My sister is a resident there for now almost 2 years . I looked high and low for a special place as she is still relatively young . She loves it there and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking. The staff is wonderful and cares about the residents!

Very happy with the care and family feel when I come see my Dad. It's nice walking in and the staff knows who I am and tells me where to find my dad and what hes been doing. He enjoys all the activities and loves when the director brings her dogs in to visit . I recommend Desoto Palms to everyone that is seeking a good place for their parents .

I bring a different perspective - that of an observer. I take my dog there for pet therapy. I knew no one who lived there and I knew none of the staff when I started going there. My experiences have all been positive. - The place is clean with nice amenities. - No issue with parking. - Staff seems to truly care about the residents. They seem to be hard working. I've never seen any of the staff idle unless they are speaking with a resident. - The residents seem to be happy there. They speak highly of Jody, who directs activities. - Speaking of activities, the residents tell me about all of the activity options they are given and it blows me away. I have been there right after the residents have assisted in cookie making. They seem to enjoy making and eating them, and it makes the place smell so good! If I ever know of anyone who is looking for an assisted living facility, I will definitely recommend DeSoto Palms to them. I feel fortunate to have found this facility to volunteer in. My dog also seems to look forward to going to "work" and I hear the residents look forward to our visits.

The staff is very caring, warm, and respectful. The facilities are well maintained and feel like resort living. My MIL enjoys the choices for meals and the activities. Jody is truly exceptional along with all the others. Our family so appreciates everyone.

Great facility -- apartments are spacious and look new. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional, and they are very responsive. I've very happy that my mom made the move to Desoto Palms.

This company I work for Desoto palms for a year and would have never guess Id be black balled from working here again it wasnt until recently I applied and was given the run around about until the the director of nursing finally called me back after several messages left on her answering machine to tell I was not eligible for rehire without a reason # what I do recall was being a devoted worker and a head worker for the company but I must admit it was a lot of bullying going on within the work place upon the new hires we had just got a new director Georgette at the time would coddled the old employees and believed everything that they said I regret that the management not having an true open door policy within this work places I dont regret working here because that was out of my heart with little pay i still loved the job through the drama and its ups n down wish that they would exercise policy over friendship or favorite person

My mother has been a resident at Desoto Palms for 5 years. She loves the daily activities, exercise programs and all of her fellow residents. I love the caring staff and the knowledge that she is in a place that I know she is happy and enjoying her daily life. The activities directors are creative and enthusiastic when planning activities.

I am a personal friend of Ms Claus and visited over the holidays. The staff had prepared a wonderful table of decadent goodies and delights for everyone. The decor was beautiful and the love being generated by staff, families,visitors and residents was palpable. Wonderful people!

Smaller facility with caring staff and a family type environment. The entire staff is caring, friendly and so helpful Updated October 2020 My mother has lived at Desoto Palms for 3 years. She has received awesome care. Te staff truly cares for the residents like their own family. Even during the current Covid pandemic, they are constantly updating us on any issues, concerns and updates about testing. They have made sure my mother remains safe and even when isolating they bring her food, puzzles, snacks and making sure she is happy and healthy! I am so happy that my mother is at Desoto Palms both before and during this health crisis.

Absolutely wonderful looking place, inside and out. The staff um I cant say much other then the gentleman telling me I cant park on the side. The parking, is horrible. It is to small, and the space given wont fit a typical sized car. Obviously if you need to live here. You probably wont need to worry about it. Im sure youll be more concerned about other things, but your family is going to have another reason not see you.

Wonderful living environment! Friendly and helpful staff. Daily activities for residents including music, outings, adult coloring, ice cream socials, jewelry-making, fitness classes, holiday events, Scrabble, Bingo, dog therapy. In-house beauty salon.

My aunt moved here in April and enjoys her new home immensely. She participates in daily activities, goes on field trips and attends her church on Sunday with several other residents. Friday Happy Hour with live entertainment are the highlight of the week, we try to attend whenever we can. She really enjoys the food and it is prepared specially for her to meet her dietary needs. There is always fresh fruit, beverages and a short order restaurant when she doesnt make it to the regular dining hours. Any issues that arise, D-P works quickly to solve.

This is a great facility! I have been coming to Desoto Palms for a year and a half to volunteer with my dog, Bailey. We provide pet therapy to the residents that would like a cuddly companion:) Since we only make it there on Sundays , we dont see a lot of staff. But the staff that works the weekends are always friendly and helpful. Residents seem happy and when they need help there is always someone on their way. The place is very clean, which is a huge plus in my book! Bailey and I have visited many facilities over the past 5 yrs providing pet therapy and many I simply had to stop going to because it was always dirty on the weekends. Bailey would eat stuff on the floor and get sick! This is NOT the case at Desoto Palms, it is always clean and tidy! The rooms are always so nice and the common areas too! I dont think you can go wrong with this place! If I had to put a loved one in assisted living this would be my number one choice!!

DeSoto Palms is all about actively enjoying life everyday. A community of caring staff go the distance to serve the needs of every resident. Many of the staff members have worked there since they opened 7 years ago. The apartments are roomy, bright and well maintained. Delicious meals and weekly fun events are shared in lovely dining rooms. A cruise ship experience without the rocking boat. I enjoy visiting my aunt as the atmosphere is enjoyably relaxing.

Staff is excellent, attentive, responsive to inquiries, proactive in helping new residents feel welcomed & engaged with other community residents.
