For the past three years, my mother was a resident of the Avita Memory Care Unit at Stone Hill, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional care she received. The staff treated her with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. Their skill and caring gave our family tremendous peace of mind. Recently, my mother passed away, and our gratitude for the Avita team has only grown. Their professionalism, empathy, and support during such a difficult time meant more to our family than words can express. If you are looking for a memory care community where your loved one will be treated with respect, warmth, and outstanding care, I wholeheartedly recommend Stone Hill's Avita Memory Care Unit. We will always be so grateful to the wonderful people who cared for our mother.

I literally cannot say enough good things about Stone Hill at Andover! My mom had an illness that caused a rehabilitation following hospitalization and we chose Stone Hill as a 30–90-day respite and possible long-term stay. Needless to say, this is quite a process, but the care of the team helped immensely and here we are a year later. My 92-year-old mom is thriving, engaged in the countless activities and events offered and feels truly cared for by the team and the feeling is mutual. Five Stars!

My mom moved into Stone Hill at Andover a few months after my dad passed away in 2025. We evaluated several senior communities in the Andover area and decided upon Stone Hill. My mom was a little reluctant as having a place of her own was a big change after sharing a home with my dad for so many years. Stone Hill was an excellent choice as it feels very much like a New England home with beautiful architecture and landscaping, and very nice community spaces, furnishings, and artwork. The apartment accommodations are clean and well maintained. The community is not that large, and my mom knows most of the residents. She is living independently but there is assisted living available for her even on a weekly basis if needed. The staff at Stone Hill has been amazing. They made mom feel at home initially and continued to provide outstanding support and comfort. There are many programs with special events that keep it feeling fresh and new. My mom has been especially active in exercise, word games, bingo, bridge, interesting presentations in the theater and attending live music events. It is great how visiting grand and great-grandchildren are always very welcome including at holiday events. The dining area is just the right size and very cozy and welcoming. The food is great and varied. If mom is not feeling well, meals are delivered to her room. I enjoy having the occasional meal with my mom. My family is very happy to have selected Stone Hill at Andover!

I cannot express how much we have been grateful for everything Stone Hill has done with our mom and getting her acclimated into the community. My mom moved to Stone Hill back in late September of 2025 and under not ideal circumstances. Shortly after we made the decision to transition her from her home to Stone Hill, she fell and broke her hip. Long and short, that fall was the "final straw" that she was no longer capable of living on her own, and also meant that she would not be returning to her house, but instead to her new home at Stone Hill. To make it even more challenging, she was going to be released from rehab while my family and I were out of the country, so we could not be there the first few days. The team at Stone Hill jumped into action and were incredible with helping us get her settled during our absence. They really did make a stressful scenario into one of complete comfort, knowing she was in caring and capable hands! Once she arrived, the team made sure she was welcomed to the community with open, loving arms, right down to introducing her to people, activities, resources and meals. They really made a difficult (and probably a little scary) situation a highly positive one for my mom. From the moment my mom arrived, she felt part of the community, even though she still had not fully accepted the loss of her previous home. Fast forward to today, my mom is thriving and has really become an active participant in all that Stone Hill has to offer and has made some really good friends. This was a big concern for our family prior to her move. Just the isolation alone in her old house, due to limited mobility, was having an effect on her memory and social. Now, she really has embraced the social aspects and enjoys spending time with other residents, especially during meals and social gatherings. In summary, Stone Hill rocks!! We looked at several other communities in the area, and Stone Hill always felt like the right place for mom. We are so glad we choose Stone Hill and even more grateful we were able to get mom her new home here near myself and my family. We couldn't have wished for a better community and situation, so I highly recommend Stone Hill.

My Mother lived in Avita Memory Care at Stone Hill for almost 2 years. She had exceptional care services and support up until her passing recently. She enjoyed the daily activities, especially yoga, art and music. The food service and food was excellent, always fresh and cooked to perfection. The facility was always maintained, a clean and nicely decorated facility. A very warm, welcoming, caring staff, a place we called her home! Anne ( In memory of Stella)

Stone Hill has been an amazing residential care environment. Every resident is treated as family and that community supports each person and their abilities. Stone Hill sets itself apart with the daily activities, events and seasonal engagement in the local area. The best decision for my family member, who loves Stone Hill.

We found a kind, caring, knowledgeable staff at Stonehill. There was always someone available to help whenever we had questions about my father. They are trained and equipped to handle any situation that arose and they made my family feel welcome and supported. We felt like we were home as did my father. He felt supported, had plenty of activities to keep him busy throughout the day and he enjoyed the food and food service. My family felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend

I recently went to an event with a close friend that has a family member at Stone Hill and their grounds and facilty are gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and you can see the residents as happy as they can be. Also, their food has improved tremendously lately since a new food and beverage director has been in the facility. Excellent!

My mom has been at Stone Hill almost 2 years and she absolutely loves it there. Our family researched so many places before selecting Stone Hill. For us, it was above and beyond all other places. The outside courtyard, fire pit, walking trails, front porches w/rocking chairs and landscape is beautiful. The inside modern dining room (w/great food), bistro, sitting areas, theater, exercise room are also amazing. Best of all, my mom always tells me how much she likes it there. She feels so safe and comfortable. She loves her apartment with a great view of nature and the wildlife (deer, birds etc) and really enjoys the activities especially bingo. The nursing staff is amazing. They are so friendly and always so helpful. I can't thank Karla and her entire team enough for all they do.

It is without hesitation that I give the “Stone Hill” at Andover 5 Stars !!! As my wife and I entered this amazing “State of the Art” Senior Living Community without an appointment, we were simply going to grab a packet and schedule a time to walk through the facility at a later date; however, we were most fortunate to be greeted by Cheryl Forbes the Sales Director - Cheryl “Carved Out” 90 minutes of Quality Time, she was extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient with us, as we asked a number of important questions pertaining to my Mother-In-Law. After setting up a meeting for all of us to meet; my Mother-In-Law could not wait to “Sign on the Dotted Line” for acceptance into Stone Hill. Cheryl then set-up a meeting with the Resident Care Director, Michelle Witham, who was extremely supportive and thorough when making sure that my Mother-In-Law would have the necessary “Care Package” to meet all of her needs. I could go on and on about our gratitude and excitement about the Staff, Residents and the Stone Hill facility, but I will close by simply saying it “Starts at the Top” and the Executive Director, Karla Rossi has assembled a “Top Notch” team where you can feel the positive energy and synergy amongst all those “Under the Roof” of Stone Hill in Andover. Michelle Meehan the Resident Engagement Director also deserves 5 stars for having such a Welcoming Personality and a Very Kind Heart, as well as showcasing meaningful programs for the residents. We consider ourselves most Blessed and Fortunate to have our family, friends and some former colleagues at Stone Hill… Joe Spanos

As a physical therapist providing care in this community for several years form an outside company, I've had the privilege of seeing firsthand the exceptional care and dedication of the staff. Having worked in many similar facilities, I can confidently say that this residence stands out for its compassionate team and strong sense of community. Managing a building with 80+ residents is no small task, yet the staff consistently go above and beyond to provide attentive, responsive care. In my one-on-one time with residents, I hear their unfiltered thoughts, and the overwhelming sentiment is appreciation for the team's kindness and quick problem-solving. While occasional challenges arise, they are met with prompt attention and a genuine commitment to residents' well-being. Stone Hill at Andover has been an absolute blessing for our family. From our very first meeting, Cheryl, Michelle, Karla, Tracey, and the entire team welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and an unmatched level of care. My mother-in-law lived at Stone Hill at Andover. Our family was continually impressed with the care team who were always there for her. One time she had a fall due to a medical issue and she told us the wellness team didn't leave her side and cared for her like she was a family member until an ambulance arrived. The entire time she was in the hospital and rehab, she begged to get back to Stone Hill. When she returned and she wasn't feeling well, her care team brought her tea, soup, or whatever else she needed to feel better. They were her family when we were not there. When she felt better, she loved enjoying the gorgeous grounds, going to the concerts, and spending time with other residents, just outside her apartment. She benefited fom the on-site primary care, podiatry, physical therapy, and hair salon. Stone Hill brought many great memories to her, and much peace of mind to us. I could not recommend it enough!

We love Stone Hill Andover! A year ago, we urgently needed a place with "memory care" for my mom, after her husband (her caretaker) passed unexpectedly. We had to move her quickly, from another state, and Stone Hill jumped through hoops to make it happen in record time. It has now been a full year, and I could not be happier. I do not ever worry about my mom, because I know she is being kept happy, healthy, and active. The building is absolutely beautiful, and it always feels bright and welcoming. The staff members are all so loving and my mom is always treated with love and respect. Her day-to-day life, in memory care, is exactly what I want for her -- she is in a safe environment, she has friends, and she participates in various activities every day. They regularly go outside the facility for group outings on the bus, and my mom loves it. Each time I enter the memory care unit, all of the residents and staff members are congregating together, and the energy is so positive. It feels like they are a family of their own within the larger Stone Hill community. I would recommend Stone Hill to anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facility for their loved one – especially if they need memory care.

My mom was cared for here in the Avita Memory Care wing. The caregivers are compassionate, patient, consistent and really become like family. Stone Hill is very big on family partnership and involvement so that your loved one receives the most intimate and personal care. In terms of the facility - it is clean, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable and the staff truly cares about the environment for the residents. Any maintenance issues were handled quickly and thoroughly. During the end of life for my mother - the staff was warm and respectful to what my mom and my family needed. The entire experience from the very first phone call I made to inquire about Stone Hill to her now living/being there almost two years and has been nothing but a blessing. Stone Hill and their staff have been courteous, understanding, patient, extremally helpful to her/our needs and compassionate thru ought. This has been for my sister. Their facility is one of the best I have visited (my father dies of Alzheimer and we looked at a lot of places for him). VERY clean, dining area is better than a lot of restaurants. Laundry facilities for their own use or the facility will do it for you. Some kind of activity everyday thru out the day, just pick the ones you want. Night time they have "movie night" in a cinema with reclining seats and a popcorn machine. My sister was hesitant at first but now loves it. Stone Hill was truly a Blessing and answers to prayers. You will not be disappointed. Seeing is believing, go see it Marc Bellemare

My father has been a resident of Stone Hill at Andover for just over eight months and I am extremely pleased with the facility and his care. It’s all because of the incredible people that work there. Without exception, the many staff there that I have met exude the utmost warmth, compassion, patience, and respect towards the residents. They ALL consistently display the highest levels of professionalism running the facility, caring for the residents, and interacting with the family; laser focus on the welfare of each resident; and dedication to making Stone Hill a wonderful place to live. I feel great when I visit my father there and often wonder, “How can this be? How can everyone that I meet there be so genuinely kind and cheerful and so hard-working and competent – always?” Every time I drive away from Stone Hill, I marvel at that same thought. I can only surmise that besides employing outstanding individuals, the climate of excellence is somehow promoted from within, which speaks volumes. I wouldn’t hesitate to live at Stone Hill myself.

Excellent – very caring and compassionate. My mother was a resident of Stone Hill until she passed in January 2025. During her time, all of the staff were very attentive to her unique needs. In particular a few staff members went above and beyond and established a strong bond with my mother. She had two resident care associates in particular, Ezekiel and Elisset, who she adored. While the care Stone Hill provided was always good, I found that the comfort they provided in her final days was exceptional. My mother was also very fond of Michelle who was a great help to our family in her final days with frequent visits to spend time with my mother and provide comfort and support to our family. We also found that the dining experience was excellent. The food was very tasty and the service was responsive and attentive. Overall, I’m very happy my mother chose Stone Hill and would recommend it without reservation.

I can't say enough good things about Stonehill! My mother went to live there on August 1st, and the road to get her to go was bumpy! The staff (especially Patti and Chantal!) were so caring, patient and understanding. They were behind my husband and I throughout the ups and downs and made the transition for my mother seamless. It has now been six weeks and mom loves it there and is thriving in the community. The staff is a delight and always cheerful and supportive. The building is always immaculately clean, the food is delicious and there are lots of activities and events for mom to attend. My husband and I are at peace with our decision knowing that she is so well cared for and is happy in her new home.

Karla- Finding the exact words to express one’s appreciation for all that is done when it comes to providing care for our family members can often be difficult. Nonetheless, I would like to express my sincere and ongoing thanks for the staff at Stone Hill. My experience, and that of my mother, is that your entire staff consistently shows great warmth, kindness and respect on a daily basis. I would specifically like to take the opportunity to shine a very positive light on Vicki Doherty. As the receptionist at the front desk, she is the first person anyone entering Stone Hill’s front door will undoubtably meet. To say that she is an employee who wears many hats is an understatement. It takes a matter of only a few moments to realize that she is not just answering a phone that does not stop ringing. Vicki is constantly fielding questions from visitors and residents while directing outside medical personnel to specific resident’s rooms, paging staff members and assisting visitors with the Kiosk. Admittedly the Kiosk is not necessarily intuitive for infrequent users. I view Vicki as being a very dedicated ambassador for Stonehill. She is one person who constantly goes that extra mile for anyone who needs her help. Aside from Vicki, there are many other phenominal people who make Stone Hill a wonderful place for my mother. It is for that reason that I would like to express my sincere thanks to a truly superb staff. This includes the orginzation's directors, the Wellness team, dining room wait staff, and housekeeping. Karla, you have a truly exceptional team that consistently strives to achieve excellence at Stonehill. Many Thanks Mark Morley and Steve McCabe

I cannot say enough positive about Stone Hill. My father and mother moved there roughly a year ago and they have been a godsend to our family. It is a beautiful space with grounds kept impeccably. The food is wonderful and staff and leadership have been amazing.

In 2019 our 80-year-old brother was diagnosed with the onset of dementia and it was recommended that he would be best served residing in a multi-level assisted living facility. After much searching, Stone Hill of Andover recently opened was selected which provided assisted residential care living along with a memory care unit. The selection of Stone Hill could not have been a better decision especially with the 24-hour care that they provided that he now needed. The residence is truly outstanding and in the two and half years that our brother lived there, the very qualified and efficient staff which is led by the excellent leadership of Karla Rossi, Executive Director, took a genuine interest in getting to know him and his needs and interests. In fact it was the well-trained staff who noticed changes in our brother’s behavior, brought on by the progression of his dementia, that led to his transfer to Avita, the memory care unit which was a safer and more structured environment catering to his specific medical needs. At Stonehill Avita Memory Care, residents can enjoy an active and multi-faceted social program which is creatively and enthusiastically led by Tracey Meech, Program Director where our brother could choose from those activities that peaked his interests and stimulated his social interactions. Stone Hill does an extraordinary job presenting new experiences to their residents bringing in a wide spectrum of outside performers, artists and offering many creative activities along with one of our brother’s favorites– road and field trips in the van to nearby destinations. Dining at Stone Hill was also outstanding offering diverse choices at each meal, served in a social setting and catering, often, to his favorite tastes. It is interesting to note that many featured ingredients served at Stone Hill are locally grown. When we first arrived at Stonehill we knew it was a very special place with its striking white architect, well-maintained grounds and pretty seasonal flower beds and planters….and its beautiful main lobby was always so warm and welcoming. Each individual apartment at Stonehill is lovely and our brother was able to decorate and bring his own furniture and belongings along with familiar and favorite pictures and paintings to make his studio apartment his very own which helped him with this transition. We could not be more pleased and more grateful to Stone Hill of Andover for the total care and sincere and dedicated interest that the entire staff provided to our brother giving us the peace of mind that we needed knowing he was in a safe and caring environment that was the very best …..and we highly recommend this exceptional senior living community to those with similar needs for a loved one. We made the difficult decision to place my mother in the memory care unit at Stone Hill a few months back, and it has proven to be the right decision. The staff are extremely caring and attentive, and they have integrated her into the daily activities so well. She loves all of the arts and crafts activities and interacting with the other residents. It has been a game changer that the property allows dogs to visit, as my mom misses the dogs at home so much so we try to bring them as often as possible.

Stone Hill has taken all the worry out of care for our mother at a time when she required daily memory care and personal care that exceeded what we could provide for her at home. The kindness of her personal care attendants, nurses and full staff is beyond what we expected. She is happy and thriving. Visiting her there is a pleasure. The executive staff is very much involved in the details of care for each of the residents. The feeling is warm and welcoming at all times and any question or concern is addressed efficiently and immediately. Stone Hill is the answer we were looking for; we are so happy to have found such a special place for Mom

I just want to say how wonderful Stonehill at Andover really is. The facility is simply beautiful. It is was built only a couple of years ago. It has great food, served in a beautiful dining room. They also have a hair salon and movie theater. Its so nice, I think anyone would be happy to live there. They also have a memory care unit, of which my wife was a resident for 18 months. And the staff there are just the most wonderful people. She was given outstanding care by the very compassionate staff. They were so good to her, they were better than family. And they tried very hard to make it affordable for us too. I highly recommend Stonehill!

I moved my mom from out-of-state to Stone Hill last fall. I spent months researching various options and kept going back to Stone Hill as the best option for us. Our experience has confirmed it is a high-quality facility staffed with kind, respectful and fun people. The leadership is professional, responsive and caring and every interaction is pleasant. The food and facilities are fantastic. So thankful she is safe and content. I would recommend to anyone!

Stone Hill and the Staff rock!! When my mom moved to Stone Hill (June 2019), I felt confident "we" as a famly had made the best decision for her. Fast forward to Feb 2021...we are certain Stone Hill is still the right place for her. Throughout this pandemic, the amazing staff has gone above and beyond to keep everyone safe. They implemented CDC-approved protocols and adjusted everyday living to accommodate the needs of the residents. It wasn't easy, but they did what they had to do. And, now residents and staff have been vaccinated against Covid-19...what a relief! As a long-distance caregiver, not being able to visit in person has been difficult, but knowing she is safe and healthy is all that matters. Thank you Stone Hill for taking great care of my mom.

My dad moved in to Stone Hill last March. His wife died in December and we moved him back from Florida to be close to his family. We have been blessed by the caring and nurturing staff. Prior to COVID, my siblings, children and I, have all had dinner there, attended "happy hours" as well as seeing various entertainers, great fun for all! I thank everyone at Stone Hill for the care and support they have given us.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the people/staff at Stone Hill at Andover. They treat our 91 year old dad like family. During these extremely difficult times they make the family feel better in knowing that dad is well taken care of and someone cares about his well-being. They keep him so busy we have trouble getting him on the phone! Thank you Stone Hill!

The staff are very thoughtful and facilitated a seamless transition for my Mother. Mom frequently compliments the staff, food, facility and activities. She is very happy and I couldn't be more pleased with her care. The food is great and the variety of activities keeps Mom engaged and looking forward to each new experience. Some of her favorites are the museum trips, guest musicians, yoga and exercise class, parties, flower arranging and painting.

The decision to move a loved one into an assisted living environment is a transition that is challenging on so many levels. My mother and I were familiar with facilities in the area and had revisited them before looking at Stone Hill. It was just last October that we made the decision to move her here. My mom has been at Stone Hill for 3 months now and the topics of conversation are endless. The friendly and caring attitude is evident at all levels; from management, to the activity personnel, to the dining room chef and to all staff associates. They are all willing to go out of their way to ensure that all residents’ expectations are met. The food is always good, with variety and special requests. The activities are never ending and the holiday and birthday celebrations are special. Recently my mother who is in her 90s attended yoga for the first time! Personally, it is comforting to know that my mother is safe, and being cared for in such a beautiful environment.

Beautifully decorated with interesting art and comfortable sitting areas, Stone Hill makes the assisted living experience one to treasure and enjoy. The rooms are spacious, the food is delicious and the staff couldn't be more upbeat and helpful. Whenever a situation occurs which needs attention, the staff is right there to help any way they can. They make the transition from home to assisted living as smooth as possible. Their outdoor terraces and walking paths allow residents to be in the fresh air whenever weather permits. Stone Hill at Andover is a "happening" place in every way and they have welcomed my mom with open arms.

My Mother’s first visit was in March, 2019. This was going to be a tough transition since my Mother was reluctant to leave her home. Sales director, Patty King, instantly connected with my Mother and made her feel very comfortable. Patty sat with us, got to know my Mother, and took her time explaining how Stone Hill would be the community for her. My Mother has been here since June. To say that she loves it would be an understatement! This new home has been an absolute life saver. She is part of a wonderful, loving, caring, & expanding community. The staff is simply excellent. They are attentive, responsive, and do they the best they can to accommodate all residents. The building is immaculate and the food is terrific. I can’t recommend Stone Hill enough!

Mom was one of the first 25 residents to join the StoneHill family!! She was making a difficult move in her young 90s! She was greeted and included warmly from her first contact. The amount of opportunity to meet new friends and experience new activities is endless. Her personal care needs were evaluated professionally and timely. We have never felt she is not looked after, from the time she moved in. Her surroundings are beautiful; spacious, immaculate, and homey. Incorporating her own furnishings and belongings to her studio made her transition smooth. StoneHill is a truely special assisted living place!!

The facility is elegant, the food is great, and the staff is very friendly, efficient and accomodating. My sister had a broken arm and they ordered an electrically operated reclining chair especally for her. I have had relatives at various facilites in the area and Stone Hill is by far the best.
