Had such a wonderful Easter dinner at Atria Marland Place with my husband and my Father-in-law who is a resident there. They truly exceeded our expectations! The staff could not have been more attentive and genuinely caring, they made the entire evening feel special, not just for the residents but for the family too! The food was well prepared and something you'd enjoy at any great restaurant. Grateful for moments like this for our family! The Easter Bunny even came earlier that day to visit them, it's great to see all the fun activities they have there for them!

Though our family found a senior community closer to where we live, Atria Marland Place was top of our list. AMP’s transformation of an old mill building next to the Shawsheen River into a warm and loving senior living community is magical. Inside, the high level of dedication, energy, and expertise is apparent with everyone who works there. Jonathan was so kind and supportive to our whole family during this process and we are forever grateful for all of his guidance. I highly recommend that you consider AMP for your senior family members .

While no facility is perfect, Atria Marland Place does its best to come close. Our mom has been there for over five years, living first in independent living, and now in the memory care unit. We appreciate the hands-on attention she receives as a person with limited cognitive abilities. Shelley, on the fourth floor is worth her weight and gold with her ability to engage the residents and meet them where they are. The staff on four are tuned in to mom’s personality and needs. It is a very personal decision, where to place a family member. If you need support to help your parent age in place look into Atria.

Our family is thrilled that our Mom decided to move to Atria Marland Place. She was living in another senior community but decided to move close to us. The staff and other residents were warm and welcoming from the beginning, helping in any way they could so Mom could get settled in her new home. She has been a resident for almost five months and has already made some very good friends thanks in part to all the activities and events they have daily. It is very unusual to find her in her room during the day which speaks to the fun she is having. Mom is enjoying the food in the dining room and loves socializing in the pub. It is comforting for us to know that everyone who works there go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy and their needs are met. It is a blessing having her in this community!

We moved my mom in to Atria in September. She was resistant at first but agreed that Assisted Living was the right choice. Since she has moved in, she has made friends, gets involved with the community and loves all of the activities (and Mary, the activities coordinator). The staff is always so friendly and welcoming to our family (picture below from Mom’s birthday) . We couldn’t be happier and, more importantly, neither could my mom. After three bone breaking falls I decided, with the encouragement of my children, to seek a more supervised lifestyle. I viewed several assisted living facilities and was disappointed. I then came upon Atria Maryland Place. There was an immediate liking. The front desk employee was very pleasant. The facility was open, bright, clean and did not have the usual nursing homes smell. I was given a very informative tour. There were several apartment options. I chose a one - bedroom apartment with a spectacular view, overlooking the river. Soon I was pleasantly surprised with the pleasant and delightful caring staff they helped the handicap people in a patient and respectful manner. Staffing at the Caf© and Pub, which are open daily, is exceptional. They were professional and caring for everyone. Through their efforts the Caf© and the Pub are a pleasant retreat between meals and activities. The staffing for the many supervised activities are very respectful and pleasant that promote an atmosphere of camaraderie and participation. I find the live entertainment to be very enjoyable. One of my favorite activities is going to the pub every afternoon for a couple of drinks, conversation and occasional singing pub drinking songs. The food is very good considering the many diet and handicap restrictions. Although I like pasta, I feel the entr©es are disproportionate toward pasta dishes. The soups and desserts are excellent. The Pub bartender is extremely professional and very attentive to the needs of the clientele. During a severe windstorm we lost power for several days. There were many downed trees and electrical wires on all roads. Traffic was limited to emergency vehicles only. Some employees, who lived nearby, walked to work, others slept overnight in the facility. During this emergency, adequate meals were prepared under adverse conditions and delivered to our rooms. Individual battery - operated lighting was supplied to the rooms. The dedicated and trained staff turned a potential catastrophe into a mild disruption in our daily lives. Atria Maryland Place has more than met my expectations, for assisted living. I would not hesitate recommending this establishment to anyone.

My parents moved into Atria Marland Place in August 2022. My dad had cancer (he passed December 1st, 2022) and was unable to continue to take care of the things he was doing at home. He also wanted to make sure my mom would be safe and well taken care of once he passed. They were together more than 60 years and lived in their house in Andover for 43 years. This was not easy for either of them. However, everyone at Atria was and continues to be AMAZING. I am incredibly relieved and grateful we found Atria Marland Place. The facility is beautiful and looks like a high-end condo, not at all like a retirement facility. On the first floor, they have a grand piano, a movie theatre, a tavern, a spa, multiple dining rooms... They have independent & assisted living as well as memory care. They have a lot of regular staff that know my mom and me by our first names, from the people that work at the front desk, like Dorothy, to the administrative staff, to the director (Maria Boudreau) and aides that interact with my mom daily (too many to list). They even know my dog's name, who I often bring to visit my mom. They are friendly and truly care about the residents. When my dad passed, Mary Mazza helped us put together a celebration of life in their meeting room, as that was easier than bringing my mom out of Atria to go to a funeral home. Some of them even stopped by for the service and said lovely things about my dad. Maria Boudreau, the director of the memory care unit is INCREDIBLE. She has helped me navigate this change in my family's lives, she has been there for my parents, and she will even take time out of her day to send me a photo or share a story of something positive that happened with my mom. Of course my mom did not want to leave her home or have any help, but with the people at Atria being so great, she is doing really well, all things considered. I never worry about her being there. I can't recommend Atria Marland Place enough.

Marland Place has been such a positive experience for our family. The care my mother has received is a breath of fresh air. The staff is approachable and the management has always made themselves available to talk and explain any issues. Assisted living can be a difficult adjustment for a loved one, but the facility has been so helpful and kind throughout the process. After a serious of minor strokes at the young age of 64, last year I decided to move my father to Atria Marland Place for assisted living, after looking at various other assisted living homes in the area...great decision on my behalf, as they take care of everything for him, and I don't have to worry or take it on myself as, what would be essentially a second job. The staff there is nothing short wonderful, and I really mean this, from the ladies that work the front desk to the Executive Director, Kim, and everyone in between. I tend to check in a lot and ask for things, and they are always more than happy to help me with whatever I need to make my father's life more comfortable. I am not the type to leave a review on anything unless I really love or really hate it, and in this case I love Atria - it is clean, well maintained, plenty to do, and they are a fantastic staff. Even more recently, I had the experience that inspired me to leave a review - My father was in an apartment there located directly under someone who had loud furniture and medical equipment, and he likes to keep to himself for the most part, and it was really getting to him - so much so, that, even though he really likes Atria, he was asking me to find him somewhere new because this was overwhelming. I spoke with staff there, and especially the Executive Director, Kim, about the situation, and they were all over it for me. They actually took the time and resources to show my father a new apartment there and when he gave the green light, they moved him for me - HUGE WEIGHT OFF MY SHOULDERS! I couldn't be more grateful, and now he is content and happy as a clam. Hands down, I've done the research, this is the best Assisted living around, at least in eastern Massachusetts.

Very grateful for the ED and staff who have supported our family through my father’s decline and recent death, and my mother’s current decline. During this very tricky time of Covid, Marland Place management and staff have shown us so much compassion and accommodation. Marland Place is one of the few assisted livings that has allowed for safe, scheduled visits since March of 2019. While there were periods when indoor visits weren't possible, Marland Place worked creatively to provide safe ways to visit outdoors. Throughout the pandemic, they have demonstrated an understanding that the safety of residents and staff has to be balanced with resident's social - emotional needs and the need for real - time connection. So many of my friends have had to rely on window visits and FaceTime only since last March. We have been so fortunate to have had opportunities to see our parents and I will be forever grateful to Marland Place for this.

My mother moved into Atria Marland Place about three years ago. The overall experience has been positive. I have been specifically impressed with the Engage Life Director, Mary Mazza. Mary's enthusiasm and work ethic is excellent. My mother tends to like to be by herself, and does not seek to be social or engage in activities, and Mary has been instrumental in encouraging her to participate and stay active in weekly events. She has also been very attentive to my family's requests as pertains to my mother's needs. Marland place is lucky to have Mary on their team.

We moved my mother-in-law in about six months ago. The staff -David ( Director), Mary ( Activities and Social Life) and Nick (Sales and 2nd in Command), and Stephen (Maintenance) have been attentive and responsive to our needs. What's more impressive is that the majority of the staff (house keeping, nursing, maintenance, dining services) have been thoughtful and caring - going beyond standard service to be sensitive to the specific needs of the seniors who live there. We continue to make special requests to try to make my Mother in Law happy and to adjust to her new residence, and Marland Place continues to deliver excellent service.

I am blessed everyday that my dad is member of the Marland Place community. From the moment I met Nick for a tour, I knew this would be a wonderful place for my parents to live. Each staff member is always kind,thoughtful and completely respectful of the needs of each resident. I learned quickly that as people age, their personalities can make things challenging at times. The staff is always mindful of each individual and go above and beyond to meet their needs emotionally and physically. The goal at Marland Place is to make certain that your loved ones are given exceptional care at all times. My mom passed away last year and the staff has been wonderful supporting my dad and I during this very difficult time. It is comforting to know that my dad is safe and can call for help or support when he needs it. The food is delicious!! There is a wide variety of selections on the menu for people to choose from. My husband and I moved to Atria Marland Place from another facility almost three years ago. It was the best move we ever made”marvelous food, amiable residents, helpful staff and a great location. I love to read and found two well-stocked libraries whose books are periodically updated with popular best-sellers by Mary Mazza. But the best amenity by far, as far as I’m concerned, is the Pub, the most popular spot at Marland. It’s a friendly, welcoming, joyful place to have supper every night. A place for pals to gather and socialize. It’s like going out to dinner every night. And since my husband has passed away recently, it’s a godsend. I believe I have given my children the gift of peace of mind by being at Marland Place. They don’t have to worry about my safety or my social life. And we can get together frequently for family get-togethers in the private dining room.

My father has been a resident for almost 18 months. He is almost 96 years young and except for being on medication management, he is still very independent, of sound mind and pretty active. He seems content and is enjoying living there. I can honestly say that I have not heard a negative comment or complaint from him during the time he has been there; nor have I had a sense of his not wanting to return at any time. For myself, I have had only positive interactions with the staff and they all treat my father with respect and consideration. Earlier in the year, he did have a couple of emergency health situations due to his diabetes and the staff acted quickly and very responsively to get him help. I always found the RSD and the nurses to be communicative and attentive so I do believe that my father is getting the attention that we hope for when needed. I can't give five stars because when we first moved in my father; I felt that during that day one, we were not given a proper orientation regarding the facility itself, the workings of the dining room, and a proper introduction in terms of who is who of the staff and their relevance for my father's benefit. That first day or so, I felt like we were floundering a bit and left to figure things out as we went along. Otherwise, so far so good!

My Dad has been at Marland for almost two years. It has not been emotionally easy for him, but there are two people who can always make him smile: Guy Ferranti and Mary Mazza. Guy brings joy, laughter, music, and a tender heart wherever he goes. Mary works hard at knowing the interests of each individual resident, and tries to tailor activities to those interests, all with good humor and high energy. Five stars for Guy and Mary! I also want to commend the daily caregivers; their job is not an easy one, but they are are, for the most part, gentle, willing and able. They call everyone by name, even in passing in the hallways, and always have a smile; in particular, Karen Sheldon seems to be a most competent and caring leader among them. Alisha Pascucci (the nurse) has been extremely helpful to Dad, and to all of Dad's family. Thank you to all!

I have a loved one who has been at Marland Place Andover MA for about 7 years. It was her choice from the begining over the many retirement places we looked at together. The primary person in charge sets the standard for the community and she was supperior. All of her succesors are also. As my love one has grown older, Marland Place's care for her has increased with consistant attentiveness. She loves her clean and ample size room which has a great view of the mill river. And she is always out and about on the 'Main Street' visiting. She has been very at home and contented here.
