I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carolyn Harper the Head of the Gardens assisted living facility. Her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to the residents and staff are truly exceptional. She goes above and beyond to ensure that every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care. Communication with families is always open and reassuring, and it’s clear that creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment is her top priority. Carolyn's leadership has fostered a warm and caring community where residents feel valued and families have peace of mind. My mom has been a resident since December. I can honestly say there is no other place I would rather put a loving mother. . The Leadership Team is great (Kim, Therapy, Carolyn, Latasha) They are open to answering all questions or concerns with kindness and respect. Everyone is welcoming and shows true compassion. This was a blessing to our family during a difficult time. Tiffany has managed mom’s appointments and helped us navigate mom’s care outside the facility. Mom’s driver, Mr Maxie is the kindest and most compassionate man I’ve ever met. Angie, the Activity Director keeps everyone upbeat bringing entertainment to the residents and brightening everyone’s day with her smile and beautiful personality. There are so many CNA’s that have been fabulous to mom that I can’t say enough kind words about them. I made so many new friends here that this place will always be part of our family.

Guardian Rehab is an amazing place! Tiffany was our caregiver and she was attentive, kind, funny and oh so helpful. I would recommend Guardian, and Tiffany, to anyone in need of Rehab with special attention.

From our first tour of The Guardian to my mom’s current stay for hip-fracture rehab, our family has been extremely pleased. The facility aesthetics are modern and bright creating a home-like environment, which we truly believe has helped her recovery. Amy in admissions made the hospital transition seamless. She was so professional, knowledgeable, and was able to answer all of our questions which immediately put us at ease. Every staff member has been welcoming to mom. The private rooms are very clean and spacious. The nursing aides are not only attentive and efficient but consistently kind and respectful to my mom. The nursing and physical therapy teams have been outstanding, giving her individualized care. They have created and altered plans to match her evolving physical capabilities and needs through recovery stages. The food meets her dietary needs and actually tastes great! The activities director somehow has my mom attending (and enjoying!) daily activities. One of the most impressive things is that the owner is onsite regularly, involved with patients and staff. That level of hands-on leadership makes this facility a true asset to our community. Our family spends close to 16 hours there every day, so we’ve seen all aspects of care and we are incredibly impressed. If you need rehab or assisted living for a loved one, The Guardian is a special place.

The residents there are so sweet and loving . The only issues are the staff . The drama there is oblivious. They in it for the money and that’s sad . They cannot keep staff because of the circus and drama at the facility. Nevertheless, they treat the good workers inhumane and praise the individuals who don’t do the their job . Instead of doing their work they find issues to complain about with the individuals who are doing their work. That’s what it’s all about is taking care of the residents but they focus on the systemic issues not even involving or pertaining to the residents . Work load is heavy .1:8 ratio is abuse to a CNA . Dietary often overlooks patients diet plan when requesting certain meals for residents that they have been requesting for quite some time .

I work in healthcare and frequently visit this facility. The staff is always welcoming with a smile and eager to help. They go above and beyond, from janitorial to upper management, everyone is very involved and willing to go the extra mile. The facility is clean and smells good. The activities directors are always doing something fun for the residents. I feel confident you will love this place!

I work in the medical field and I visit this facility on a regular basis , I feel like they are really attentive to all the patients and are always taking great care of them. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The facility is always spotless clean! The Director of Nursing goes above and beyond to make sure all of the patients are taken care of and all their needs are met. You can rest assure that if your loved one lived here they would def be taken great care of and always treated like family

My dad stayed in the Guardian House for three weeks and we were all dreading it. I must say that in a difficult time of life, the staff made everything so easy. They were all very professional and friendly. My mother, who visited for three hours every day, said she will miss her friends!

My husband was a patient in The Guardian for rehab. The experience was very positive. The nurse Amy was eager to help discharge my husband from the hospital and helped tremendously with making sure the transition was smooth. The physical therapist were professional and caring. Everyone from nursing to dietary exceeded our expectations. They have remodeled and it doesn’t feel or look like a nursing home. Thanks to all of you for ensuring my husbands needs were met. I would highly recommend The Guardian.

I have a parent who has been in the Rehab Center for a month now since his knee replacement surgery. This rehab center is excellent. We had a meeting with department heads shortly after my Dad arrived. Everyone was very professional and helpful. The Director of Nursing met with us to explain what we could expect and address any concerns. My Dad likes it so much and said that everyone is so friendly that he wants to stay there. I was in his room one day and an aide came by to check on him and brought him some ice cream. There were smiles all around. I would recommend this center to everyone. It is a great team.

My father-in-law has been in the Guardian rehab facility for over a month. He is doing very well and is very happy with the care and attention he is getting. . The staff is very friendly and responsive to any requests. I would recommend this facility.

My dad had to have rehab after a surgery and after much research decided this was the best place to place him. The staff was amazing. Dad was a night wonderer and the staff would even let him stay at the nurses station to keep him company. He really surprised us when he told my sister that they would have to drag him out kicking and screaming because he liked it there so much. The room was surprisingly large and housekeeping was great. the Staff was always cheerful and showed how much they really care for their patients. I’ve had experience rehab homes before and this was such a wonderful difference! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs elder rehab care. AAA+ in every way. Dad is 90 and swore he would never want to stay in a resthome.

What a great experience this has been! My Grandfather stayed here during his knee replacement recovery and liked it so much that he decided to sell his home and stay permanently! He loves the staff and accommodations and felt at home right away! Thank you so much for taking such good care of him!

This place and mainly the people that work here are truly amazing. The Director of Nursing has put together a tremendous team that are friendly, and truly cares about their residents. My dad was in this facility and our experience was first class. The facility has all private rooms and the care was second to none. We have been in a couple of the facilities in the area and this is by far the best. The new management team took over in January of last year, and the improvements are drastic. There is no other place that I would consider putting any of my loved ones. God Bless the staff at this wonderful facility.

What I liked most about the place is that it has a skilled nursing facility and an assisted living all on one campus. Each has their own building and staff members but they work together to ensure quality care.The new owners have made a lot of improvements on the building and they've made a lot of changes in the staff. The culture within each establishment is very positive and hands on. I would recommend this to anyone in need of SNF and assisted living in the Lake Charles area.
