We moved my dad here in March and it's been wonderful. The staff remembers his name, which sounds small but means everything when you're trusting strangers with your parent. His apartment is bigger than we expected ” he's got a balcony overlooking the courtyard and he sits out there every morning with his coffee. The dining room feels like a real restaurant, not a cafeteria. He's made friends at the bar (The Upper Deck) and joined a writing group he won't stop talking about. Honestly, after touring six places in Broward County, this was the only one where my dad said "I could live here" within the first five minutes. That told us everything.

While we did not end up placing my father at The Pointe at Deerfield for logistical reasons (proximity), I wanted to take a moment to write a review that might be helpful to others who are in the process of searching for an appropriate assisted living home for their loved one. First of all, the Sales Director Daniel, who in reality is more "Cruise Director" than salesperson, is a warm, talented and competent professional. He is clearly a major part of this very vibrant independent and assisted living facility. And that, I would say to people searching for a good home for their loved one is of critical importance - is this place vibrant, fun and full of life? From all indications, we would say yes! This recently updated and modern facility is a winner. It is also obvious that staff cares deeply for its clients and there is minimal staff turnover. That speaks highly of management. It is also located in a quiet and beautiful spot. It's worth serious consideration.

Daniel makes me give this review five stars without hesitation. I am at the beginning of my search gathering information for an aging relative. From the moment I contacted Daniel he has amazing interpersonal and Customer Service skills. Calls you right back sends you information via email immediately was going above and beyond sending me videos of a possible short term room so I could share it with my relative. I was able to see him and make an appointment quickly. When I arrived. There was a sign with my name on it at the front desk welcoming me. Daniel introduced me to everybody was extremely knowledgeable super kind about the situation and as we walked through the facility and residences, you could tell the residence had a really lovely relationship with him. This is not an easy process, but Daniel made it easier.

The Independent Living section of The Forum is a very nice place and I would recommend it - the staff engages with the residents and the atmosphere is positive and inviting. They have fun and inviting activities and are kind and accepting. Stacia is off the charts - she is a lovely, compassionate and caring lady who thrives on showing love and inclusiveness to the residents. Mom truly enjoyed it there. I cannot, however, endorse the Assisted Living portion of the facility aside from a few employees. The director there is chilly and does not at all display the compassion and empathy required to run an assisted living facility - all of which trickles down to the staff. It is evident why the capacity of the ALF section is less than 30-40%. There are, however, a few outstanding folks there - Jeanette, the activities director, is absolutely fantastic - enthusiastic and endearing...always does her best to engage the residents and succeeds. She treated Mom with dignity and respect...and made her laugh, which is invaluable to aging seniors! Leigh (nurse) is kind and Doris (resident care assistant) is sensational and always kind and loving - her smile lights up a room. Karen in the dining room is another superb lady. These people truly "get it" and work with the population where they are both physically and mentally. The aging process strips folks of many things...their pride diminishes greatly. They require support, love and kindness...even when they're at the worst. It is my hope that the new management company is able to recognize this so as to increase the census in the Assisted Living portion of this facility.

My mother recently moved into the Assisted Living section at The Forum. She is very happy living in her apartment. She particularly loves the roomy size and her Balcony. Shes involved with many activities, enjoys the food and the friendly caring staff. The nurses efficiently keep up with her care. I highly recommend The Forum.

We moved my Mom into The Forum 1.5 years ago and were immediately impressed at how great not only the staff is, but the facility itself. They recently just completed a renovation indoors (from carpeting to artwork) and it looks so fresh and clean. We are really happy she is there (and so is she!).

We recently met with Dan and toured the property so we could educate ourselves on senior living options for a family member and he was absolutely amazing, he made what was an awkward and stressful time very comfortable while also educating us on the very clean and well kept property and it’s amenities. The property checked all the boxes, even features amenities that we did not even expect or require!

After months of looking for an Independent living situation for my wife’s sister we discovered The Forum at Deer Creek. Our first visit was unannounced, and not an appointment. It was a drive-by and a decision to stop and ask for some information. The immediate impression and greeting was amazing. The receptionist made a call to Stacie. It was a Sunday afternoon. Stacie greeted us and immediately took us on a tour. She spent more than an hour with us. Friendly. Knowledgeable and understanding of the need. That first visit lead us to a number of additional visits and meetings with Dan Rizzi. Dan reached out to us early the next week, and in person meeting with Dan, Mary Rose and Kathleen. Each meeting was solid and gave us the confidence that The Forum was the place. We visited with my wife’s sister several times each with lunch, and an addition visit with a close friend. Each visit was positive and reconfirming. The facility is bright, clean, well organized with an amazing monthly schedule of activities. The food is 5-Star! Have to sayreally good! The apartments are well maintained and the entire facility is kept very well. The hallways and all remodeled, and smell fresh and clean. The common areas are all well maintained and in use by residents. Residents are welcoming as well. Dan, Stacie, Mary Rose and Kathleen are a great team. The Deer Creek area of Deerfield Beach is a gem of a location. Super close to Boca and on the Deer Creek golf course ( where you can get a nice lunch or dinner). Peaceful, and beautiful grounds. Make sure to visit The Forum and Deer Creek, a decision like this is super important for the entire family. So pleased we are part of The Forum at Deer Creek family!

My name is Al and I live at The Forum at Deer Creek Independnet Living facility, and recently experienced a problem that caused me to prepare to move & give my notice after almost 4 years. I spoke to Kathy Marciante, Executive Director, to explain my situation. She asked for a couple days to resolve and called me back with a great solution. I was elated to find that in spite of how busy Kathy is with all her responsibilities, she found a solution that met my needs and also helped many other residents with similar issues. I want to congratulate them for the quality of the leadership here. I will no longer be considering moving from what is now our home

My mother has been at the Forum since 2017 and is currently an Assisted Living resident. The care that my mother receives is excellent. Cindy Mesalien, Director of Health and Wellness, and her staff provide a clean, safe and caring environment. Cindy's door is always open and she is available to address any questions I may have. The nursing and aid staff are competent and goes out of their way to see that my mother is well taken care of. The work they do is not easy & I am grateful for their caring manner. Daily activities are planned & overseen by Jeanette McIntosh who is truly an angel. She exhibits a loving, understanding, compassionate, & kind spirit. My mother loves her. The Executive Director, Kathy Marciante, is also available and willing to address any concerns I have had over the years. Her approach is very personalized & follow up is excellent. Finally, the recent refresh the facility underwent with new paint, wall paper, carpet and furniture has been a breath of fresh air. I would highly recommend the Forum to anyone considering either Independent of Assisted Living for their family members.

My wife Wendy and I moved 1 1/2 years ago into The Forum’s Independent Living program. We have experienced complete satisfaction with our expectations. The residents generally offer smiles and hellos in passing especially at the many different activities. The food program has exceeded our expectations. Management does respond promptly to our requests and suggestions. Kathy Marciante, the Executive Director is a pleasure to deal with. Her management staff from the Assistant Director, Cullinary management team, Maintenance and Housekeeping teams are all doing a good job. Overall Wendy and I would be happy to meet anyone interested in learning more about the Forum at Deer Creek.

We looked at many, many assisted living facilities for our Dad from Parkland to Delray and the Forum checked every box that we all had. It is not an easy task but I can't say enough thank you's to the great people at The Forum at Deer Creek, especially Mary Rose who made this difficult experience so easy, right from the first phone call she put my concerns at ease. Mary Rose even sent my Sister, who lives in California, a photo of his first night (attached) to put her mind at ease while she was dealing w/ being evacuated from the fires in LA. The Forum is very lucky to have Mary Rose as one of their representatives. I would also like to mention that every employee, from the front desk to maintenance made this transition a great experience. The nurses and aides are incredible and extremely helpful. All of the residents I interacted with were very welcoming and will be great neighbors to our Dad. We truly feel that he will be well taken care of while still having some independence. More importantly our Dad likes his new residence, loves the steak n cheese sandwich for lunch but the scallops, not so much. LOL LOL LOL

Our family has been treated with compassion and understanding with transitioning our father-in-law from his home into an apartment at the Forum. Mary Rose went well above and beyond to assist in every way possibly and has been exceptionally passionate about making sure he adjusts well to his new home. Mary Rose truly has his best interest at heart. Daniel was also very helpful and informative and helped my FIL understand he would be part of a community rather than just living in an apartment. Making such a huge life change is not easy, but the Forum is beautiful and welcoming. The residents we've met have been very kind and are eager to strike up a conversation. There are a lot of activities offered and the dining room has many daily offerings, and our FIL has spoken very highly of the meals he's enjoyed. Our family would highly recommend the Forum. My mother in law leaves at the Forum's independent living, so I recommended the place to my friends, two sisters in their early 80s. I made an appointment with Mary Rose B. What an excellent experience. Mary Rose was very knowledgeable and forthright in all of her answers. After going through the many offerings like fitness center, physical therapy center, library, card room, hair salon, entertainment venues, swimming pool, outside areas, we had a tour of two units that met the sisters' criteria. We were invited for lunch at the Forum, and had a delicious meal. Everyone was professional and courteous, and ready to entertain any concerns. The result is that they now have the Forum as the Number 1 location in their list. Thank you Mary Rose.

Mary Rose from the leasing office is one of the kindest people I have met. She went over and above to help my family find the perfect apartment for our mother. Prior to mother’s move in date, Mary Rose arranged lunch in the dining room to introduce her to some of the current residents with similar interests. Once mother moved in, Mary Rose continued to check in to help her get settled into her apartment and coordinate getting her to activities. Currently, mother is meeting residents and participating in activities at The Forum. She is enjoying the variety of food in the dining room and happy to have someone else do the cooking! The overall atmosphere is pleasant and happy. This includes the residents and the staff. Stacia from resident services always has a smile and checks in to make sure mother is doing well. My family is thankful to know our mother is thriving in a safe, happy environment with staff that genuinely care about the residents.

This was a horrible independent and assisted living. I DO NOT recommend this place. My grandmother lived there for 15 years. This independent living was full of uncaring and unloving staff. My grandmothers ring was stolen (nobody cared), she explained how the lady took it from her hand. The response of the facility was “maybe your grandmother is mistaken.” An employee was in her apartment at 4:00AM going through her stuff, the facility’s response was, “maybe your grandmother is demented and needs assisted living.” They were absolutely disgusting. The food was poor quality and institutionalized. For the high cost of living, this was really sad.

We are thrilled that we made the decision to move to The Forum at Deer Creek. The residents are friendly and have made us feel at home. The staff have been unbelievably helpful. Mary Rose Blosser has held three Housewarming luncheons in the Private Dining Room for me and my friends. The first was a luncheon for 8 of my bridge group. The second luncheon was for 8 of my Mah Jongg group. In each of those cases, Mary Rose arranged tables for us to play bridge or Mah Jongg after the lunch was over. She then hosted my Book Club group. We had our book discussion around the lunch table, as was our routine. For all three luncheons, she prepared gift packages for each person that included a brochure with floor plans and general information about The Forum at Deer Creek. While we were eating the women asked questions about The Forum and Five Star which Mary Rose was able to answer. She has now offered the Private Dining Room as a meeting place for the Book Club to use for our monthly meetings. My friends have been very impressed with the facilities, the food, and the general warm atmosphere and they all loved coming to our apartment to see how we are living.

The facility is beautiful and offers great independent living for aging family members including socialization. Please make sure you view the apartments well before signing. Please make sure the apartment is the right fit for you or your family . This company's main Goal is occupancy and financial gain. Once you sign and write the check they have no time for you including a lot of maintenance issues like leaking shower.... running toilet..... broken AC. Cracked cermaic/glass stove. Messy flooring hazards. Yes sll this happened to mg mother Including athe wrong apartment fit. In addition The forum dales reps syrkngly oushed a moving company Estate jome services. Iwner Trish McCarty and side kick Bob. Worst ever. Sloppy unprofessional. They ganged up on her when moving asking her multiple questions in different rooms then vonstantly telling her to move out of the way. They told my mom wait a couple hours then come. It will be set up like you lived tfere already. The move started at 840 and by 430 pm still not done. My mom didnt kike the set up and Bob ( the bully,) refused to move things to her liking. Told her the furniture was placed in the standard style. The next dsy Her dresser drawers wouldnt open because it was turned on its side in the Rented U haul... spilling out her items behind the drawers. I called and Trish was mouthy and defensive and reluctant to come back back. Took 3 weeks and several calls and texts. Trish works to get tips. Spending time cleaning instead of moving. Tgsts my rant . Be advised I work in healthcare acute and long term and I know my business. Beware.

The gripes: Wait staff in the cafeteria/restaurant is always turning over. They forget 2 out of 5 things you order, without fail. Even bringing water to the table is a 50/50. Dishes, glassware, and silverware are poorly cleaned, often containing lipstick from previous users. Apartments are very dated. Rates go up every year, and are lower for new residents than for those who have been there for 10 years. New security policy requires visitors to enter through the front doors, but visitors' parking is in the back of the building. Two computers offered for residents are never working; one has even been missing a monitor for months. Internet service is not included. TV service is Limited and low-quality. Reports of Staff stealing from residents' apartments. Phone service goes out for days at a time every few weeks. The good: Location? Residents are friendly? Not enough good things to say. Lost a key senior staff person to retirement and things have been downhill since. Director doesnt care about and takes no action regarding residents' concerns.

The nursing staff makes sure she is always well cared for. Christopher Robins the Marketing Director was so helpful. He took care of all of my mother's needs and still does to this day. He knows all of the residents by name. The food here is also fantastic. A+++++

Not exactly a warm and fuzzy place. Stacy is nice, but it's basically a fussy, stuffy, "full of rules" place. My mother said the food was good.
