Lorien Bel Air provided superb care for my husband during his recovery from major spinal surgery. Navigating the logistics of sub-acute rehabilitation can be overwhelming, but the Admissions Director, Nick Restivo, was instrumental in making the transition seamless and ensuring we felt supported from day one. Also the team ensured we received the exact support we needed at the most critical moments. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional; the care from the nursing, physical, and occupational therapy teams was truly stellar. In particular, the dedication shown by Olivia Dixon in Physical Therapy and Sierra Wright in Occupational Therapy provided the expertise my husband needed to progress. Olivia had a remarkable intuition for his recovery, knowing exactly when to offer encouragement, when to challenge him, and when to prioritize rest. Similarly, Sierra provided the focused, practical strategies he needed to regain his independence, ensuring he felt empowered and prepared for his transition home. Thanks to the foundation laid by the Lorien staff, my husband has reached incredible milestones on his healing journey. We are forever grateful to have had them as a partner in his recovery. Something no one had done before. She was caring and kind and HELPFUL. i was ready to go home and she single handedly made that happen in 1 day. Jeanette thank you for all you did for me yesterday. You worked so hard to help me get home. It was obvious you care about people and really really want to help! If I could give you 10 stars I would I am so grateful. My wife Sandy came home today after spending four weeks in Lorien of Bel Air. I don’t think her recovery would have been as fast and complete without their loving care. support, and physical therapy. The staff there, and I mean all the staff, were wonderful and I could tell from her very first day there they really cared. I must say there were a few tears this morning when we left, as both Sandy and I got a little attached to her care team, they are indeed wonderful people and Lorien is better because of them.

The staff here is elite and very caring. From the business office to the cafeteria to the social workers (Jeanettte) and most importantly the nursing staff and techs.. amazing. They are thoughtful and friendly they have legitimate activities. The food is excellent and the location is clean. Thank you for caring so much.

Loren Bel Air is a great facility. Everyone at Lorien has treated me very well. When I say everyone I mean everyone... Nick, Sarah, Gabby, Denmark, Princess, (everyone and more names I forgot.) Maintenence came up immediately to show me how to use the TV, Housekeeping has my room and all areas spotless clean. All Nurses. Techs, Aids, PT & OT, Social Worker. Activities Worker. Front Reception Desk, Dietary, so genuinely kind and caring. I liked the food too. Everyone treated my wife with kindness and accommodated her, plus Nick & Sara went out of their way and allowed my wife to stay with me overnights. My family members that had been patients at Bel Air Loren have rated Loren Bel Air very highly and I can see why. It's so great here that I don't care when I leave. Thanks Loren! Sincerely, Frank

Everyone was very nice, it was clean, the only thing not great was the food , it was eatable, but not great, sorry to say, but it really wasn't very good, other then that, I had no complaints, and I would stay there again if I needed a rehab stay.

Thanks to all the staff at Lorien. They were great and really made a difference for my 90 year old Mom. She had a hip replacement, stayed at the hospital for a few days and then went to Lorien for rehab. They had a nurse, social worker, recreation, therapy, dietician all help her to a speedy recovery. She is now home and a month later is ready to start dancing!!!!!!!! I especially would like to thank Nick Restivo, admissions director for his advice and coordination efforts. He coordinated with the hospital and transportation people to make everything seamless and efficient. He coordinated everything with the medicaid/medicare people too.

My mother has been a resident of Lorien Bel Air AL for a number of years. That has exceeded our initial expectations due in large part to the exceptional quality of care she has received. From the administrators to every department, she is treated with respect and dignity. The lines of communication have always been easy and open with the family. Mom feels safe and secure. Lorien has truly become our community.

When my dad was at Lorien, Bel Air, first in the Rehab Unit, then transferred to Long Term Care, he experienced great care. My mother entered the Assisted Living Unit over 3 years ago. When she told me she felt safe, I knew she was in the right place. Plentiful activities, delicious food, caring staff certainly makes for a wonderful environment. Any concerns I may have are listened to and addressed.

I had to make the decision to move my grandfather into assisted living. Him and I together checked into multiple places to see what he would like and what would fit his needs. We both felt very welcomed at Lorien from the start. Lorien offered so much more and was able to get him back to being active and more independent. They offer so many different activities throughout the day every day. The staff always checked on him and made sure he was ok and if he wanted to participate in the daily activities someone would make sure to get him where he needed to be. The meals were great he always talked about how much he enjoyed having different options and it was like eating in a restaurant. We had some really great staff members that treated him like family. They offer so many different options that makes it easier to enjoy life with less worries. He really enjoyed playing bingo, and the ice cream parlor. He went through a lot with medical issues they were always accommodating and having Doctors and Nurses onsite was great. It was hard for him and me with taking care of him but the move to Lorien really made a difference. If I had to make that decision again the only change I would have made is move him sooner so he would have had more time to enjoy all they had to offer. I could not thank the staff enough for all they did and all the care that he was given.

The compassion, kindness, and professionalism demonstrated by the entire staff was truly remarkable. What sets Lorien Bel Air apart is the genuine concern and dedication of the caregivers. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that her well-being and comfort were top priority. Every staff member, from the nurses and aides, dining and activities teams, to laundry and maintenance staff, treated my Gmom with respect and dignity. They took the time to get to know her as an individual, learning about her preferences and interests. The care team kept our family updated and involved every step of the way, ensuring we were always aware of any changes. Even in the face of the inevitable, the compassion and support extended to both my Gmom and our family is immeasurable. The care and kindness shown in her final days is something we will always be grateful for. Thank you to the entire Lorien Bel Air team for all that you do. Knowing that my Gmom was in such capable & caring hands brought us all such comfort.

My mother has been a resident at Lorien Bel Air for 2 years. I can honestly say that she has received excellent care. Besides getting wonderful medical care, she thoroughly enjoys all the activities that are offered through the amazing activities department. Amy and her staff work so hard to provide stimulating activities for the residents. They always encourage family members to participate whenever possible. My mom's favorite activity is Bingo. Winners get coupons which can be used to buy items from the store located on the second floor. I always go to exercise class and Happy Hour on Friday afternoons. There are always special events scheduled such as Octoberfest and Trunk or Treat. These events are schedule in the evening so that family members can attend. Another activity that is offered is Relaxation & Aroma Therapy which is held every Thursday afternoon after a music program. Mariann

My partner and I were residents of lorien of bel air for 19 mos until his passing. Having dementia he wasn't always pleasant but his caregivers were always patient and caring. I highly recommend this facility to those who require 24/7 care. There are plenty of activities, a lovely library, a ice cream parlor that serves the most delicious ice cream!!! Joanna and Angie are the best..

I just recently spent about 4 weeks in this facility rehabbing my hip after surgery. Overall my experience was great. This is a nice and clean facility I dealt with Nick initially to get me into the facility. He was great to deal with! The nursing staff was amazing! Pt and ot did a great job with me as well. I definitely recommend this place!

My mother-in-law was at Lorien for a little over a year and a half in their assisted living. It was clean, inviting, and well-maintained. Dining room was lovely and had food choices that satisfied. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to my mother-in-law’s needs. Staff knew her well we’re always courteous , respectful, and kind. We were very pleased with our experiences there, and have no complaints.

I think Lorien does a great job. My grandmother has been in the Bel Air facility for two years. They have been helpful and professional. The staff assisted with paperwork to help with the financial part of her care. Whenever I want to pick her up, I can just call ahead. She is always dressed and ready to go. Since she has been in the facility she hasn't had one bedsore or any other illnesses often associated with long term care. Whenever I need something from the staff, they respond immediately and politely. I appreciate this facility and how they are helping during this time.

My mom was placed at Lorian Bel Air after a fall that caused her to fracture her hip. Due to the surgery she received she could not put any weight on the leg for 4 weeks. During that time the staff attended to her needs which we would not have been able to do at home. They were kind and caring to her and any issues were immediately addressed. The PT and OT that she received during her stay and especially in the last 2 weeks of her stay really helped her to be able to live almost independently upon returning to her home. Thank you for helping my mom get back to her independent life.

Kim. was so nice and supplied me with lots of helpful items. PT. Ina, was very compasionate and understanding. Ann, the nurse. took alot of abuse from my roommate. She didn't deserve that. Stephen. nurse, was very nice and helpful to me. Sonya, Victor and Elana deserve a raise.

The Lorien Bel Air has been great to work with from initial communication to the end of the stay. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us set up and answering all our questions leading up to the stay. Our father who has had multiple strokes and has aphasia did a 2 week respite care stay while our family went on vacation. Knowing he was being taken care of was a huge relief and allowed for us to enjoy our time away. Each time we have talked to him he raves about the care (and food) he has been receiving. He is pretty picky when it comes to his care givers and what he eats so to not have a single complaint demonstrates how great the experience was for all of us. Will definitely use the Lorien again in the future.

I've been home from rehab one week now. I was sent home with a wheel chair from Lorien which doesn't have good brakes. It keeps moving when it's locked. Still haven't heard anything about the chair I'm supposed to get from Medicare. I've called Lorien 2 times but never heard back. Not very happy right now. UPDATE: Lorien resolved the wheel chair problem. They contacted the wheelchair company and the chair was delivered. They came and picked up their chair. I must say that my time at Lorien for rehab was great. Everyone took great care of me.

Lorien is an awesome facility. My father has been a resident for several years now and has always gotten top notch care. The entire staff has been a pleasure to work with, especially at this time when no one in the family has been able to visit. They have accommodated all of our requests for Facetime and/or Skype and we have also had window visits. In these difficult times it is nice to know that my Dad is being well cared for in our absence.

Loved this place! My grandmother was here for several weeks and they were wonderful. Always welcoming no matter the time day or night for visits. Always had some event planned and the nurses were very attentive and personable! She enjoyed her stay .

If you are contemplating having your parent in the assisted living floors, make sure they are fully capable of caring for themselves. They offer higher levels if care in assisted living but do not fully deliver. Has been a nightmare from day one. We opted for a higher level of care and often basic needs are not met. They seem to be consistently short staffed. Especially on the weekends.

Excellent nursing care the three weeks I was there. I had several nursing assistants that went far beyond my expectations of keeping my physical self and my mental self up and moving and as cheerful as I could be under my circumstances. Some of the food was excellent, some not. Overall they did accommodate my wants as much as possible. The physical therapy and occupational therapy team was excellent. When I got there from my surgery I was still unable to do many of the basic self care requirements. When I was discharged to home there was an amazing improvement in my walking, strength and endurance.
