On behalf of our family, I want to say a bigger than big "thank you" to all the LSS staff family for the outstanding, "above and beyond the call" service during the last few weeks. My Mom, Glenda Earline Handsel, has been a resident in Assisted Living for the last 6 months and independent living for ten months prior to that. In that time, we have been so pleased with the care she has received. From her transition to Assisted Living to now, we have seen the exceptional service provided by not only yourself, but every staff member we have encountered. This kind of service is routine on a daily basis, but what we saw over the last two weeks during Hurricane Helena and Hurricane Milton, has been extraordinary. To say that the staff of LSS "kicked it up a notch" to sacrificially serve their residents during a time of intense stress is an understatement. Thank you! Thank you for the limitless hours you gave to residents to assure them and their families they would have everything they needed during these storms. Thank you for giving 24/7, round the clock attention to the needs of others, even bringing your furry family members to spend the night so you didn't have to risk leaving them home. Thank you for bringing out the electric frying pan to make sure residents had freshly made eggs! Thank you for providing entertainment and snacks as distractions to the storm and stress. Thank you for the phone calls, the town meetings, the emails, the posts to the app to keep family members informed that were not at the facility. Thank you for the ability to keep staff members on site so the residents had the security of seeing their same caregivers during the storms. Thank you for the untold hours of behind the scenes work, including putting up and taking down cots, window coverings, etc. to make the residents more comfortable and felt more safe. I am sure there are many, many other things that I didn't witness as well, and for those, thank you! We will always be grateful and appreciative of the sacrificial care the staff at Lake Seminole Square offers their residents. As all of our area strives to recover from an exhausting and emotionally difficult season, it is our hope that each one knows they are making a difference by their kindness and care at LSS.

My husband and I were visiting one of your residents (Rosemary Westbrook) who was celebrating her 100th birthday on the 15th! We have been to Lake Seminole Square on several occasions and we are always impressed with the impeccable atmosphere of this facility - always clean, friendly and inviting! My mom has lived at Lake Seminole Square since 2016. She started in a beautiful apartment in Independent Living and now lives in an equally lovely apartment in Assisted Living. Throughout her stay, she has enjoyed services and care suited personally to her needs. In independent living she continued her active lifestyle and made many friends. As she needed more care, assisted living afforded her independence and then attentive care. While the apartments, public areas and lakeside landscapes are impressive, the true gems of the place are the staff who are caring, hard working and very skilled. They make it a warm place where residents and their families, feel valued and well cared for.

We always joked we would move to a cruise ship when we retired. Lake Seminole has the amenities and benefits of a cruise ship without sea sickness it the anxiety of a medical emergency. Every day we choose from exercise classes and games. Dancing. Boat Rides trips and shopping. It is alike a camp for seniors only no one mocks you if you take a nap. This is the best decision we could have made

I have a 91 year old Uncle that has been at this Fantastic Facility for a year now, and I could not be happier with the care he has received. From the wonderful Lady that introduced us, to the amazing Gals at the front desk, to the nursing and medication folks that we couldn't do with out! LSS... as I like to refer it, is the BEST place to be. It's like a 5 Star Hotel. From the minute you walk in the door and see the gorgeous foyer with a spiral stair case that takes you to a Delicious Bistro, LSS has EVERTHING you could ask for! From the indoor swimming pool to the outdoor pavilion that was being installed when my Uncle moved in. They are constantly upgrading, and adding additional amenities for their residents pleasure and enjoyment! I could go on and on about how wonderful I think LSS is. The employees are all caring, kind, and what really blows my mind is they "know" all the residents! Not just by last name... my Uncle is greeted by name. Also, check out their meals too! Like I mentioned 5 STAR all the way! Our Family and my Uncle are very happy we found Lake Seminole Square!

As an immunocompromised person, Lake Seminole Square provides me a bubble of safety. There are ways for me to stay safe in most situations, allowing me to have a social life while still protecting myself. The staff is very caring, the food is excellent, and the view of the lake from my window puts a smile on my face. Chef Devin and his staff create a wonderful variety of foods. They experiment and use new recipes that excite the taste buds. Thank you, Chef Devin and all of the dining staff!

Lake Seminole Square, a beautiful place to call "Home." Now you can live a carefree life. It's time to relax and enjoy your golden years, you deserve it! If you have a senior loved one, this is where they need to be, living in their own condo. There is nothing more depressing than living in one room, in a senior facility. This room is your bedroom and you go to the dining room for meals. Because we live in our condo we feel like we still have our home with kitchen, dining & living room, bedroom and porch. We have no worries and we live longer because we are happy. It's refreshing to take a walk around the building, enjoy the lake view and sit on the benches at the beautiful Water's Edge. Worry no more about a leaking roof, your air-conditioner breaking down, appliances that suddenly stop working, etc. No more never ending mortgage or utility payments. You can even get rid of your car and those monthly payments. Transportation will take you to medical and business appointments, also grocery stores, malls, etc. LSS has many dining rooms each with a different theme. They are elegant with white tablecloth and black cloth napkins in a silver ring and a vase with live flowers. Our gourmet meals are a great bargain and we have a special menu on holidays. There are lots of activities: daily exercise classes, ballroom dancing and a weekly happy hour.

5-STARS, PLUS......My wife and I have lived at Lake Seminole Square (LSS) for almost 12 years. And my initial comment when we took our first tour was that “it’s like a cruise ship on shore”. It has everything a cruise ship has and more, except it’s not surrounded by water (but it is on a lake), nor does it have a casino (but they provide free bus trips to the local casino). We have weekly professional entertainment from outside entertainers, current movies, an internal television station which gives daily updates on activities--just like a cruise ship, holiday and resident parties, happy hours, indoor heated pool with organized exercise periods, a fully equipment gym, organized sporting activities (i.e., WII Bowling, Bocce Ball, Corn Hole), putting greens, shuffleboard court, fully stocked library, a dock with a gazebo (for fishing or relaxing), with a pontoon boat for rides on the lake, 24-hour front desk concierge, outstanding dining with several meal choices, emergency alert/alarm system, fire control systems and alerts, security cameras, beautiful landscaping with small gardens, weekly landscaping service, reserved parking areas, free bus and/or private car transportation for local visits or trips to entertainment venues, weekly housekeeping, water, electricity, sanitation, sewage, and basic cable TV all included, on-site medical office, on-site barber and beauty shop, on-site maintenance staff, and paid property taxes. ALL THE ABOVE IS INCLUDED IN YOUR ONCE MONTHLY FEE EXCEPT FOR OUTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT VENUES WHICH MAY CHARGE ENTRY FEES. No other separate bills to pay except for phone/internet service and, unlike your own home or condo, you only must pay insurance for your own personal property. Time share and resort communities have tried to convince us to join them, and we tell them, we already have everything that they can provide, and more. THERE IS NO COMPARISON! THIS IS THE BEST RETIREMENT COMMUNITY IN THE WORLD!!!

My morning walks at my home, Lake Seminole Square, include a newly landscaped area at the lake’s edge. While the plantings add beauty, my main delight is the variety of wildlife: eagles, marsh rabbits, osprey, roseate spoonbills, turtles, so many squirrels and songbirds. I walk refreshed and restored just steps from my condo in our densely populated county. Then I look forward to the day’s opportunities.

I have lived here 11 1/2 years. It is the best decision I have ever made. This place is the best thing you could ever imagine. We are always busy! We can do all they have or just keep to yourself. your choice. We go by our buses to exhibits, dinner, theater and much more. We have an in-house channel, so we can review what is going on. It also offers movies every day. They bring in all kinds of entertainment every week We have 5 dining rooms and a Bistro for breakfast or lunch if we desire. We have weekly housekeeping and someone who takes care of repairs. What else could you want. It has been called cruise to nowhere.

I recently moved to Lake Seminole Square after researching life care retirement communities for nearly 10 years. I worked with Debbie Empey from marketing for 4 years before she found the perfect condo for me. This is the best decision I've every made! Being in my early 70s and single, I didn't want the state of Florida making decisions for me. Additionally, I did not want to wait until I could barely walk before moving; didn't want to miss out on all the activities. Jamie Giammona, Move in Specialist, helped me select the decorating, even suggesting a contrast wall (I chose red). She also suggested a mover who was so good, the condo I moved out of wanted their name and number. While researching I asked a woman who had been here for several years if she had any negatives, "There's just not enough time to do all the things they offer here," she replied. Living at LSS is like living in a 5 star hotel, weekly housekeeping with linens, daily meals delivered to your door if you choose, happy hours, parties, and I could go on and on. But the most important aspect of this place is the congeniality of the staff and the residents. Who wouldn't want to leave the cleaning and cooking up to someone else and enjoy the camaraderie of neighbors? It's a proven fact that those living in congregate living communities live longer and happier.

Wife and I have lived here almost exactly one year now...and its hard to imaging anything better. One would never guess that the building is 30 years old. It is very clean and kept up to date. It was well designed. Poured concrete walls add structural strength and minimize noise transmission from neighboring units. Perhaps best of all, everything is under one roof...no need to go to another building for anything. The pool is indoors so you dont bake in the summer heat. The building is some 50 feet above sea level so the threat of flood damage is minimized. The staff is outstanding. They bend over backwards to please the residents. The food is excellent and there is a wide variety of menu choices. Satisfying the taste preferences of over 300 people is surely a major challenge, but they make every effort to accommodate individual requests. There are many activities in the building and ample excursions away, as well. Being here is like living at a luxury hotel...or, as many describe it, like living on a cruise ship that doesnt leave port.

Very happy living here. Wife and I just celebrated 11 years of independent living residency. Received more than we bargained for in menu, decor and building improvements. If your desires and abilities allow, daily activities keep you fit, sociable and mentally active. On site mini market, pool and therapy department are especially convenient.Very friendly staff, with relatively low turnover.Any service you may need can be provided, for a fee, for ageing in place, which most seniors hope to do. It is an all in one building Florida licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community.

I have lived at Lake Seminole Square now for almost four years and could not think of a better place to live. I wonder sometime why people will wait such a long time before making this kind of move. There is so much offered activities, everything from dinners out, concerts, Broadway shows and many more. You also receive cleaning services including all needed linens. The meals are wonderful. We even have a pontoon boat and rides on the Lake Seminole.Another advantage is the transportation, everything from busses that make regular runs, to trips to doctors offices, etc. I must say that the best thing about LSS is the people, from the other residents to the staff it is what makes LSS the best place in the WORLD.

Have to be careful as you will need rental insurance as you have to watch your loved ones belongings,. Parent has had many items stolen. Even though police reports were done and items reported there are no security cams in common areas to protect the resident with who goes in and out of their room. All the aides, nurses, and staff have keys to enter rooms even if your loved one lock their doors when they leave.
