I tend to judge a senior living community by its staff retention, and seeing leaders like Charles, Ashley, Kathleen, and Michelle in their same roles for over two years is a major green flag. To me, that stability indicates they are receiving strong support from upper management, which translates directly into the care they provide. When a team is consistent and well-supported, they are far better equipped to help families navigate these transitions and significantly improve their quality of life. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at The Artisan in Hudson. My mom began her journey in the assisted living area after having some cognitive decline. She had a difficult transition leaving her condo to go to assisted living and the staff did an amazing job at helping her acclimate. They were very good about contacting me when she needed extra care. After some time, mom transitioned to the memory care unit and then once again, the staff was amazing. In times when we needed blunt honesty about mom's condition, they were there to offer it. That was very much appreciated as we were in unchartered territory with mom's needs. Mom eventually went into hospice care in the memory unit and we were able to be with her in the comfort of her private room. It was a wonderful way to say goodbye. I want to personally thank each and every staff member that helped make mom's last year as safe and caring as possible.

We are so thrilled that my dad has chosen Artisan at Hudson as his home. The staff have been amazing to work with, and continue to go above and beyond to help with his specific situation. He lives in the Independent Living part of the community, and has met lots of friends there - guys to play poker with, and just chat about their day, have a drink with at the afternoon happy hour…but it's really the staff we are so impressed with. Everyone he passes has a friendly "hello, Bob" for him, and they always check to make sure things are going well. The one thing that makes him sad is that my mom isn't able to join him, as she requires full-time nursing care. She lives at a nursing home about 10-15 min away, in Northboro. This past Mother's Day, Charles (the director) and Kenny and Mike came up with a plan to have my mom join him at Artisan for the Mother's Day brunch and made it happen. It was heartwarming to see the lengths to which they would go to make sure they were able to spend the day together. Kenny and Mike both mentioned how happy they were to see it all come together, and it literally brought tears to my eyes to see my dad's face as she exited the van in her electric wheelchair. It's moments like those that let you know that dad is living in the right place.

Our experience of moving in residents at the Artisan at Hudson has been exceptional. Charles, Ashely and Kathleen have been incredibly caring and attentive, always making sure residents feel comfortable and supported. Frist off I will say what a warm and welcoming place it is. Very clean open spacing for many to enjoy. Secondly the welcoming staff. One person in particular is the concierge Cassidy, She is very attentive to every care she needs to assist on at her job. She blew my mind on the experience I had with her. She was very detailed in what she was informing on, especially how she greeted everyone with a smile and always had a conversation with them. It touched my heart deeply and amazed me on people like her can make a significant difference in someone life. She is such a hard worker!! Good Job Cassidy!!!

My wife and I are not yet planning to sell our retirement home and move to staged (Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care) needed care facilities near our daughter. We consider ourselves to be seriously investigating our options. Our Interview and tour gave us a very complete review of our social life and accommodation needs, and what they provide, as well as a fill in the blanks form to see what of our current expenses are eliminated by the decision, so we can see the financial soundness of the package we might eventually use. We felt the information was tailored to us, efficiently but personably presented, factual, and well worth the time it took.

Beyond grateful for my mother's experience in the Assisted Living section over the last 2+ years at Artisan at Hudson. She had a beautiful and spacious unit, enjoyed a wide spectrum of activities and events, and was truly well-cared for by staff members. The executive team has created a service-oriented culture and developed a joyous and thriving residential community. Special kudos to the chef and entire food services team, the PT staff and all of the residential care assistants who work hard to create a cheerful, compassionate and dignified atmosphere for the residents. The housekeeping staff maintain an immaculate environment. Easy access to the gorgeous Hudson Rail Trail for daily, safe walks makes Artisan unique! Our family is truly appreciative of everyone and again so grateful.

My mother enjoys the companionship she has found at Artisan. She is happy with the food. I have found the food very tasty. The on-site salon and nightly movies in the theater are enjoyable. My mom tends to spend happy hour in her room as she is more of a teetotaler. Bingo is the most frequent and popular activity. Lately, there have been more cultural activities. My mother's friends have been a real lifeline for her as she recovered from COVID and a blood clot. She lives in assisted living and enjoys not having to cook meals or clean her own apartment. She chose Artisan for open, bright mid century modern decor and the full size walk in closet in her one bedroom apartment.

Very happy with the care my father received. Jason, Christine, Sandra, and Letty were professional and patient, and my father was comfortable and content. The facility is clean and beautiful, and the food was excellent. There were plenty of activities to engage in, and both the residents and the entire staff were kind and welcoming. 2 years ago I would have given the Artisan 4 or 5 stars while I lived there, but this place has changed Management since then and I've moved out. Before I moved, I encountered higher rent (14% raise in 14 months), increased meal prices, fewer services, and less respect for my needs as a resident. I see on this web site that some Top Management (including the Exec. Director) have given themselves 5-star Reviews since February. Wonder why they feel it is ethical to "pad" their reviews...or is it simply the way they now "Do Business"? I wish they'd prefer to hear from REAL customers so they can learn where to improve.

Very Interesting Reviews left here recently by key management...obviously biased towards their paychecks;-/ We lived here for 23 months = experienced consecutive rent increases of 6% + 8% along with restaurant-PRICED dinners that were NOT restaurant-quality nor designed for senior residents in need of special diets such as diabetic or low-sodium. The residents are very friendly here and The Artisan at Hudson may be OK for healthy independent seniors with enough money to sustain themselves.

Eight family members from Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia) recently celebrated our Aunt's 90th birthday (resident Jean Landry). Staff were very helpful in making arrangements for the occasion. Ken Haywood (Dining Room Mgr) arranged to have a special area & table for our group to dine together, also for a pleasant & efficient server (Trev, I think), maintenance provided extra chairs for her unit to entertain us at happy hour. All went well for a happy time thanks to help & cooperation from Artisian staff. We are so pleased that our aunt is comfortable in a beautiful setting at Artisian at Hudson!

If you are looking for a facility for a loved one suffering from Dementia/Alzheimer's I would highly suggest looking into The Artisan in Hudson Mass. There is no getting around how sucky it is to have to be looking for this type of facility, but I can honestly say that every interaction my family and I have had with the staff here has made the situation suck a little less. From initial contact, to evaluation, to the move in, and her current care, everything has been handled with a sense of caring that is beyond amazing. When we moved furniture in, we went to the concierge and she was expecting us! On a Sunday!! Those kinds of small touches have happened over and over again at Artisan. I know I will be eternally grateful to Artisan for helping my family navigate a difficult experience. Thank you Charles and the entire staff at Artisan!

Agree with many of my fellow consumers that Artisan at Hudson is a beautiful, well-appointed facility with excellent dining and activity options. My family member is very happy there. However I must also agree with the comment about the front desk staff person, Teresa. I have as well experienced her rudeness on several occasions. She is definitely the single outlier that prevents me from giving a 5 star review. ALL other staff we have interacted with over the last nine months have been wonderful, caring and compassionate. Not sure why she's allowed to continue as the front person "face" of such an otherwise incredible and special place.

My mother was the first assisted living resident to move into Artisan several years ago. She had a wonderful experience living there. The phenomenal staff always made her feel at home. She made many friends, fully enjoyed the well planned activities and concerts and the superb food that was served. Everyone from the helpful concierge staff to the caring and compassionate CNAs, the proficient and warmhearted nurses, the very responsive maintenance team and the thoughtful and considerate cleaning crew was impressive. It was a nurturing atmosphere for sure. The residents were inclusive and kind. In the last few months as my mother's health declined, I felt supported by all of the different teams. They made best efforts to accommodate my mother's increasing needs that preserved her independence and dignity to the greatest extent possible. When my mother was dying, they continued to make her welcome at Artisan. Even though we had engaged hospice, those wonderful CNA's checked in with us across the day in case we needed anything. They assisted whenever needed. The fantastic Artisan nurses came daily several times to see if they could help out, check on her and made sure we had what we needed. They conferred with the home health aids and hospice nurses that were keeping her comfortable. The kitchen offered food and beverages to keep us going as the end was sad and difficult. When my mother died, we received numerous cards and condolences from Artisan staff and residents. Artisan sent flowers and kind words. My mother was cherished at Artisan. Artisan cherishes each and every resident. As a family, we felt loved there and will always be grateful for the extraordinary lifestyle provided to my dearest mother. I will always feel good about the last few years of my mother's life thanks to Artisan. I miss all of the friends that I made there and would highly recommend this facility. Mary Ann W

My mother has been residing in the Assisted Living section for 18 months and it has truly been an incredible experience! I am so grateful to all of the wonderful staff who engage with her daily and keep her safe. The location is easily accessible from the highway and the building is super clean, modern and elegantly furnished. My mother has a very spacious apartment with a beautiful scenic view of the Rail Trail behind the building. High priority is given to ensuring nutritious, wide-ranging food services and the meals are truly delicious. There are options for both fine dining and more casual meals, and eating inside or out. Residents are kept engaged with a busy activities calendar, including exercise classes, yoga, Zumba, regular concerts, celebratory events, barbeques, art classes, outside outings (museums, restaurants), meditation classes, walking clubs, afternoon 'happy hours' and access to a full gym. There is a newly installed pickleball court and outdoor activities are encouraged (shuffleboard, corn hole, etc.) All of the staff are dedicated to service excellence and providing an outstanding experience for residents and guests alike. The leadership team maintains an open-door policy and members are always easily accessible 24/7 as needed. All feedback is taken seriously with the goal of optimal resident engagement, joy and safety. All of the staff are personable, compassionate, friendly and eager to address any issues. I have toured several facilities within a 30 mile radius and none of them come close to offering the same environment, lodgings, activities and overall living experience as Artisan at Hudson. There is a thriving community of residents here who share much camaraderie and joy amongst one another and the staff truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.

My Parents moved into the Artisan Assisted living facility and loved their time there. Just knowing how well taken care of they were gave me and my family peace of mind. The Care they received from the Nursing staff, CNA’s and office staff was wonderful and they all treated my parents with so much love and kindness. There are so many amenities such as PT, OT speech therapy a beautiful gym and classes. It made life so much easier for my parents to be able to stay in-house for these services. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food options are accommodating and tasty. Laundry service and the hair salon is a plus. Large variety of activities and trips to many well known spots such as the Nubble light and local area restaurants. I highly recommend the Artisan and so thankful for the care my parents received. I give them 5 stars!

Unprofessional Rude Careless What does it say about this place when the Regional Health and Wellness Director tells someone who brings concerns to her regarding their loved one living on the memory care unit that if you don't like how we do things, you can move out and I'll help you pack your bags. This is not someone who cares. The Vice President is just as bad as she just runs over you and shuts you down when you bring concerns forth. This is not representative of a company that boasts their We Care Values all over the place. They've made it crystal clear they're just looking to collect your loved one's money and you're to keep your mouth shut about concerns for your loved one with dementia and the quality of services they're receiving in memory care

The facility is beautiful, clean and they have have done a wonderful job with safety precautions during the pandemic. My father is very happy with the facility and the support staff. However, we are very disappointed with the woman Teresa who works in the front lobby. She has been rude to myself and other family members on numerous occasions when we have gone over to visit my father. She is passive aggressive, rude, and not very helpful. I personally feel uncomfortable when I visit and I see she is working. I have brought this attention to management and was reassured that they would speak to her but her behavior continues.
