My sister lived here for almost 7 years. You could not ask for a better, more caring facility. Would not hesitate to recommend the complex to anyone looking for a wonderful independent living experience. Reasonably priced and great food.

It sure is life-changing when one moves from your home to independent living, but they will never understand until you come and actually do the tour!!! My mother and I fell in love with AH Wildwood instantly. I find myself to be extremely particular, and this decision was very important with my mother. ALL staffer's are wonderful…. Directors, front desk, receptionist, Maintenance, Sandy in the dining room, you name it. Even Dee, who comes in to personally hang ALL your pictures, shelves, and wall mount your TV! The minute you walk in it's so immaculate and inviting. The units are spacious (even when you think maybe it's too small (like is on the Colorado) turned out to be perfection!! The amount of activities offered help your loved one engage, and become part of the community. When you do your tour, you'll hear about all the wonderful things they offer. I would list it all on here but it's probably best to go in for the surprise. It's basically resort living. We are exceptionally particular about our food, and the menu is outstanding along with the taste. Extremely accommodating to what they want. With my mother, having been there only one week, she is thriving more than she has in the last 20 years of her life. We are so grateful that she is in wonderful hands and has these opportunities. Can't stress enough to book a viewing just to see it yourself.

The american house is a special independent living facility . The staff (everyone) from the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, cooks and servers at Rock Creek Are so nice and caring for the residents. The staff goes above beyond for everyone in the house. I would highly recommend the american house for everyone's independent family member.

I visit there every week and do not hear complaints. I have only heard good things about the food. All the employees that I know are wonderful and seem to love their jobs. I think the apartments are the best around because they all have washers and dryers and full kitchens and all are a generous size. I always tell the ladies that when I grow up I want to live here.

This is truly an amazing facility. Before moving my parents into American House I checked out 27 facilities. Each company I would tour with I would ask, where would you want your parents or yourself to live and the greatest majority was American House. So very thankful this was both my and my parents choice in October 2020. We lost my mom this December of 2021, but so thankful she was able to enjoy her new home here for that time. So many people that live and work there are like family. During Covid my parents still had a life there even though they had limits for safety. My dad has decided to continue living at American House after mom's passing. His life is good and full there. We are so happy he is staying. The rooms and facility are wonderful and restaurant is like non other. You order off a menu just as in a restaurant three meals a day. They have a vast amount of activities for all, bus trips, transportation to grocery, pharmacy, clothing and many other stores, restaurants, shows, outings etc. They have local entertainers regularly. Most important of all is the amazing staff. They truly care about the residents and they do not have the continuous turnover of employees as the other places do. My husband and I have already told them to keep a room open for us. We have picked American House to be our next home when we are ready to give up all the work involved with owning and maintaining a home. GREAT JOB AMERICAN HOUSE

I recently had Jennifer give me a tour of this Senior Living Community. What an amazing place. From the spotless appearance, massive stone and wood western decorum, different themed floors, beautiful chandeliers, pool/jacuzzi, bar and full service restaurant...I thought I was in a five star resort. I met many happy residents and Jennifer explained many of the social activities available to the residents. I can see why they receive so many good reviews, and I'm certainly hoping one day to move in.

I am an employee and for those who leave 1 star reviews I assume have not stayed in our facility. Yes, we had a turnover in administrative staff while we were Providence Independence, however since American House has taken over I have seen many improvements. One being our fully remodeled dining room. All of the current concierges have been here from a couple of years to the original opening! Patty, Jennifer L, Carlos, Tito, Jennifer W and Amber care about our residents like family. I hope you consider joining our family and dont let a couple of misguided reviews effect you decision. Come see us for yourself! As for the comment about hurricane Irma, I was working that day. yes it was crazy but it was a natural disaster. I worked alongside corporate employees who also slept on inflatable mattresses in offices. They went through that crisis alongside their residents and did a fantastic job of keeping everyone safe.

American House has the most to offer for an independent living community. There are lots of activities; I especially enjoy winning a game or two of Bingo each week. The food has improved. Great having a separate menu for days when you dont like the chefs main menu. My husband, our dog Cocoa and I would not want to move anywhere else.

The 7 months I have worked in the Saloon I absolutely enjoy it. I have never worked in such a beautiful place like this before. I never knew how to make drinks and the current staff which I call my friends were very helpful teaching me how. The supervisors are always there to listen to any questions you may have and help you out and the staff work as a team. I also have a great time with the residents. They are always kind, patient, and understanding they are even funny. If you are looking for a job I definitely reccomend applying here.

This retirement community is not just a community. Its a vacation in Vail Colorado. Beautiful, we visited about 8 times previously to see friends who live there. They are so happy to be living there......The staff is outstanding, so friendly and always ready to please. The sales director Tonja Papa is so well versed, answered all our questions and was friendly. She made us feel so comfortable, not a bit pushy, warm and friendly. We have so many great times visiting,were making it our resort home from here on out. Thanks to all.
