The five stars in this review are for the outstanding Activities Director who Las Brisas had, but lost about a month ago. During her tenure there, Ms. Prachi outwardly transformed the activities room into a bright, cheerful place, exhibiting such things as residents’ art and puzzle works. She organized several opportunities for the celebration of different holidays to include residents’ family members. Prachi even worked out the weekly donation of many fresh flowers from local businesses, which were then rearranged in vases and placed in various spots around the facility for everyone to enjoy. I personally appreciated the fresh bouquet at the entrance every Thursday when I came to visit. During a period of warm weather earlier this year, Prachi arranged for a colorful vending truck to park at the entrance and offer everyone a variety of flavors of cooling snow cones! She was so innovative and creative. In all my personal interaction with Prachi, I found her to be a person of high integrity with a heart that really cared for the residents. Too sad that she is no longer at Las Brisas.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the commitment to dignity, comfort, and genuine concern for each resident’s well-being. The staff is attentive, professional, and kind, always taking the time to listen and provide personalized care. The therapy team is knowledgeable and encouraging, helping patients regain strength and confidence while celebrating every milestone along the way. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, creating a peaceful environment that promotes healing and recovery. Families are kept informed and included, which brings great comfort during what can be a challenging time. We are deeply grateful for the care, respect, and support provided at Las Brisas. I’m only giving it a 2 because I knew someone who worked there that had referred me there and there was a lot of sweet people. I lasted there about less than 24hours. By far the worst treatment I’ve ever received in that short of time. Charge nurse Victoria stole my home meds and the prescriptions she got filled from Medical City Las Colinas. She had them filled and refused to give them to me after she called 99. They left the back door open to my room refused to give me any scheduled meds including blood thinners and antibiotics. She stole my prescription narcotic meds or most of them. The police and firemen had to help me out because she was obsessed with trying to break me down. I had panick attacks and severe pain most of the day due to her bullying and threats. I have never in life been bullied to that point at any facility and I’m so grateful I got out of there safely. She is a liar manipulator thief and was planning on stealing the jewelry I had also have she ripped up the paperwork proving what I had brought with me. She kept antagonising me to leave after she took all my meds. She should not have a nurse license. I called to speak to her supervisors but was informed they all know the situation and that I’ll just have to wait it out. Wait out starvation and no meds and severe mental and emotional abuse that I recorded all on camera and my friend recorded also. It started with her lying and saying she was going to lie in a report and she said btw I’m recording this. My friend said so am I so then I said ok great I’m recording now too. When she found out I expose people like her on the internet to a large audience and after hours of her abuse and threats. She then came and tried to intimidate me more by calling the police. However she got got scared to talk to them so I spoke to them and told them what happened. After a stand off I signed ama and tok the few pills she left me of what I brought not including any new prescriptions. Btw she said they had none of my meds and would not be giving me anything several times. And then made me sign out ama. So she’s using her license to further traumatize trauma survivors. I was shot and paralyzed protecting my daughter from being shot by my ex boyfriend. I pray God handle her as he should and no one else ever go through this again. The girl Shawn is the one who took photos and listed everything I have of value and had me sign. Victoria brought the signed paper to me and ripped it up in my face. She thinks she’s too big for her britches

I have to admit, after reading some of the less than stellar reviews, I was hesitant to place my loved one here, but after touring and meeting Ashlynn in admissions and JD the administrator I gave it a shot, and I am so happy I did! My brother has not only got a beautiful room with access to a courtyard, but he also gets to engage in lots of activities throughout the day and the food is good. 5 stars just isn’t enough. Thank you to the team at Las Brisas!

My grandmother was in this facility for a year until she passed away last month. The staff was so caring and loving! Her nurse, Teela, was exceptional and so compassionate. She walked us through the process, kept us up to date, and called us so we could be by her side in her last moments. She made a difficult time for us much easier. The kitchen staff even provided us with food and beverages while we were with her at the end since we didn't want to leave her side. My dad is having surgery soon and we have all decided he will go to Las Brisas for therapy if they decide he needs in patient stay after his surgery.

My mom has been a resident at Las Brisas for 3 months. From the moment she arrived, we have been so impressed with the level of care and compassion shown by the entire staff. A special thank you to all the nursing staff for their incredible kindness and patience. The team has consistently kept us informed about my mom's health, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing she is in such caring hands. The facility is always clean, and the staff works hard to create a welcoming atmosphere. We are so grateful.

I thought this would be a nice safe place for my mom. At first they tried to work with me. Now there's ony a few people that really care about their patients. My mother is on Hospice and if it wasn't for them I would have no idea how my mom is doing. They overcharged since last year. Betty,Linda,Shirley and Victoria are the only caregivers that help. I wish I would have had an alternative.

It's taken me 7 months since my discharge to write a review about my experience in this facility and how I was treated during my discharge . Once my husband was able to talk to someone , the staff was helpful and friendly but was led to believe that there would be more rehab than what was offered . The rooms were clean and roomy . In the 18 days I was admitted for physical rehab there was no schedule for my therapy . I would be snatched at a moments notice without assistance from staff with basic hygiene and had to wait for a later time because I was never ready for therapy .I received less than 10 hours of rehab including occupational therapy in 18 days and one of the days was a make up day because of staffing illness . My meals were not served at proper temperatures per Dallas county health department regulations/ food handling . My trays would sit in the rack out in the hallway sometimes for over an hour and when I would say something about my food being cold the staff would tell me that they would microwave it . I had kept a log of the temps and discussed it with the department head and it fell on deaf ears . I was not given a menu or how their meals are given or a choice of a menu .I Couldn't get the nursing staff to give me my gastric medication before my morning meal per doctor's instructions . After being given the news by the human resource director that United Healthcare wasn't going to pay for my rehab because I wasn't showing any improvement ,Las Brisas sent me home without any medical equipment and I had to be assisted in my home by the Grand Prairie fire department . I had no assistance from staff getting into the car leaving the facility and did not sign discharge paperwork or was given any paperwork . During my stay I did not use the walker one time to walk from my bed to the bathroom to urinate or other and was not able to straighten my right leg from hip down . I spent most of my time at Las Brisas in my bed in a diaper ( when they didn't run out ) waiting to be changed . I am giving a 2 star rating only because they do have some dedicated staff there that have given me some comfort during my stay . Communication is terrible between shifts and dept... For example, I had a doctor's appt and no one knew I left and the arrangements were from the facility . Nurses were looking for me and finally found the notes . I sat in a wet diaper after returning to the facility for over 3 hours before I was able to get a nurse to change me . That's 7 hours being in a diaper ! As much as you got paid from United Healthcare you can do way better than this !

I am impressed with Las Brisas. Alizae, the social worker has been very kind as well as the rest of the staff helping me with all the details of getting my mother situated. As far as my mother, she is always smiling now, says she is happy and has made new friends. It is a load off my mind knowing my mother is happy and in a safe environment.

I came in to Las Brisas from a long hospital illness. Very weak and my spirit broken. In 2.5 weeks, my spirits have been lifted and I have been having excellent physical therapy. The nurses and aides have been so kind and professional. I owe them a gratitude of thanks. The activity director has encouraged me to be active in all activities and she has been so much fun. She does a fabulous job. My thanks go out to the rehab director for all his expertise and attention. My thanks go out to all staff in the physical therapy department. The social worker has come to my rescue several times and I thank her very much. Overall, I would highly recommend Las Brisas.

This was my second visit and it was just as amazing as the first. My entrance was very dramatic but a nurse named Shannon and a helper named Linda saved my life. Without them I wouldn't be here. My caregivers were just as essential. My nurse Victoria dealt with all my illnesses with a smile. My CNAs Tashina, Emoni, Carol, and Tammy gave tender and kind care. They were always well mannered and concerned with my well being. Zoe in dietary knew I had problems eating the food, and so she came to me and asked what I would eat. She made food for me and even premade it for when she had days off. My therapists, Andrew, Justin, and Arlisha undertook the enormous task of getting me walking again. There were many more people not named here who have been nothing but wonderful to me. This is the place to go!

The activities director and team are awesome! My father has opened up tremendously along his memory care journey. Over the past year I’ve seen him become more mobile and engaging with his neighbors. That was our families biggest fear that being in a nursing home our Dad would be lonely and depressed. It’s been just the opposite and his activity time is a big part.

I can’t imagine what would happen if we didn’t continue to check on my Nephew. We have to ask to have his mattress sanitized if not they have been putting clean sheets on the bed and he’s been sleeping in it... DISGUSTING! it Reeks of urine. Piles of wet bedding that is piled up in the restroom. This is negeglitionon on their part. How simple is it to order trash cans for all the residents, we have had to ask all the time for his trash can because it disappears. It’s sad that people don’t take pride in workplace. It appears that if they are not asked to do their job they won’t. Where are the expectations from the Leadership and why do they continue to lower the bar? Where’s the pride? IF YOU HAVE FAMILY THERE PLEASE CHECK ON THEM.

Las Brisas is a nice facility with caring people working there. The caregivers and nurses stay busy and try to meet the needs of families and residents. The administrator is attentive and shows compassion. She treats people with respect and has a caring heart. Any place can just look nice from the outside, but Las Brisas is well kept and clean and has a good team in place.

Very nice building structure for a new business. I'm currently living here and my main complaint is the fact that if you are in distress in need of a nurse and press the call light it's a guarantee they won't come, you might as dial dial 911 to contact them for a patient in distress, I can't say how true and awful that is to say.

I'm here for rehabilitation for 4 days now and i have been given wonderful care and will soon be here for long term. The building structure is absolutely beautiful, nurses are kind and attentive when when they think you need it. If I had to complain it would be the service of a call light, well they don't particularly answer call lights especially if you are in distress and need them right away, keep your phone close you may need to call 911, before they get there, which is not exaggerated. Recommendations absolutely.

Finally Home! After a year of neglect and very poor treatment in 2 separate facilities in the Dallas area, my 87-year old mother is now under the extraordinary care of the Las Brisas care team. The Executive Director David and Connie, the Director of Nursing are both compassionate clinicians who are out of their offices with the residents and engaging families every step of the way. Our first intro to Las Brisas was with David followed by Connie while in other facilities, I've never met the ED or the DON. The nurses and care team members repeatedly say that the reason they travel to Las Brisas from all over the metro area is to work for David and Connie because they are excellent leaders who are passionate caregivers and create a warm culture of teamwork. The therapy team is professionally curious and committed to pushing residents to their best potential during speech, occupational and physical therapy visits. The facility and grounds are bright and pristine. I travel 40 minutes one-way to visit my mother at Las Brisas while passing MANY other long term care facilities. The drive is well-worth it to see my mother in a place where she is receiving exceptional care. My mother is happy and feels safe in her new home at Las Brisas.

My sister was admited to Las Brisas about 3 weeks ago from Baylor Irving hospital to recover after a fall and subsequent surgery. I wanted to recognize this faciitly for a number of reasons. So many people that work here are compassionate, act quickly when a concern arises, and truly seem to care about how things are run and patients satisfaction. The staff including the Director David has been super responsive to some recent issues with food at the facilty,. He has pesonally gotten involved and has even gone to personally visit with my sister regarding her food(and I wanted to point out not an easy task because my sister is a super picky eater). Then there is the Dosha, the assistant director of nursing that is extremely pleasant to work with and quick to act on anything that needs to be addressed wtih the care of my sister. Kelly, the social director has also been extremly awesome in answering many questions and getting me to the right person. Finally I was to recognize one of the best EVER Physical Therapist that works with my sister. Her name is Nadia and she is just fantastic! If you have a loved one, I will have to say this is the best nursing facility in the DFW area. The enitre staff really seems to care about the patients there and try to do their best to keep people in contact with there loved ones and see that the are cared for in a compasionate way during this pandemic! David and team, please please keep doing what you are doing for the care of our most precious and most vulnerable relatives. I appreciate you all!

I have the utmost confidence in his care and safety during this time of physical distancing. The staff does a great job of communicating with me and answering any questions or concerns I have. Over the years I've had loved ones in many skilled nursing faciliities and rate Las Brisas as one of the best. I highly recommend them.
