She even had a male admirer for a while and they had a great time together. The nursing staff was wonderful, I became very good friends with Noelle. My mother was recently at Ignite St. Mary's for rehab following an extended hospital stay after a fall at home. Prior to being admitted to Ignite St. Mary's she spent time at another rehab facility where she contracted c diff, cellulitus, and a UTI. She left that rehab in an ambulance after they refused to listen to my concerns and neglected to treat her for her infections. She was was admitted to ICU for septic shock and multiple organ failure. She survived and when it came time to choose another rehab, I chose Ignite St. Mary's. My mother had previously been there and received excellent care. Needless to say, I will never send my mother to another rehab facility. The therapy team at Ignite St. Mary's is excellent. My mother was scared and anxious about falling again and they were so patient and encouraging. She had one on one therapy sessions with a therapist and group therapy sessions with other residents. She really enjoyed the group therapy and I loved all the activities they did with the residents. It looked like so much fun. She left after 21 days stronger than she was before her fall. She still has some fear but she is back to being independent and doing things on her own again. The nurses and aides were also excellent. They listened to me when I came to them with concerns or questions. They didn't disregard me and I really appreciated that. I would definitely recommend Ignite St. Mary's to anyone who is looking for a quality rehab facility for their loved one.

After a thorough search for the best assisted living situation we could find, for my brother, we found what we were looking for at Ignite St. Mary's in Blue Springs. My husband and I could not be happier. More importantly, my brother could not be happier! The entire Ignite team of caregivers, therapists, kitchen staff, front door greeters and administrators are truly a dedicated, kind, respectful group of individuals. The facility is clean, and the meals are simply amazing. There are daily activities, a library and much more to choose from. My husband and I are so happy that my brother has the opportunity to live and thrive at Ignite!

We have been very pleased with my sister's care at Ignite St. Mary's. The staff has been great. The nurses and aids have shown great care with with my sister, especially Nicole F. She and my sister "get" each other in some crazy way. She definitely cares about the residents. The therapy department is also great. Sue has gone above and beyond to help get a power chair for my sister. Our only complaint is the kitchen. My sister tells me the food is not good at all. How hard is it to make food that the residents enjoy?

My 91 year old mom was in the rehab facility at Ignite St. Marys in Blue Springs for 2 weeks, after hip surgery. They accommodated our requests to be like home; giving her meds at specific times, etc. I had a lot of questions and the nurses and therapists were polite and professional answering them. I was there everyday for a week to help my mom acclimate to the place and communicate with the nurses her needs. All the therapists were wonderful as well. I hung out at the gym to see the types of exercises they had her doing. Which helped because I bought several of the items that she was using so she could continue doing those at home. My mom is an active person, so having these on hand now keeps her busy. The office ladies, front desk and the events lady were nice and helpful as well. She was released in late January. The facility reached out a few times since then to check up on her and the therapists sent her a card with an encouraging handwritten note. It's on her fridge Also, my mom had home health care for physical and occupational therapy and graduated from that recently. She has come a long way and keeps making progress. Her time at Ignite St. Mary's in Blue Springs was a good foundation for her recovery.

I was wheeled into a small, dingy, colorless room complete with scraped up walls, crooked curtains, and what looked like dirt marks everywhere. The friendly staff assured me that I would receive the best of care, but with my kneecap shattered and pounding, I was in no mood to be convinced. I thanked the young woman but told her I would not be staying. Both determined and kind, she offered that if I allowed her to clean the room across the hall, I would change my mind. While I and my family waited, a little sprite of a woman approached me. "I'm Miss Gwen, sweetie, and we will care for you. Don't be afraid, angel." Her smile and her hug warmed me, so when they wheeled me across the hall, I took one look at the cheerful yellow walls and said, "I'll take it." Elena introduced herself, and from that time on, she became my caregiver and my advocate. I had but to ask, and she arranged for me to have it. Jason from Physical Therapy explained all the goals he had for me and how each exercise was to my benefit. His empathetic yet firm approach instilled confidence in me that I would indeed improve. We chuckled and talked our way up and down the halls and even through rather painful maneuvers. The young lady behind the next gigantic smile was Abreale from Occupation Therapy. I enjoyed all my time with her and learned that going home did not have to be so frightening. Along with Megan who helped my husband and me learn how to get me into my car, the entire therapy staff was "off the chart" outstanding. A quiet young girl, Autumn, took care of me on Elena's days off. She was sweet and competent. Miss Gwen and I spoke of life as she cared for me through the nights. Katie was the captain of the ship that led me through all the emotional, painful, and even troublesome waters I encountered at Ignite St. Mary's. There seemed to be nothing she wouldn't do to help me. The entire staff had mutual respect for each other, and that respect became an aura that glowed throughout the entire facility. My last day, as I was wheeled toward the front of the building, several staff members cheered and hugged me, gave me a t-shirt and a certificate. I hated to leave and even shed a few tears. I know I'll succeed towards recovery thanks to these people and their constant efforts to provide the best service possible. I have never been so glad that I had faith in those friendly smiles.

The dietary department has been especially helpful in helping me adjust to rehab. I came knowing that I needed a low carb diet and Shera from dietary was extremely helpful in making that transition for me. Then a week into my stay my diet concerns have totally changed and Shera has been back with me to make another transition. Thank you Shera! The physical therapy and occupational therapy departments are excellent! I have been working mostly with Jared in PT and Cassie in OT and they have been really supportive in listening to my needs and helping me on my rehab journey. Recently I spent some time at Ignite Medical Resort. I can honestly say I've never met kinder people. I noticed that they didn't treat or talk to others as if they were patients but more like family. Each department worked together so flawlessly and it was clear that everyone helping their patients did so because they truly cared and not because it was their job. This was my second time to have rehab at this facility, the first time under the name of Ignite. I was treated very well. I will have to say that being short of staff, bells weren't answered as quickly as they needed to be at times. However, I didn't have a big problem with that as I was very soon able to do most things for myself so felt very well taken care of. I don't believe the food was quite as good this time as when I was there in 2018 but I know it would be difficult to cook and deliver meals to that many people three times a day. My Mom became ill while visiting from out of town. After a few weeks in hospital I needed to find a place for her to get strong enough to go home. With help of a social worker we choose Ignite St. Mary's. With none of Moms regular Doctors here I was worried I might make the wrong choice for her. The staff put my mind to rest immediately. They would greet me daily by name and a smile. Everyone one: nurses, aides, physical therapists, hospitality, event coordinator all of them were kind, knowledgeable and engaged! Mom and I both got emotional when we left, it had become home!

My wife was recently discharged from Ignite ST MARYS. She was transferred there basically bed ridden. 4 weeks later she walked out on her own with no help. All of the staff from the aids, nurses, therapists, and the doctors were outstanding. They took care of all of her physical needs as well as her medical needs. The therapists pushed to make improvements but gently. They come up with some creative ways to conduct therapy including waxing a car outside in the sun and air. Can't say thank you to these people enough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ST MARYS to anyone who needs short term physical therapy.

My mother was in the rehab area for a little over 2 weeks. Her therapy, to recover from a broken hip, was outstanding. Her primary therapists were Ami (from Wyoming), Jody and Portia. She was pleased with their caring nature while still pushing her to do the things that would help her mobility and strength. Her overall care was also very good. Her primary caregivers were Elena, Gwen, Myia, Kayleen, Zamalla and Amelia. Mom did have some periods of long response time when she pushed the help button however we attributed that to low staffing not that the staff was unresponsive........they were just very busy. I also want to mention Kassie from the administration area. She was quick to respond and also checked in frequently to see if mom was doing ok. In addition, I interacted with Craig and Diamond at the front desk daily. They are an asset to the facility........pleasant, friendly and efficient with the Co-Vid check in policy (as well as opening that front door for me multiple times a day!) Thank you IMR - St Mary's for the care you gave my mom! PS - areas for improvement: Phone system, TV and mattress/bed
