I moved my 92-year-old mother from Brookdale Assisted Living in Monroe to North Creek by Bonaventure on the Bothell-Everett highway in Bothell, WA. Mom’s memory was declining, and she needed memory care. The first time I took a tour of Bonaventure I was highly impressed with the facility. Just walking through the front door gave a lift to my spirits in that I was greeted with a brightly lit, newly renovated looking facility. The dining rooms looked like elegant upper-level restaurant dining. I found out they have a gourmet chef on staff and after trying their food I would agree. All the staff “ the administration, the nurses, and care aides “ even the maintenance people “ were all highly professional and personable. The facility was welcoming as well as the people who work there. Dulcie Chase, the admissions director, was very welcoming and pleasant; as was each of the receptionists and Dakota Bingham, the assistant executive director. They all give the impression that this is not just a business, it is a welcoming living space where residents are seen as people with feelings and needs. My mom, entering the end of her life with memory loss and dementia, had a couple weeks of adjustment she went through. After this adjustment period was over, she warmed up to the staff caring for her. I found the staff from the very beginning trying to make mom’s stay as pleasant as possible, looking at all her needs, and responding to my requests. They truly cared for my mother up until the time of her passing. They were with her when she passed, which I really appreciated. The staff always welcomed my presence, visits, questions and suggestions. I did not have one negative experience with any of the staff. My wife’s mother and father were also at Brookdale in Monroe until they could no longer give my father-in-law the level of care he required. We suggested Bonaventure and set it up for them to move. They were quite impressed with the facility, the food, and the care level offered to them. As of this writing my mother and father-in-law are residing there now. With my father-in-law’s new and more intensive level of care, the staff is highly responsive to our calls and the Assisted Living Director, Lara, is easy to work with. I can tell Lara really cares about her job and the people she serves. My father-in-law is now getting the end-of-life level of care that he requires. I could not be happier with the facility and the staff who care for our elderly parents. I highly recommend Bonaventure.

Update- It’s been over two years since my parents moved in to North Creek. This is a wonderful Senior Living Facility. We love that my parents are in independent living but if something were to change with their health they could transition to Assisted Living. Everyone that works here seems to genuinely care for the residents. We love the whole environment, always something fun going on too. The kitchen staff go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy fed balanced meals.

Bonaventure at North Creek has been a huge blessing for my dad and our family, since we moved him there 7 months ago. He was previously living alone and not doing well, but is now flourishing, alert and happy, since moving to Bonaventure. He is surrounded by friendly, caring staff who develop close relationships with the residents. It's a bright and positive environment. The food is healthy and tasty, with several options. My dad likes the homemade cakes and desserts too! Socrates, the main chef, Rosie, Chris and all the other kitchen staff and servers, make every resident feel special and loved. I want to also give a shout out to Debbie, Olga and Dakota, who always have a smile and laugh to share. Heather, the driver, who is caring and helpful when taking my dad to Dr. appts. The activity ladies are fun, with lots of energy and smiles for the residents, even getting some residents to dance a little when there is music entertainment. Even Bella, who does a great job cleaning the apartments. My dad tells me he feels like the staff and other residents whom he's made friends with, are his second family. He feels safe, comfortable, well fed and loved, in his new home. It makes me happy to see him being social again and enjoying himself in these later years of his life. He even jokes around with everyone and is having some fun again! I enjoy visiting him there each week and have made friends with several of the staff and residents. Thank you to everyone at Bonaventure, we are grateful for all of you!

We had to move my 100-year-old mom somewhere closer. I am so glad we found North Creek! The staff are great and mom is still in independent living with weekly maid service, two meals a day of absolutely delicious food that is mostly healthy but also provides flavor, textures, and variety. (She has gained back most of the weight she lost at her place in Arizona.) Great activities, and they worked with her doctor and insurance to get her the physical therapy she needs to improve her balance and leg strength. The grounds are lovely and we see many residents walking a loop around the building daily. Plenty of dogs to pet if you want to. Cats are welcome but stay in the apartments.

A year ago I wrote a review about Bonaventure at Northcreek, Memory Care. I praised the staff and the facility for great care and activity options. My husband, a resident of that unit, recently passed away. I have had time to reflect on the wonderful care he received, especially in this last month. The Care Staff were so diligent and attentive. Special thanks to Veena, Carolina, George, and Julia. Even the staff not directly involved in his daily care visited often and were so supportive as Hospice became involved. After his passing, it took more than an hour of tears and hugs to say goodbye to this amazing team of staff members. I cannot recommend North Creek Bonaventure more highly or with more thankfulness.

I knew when looking for a good place for my mom that quality staff would be key. I've been very happy with North Creek staff. They are engaged, friendly, caring and helpful. I've not been disappointed in any way. My mom's needs have changed a few times and they have been very responsive to keep my mom cared for based on these changes, and provide options for her to enjoy activities that she can do. The Activities staff are excellent and my mom raves about them. My mom is picky about housekeeping and food, however, North Creek does a great job on both. I like to time my visits around lunch or dinner so I can enjoy a good meal too! I recommend them highly.

Our family wished our 93 year old Dad had moved to Bonaventure much earlier than he did. The staff were uniformly kind and helpful; a program was in place to meet Dad's escalating needs.The food was great (we ate there), the facility was always spotless and fresh.Response times were swift, but I will say that Dad was under the impression that he had butlers at his beck and call, and could get impatient. His complaints stemmed from his thinking that he should have one-on-one, high priority service for every little thing. When he had been hospitalized and then shipped to "rehab," he was eager to get back to Bonaventure, because by then, it was "home" to him. I would add that if you've been part of your loved one's caregiving team, your person is still going to want your attention and support, so while the (metaphoric and actual) "heavy lifting" will be relieved for you, they're still going to want you to come "fix" the remote, etc. This phase of life is a learning curve for the whole family.

My mom has been here for 8 years. In this last year (2023-2024) it has been Amazing to see what the New Management and staff have done to get this place in great order and almost at full capacity! I am so impressed with all of the fun and well thought out activities that they treat the residents to. Every day there are plenty of fun things to do and the staff are so sweet (Johnathon!). Mom is still Independent so I can’t speak to Assisted Living and Memory Care, but she is happy and BUSY and that makes my life easier! Again, this last year or 2 has been noticeably great so thank you Bonaventure Staff!

My interaction with North Creek Bonaventure began 1 week ago. I sent in a request for a brochure (thinking I would just get one in my email) and the next day I got a phone call from Executive Director Maria. We chatted for a few minutes about why I requested a brochure. I was looking for a more permanent solution for someone who doesn’t seem to have any contact with people who can help him. She asked if I could get him to come in and take a look around and that same day him and I went and did a mini tour. It was a great experience. All the staff there were verity helpful, kind, smiling. The other residents looked happy. My friend was ready to commit to moving from a hotel to forever home. A few days later his belongings from him home were delivered and with the help of my mom and my aunt we were able to put his new home in order (for the most part) but throughout the delivery, unpacking, taking out the trash and everything else the staff had been so helpful. Lacey is amazing. They offered us meals and basically said anything we need to just ask. I feel in my heart this was a great place for my friend to go. Thank you guys again for all your help!!

My dad recently needed a facility to accompany his hospice care. Lacey and the crew there were so nice and inviting when we toured. They had a spacious, quiet room for him and we put down a deposit. Unfortunately, he took a turn for the worst and was not able to move. Not only did they send flowers to his hospital room, they returned the deposit. I will recommend them all day long!

Been here for three months and am not impressed. Management is terrible at communication. Food is institutional (low quality cuts of meat, canned everything) and service is a joke. On average it takes 30 minutes for a simple turkey sandwich and I once asked for chocolate milk and got a glass of ice water with chocolate syrup! Response times to a call for help have been as long as an hour. They are constantly understaffed and, I think, underqualified.

I have had to place my husband of 50 years in a memory care facility (dementia). It was a very difficult decision” I toured 10 facilities. Many were depressing, expensive, short on activities but I found North Creek/Bonaventure. This turned out to be just the right place. The staff here are caring, conscientious, and very kind. They offer activities in music, special dining, field trips and other crafty’ endeavors. The administrative staff are also helpful answering questions, offering suggestions. I couldn’t be more pleased and offer them my praise and thanks ” they are angels of mercy.

Staff is very friendly and tries their very best. The main problem is at meal times. It is very disorganized and long. It takes 2-3 hrs to get from sitting down to being finished. People leave before they have even eaten because they get tired of waiting. They need to get it more organized and efficient.

We have been so fortunate to find North Creek by Bonaventure Bothell in our time of need. We visited nearly every Sr Assisted Living Care facility with memory care within a 25 mile radios and from the very start North Creek stood out and set the bar for what we were looking for. I can tell you that without a doubt, this was one of the nicest facilities, but more than that, the residents and the staff all looked you in the eye and were bright eyed and full of life and spirit. How often do you see this at a Sr. Living facility. I am 100% certain that this all flows down from the amazing executive director of the facility- Jessica Lane. Jessica has to be one of the most caring and loving people I have ever met. She immediately made us feel like family and valued us, understood us, and helped us through an incredibly difficult time. I personally would not have made it through this search and move without her. Everything at North Creek is full of life and vitality thanks to Jessica. We are blessed to be able to move my father here and that they had an opening. If you need a place for a Sr loved one.... you could not do any better than North Creek by Bonaventure. You owe it to yourself and to your loved one to check this place out. 5 stars all the way from the first moment!

My aunt has been in 3 Retirement Communities since November 2016. I looked at MANY! #1 place was temporarily, while we got her moved from Idaho, and her strength back. #2 was supposed to be IT! What she wanted, a home of her own (and believe me it was gorgeous) But.... She became a recluse, and hardly any activities. Meals you only had 2 main to choose from, and some staff never mingled with the residents. North Creek wasn't on my list (by mileage, it was just outside the range). I got a call from Assistant Director, and we talked. He wanted me to just come by for a free lunch and look around. Glad I did. Prices were actually less expensive than most, but that is not why I chose it. North Creek had the most to offer. It has independent living, assisted living, and Memory Care. They thought of everything when creating the community. My aunt complained constantly about #2's food, that she never got enough. Now she says, North Creek has too much food. Lol We are educating her on the process. I've not found a community EXCEPT North Creek that has food available from 7am - 7pm. All the others have set times 7:30-9am bf, 11:30-1pm lunch, 4:30-6 dinner. At North Creek they have those same hours for specials, but you can have anything else on the menu anytime between 7-7. Shelia is a master chef, and so outgoing and friendly; she WANTS the residents to love what they eat. Each community has a community fee you pay when you go there, it pays for maintenance of the facility. At North Creek, if you were to leave, and come back yrs later, you don't have to replay the fee, it truly is a one time fee! If you've looked around, you will know that meals, cable, heat, electricity, wifi is included. However telephone is NOT. That is not the case with North Creek, you are given a telephone number, and what is even better... You don't get solicitor calls, AND your number is not listed in any directory. Awesome! Tons of activities, great staff, house keeping comes once a week, on day YOU choose. Not only do they change your bedding weekly, but based on the manufacturer instructions, they turn your mattress also! I could go on....... PLEASE take a tour, and ask the residents how they like it. I am very pleased, and my aunt is settling in very nicely.
