I had the opportunity to tour Village on the Park Plano with Executive Director Jeanell. I've known her for over five years and have seen her serve in several roles throughout her career. She truly puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and her passion for serving seniors is evident. As someone who refers clients to assisted living communities, Village on the Park Plano will definitely be one of my top recommendations. I have complete confidence that Jeanell will provide exceptional care and leadership.

I toured Village on the Park Plano today, and I was very impressed. The community was clean, welcoming, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The apartments and common areas looked beautiful, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and inviting. You can tell they take pride in keeping the community in great condition and creating a comfortable environment for their residents. Overall, I had a wonderful experience touring Village on the Park Plano and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a senior living community.

I DO recommend Village on the Park to future residents! In early 2026, we went looking for a place for our elderly father to live. Our requirements were very social atmosphere, private room, and assisted living. We were very happy to select Village of the Park for our father! Eriahna, the sales consultant, always responded to us and worked to get a room selected. Cody works the front desk and learned our names very quickly calling all residents and guests by name. The hall staff took an interest in us asking when our father would be arriving. Everyone, whether it be the residents or the staff, are ALWAYS smiling. We were so excited as we knew our father would excel in this environment! Unfortunately just before moving in, he unexpectantly had to spend a month in the hospital. Despite having chosen a room and moved all his belongings in, the hospital stay made him uneligible to live at The Village. It was at this point in our Village relationship that the manager, Jeanell, made an emergency trip to the hospital to see us. She spent an entire morning while our father was re-evaluated. (I'm pretty sure she knew the result of the re-evaluation; she was just being there for support and willing to accept the decisions of those below her as her responsibility.) She unfortunately had to tell us that our father could no longer move into The Village despite already having his room setup with all his belongs. Sigh... As we frantically began looking for a new place for our father, Jeanell expressed to us that she would request a refund of our fees and the first month's rent which we had already paid. Second, she gave us plenty of time to focus on our father's move before asking us to vacate the room. The only negative experience was that Jeanell had to work for over 2 months to get us the refund she promised from corporate, but it did eventually come. I would say that The Village's success and great ratings that you see here are all based on Jeanell's philosophy for a great place to live and work. Despite she having to say "No" to us, thank you Jeanell for your support! I'm sure your current and future residents thrive in the environment your have created.

Visited this place for my Abuela. Seems very new and clean. Staff was very friendly and loved the look of the apartments. Offered a lot of space in the apartment with updated interior. Very impressed with my visit.

I was looking for a place for my mother and this place was highly rated. Extremely clean on the inside and looks like a great newer place in a nice location. Eriahna was the sales agent that showed me around, and was extremely capable and helped me greatly with making the best decision. No strong arming here, just good rationale and experience that she was able to share with me to help a lot as I worked towards a new home for mom. If you're looking for a nice place for assisted living, give this place a try and you'll likely be impressed.

If you or a loved one need an assisted living facility than this is the place. Recently our dad moved into Village on the Park Plano and we've experienced an organization that exhibits compassionate care, respect, resident-centric service and a genuine desire to exceed expectations. This all starts with the executive director Jeanell. She has instituted a culture of caring that should be admired by any assisted living facility and has a team that demonstrate the values of the culture through the service they provide. My dad's move-in experience - with thanks to Eriahna, Chef John, Meka, Brandon and Cody - made a positive impression on all of us that we will never forget. Dad's first day included a warm welcoming committee, a ribbon-cutting to his new apartment, welcome gifts and a specially made first meal brought to his apartment. We all look forward to dad thriving and enjoying his new home thanks to the entire Village on the Park Plano team.

Stopped by for a tour as we’re looking for a place for my grandmother, and I was honestly impressed. The staff was warm and welcoming, Ms. Jeanell was amazing, the residents seemed happy and engaged, and the place didn’t feel like a facility ” more like a community. Everything was clean, organized, and calm. Definitely moved this one to the top of our list.

My dad has been at this facility for nearly 2 years and it's been great. The caregivers are all very nice and very patient, even when the patients are grumpy. The nursing staff and the patient care staff (Meka) are absolutely wonderful. Meka and Priscilla specifically went out of their way to make my dad comfortable and get him back to the facility after a hospital/rehab stay. The apartments are so nice and cleaning staff does a great job, the food is good, would highly recommend this facility for those looking for Assisted Living for their relative.

As soon as we walked into Village on the Park Plano, we knew this was the one. The landscaping is beautiful, the lobby is super clean and inviting, and everyone was so friendly. It honestly felt like the building was giving us a warm hug. The one-bedroom was perfect ” modern, spacious, and exactly what we needed. Not only is the place really nice, but the care staff was over the top in answering all of our questions and making sure my dad’s care needs would be fully taken care of and then some. We feel really good about this choice!

I had the pleasure of touring Village in the Park recently, and I must say, it has quickly become my top choice for my family member. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and I had a wonderful tour with the Executive Director, who made sure all of my questions were answered and gave me a clear understanding of the amenities, care and lifestyle offered at the community. Jeanell (executive director), Meka (director of resident care), and their team are the reason why Village on the Park is an excellent Assisted Living Facility. They show caring, patience, and kindness in everything they do for the residents here. The facilities are very nice, and clean, and the food choices and preparation are very good. Our experience started out wonderfully. As with our previous experience, turnover becomes an issue. For our 1st 3 yrs the team hardly had any turnover, but in recent months there has been a new ED, Chef & custodial staff. On most fronts, the staff have been wonderful. Please keep it up and take care of YOUR people, taking care of OUR people.

My mom moved to Village on the Park Plano today. The experience of getting her to this day has been really amazing. Stephanie in particular has gone so above and beyond in every way to ensure that today would be a smooth and happy day for her. Stephanie worked tirelessly - even going so far as to camp out at her doctor's office not once but twice - to ensure everything would be great when my mom arrived. It is not easy for an independent person to decide to go to assisted living. But as my mom walked in and everyone cheered and said "welcome home" to her, her smile was so wide. I hope her great experience continues!

The renovation is nice, tasteful fresh decor. The transition of the menu and food prepared has gone downhill fast. The staff doesn’t seem to care, the elderly will just stay quiet and eat. But those that care have complained over and over and using a microwave to prepare anything is a no no. It’s disappointing because it would have been 5 stars had they turned over a new leaf with their menu and food preparation.

The outside appearance is beautiful from curb appeal to landscaping, beautiful flowers when you first walk in it’s like awww ° feels so nice and fresh beautiful furniture. Smiling faces all around, the community itself is beautiful, I got the chance to have lunch and the food was amazing nice aroma and great plating. Took a tour of the community and all around it’s a 10 great amenities and nice building.

My parents moved into Mapleshade in 2016 the director at the time was very welcoming to our family, he left shortly after they moved in, another director came and honestly cannot remember how they were, Linda was next director she was a great addition to the facility, She was involved with the residents she dressed up for occasions, and was very careful when Covid-19 started, and kept everyone safe. We had drive up greetings when the residents could sit outside and see their families, this was a scary time for all of us, but the main goal was to keep everyone safe. Next director [name removed] came, she never leaves her office, never saw her talking to the residents. She was not there to make sure her residents were being taken care of. or know anything about them There were lots of times residents that were in wheelchairs, were taking themselves back to their rooms because they did not have enough staff, you sure didn't see [name removed] making sure residents got back to their rooms or seeing her push a resident back to their room in their wheelchair. Being a caregiver was a difficult job and they had turnovers all the time, but the ones that were there to take care of the seniors were amazing: Lynn Brink, Stacy Flowers, Dr. Josepine, Geraldine the Med Tech and many of the aides were amazing people who cared for our mom and dad the short time he was there. Not a big fan of the nurses especially [name removed] or [name removed] they have no business working with Seniors, they both lack compassion and understanding. [name removed] sent mom to hospital without letting the family know, or what hospital she was going to we had to find her. On the Morning our mom passed; [name removed] did not come up to her room never heard from [name removed] either. My sister and I spent 5 years visiting our mom we do miss seeing the residents as well as the staff mentioned. My mom was under hospice care at the end even though hospice was not doing their job Cindy and I were so beyond grateful the 2 special angels that helped our mom enter Heaven before we arrived hospice was not there to assist but, so grateful that the people there that morning made that transition possible. We do hope you continue to find employees that love seniors and want to make the rest of their lives as meaningful as possible or have a director that deeply cares about senior citizens, as most clients do not have families, so it is up to you to make their lives mean something for however much time they have left. Overall, I would give the facility a 3 star and the staff a 5 star. I just hope you take better care of the people that choose your facility to live in, and possibly lower your cost to live there.

My mother lived a year and a half at Anthology of Plano. All of the staff is professional and willing to go above and beyond for the residents!! All the aids that assisted my 100 year old mother were loving and fantastic in caring for her!!

I am a healthcare professional and visit ALFs and SNFs on a regular basis . Today was by far the best experience I have had in a facility in years. Ladies at the front desk greeted me with warm smiles, caregiver Nina was extremely helpful and very pleasant and Priscilla was also very helpful and friendly. Patients appeared to be well taken care of and facility was very clean. Great job!

My mother lived at Anthology of Plano Assisted Living for one year. She passed away in September 2022, through no fault of the community. Do not be misled by the Best Assisted Living communities ratings and article from the Dallas paper in the lobby. After move-in we found that this community has struggled with heavy staffing turnover and care issues for a period of time. Mom had three Directors of Nursing and most, if not all, of the dining room staff turned over within that year. Her most consistent nursing caregiver was an agency nurse. You will need to make 4-5 visits per week to monitor care at this community. We had a full time job making sure Moms care was provided. There was little to no effort made to encourage my 86 year old mom to take her twice weekly shower, take her meds, etc. Staff used any excuse from mom not to provide care without any apparent effort to get her participation. Dining room staff were unfamiliar with diabetic diet requirements, which for an assisted living community we found concerning, so we worked with them on moms diet. Despite this, Servers consistently gave mom full sugar desserts and second desserts to take to her room. My mom was happy with the activities, and overall quality of the food. For these reasons she stayed at the community and left the worrying and monitoring of her care to us. Communication with management was difficult for the most part if you had a care issue. Several emails being required and frequently delayed or no response. It may not be entirely fair to comment on the specific staffing issues at Anthology as most assisted living communities are experiencing the same issues due to the significantly lower pay private for profit communities pay their staff. Until proper compensation, training, and significant staff retention efforts at ALL levels of staffing becomes a priority I’m afraid the staff turnover issues will continue.

This Assited Living center is the BEST! I have been in and worked with many, but this building takes the cake! Staff is amazing and they are willing to work all hours to ensure their residents get the attention and care they need.
