There are many wonderful people who work at Sumter but my experience today with Ty Delgado was really above and beyond. The request was to detach my old TV and attach my new one. For various reasons there were all sorts of challenges, but she was patient with me and efficient in her work, all the time being positive and upbeat. Thank you Ty; you are a real jewel.

The staff at Sumter Senior Living has been beyond amazing through the entire process of starting with a general inquiry to moving in and now daily life. They are kind, always available and very qualified. The facility is extremely clean, the food is delicious with many different options to choose from and the atmosphere feels like resort living. My review of Sumter Assisted Living Facility My name is Ivan Belitz. I have been living here since August of 2024. It is located at 1550 Killingsworth Way, The Villages, Florida. It is part of Grace Industries which has assisted living facilities all over the country. This facility is a wonderful place to live. They serve 3 meals a day in a lovely dining room. The food is good and the servers are very good. They also have a bistro on the main floor which has snacks 24 hours a day. They clean my room once a week cleaning, changing my bedding and doing my laundry. T They have many activities during the week including daily trivia, singers 3 days a week, a movie theater with movies 7 nights a week, games such as bingo twice a week, Derby races twice a week, corn hole once a week, hangman once a week and much more. The activity director's name is Kay and she arranges all these activities There is a gym on the first floor and a library. There are nurses and, nurse assistants on all 3 floors. There are doctors that come all week. there is a beauty parlor in the build They have a pharmacy where you can call 5 days a week and get your RX's delivered the same day. They also have a tech person named Ty who is our tech person. She services our computers, printers, i-phones, T. V's and much more. The people at the front desk are wonderful also. The director's name is Mica and she is great. She has an office on the main floor next to the gym. They have workers 7 days a week that make repairs, if necessary, all week. This place is a beautiful place to live in. It has a circular driveway with a portico and benches outside to sit on. There is a sidewalk around the building for walking with lovely shrubs, trees, and flowers. They have a large overhanging roof to park your cars and golf carts. There is a dog park also. Because it is located in the Villages you have access to all their facilities which includes over 80 rec centers with pools and all sorts of clubs and activities. There are over 700 holes of golf (there are 2 golf courses right behind our building). A ton of restaurants with every type of food along with 5 town squares that have bands every night from 5 to 9 p.m. The squares have all kinds of shops. Our bus services take us to doctor appointments. They also take us to Walmart every Monday and Publix on Fridays.

I’ve been going to Sumter Senior living for many years now. I have had the honor to care for many of their residents throughout the years. Just recently, I met with two families to discuss a higher level of care for their loved ones. Each family was very adamant about the great care that they’re receiving. One family, stating that the kindness did the team has showed their loved one has been like no other. The other emphasize their constant communication With updates on their loved one since the family lives out of state. They were very direct by mentioning Victoria the director of nursing, Mel, Nithira, and Brittany. This team with their impeccable work ethic, never ceases to impress the families that have trusted them with their care. I encourage you to stop in and speak to Tanya and the team. You can see for yourself, what a great community this truly is.

As a healthcare provider, I have had the pleasure of working with Senior Sumter Living directly and have been consistently impressed by the level of care provided to their residents. The nursing staff is truly amazing”compassionate, attentive, and dedicated to each individual’s well-being. Mother is a resident that was in assisted living and transitioned to memory care. The staff and nurses have been amazing and compassionate, mom is able to age in place there and the MC nurses helped to get hospice set up for her. Emotional roller-coaster that Sumter has helped the family navigate, feel blessed that mom is getting such wonderful care.

Sumter Senior Living is an excellent facility with an absolutely AMAZING staff!! We placed our Mom, who is an Alzheimer’s patient, there almost a year ago and we are SO glad we did. The nurses are incredible, the nurse assistants and med techs are kind and caring, and the entire staff has made this difficult journey so much easier because of their compassion for the residents and their passion for the good work they do. We know Mom is well cared for, loved, and safe. Additionally, not only do these wonderful folks care for Mom, they have become like family to us. From the Executive Director Mica, to the phenomenal nursing staff led by Nurse T, including Nurses Tammy and Brittany, and all of the techs and CNA’s, you will not find a better team or better people. If you have a loved one in need of assisted living or memory care, we cannot recommend this facility highly enough.

Miss Mica Gillis, the administrator. She is so attentive and caring with each resident. My God, the nursing team what a great group of women. From Victoria, the wellness director to Brittany, Melanie, Nithira, and the rest of the staff. I think you all so much for doing your job and doing it exceptionally. The dining room staff at The 19th hole , Deborah, Colleen and Stephanie provided us with exceptional service today. The hot appetizers were delicious, the fruit tray was beautiful and every beverage was served with a smile! Their willingness to help provide a memorable celebration for my parent's 65th wedding anniversary made our day extra special! Many thanks too, to the additional staff behind the scenes. I couldn't be more pleased with how the celebration unfolded.

My mom moved into independent living 5 moths ago and she has never been happier. I believe that loneliness and lack of social activity was causing major depression for mom. She was living in the villages but she no longer felt capable of driving her golf cart and her life became very small. Sumpter Senior living is extremely affordable, If you no longer have property tax , HOA, electricity, gas , home owners insurance , maintenance ect. All at Sumpter landing is all inclusive.They have a fun bar and two days a week they have live music. Three meals daily , order off the menu . The staff is amazing. Special thank you to Carrie and Beth ’. Everyone is very friendly and most importantly my mom is no longer depressed and she has a host of new friends . I highly recommend visiting their facility.

We visited a number of different assisted living communities in The Villages and chose Sumter Senior Living. Its been a year and a half since my brother moved in, and we are so pleased! We had a meeting the day he moved in, and formally met all of the different department leaders. This was so helpful, because we personally met everyone in case we needed to communicate with them in the future. The nursing department is amazing! Victoria and her staff have been extremely attentive and helpful with my brothers health and medications. Director, Mica is very professional and involved in the community. My brother loves the food, especially the breakfast blueberry pancakes! The transportation bus is very reliable, and easy to arrange. Housekeeping does a great job and the facilities are always clean. I'm so proud to see a picture of my brother on the "wall of veterans" by the elevator. Can't say enough about Sumter Senior Living! Highly recommend!

This community is stellar! The Executive Director Mica Gilles is extremely knowledgeable, and resident focused. Grandma Betty is treated by all the staff as if she is their grandmother. It warms my heart ! I had lunch recently and the fare was delectable. From the place settings to the quality of food it was fresh and beautifully plated. They even catered to my keto needs. 10 stars

My mother was there for 2 years. Two months in al, the rest in mc. It took a cpl mths to acclimate; for her & for us. After that short period my mother ended up loving her home & loving the staff. While you think no one could do better than you in caring, I'm here to tell you the staff is right up there. There are going to be laundry issues (we did my mother's laundry), cleaning issues, etc., they were quickly corrected. And yes, my mother was known for her "episodes", the staff looked beyond those times & knew what to do. And when my mother recently passed away is when I truly witnessed the love they shared. This is a very tough job for these people & truly only the compassionate, caring people "want" to be there. Thank you to everyone. The very best place when you need it. Great job, guys. I know my mother was loved by you all.’”

I had a life crisis and my daughters found this place for me. I loved it there for 3 months while I healed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did all they could to make me feel welcomed. I highly recommend this place, their staff and the care with which they did everything.

I'm so glad I made the decision to make the move to independent living at Sumter Senior Living. It was a relief to give up worrying about the maintenance of my house and yard. I was at a point where even getting groceries was difficult and it was easy to give up planning and cooking meals. I've been here a year and a half and it feels very warm and fuzzy in my new home!

We just moved my father into there a little over a month ago. Highlights: 1. Overall the staff is very nice and generally accommodating 2. The food is terrific (watch out for the warm cookies in the afternoon you will get addicted)! 3. They definitely promote social activities. Lowlights: When we moved my Dad in the room was absolutely atrocious. I had to removed rodent dropping from under the sink and there was a distinctive smell in the room. The carpet in the bedroom was supposed to be replaced due to heavy staining. During that first week I put in two work orders to at least have the carpet cleaned. My father has put in several as well. As of this writing it has not been cleaned or replaced! 2 year Update - The management has changed and the place seems much better. The front desk has a more caring attitude and my father is well taken care of.

this place was a 5-star when we moved in. Went down to a 2 star after. Now we're about a 3 star, and hoping to get better. Lots of good stuff happening now, but some things still need improving. We love the residents here. And we need more.

My aunt moved here a few months ago. It is such a great place for someone who lives in the villages area. Its no where near an assisted living facility or even a nursing home. The residents are definitely on top of their game. The other thing amazing about this place is the FOOD. It really is restaurant quality.

My Mom was there during the ownership teansitran. Nice surroundings. However, the food went down hill. Most troubling was the staff was checked out and self absorbed. I understand that the new owners have turned things around. There's lots of senior facilities in the area. They may not have the visual appeal of Sumter. I would really watch for the availablility and attitude of the staff when you are looking at any senior facility.
