I really feel that the staff her at Somerby take a special interest in their residents. I am here a lot and see it all the time. They are a good team that works together well from the nurses to the med techs to the waitstaff. We recall like Dagmar in the dining room. She’s super!

My father has been living at Somerby for quite some time, first in a villa and now apartment and loves it! He recently had pneumonia and needed a little extra attention so he spent some time in respite care until he got strong enough to get back to his independent life. He really enjoys the pool, gym and especially Happy Hour!!! He loves when "Elvis" comes to perform. The staff is wonderful and genuinely cares about the residents!! Glad we have such a wonderful place for Dad so close to home!!

My mother moved into Somerby about 3 weeks ago. She was very nervous at the time but after touring Sumerby and meeting the staff and residents, I was confident that she would be welcomed and supported in her move although my mother was still nervous. I'm very happy to say that the staff was terrific in helping make a smooth transition and the other residents (who had been through the same move) were all very welcoming and helpful in including her in groups and just being warm and friendly. I couldn't be happier in how things turned out and it's great seeing my mother make new friends. Many thanks to all, Michael

As an out of town family member, when I am able to visit I am always so impressed with this community. Everything is always tidy and clean. The people all seem so happy and you see staff spending time with them. Helps my confidence in knowing I am not always able to be with my parents, but I know they are well cared for. The managers are visible and you can tell they do care.

I went there to sit with somebody that live in the cottage that place is so well kept clean tuck them out to lunch the customer service and that cafeteria is outstanding the people working there has the best personality much better personality than Arbor Terrace

Today my mother in law is a very HAPPY resident of Somerby Senior Community!! After many heart wrenching months of her refusing to talk about leaving her home much less leaving, she did. A huge weight was lifted off our family. Leslie DeLoach was a positive, friendly support system. The community is clean staff is great. My mother in law is now getting 3 meals a day with companionship of other residents that she needed desperately. Praying for those of you that are reading this, it is one of the hardest things you will ever do. But I promise you will not regret moving to Somerby Peachtree Georgia.

During the years my mother has been in assisted living at Somerby, there has often been a problem with the late response of staff when she calls for things such as meds being given at the times doctor has prescribed. When we joined her for lunch, we often had to wait a long time to be seated and staff ignored us after receiving our meals. Quality of meals worsened over time. It seems Somerby needs more staff to assist those who pay a lot to live there (which is why its called assisted living).

Somerby is a great company to work for, after 20 years of working in the Senior Housing Industry I have found a place I can call home. I am so happy to be part of a company that cares so much for their Residents and Associates. Somerby is a very fine facility, only 1 year old, the staff is very cordial and the residents happy. My Dad is in Memory Care there and gets good care. I only have 1 complaint and that is they do NOT have someone you can call 24, 7! You should ALWAYS be able to reach a staff person when you have someone there you need to call about. I got a call from Somerby at 7:30a this morning - the message was not detailed but asked that I call back. When l called back numerous times, got no answer, so I went there and after repeated attempts to get someone to let me in, no response. I got home around 9:00am and called then. The concierge answered and put me through to a manager. She was courteous, but I am not confidant that they will change policy. My Dad has only been in this facility 6 months, and l have had several instances of not being able to get through to someone. There is no excuse for any assisted living facility, memory care, especially a top notch facility like Somerby, to not have someone l can call anytime. l am my Dads responsible party, and pay well for his care. I think family members should be given a direct access number. This is my only complaint about Somerby.

My mother was at Somerby in Peachtree City for a year and a half. It is a beautiful facility with the potential to be a wonderful assisted living facility. My mother was cared for well but the lack of communication from the facility and the difficulty communicating with people in charge there was a huge issue. We had to BEG for care plan meetings to discuss my mothers care and even after meeting, nothing changed. It is impossible to call someone to speak to about any problems. For the amount of money spent on care at Somerby, I would expect top notch service and response to emails and, or phone calls. Emails and phone calls go unanswered and follow-up is slow to non-existent.

My mother moved into the memory care unit at Somerby on June 30, 2015. She has alzheimers. It took two to three weeks for her to acclimate, just as they said it would. Yesterday, on Sept. 17, she said to my father, Im going to miss it when I have to leave here. Ive made so many new friends. We are so thankful she is enjoying herself at her new home.
