This community is stellar! The Executive Director Mica Gilles is extremely knowledgeable, and resident focused. Grandma Betty is treated by all the staff as if she is their grandmother. It warms my heart ! I had lunch recently and the fare was delectable. From the place settings to the quality of food it was fresh and beautifully plated. They even catered to my keto needs. 10 stars

My mother was there for 2 years. Two months in al, the rest in mc. It took a cpl mths to acclimate; for her & for us. After that short period my mother ended up loving her home & loving the staff. While you think no one could do better than you in caring, I'm here to tell you the staff is right up there. There are going to be laundry issues (we did my mother's laundry), cleaning issues, etc., they were quickly corrected. And yes, my mother was known for her "episodes", the staff looked beyond those times & knew what to do. And when my mother recently passed away is when I truly witnessed the love they shared. This is a very tough job for these people & truly only the compassionate, caring people "want" to be there. Thank you to everyone. The very best place when you need it. Great job, guys. I know my mother was loved by you all.”

Im so glad I made the decision to make the move to independent living at Sumter Senior Living. It was a relief to give up worrying about the maintenance of my house and yard. I was at a point where even getting groceries was difficult and it was easy to give up planning and cooking meals. Ive been here a year and a half and it feels very warm and fuzzy in my new home!

We just moved my father into there a little over a month ago.Highlights:1. Overall the staff is very nice and generally accommodating 2. The food is terrific (watch out for the warm cookies in the afternoon you will get addicted)! 3. They definitely promote social activities.Lowlights:When we moved my Dad in the room was absolutely atrocious. I had to removed rodent dropping from under the sink and there was a distinctive smell in the room. The carpet in the bedroom was supposed to be replaced due to heavy staining. During that first week I put in two work orders to at least have the carpet cleaned. My father has put in several as well. As of this writing it has not been cleaned or replaced!2 year Update - The management has changed and the place seems much better. The front desk has a more caring attitude and my father is well taken care of.

this place was a 5-star when we moved in. Went down to a 2 star after. Now were about a 3 star, and hoping to get better. Lots of good stuff happening now, but some things still need improving. We love the residents here. And we need more.

My aunt moved here a few months ago. It is such a great place for someone who lives in the villages area. Its no where near an assisted living facility or even a nursing home. The residents are definitely on top of their game. The other thing amazing about this place is the FOOD. It really is restaurant quality.

Very welcoming staff. This new independent living facility it beautiful. Rooms are spacious, my in-laws live in a 2 bedroom. The food is good but some of the young wait staff are inexperienced. Lots of planned activities and transportation is provided. Overall, a great place for seniors
