We were especially impressed with the appearance and upkeep of the facility. Well done! Clarendale of Addison is attractive, well thought out and welcoming. My uncle moved in a little over 3 years ago and couldnt be happier for the decision to move him into Clarendale of Addison . He loves it there and he always speaks so highly of the staff there as well. He says concierge is super helpful when he needs something, and the activities are well planned. If he has any issues, the director is always there to help resolve them. It's super clean and everyone is friendly. They even have an overnight security person at the front that checks on everyone overnight. This young lady has helped my uncle out 3 times when he fell in his apartment and couldn't get to the phone. She's always vigilant and it helps keep our family's peace of mind knowing she is there at night in case of emergencies. Couldn't be happier with the all around care for my uncle. My mom has been in Clarendale of Addison Memory Care since December. I was very reluctant to move her into any facility at all. However, after seeing the care that she has gotten by the entire staff, I could not be more certain that we made the right decision. First off, we were so impressed at how clean the facility was. The staff is very good about calling my sister (she's the POA) and keeping us updated on her meds or doctor visits, etc. I see such a positive change in my mom since she has been in Clarendale. The staff could not be nicer. Every one of them. Kiki is her nurse and she is absolutely wonderful, as are all the staff that we have encountered. I wish i could remember all of their names because they all deserve to be recognized. It's just so good knowing that we do not have to worry about my mom like we did before she moved into Clarendale.

My mother has been at Clarendale in Memory Care for almost 7 months now and I can't say enough positive things about everyone on the staff. Every single one I have seen and dealt with so far have been kind, considerate, compassionate and caring. Kiki is absolutely wonderful, Wilma is beyond kind and Crystal is so attentive. I wish I could name every single person who works in that unit but just know that they all deserve to be complimented and recognized for all they do. It's difficult to leave a parent in someone else's care when you aren't able and/or equipped to take care of them when 24/7 care is needed and the staff there made the transition as smooth as possible. I am consistently kept up to date and informed of any changes (good or bad). I would highly recommend this facility.

My parents, aged 101 and 94, have been living in Independent Living at Clarendale of Addison for about 2.5 years. We have always been pleased with the quality of services and living environment at Clarendale. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and kind. Recently, due to declininag health status in my parents, it became necessary to move the folks to the Assisted Living wing of Clarendale. The only struggle in that move came from the resistance, due to cognitive decline, from my parents. However, Clarendale was there when we needed their help and the actual transition on moving day was seamless. We are feeling a level of comfort that eases our daily stress level because we know the caregivers, Ana and Claire, nursing staff lead by Lilibeth are watching out for our parents 24/7. The staff is truely making a sincere effort to gently persuade our parents to allow them to provide help, learn about our parents habits and preferences, and insure they are always safe and cared for. We are certainly getting our money's worth of services, care and consideration during our parent's final years. The administrative staff of Executive Director, Cythia, and support staff of Eric, Maria, Lynn, Ron, and others truly go out of their way to be helpful. I would highly recommend Clarendale for retirement living no matter what stage of life after 60 years old.

Nicest residents and a great caring staff. Numerous activities every day and great entertainment each month. A super clean retirement environment and well appointed resident apartments. The grounds are decorated with numerous plants as well as a location to grow vegetables. The resident patio area is a wonderful place to be in the warmth of the sun chatting with friends. These are just a few of the many wonderful sights here at CLARENDALE of Addison in Addison, Illinois.

I moved in on March 6 of this year. My review is based on my visiting similar facilities and what I learned second-hand. And the review is also based on the assumption that no facility is perfect. That said, the 5 stars are accurate. Physically, the fairly new facility has not only smoke detectors but sprinklers and fire alarms from the central system in each suite. Rooms are bright. They have general housekeeping every two weeks, such as vacuuming, floor mopping and countertop and bathroom cleaning. Food--likely the most tempting item for complaints--is, especially in the last months, quite varied and tasty. Exercise rooms and a large number of activities and programs offer substantial opportunities for residents. And most importantly, perhaps, both the staff and other residents are friendly. The overall atmosphere of the residents is one of contentment.

We had to find a community for my grandfather rather quickly coming from rehab. We toured several Assisted Livings and selected The Clarendale. Eric was great to work with and very helpful throughout the process. My grandfather hasn't been there very long, but he is receiving exceptional care, the staff is caring and attentive and overall he is very happy! They did a really nice job of making him feel welcomed and included right away.

As we realized our brother-in-law could no longer live alone, we commenced our search for an assisted living facility which could support his needs. We decided on Clarendale of Addison, and we have not been disappointed! He receives excellent care both from a medical standpoint and for his everyday needs. He interacts with other individuals at Clarendale and he seems happier than ever. Clarendale supplies a number of activities which he readily embraces. Not only is our brother-in-law happy, but so is his family which has noticed the positive change in his demeanor. Great job by Clarendale of Addison.

My mom has been at Clarendale of Addison since April 2022. It was the best thing we could have done for her. The administration, staff, and caregivers are the kindest group of people I have met. They are very caring and considerate of everyone's needs. It did take my Mom a couple months to get used to being there, but now it's her home and she loves it. When I took the tour, I said I could live here. I would not hesitate to have a family member at Clarendale. They are beyond awesome!

Clarendale was a God send to me and my family during a very trying time. The minute you walk through the door you can see what beautiful and extremely well cared for facility this is. Every staff member we have dealt with could not be more welcoming or helpful. Making the transition to assisted living can be difficult, but Clarendale sure knows how to do right. Our families experience with the staff at Clarendale of Addison was wonderful, from start to finish. Our first meetings and visits were filled with so many questions regarding placing our Aunt in the Memory Care residence. Kim guided us through and answered all of our questions, from care level, living arrangements, activities, medical support team and so much more.... When we admitted our Aunt our family felt very comfortable and assured we had made the right decision. The staff has such a great team spirit and positive attitude and was a pleasure to work with. I didn't want to move out of my house, but it was beginning to be too much work. I had to call my family for help again and again; this made me feel like a pest. The stairs were starting to be too hard for me. I moved into a beautiful apartment at Clarendale and now my life is better. I have friends, I have fun, and I don't need to call my son for help all the time. We play cards, we have long lunches, and I danced at happy hour! This is my first experience into senior living. My thoughts went back to the sad nursing home I walked into where my Grandmother lived over 30 years ago. But happily that was not the case. Clarendale is a warm and welcoming community to work and live. It makes my heart happy to share stories, hugs and everyday life with my residents and our team. This is an incredible place for any elderly person that need a safe comfortable place to live. We have my mother here and she has rehabbed back for a back injury and is thriving. She's been getting good food, plenty of exercise and many social activities. Our family highly recommends this community.

My mother was unsure about living alone since my father passed away and we went to visit Clarendale of Addison because it was very close to my sister. The place is immaculate! Everyone from the staff to the residents greeted us with smiles and waves. Eric was wonderful explaining all our options and taking us multiple times to view the facility since my mother could not make up her mind about which apartment would work best for her. Since moving in we still have nothing but good things to say about Clarendale. Even with the problems with staffing they have made it work. My mother loves the food! Very happy with her choice.

While searching for assisted living for my mother, I recently toured Clarendale of Addison. I was impressed by the amenities available. There was a workout room, a media room, and a lounge for people to gather. In fact, while I was there, the residents were in the lounge enjoying live entertainment and seemed to be having a great time. I also met several staff members who seemed friendly and engaging. The nurses answered all my medical questions and Kim was knowledgeable and patient with my process. When the time is right, I will be moving my mother to Clarendale.

The entire experience at Clarendale, during our Mother's Repsite Care following her surgery was simply outstanding! The community was very supportive, caring and attentive - could not have asked for more. The meals are great, nursing staff is wonderful and rehab offered within the facility, truly everything Mom needed at this critical time in her recovery. She enjoyed meeting and making new friends, many of which she has stayed in contact with after leaving Clarendale. Mom is back at home now doing very well, however, when she decides to make the move to assisted living, i know Clarendale of Addison will be her first choice! So very compassionate and caring with all the residents, including my father, even during the pandemic! My siblings and I could not have chosen a better place for our mom. The staff is absolutely incredible: warm, caring and truly go out of their way to make the residents feel welcome and AT HOME. They have made our moms transition go so incredibly smoothly, especially important during COVID times when we arent able to visit. We are so, so grateful to this team of loving professionals. A friend of mine just moved her mother (who is like a second mother to me) in and keeps talking about Clarendale. Everyone there made the move-in so easy. They help her mother face-time so they can talk. She loves the food and the care staff is so nice. I had to post this because my friend finds fault with everyone and everything and she talks so highly of this place. I cant wait to visit when we are able!

Last month we moved my mom from her home of 43 years to Clarendale of Addison. It was the best decision we ever made. I cannot say enough about how professional, caring and considerate the whole team is. From the red carpet welcome, to the extra attention and assistance they have provided, my mom is thriving and doing so well! She LOVES the food, playing bingo, exercise class and happy hour to name a few of the activities she is involved in. The healthcare team have gone above and beyond to help with Telehealth services. And, her apartment and entire facility is beautiful and very clean! For anyone considering making this choice for their loved one, I would highly recommend Clarendale!

After a poor experience in their first independent living community, my in-laws were on the hunt for their forever home. After scouring the Western Suburbs for that perfect fit, they landed at Clarendale of Addison. From the moment we walked into this facility we were warmly greeted and met with nothing but patience when asking a variety of questions about life at Clarendale. We signed on the dotted line the next day and planned for an early April 2020 move in. And then, COVID. Transparently, we were panicked. We had already given 60 day move out notice at their current residence, signed a lease with Clarendale and put a deposit down with a moving company. Sensing our worry, Clarendale stepped in and assured us they would be flexible with move in date and, when move in day arrived, they had an organized and, most importantly, SAFE procedure to get my in-laws settled. Since their arrival, Clarendale has been nothing but accommodating - providing breakfast free of charge when under stay at home orders, delivering both lunch and dinner to residents, having a weekly activity in which staff go door to door with a nacho bar, happy hour, sundae bar, hawaiian themed treats, etc, opening the gym for resident use with safety protocols in place...the list goes on and on. The food is INCREDIBLE with a rotating menu of specials and variety of options to choose from; there was an entire week that my mother-in-law lamented over Facetime to us about having to choose between steak and lobster (she couldnt get both because the portions are too big). They have also been incredibly communicative with residents families from sharing weekly updates to having an open line of communication with Clarendales Executive Director, Cynthia Miceli. Their handling of the pandemic has been extraordinary considering the circumstances; always communicating developments and changes quickly to residents, and being proactive in imposing safety measures, including free weekly testing for all residents. Cynthia has one of the most challenging careers and she is ALWAYS professional in her approach while also empathetic to the unique needs of each family. We appreciate her efforts as well as the efforts of the Clarendale staff. Suffice it to say, my in-laws have found their forever home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, Clarendale of Addison.

We moved my Father into Clarendalle senior community about a month ago, we could not be more happy about our decision. He is in Independent Living and he LOVES IT , he has made quite a few friends already, and he is starting to get involved with some of the activities, the staff is second to none,they make you feel so at home. Whenever I stop by they all recognize me and my brother and know us by our first names. This Crazy time and they are doing everything to make sure everyone stays safe, we feel this is the safest place for him to be at. We are so happy that we recommended another relative of ours who is planning on moving in next month. So glad my mom lives in Independent Living at Clarendale. I no longer have to worry about her being alone or not eating right. They are able to socialize in a responsible and safe way and she loves the food. The employees are all kind, caring, and compassionate. I arrived at Clarendale during the pandemic. After touring many senior living facilities, we found Clarendale to be bright, clean, and with a very good staff. My wife and I agree it has the best Executive Director Cynthia, of all the senior housing we visited. We are fortunate to have a Director who demonstrates how much she cares about the residents health, safety, and well-being. If you are looking for a great place to live, come for a visit or tour.

What an amazing place. Not only is the community new and beautiful, the surrounding area has so much to offer. Having multiple levels of care under one roof makes any family situation for a loved one less stressful. The staff is attentive and loving to every resident. The community is extremely clean, very safe yet it feels warm and cozy like home. Love all the extras with the hair salon, exercise room and even a movie theatre & arts and crafts to keep all residents engaged and active. The rooms with the balconies are a huge bonus having plenty of room for an outdoor swing - far larger than most communities and overlooking the park provides a beautiful view. Would HIGHLY recommend Clarendale !

The Clarendale of Addison is a stunningly beautiful community at an attainable price point. It is sparkling clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and the well being of the residents is always at the heart of what they do. The apartments are modern and sophisticated. I have recommended the Clarendale to many people; once my own parents start to consider adult communities, I will recommend the Clarendale to them, as well!

Ive been meaning to leave a review for a while. What a lovely place! The director, Cynthia (I dont remember her last name), was delightful. My mother-in-law was impressed with the Covid precautions. Its real and many elders have underlying conditions so its nice to see the virus being taken seriously (masks and people keeping surfaces clean). Its a challenging time to consider a move to a facility and this one is at the top of our list.

I am so touched and really impressed by the Director of Memory Care and some of the residents at Clarendale of Addison. I received 9 beautifully handmade cards for the loss of my sweet little Yorkie, Nikki. I couldnt believe it when I received these adorable thoughtful cards in the mail from Erin Klco, the Director of Memory Care and some of the residents that live at Clarendale. These cards meant so much to me that Erin and these sweet ladies took the time to hand make the cards, wrote some very kind words and included sweet poems to help cheer me up. There is nothing more comforting knowing that my dad is in the ABSOLUTE best hands with Erin Klco and her team in the Memory Care facility at Clarendale of Addison. The staff is very compassionate, attentive and treat him as if he is their own family member. They are very engaging with all the residents providing a very positive and supportive environment for them to thrive. What I love most is that they truly get to know the residents and make the residents experience more personal to their interests . My dad owned a restaurant and Erin and her staff were so creative in keeping him engaged under their supervision in activities such as cooking, baking, etc. that he used to do . He LOVED it!!! The facility is extremely clean, safe, modern yet offers a very cozy, environment that feels like home. I would HIGHLY recommend Clarendale of Addison to anyone seeking transitional care for their loved one.

Clarendale of Addison has been a wonderful place for my mom. She is active and doing things like she use to when she was younger. Erin, the Director of Memory Care has been wonderful. Unfortunately because of COVID, I was not able to move my mother into her unit, but I feel that the staff did a very nice job helping with the move under these circumstances. I cannot wait until I am able to enter the community to really get to see all the great things this community has to offer. It has been an unsettling time but Clarendale is doing a fantastic job keeping the residents safe!

This new facility is absolutely stunning. The rooms overlooking the park have a beautiful view and a perfect walking path so people can get out for some fresh air. The bar on the second floor is a perfect space to meet neighbors and play some pool. Several things to do nearby like movies and golfing, but several activities at Clarendale too. A good variety of restaurants nearby in the community, several even in walking distance!

My kids have been trying to talk me into moving in to an independent living for a long time now.. I am glad I gave in to at least come in for a tour and see what its all about. After seeing the place and getting to know what they offer, I can say that I look forward to living here. The highlight of my visit was getting to meet their director of nursing - Will. He left me a good impression that he takes good care of not just the residents, but his staff as well.

We have had nothing but a great experience with Clarendale. We have had to make some Room changes For my mom, and they are always accommodating and so easy to work with - they want whats best for my mom too- they genuinely care!! Friendly staff, great meal options and lots of activities for Seniors.

Been here since August 28. Wonderful, hard working (24, 7) caring staff, comfortable apartment, great new friendships, great variety of things to do. So glad to be here. Marilyn D.
