I recently visited my relative at Westgate Assisted Living and was pleasantly surprised by the modern, inviting atmosphere. As a millennial, I was initially concerned about the traditional assisted living stereotype, but Westgate completely exceeded my expectations. The food was surprisingly delicious and varied. The living conditions were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The common areas were spacious and inviting, perfect for socializing with other residents. But what truly impressed me was the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The Health and Wellness Director, Staci Prusia, was particularly outstanding. Her passion for her job was evident, and she went above and beyond to ensure the residents' well-being. If you're looking for an assisted living facility that offers a high-quality experience, I highly recommend Westgate. It's a place where residents can feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.

I have always felt welcome when coming into Westgate! As a hospice aide, I have visited this facility a few times as a couple of my patients reside here. This facility is super clean and the staff takes excellent care of their patients!

Though my mother has only been here a short time, the facility and staff have been very pleasant and welcoming to her and my family. The application and acceptance process was easy, as was the move in phase. I hope the experience continues to be positive as my mother is beginning to enjoy her new life here.

This is the best place for my mom! When we first toured she said it felt like home. Her apartment is just the right size. There are plenty of activities throughout the week and the opportunity to interact with other residents. I’m thankful she’s in a place that cares about the residents.

I walked in to ask a few questions with my Mother and ended up staying for dinner. There were so many choices we wanted to try everything on the menu. We are so glad we did. This is the best place we visited and my Mom loves it.

I was Amazed how many smiles I seen!! I know they got a new person running activity part and they have gone to many places like the Omaha Zoo, and to Warner stadium. The little things matter and I believe that they are filled here. Not one for old people homes , and this was not that feel.

I believe finding Westgate Assisted Living was truly an answer to prayer. Following a hospital stay, my dad needed more assistance so the hunt was on for a good place for him to stay. Westgate was in a convenient location, reasonably-priced, and well-maintained, but best of all, the staff are experienced, patient, and very kind. In such a short time, they felt like family. My dad was very content here and always felt like the staff were responsive and thoughtful. I could't recommend it more highly.

Westgate Assisted Living was my father's home for three and one half years. My family would recommend Westgate as it was recommended to us by a coworker . It was convenient to our family's homes and work locations at 3030 south 80th Street, just off Center. Dad moved there because, at 88 and beginning to be frail, he needed an accessible residence and his own home for fifty years with steep basement stairs to was not workable and he was not eating well on his own. We found the quite spacious studio apartment to be perfect for him, with a large picture window, private bathroom, a small galley kitchen, plenty of storage and all the privacy he wanted. He was reluctant at first, but after several months, the caring and attentive staff at Westgate drew him into the social community there. Three times weekly bingo games and the Friday afternoon musical events were highlights. He also looked forward to the weekly escorted shopping trips to the local grocery, pharmacy and banking. He participated in almost all of the recreational and social activities including the resident advisory council. The advisory council creates an effective and respectful means of real communication for residents with each area of the Westgate management. I was always very impressed with the sincere effort that the staff made to address resident requests. Their diligent advocacy also assured fairly regular religious observance and pastoral visits. After some time, he required additional assistance with medication management and Westgate provided that service well. The nursing staff was caring and insightful, something we especially appreciated. We knew very soon after he moved to Westgate that this was a great place for him. We remain very grateful for his years at Westgate.

This place was so horrible we moved my mom out of there in a month. We paid extra for shower and escort to meals. She was there 8 days and did not have a shower. They said she refused, how long would they have waited before letting a family memeber know? Escort to meals was a knock on the door and that was if she didn't show up. A gentleman was laying on the floor for 2 hours ( his words) my sister saw him and notified the staff. The staff was rude to my mom in front of my sister HOW did they treat her when a family member was not around. They said they had weekly mass (main reason my mom agreed)No mass her first week there. MOST important they were giving my mom the wrong RX for a month. I didn't realize it until I received her pharmacy bill. The place stinks of urine!! They have housekeeping spray airfreshener before a showing. If you love your parent(s) show up at these places without an appointment and if you smell air freshener run!!
