else that you may gave a yen for. I am definitely a Selleck's Woods enthusiast and would absolutely recommend the residency there for any of your dear ones. My mom is 100-years-old, but the age of residents there varies; it is really a home for anyone who wants a caring, loving environment.

Once you meet the team and see the carefully thought out, beautiful community - I can guarantee you won't look anywhere else. The residents all look so happy and everyone is friends which is very heart warming to see - you walk through and you see them greeting one another and including each other in what they are doing that day. It is a great environment - go see for yourself 🙂

My mother , Belinda, lived at sellecks woods unfortunately only a short while. She was extremely happy there. She said it reminded her of her sorority days in college. She had many friends , lots to do, and great food. She loved that I was able to come visit and participate in the lovely great offerings that the community had. It Truly warm family like environment. So much so that after my mother passed away I got a job there working in engagement.Sellecks woods of Darien is one of many wonderful LCB assisted Livings. Thank you.

This is a wonderful place to live the people here are great especially girl by the name, Julia Loda she is friendly and very capable and always there when you need her. The food is excellent and you have a variety to choose from. I am so happy I made the decision to move here. I hope you do too.

My parents moved into Selleck's Woods at the end of April after years of contemplating "downsizing". I was worried sick that they were going to hate me for encouraging them to move to an assisted living facility because "we don't need assistance". Thankfully I was wrong, they are both enjoying themselves and meeting new people and becoming active again! After being locked down for Covid for nearly 2 years, they both were deteriorating mentally and physically. Now, they go to exercise classes and movie night! My Mom calls me to brag about how many steps she's gotten in for the day or how great her last meal was! My Dad is participating in art classes - he is a fantastic artist, but I haven't seen him draw in ages. Now he's painting and drawing. I am so grateful to the staff at Selleck's Woods, I don't think they've ever said no to anything we've asked for! Everyone is so helpful. I can't thank them enough. If you're on the fence about moving into Senior Living/Assisted Living, please, take the tour of The Residence at Selleck's Woods. You will be impressed.

This place is a real gem. My mom is THRIVING and HAPPY at Sellecks Woods. The facility itself is beautiful, clean and secure. The warm and friendly staff goes above and beyond and treats every resident as if they are family. The food is delicious and the list of activities is mind-blowing. I couldnt be more thrilled this is where mom moved and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place for a loved one.

My 100 year old father recently moved into The Residence at Sellecks Woods and I couldnt be happier with the move. The staff are all very warm and welcoming, always making time to chat with him and with us as family members. The other residents have been equally warm and welcoming to him. The residence is lovely. His apartment is roomy, bright and perfect for his needs. The food is excellent as well. I feel very secure that his safety and physical needs are being well assessed and taken care of. As an elderly, long term widower who has lived alone and independently for many years we were concerned about how he would react to assisted living in a senior facility, but he seems very happy at Sellecks Woods and interacts enjoyably with staff and other residents daily. This is truly a wonderful senior residence.

My mom was one of the first residents to move into the beautiful facility in April 2019. Our family is thrilled that she is living is such a wonderful place. Not only does she have a big, bright, new apartment with huge windows, she is so well attended every day. The staff is caring and friendly and she is always made to feel welcome. The other residents are also welcoming and not cliquey. There is always someone to sit with and have a chat. I love that Barbara, the director, organizes parties that include both the residents and the staff and their families. Its great peace of mind to have nurses on hand, great cooks, and support staff who always greet my mom (and us) with a smile. And the activities director, Deb, thinks of a nice variety of fun things to do.

We are so glad we chose Sellecks Woods for our parents! The residence is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The food is outstanding - healthy, varied and consistently delicious. There are so many excellent services onsite including primary care, dental care, podiatry, PT, OT and a salon. The resident engagement team always has interesting events happening both at Sellecks Woods and also excursions off site. Most of all the staff make Sellecks Woods a warm, safe, stimulating and fun place to live. Our parents have not been this happy and stress-free in several years (and neither have we!).

The Residences at Sellecks Woods is not only a beautiful home to my mother, but the staff has been outstanding. They made her move extremely easy, they have treated her with kindness and respect and have made living there enjoyable for her. Importantly, when my mother needed surgery, the staff went above and beyond to support her during the pre-op, post-op and rehabilitation stages, which made a difficult and stressful time a great deal easier for all of us. This place is top notch and they make you feel like you are a part of their own family.

My mother, Rita McKenna, moved in to Selleck Woods in Darien, CT over the summer. The facility is new and gorgeous. Barbara Davis and her staff were first class in helping us through the process. It was our first time and she was wonderful, educational, and patient throughout the process. My mother is well taken care of, very active with all the programs, and adjusting very well to life at Selleck Woods. Moving my mom to CT from FL was stressful enough, but when we arrived, my mom was greeted at the door and the staff made her feel right at home. Since then, my mom has made lots of friends including the staff. She loves that she can eat at any time of the day an NO assigned seating! The place itself is like a hotel. New, bright, comfortable, but its the people that work there that really make it the wonderful place it is. I highly recommend Residence at Sellecks Woods!

My dad moved into Sellecks Woods in March of 2019. He was greeted by both staff and other residents with open and welcoming arms. My father, at 89 years young has thrived in this new environment. As best stated by the television show Cheers, Sometimes its nice to go where everyone knows your name, and theyre always glad you came. Sellecks Woods has provided the extra that my collaborative family could not provide. Dad is now surrounded by his contemporaries, has a beyond delicious menu to choose from and his own apartment to relax in when he so chooses.

Beyond the obviously beautiful, new facility is an excellent, caring group of staff and nursing professionals. They have worked tirelessly to make my fathers transition from a memory care facility on Cape Cod as easy as possible. Always cheerful and helpful, but most importantly kind, in all their interactions with us. They have really gotten to know him and make him feel welcome and appreciated. Soon my mother will join him but in the assisted living wing and we couldnt be more excited for them to be expertly taken care of given their different health needs. As an added bonus, the food is delicious!

Its taken me a while to write this but I need to share my experience with the staff or more accurately Family at Sellecks woods. I was in a real crunch when I first visited Sellecks Woods. It was pouring rain and I was on a major touring mission with my friend susan Callahan when we got to our 3rd facility: Sellecks Woods. I canceled the rest of the stops because I knew I had found my mom a new home. Unfortunately my beautiful mom didnt get to enjoy the years we thought she would but she did get a chance to participate in a variety of activities and happy hours and movie nights before she declined. The staff was warm and kind and helpful. They were there for me and my mom day and night. I dont know what I would have done without the love and care they gave to my mom and my whole family. These wonderful professionals are a soothing shelter in an otherwise cold and uncaring health system that wants to sweep the challenges of the elderly both mentally and physically under the carpet. I will always think of everyone at The Residence At Sellecks Woods from the wonderful director Barbara to the awesome nursing staff especially Mary, Jericha and Sandra to Duke and Lynne in the front and the entire team as my family. I have worked at The Residence at Sellecks Woods in Darien for 7 months. I am a Full Time Receptionist, Administrative Assistant. I truly love working with this team! I am the first person you meet when you walk thru the door. I enjoy greeting and welcoming everyone into our community. My interaction with our residents brings me so much joy. I sincerely love each of them. They are my family. We laugh and chat about what is going on in our lives. I enjoy listening to them sharing their life experiences, learning about their children, grandchildren and extended family. I am grateful and blessed to work with a wonderful team and most importantly spend my day with the residents in their home!
