Home, what does that mean? It is different for each of us. Monark Grove is home for my loved one. just over a month ago, we found this sanctuary. Step inside with my brother. He immediately felt happy. The acceptance was warm and remains more so, the longer he lives here. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Each request is taken care of, with a smile. The staff goes beyond a job description in order to meet the needs of their residents. Monark is a clean, serene facility. with a pool, fitness room, dining room and activities everyday. Fresh coffee, baked cookies and fruit for the residents daily. Each resident we have met has been very gracious. Helpful to my brother in learning his way around, He is invited to sit with them at the dining table and reminds him of the activities, going walking or simply sitting outside together. There are many more reasons to call Monark Grove home. Come for a visit and you will want to make it your home.

The people here are so friendly and caring. My mom has been here for almost 3 years and loves her place. She loves her neighbors and the staff. And they love her back. She is happy to be here. UPDATE! 8/6/25 We recently had to move mom to assisted living here. The staff made her move so easy and they were very accommodating and exceeded our expectations! I visit this community a couple times. And I have to say this community is so beautiful. The staff is very attentive to all the residents and what’s even better that the staff knows each resident by name and they do not even wear name tags. They have plenty activities to keep your loves entertained. If you are looking for a place especially a memory care unit. This the perfect place for them.

I have lived here at Monark Grove for 2 years May of 2025 and love it. The apartment is roomy and the large windows let in light every day. The large bathrm is great too. We have good food and special dinners once a month like a cookout in Court yard or Pig roast in dinning rm. Lots of activities too.

Wonderful place! We met with Tara and she was so awesome!! She listened attentively as we explained our situation and how we were looking for a place for my parents close to home. She is a wealth of information and is so kind! She not only explained all of the activities Monark Grove had to offer, but also informed us about the levels of care needed for my parents (IAW Alabama medical health codes). She showed us around the facility and the rooms were quite lovely, as well as all the rest of the sitting areas and activity locations. The pool looked awesome and the restaurant (eating area) had a great menu. Made me hungry! If you're looking for a place that cares about the residents, look no further. We are going to keep Monark on the short list for when my folks need a place to live in their final life chapter.

We've been looking around for a place, and this really impressed us. First off, the facility is gorgeous, clean and well-decorated. It's big enough to promote activity, but not so big as to be a burden on residents. Mind you, I don't see how they could stay cooped up with all the great activities and food. Looks like a lot of fun. As for the independent living apartments, they're very nice! Lovely balcony, generously sized kitchenette, full washer and dryer. The closet space is a little small, but there are plenty of spaces for decorating options. All of this comes at a pretty competitive rate. Our sales director was great about answering all of our questions and helping us navigate budget-friendly options. She was just a sweetheart all around. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and clearly hard-working, which seemed to really rub off on the residents. With a comfortably remote location just off an area full of activity, I gotta say, this one's tough to beat.

Monark Grove is the place to be! We moved my grandfather in and what a difference in quality this place has made in his life. After my grandmothers passing, he had no desire to keep living. Recently moved my wife in memory care from another facility. Totally different now. She likes everything about it, food, smaller, fewer residents, caring and friendly staff and residents. Monark Grove is just what my parents needed. My family and I live halfway across the country, and with no siblings to assist, communication with my parents' physicians was exceedingly difficult as was getting the help in the home that they needed. Noelle has been a godsend; she was extremely patient as we tried to make tough decisions and take the necessary steps to get my parents into Monark Grove. She communicated with me via text evenings and weekends to let me know she was there to help with anything we needed. Lisa, the nursing director, is always available to discuss concerns and shows such compassion to my parents. Carla has been helpful with assisting with the financial side of things. Though I don't know their names, my parents report that the staff has been kind and takes initiative when needs arise. The facility is exceptionally clean and beautiful and looks like a resort. My children were able to enjoy the pool when we visited. My parents are thriving, doing so much better mentally and physically with proper med administration, great food, and social stimulation. I would highly recommend Monark Grove.

We moved our father in January 2024, Tara Bailey was instrumental in making this a smooth transition for our family. Over the last 5 months my father has flourished and has been well taken care by the staff. I have a piece knowing that my father is receiving his medications in a promptly manner and is eating three delicious meals a day. He has gained 12 pounds since his arrival. Monarch Grove has been a great decision for my father and has given me peace about our decision. If someone is wanting a place for mom/dad I personally would recommend Monark Grove. Call and ask for Tara Bailey, she is awesome to work with.

Monarck Grove - Greystone is the most beautiful facility and has every bell and whistle one could hope for to help care for your loved one. Tara Bailey and the office staff and the front desk greeter, have been patient and wonderful working with me and my Mom. Monarck Grove has a water facility, yoga room, exercise equipment that is what you would find at a physical therapist’s office. To make it even better, the food is AMAZING!! The Chef and staff are wonderful and friendly. Great place and lots of fun activities that Cindy plans for everyone.

I am a former resident of this wonderful community. I must say that some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life were a part of the staff at this facility. They made me feel like family. Marquis, the head chef along with the entire dining room staff treated me so very well. They were all very personable and supportive. Thank you to everyone who made my experience a positive one. I can truly say that the best experience I had was with Transportation. Lawanna made sure we were safe, comfortable and on time to all of our appointments and outings. I have never seen anyone with so much patience dealing with so many different people with many different health issues and needs She is the epitome of total grace under pressure. This beautiful young lady made us feel so important and special weather she drove us in the bus or in the car. She made sure everyone was well taken care of. I can honestly say she was the absolute best part of my experience living at Monark Grove! I just want to say thank you to Ms.Lawanna. You are a very special person. Monark Grove is extremely lucky to have such a dedicated employee. She is so empathetic, kind and professional. Thank you Ms. Lawanna, I will remember you always! I’m very satisfied as a resident here at Monark Grove Greystone. Markiese, lead chef and the two cooks Teresa and Sharon do a fantastic job and they are very accommodating. Tasha, my housekeeper does a great job cleaning my apartment each week. Transportation could be a little better. I was the fourth resident to move into this community. Brandon the director does and outstanding job and we all glad he’s here!

They have a great staff of nurses and aids that attend to her needs, provide excellent food, and lots of activities (including church services and outings). It's also a beautiful, well-managed facility--always clean and the grounds are well kept. I highly recommend Monark Grove for assisted living!

So many of these reviews are written by residents or employees told to do so that I hesitate to write a truthful review. The first six months I lived here was like living in a 5 star hotel. Residents were all kind, considerate and cared about each other.That all changed first part of 2021. A few people have been allowed to make others feel like they are not included and actually they are not. I made a decision to move out and I feel it was a right decision for me. Dining needs improvement because of what management has allowed to happen. This could easily be corrected with stronger management. I am thankful that I stayed as long as I did. I made some forever friends that would not have happened otherwise. For this I am grateful. I loved my home and felt very secure there. Hopefully the problems will be corrected soon. Employees are constantly changing. Maybe this needs to be looked into.

After a long battle with Covid, our mom was in need of a handicap-accessible apartment. We looked at several communities in our area, and decided upon Bluffs at Greystone. This is a beautiful new senior living community that is packed with amenities. Most importantly, the employees have gone above and beyond to ensure Mom's new home is perfect for her. They deserve 5++ stars!
