My 97 year old friend lives here. The staff is very friendly and my friend is well taken care of. She's been here for 20 years. Has a lovely Apt with a balcony, she also has her own garden patch outside.

Hearthstone at Murrayhill is a safe, secure community for the elderly. We researched and found Healthstone after looking at many other community residential offerings near our residence. My mom is elderly, 88 and independent. She enjoys the friends she has made over the last year. Especially noted are the meals that are varied and also offer a separate menu for those desiring other options. The ceiling in the rooms are high making the rooms feels much more spacious. The rooms are well insulated which produces no noise from common walls or roofs. Each room is individually controlled by the resident for heating and cooling needs. They offer washer and dryers for the use of the residents. She enjoys the activities offered onsite. She really enjoys the full time chaplain that is caring and offers Sunday services which you can watch on your TV or attend in person. They are pet friendly so you can have your small dog or cat with you. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful flowers, trees and a fountain. Her Nurse Practitioner visits her upon request in her room. They offer studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units. I enjoy the fact that assisted living is an option along with memory care and hospice this provides the need to never move her unless she needs skilled nursing care. The friends she enjoys would never be possible if she lived alone and I as a daughter could not provide. I highly recommend. The staff are attentive and keep the community clean and well maintained. At Christmas the lobby is fully decorated too.

To date, my family has had an 8 year relationship with Hearthstone, and we look forward to many more satisfied years to come. My mom and dad became residents in 2015 on the more independent side of the facility. They had some friends there already, but they made many many more. The facility is clean and very well maintained and the courtyard gardens are beautiful places to sit and visit, or eat a meal on a lovely day. Their food is delicious and varied, the activities and clubs are engaging, and the opportunity to participate in worship and Bible study with fellow residents are all huge bonuses. More than anything else, the community fostered by their caring, competent and respectful staff makes this place shine! When Mom passed away this summer at 95 years young, I not only mourned her loss but began to mourn the loss of all the relationships I'd made with other residents and staff members. The community mourned the loss of both of our parents alongside us, held us up in their prayers and with their kind words and memories. They even held beautiful services for them right there on campus when each passed away. Here's the cream on top - we found a place at Hearthstone for our aunt. She's happy, safe, and had friends there before she'd even moved in!

Hearthstone at Murrayhill is the Absolute Best! The staff is amazing and so kind and caring. My mom loves all the activities, including games, exercise classes, arts and crafts, musical entertainment, and scenic drives. Everything is neat and clean; and the landscaping is beautiful! My mom is safe, happy, and thriving. Our family is grateful for everyone at Hearthstone.

Staff are caring and patient with the residents. Providing quality of care. And integrating with the residents, (encouraging them to be active in the community). And by providing daily activities from games, arts and crafts to exercise classes. And pleasant dining arrangements in either one of the two dining room's. Providing a pretty good quality of food. Including vegetarian options. And an optional menu, (other than the weekly menu). And outings, such weekly shopping trips. And transportation for doctors appointments. Also there are several different apartment styles, ranging from Studio's, 1 bed 1 bath, 2 bed 1 bath, and 2 bed 2 bath. With modern high ceilings. And care ranging from independent to assisted. And a special unit for memory care. "Where needs are met more one on one".

My mom lived here for 5+ years, 2+ in assisted living and 3+ in memory care. She passed away a year ago from complications of Alzheimers disease. The people and care provided at Hearthstone are phenomenal. I am a RN and very picky about how people are cared for emotionally and physically. My mom was cared for with the utmost respect through many stages of care needs. She was always treated and loved as if she was family, and so was my family and I. When she was in assisted living I was asked by many why I didnt have her live with me and take care of her myself. There were many practical reasons why this was not possible, but something I appreciated in hind sight was that she had a peer group at Hearthstone that I could not provide for her in my home. Just something to consider. Alzheimers is a terrible condition, but the people at Hearthstone made it bearable, even adding laughter and fun amidst some life-changing challenges.
