I can't say enough wonderful things about Arden Courts of Anderson! The entire staff is amazing, compassionate, and dedicated to providing the highest care. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the front office staff. The care team is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and well-educated when it comes to caring for those living with dementia. I was truly impressed with the set up, design, and activities they provide. If you are looking for memory care for a loved one, I highly recommend Arden Courts of Anderson.

I went to visit my mother last Monday, and she had very swollen legs. I went to tell the aide about it and she caught an attitude with me saying, "I dont know why you are telling me im not a nurse" so I went to find [name removed] and she told me that if I want to discuss my mothers care then I need to schedule a care conference up front. I am so tired of the neglectful attitude of this facility.

My father was lying in a bed, completely saturated in urine on thursday and then I came to visit again on friday and his bed sheets were covered in dry urine. He smells of urine, and the aides refuse to get him to the dining room for dinner when I request them to. I tried to schedule a care conference with [name removed] (DON), and I never got a reply. Every time I try to find her in the facility, she is either in the nurses' station with the door closed or she is out of the facility. And it stinks because I really need to go over important medical information with her. I was pitched a great facility but it is turning out as the opposite. DONT PAY FOR THIS FACILITY.

Some aides terrific some horrible. Nursing inconsistent except for those employed by Arden. What was a 5 star facility for me has changed drastically over past 6 months.

I was visiting in the area and went to the Easter egg hunt, what an amazing event!

I posted 3 years ago (see review below), and am still extremely happy (actually more so) with the care that my mother is receiving. The support is there not only for the residents, but for family members as well. Again, living 300 miles away, with no other family members in the area, I rest assured that Mom is very well cared for, both physically and emotionally. There are 6 hours of various structured activities scheduled throughout the day to help keep the residents engaged and active. The staff are always available to answer and questions or concerns. As a family member, you have 24 hour access to the facility, meaning you can check in on your loved one at any time. The Executive Director has put together a dedicated team of staff and full-time caregivers, meaning a consistent staff that knows and treats your loved one with respect and compassion. I would highly recommend Arden Courts of Anderson.

My husband has been at Arden Courts Promedica Memory Care for 13 months. The Executive Director, Shannon Schwarm and head nurse, Brandy Sprague are as helpful as anyone could ask for. In fact all the management staff are super. All of their nurses are very good and most of the Aides are terrific. Yes there is one now and then who could do better but I feel 99% is a pretty good rating and that is what I would give them. The activities director, Carol, takes special time to assist those who have vision problems (my husband is blind). This makes them feel they are a part of what is going on. Activities give the residents something to look forward to. As long as the management and nurses stay the same at this facility I cannot imagine going anywhere else.

This would have been a place for my Father-in-Law to consider since it was so taxing on my Mother-in-Law to take care of him when he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. He fought it for two years however passed away last December. In honor of him, we have participated and contributed donations to the events that Arden Courts has held during the calendar year. Their community outreach events includes the Longest Day yard sale and Raise-A-Glass, Raise Awareness for Alzheimer's. Arden Courts ProMedica does an excellent job in organizing fundraising events for the local community.

My brother and I toured Arden Courts of Anderson with Carolyn a couple of months ago. The facility was on point and beautiful. The knowledge she shared was enlightening and overwhelming all at the same time. The Arden Courts community reminded of us the community we saw on youtube in Europe. I'm not easily overwhelmed or impressed, medically. You see I'm an ER doctor. I was both with my consult and tour. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post a review. I just came across all the paperwork again, with a google review card. Arden Courts Anderson deserves a review. Unfortunately, my family and circumstance can't afford their services, but they are top notch in dementia care!

I have been a volunteer at the Arden Courts of Anderson for about 2 1/2 years. I assist Carol, the Activities Director, in any way I can. I also mingle with the residents: walking with them, talking with them and just lending an ear to what's on their minds. During my day, I can also interact with many of the staff, from those who work in the kitchen, to the maintenance man, the cleaners and the staff who directly assist the residents. It has been my observation that everyone who works at this facility treats the residents with patience and kindness. I have never seen any staff person be mean or short-tempered with a resident. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to a family member or friend if they were in need of the kind of assistance this facility offers. Dan Kirwin

My mom was in Arden Courts a few years ago and they took good care of her. She would play the piano while she was there even though she could not recognize who we were, or could no longer read the music. She would just play from memory without a hitch. I just recently started volunteering there, and noticed a nameplate on the piano that was was dedicated to my mom. I have no idea where the piano or the plaque came from but it touched my heart. I think they are a very kind and caring group, and are diligent in their work.

Arden Court is a great place for your loved one with dementia. My wife has been there since mid-January . The care people have done a great job with my wife. They check one her at a regular basis to make sure she is doing ok. They dress her and helps her shower on a regular basis. She attends functions in the community center and/or the craft room. These activities help keep her physical wellbeing and help to sharpen her memories skills. For my wife the music played during the activities brings back memories for her (and me). She really enjoys the time during the activities. The meals are regular and very nutritious. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved one with any form of dementia. You can feel safe that your loved is being cared for at all times.

We recently learned of Arden Courts when our mother needed a place to go when being released from the hospital. Shannon and Anna moved mountains to help make that happen. They were so helpful during a difficult and stressful time. Once our mother was at Arden Courts we saw that they had done everything to make her feel welcome even trimming shrubs outside her window so that she would have a view of the flowers outdoors. I was so touched that they thought of small details such as this. The building is so clean and has a "homey" feel to it. The entire staff at Arden Courts have been friendly and helpful with all of our requests and needs. Thank you Arden Courts!

My husband John has lived at Arden Courts in Anderson Twp since May of this year 2021. Our whole family is very pleased, especially while we were all adjusting. The separation anxiety for me as his spouse was tough and John was a real trooper and the staff loved him; they still do. He seems well adjusted and we know he is in good hands. Arden Courts has also catered to his activity level (John was diagnosed with FTD when he was only 58) and purchased disc golf nets for not only us, but anyone who cares to engage their loved ones. We love Arden Courts of Anderson Twp. We appreciate all of the staff for their dedication and for going the extra mile on all levels.

My mom has been at Arden for a year and a half. Recently we spent the night a few times as she had just had some elective surgery done. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful to us. During the night I heard a few residents get up and wander and the attentiveness and care the staff provided to them during the night was impressive. They are developing a great team and the extra attention they are giving to get to know each resident and their families is greatly appreciated by us. We consider the staff an extended family for our mom and are extremely grateful for the loving care they are providing for her.

I would like to compliment the entire hardworking, compassionate staff at Arden Courts of Anderson. My mother has been a resident for almost two years. Everyone treats her with such kindness and respect and makes us feel welcome whenever we are there. Most importantly, the staff has also taken the time to get to know about Mom - where she is now and her life before dementia. The facility is beautiful and always immaculate. We especially love the walkways in the courtyard and the gazebo swing. I would highly recommend Arden of Anderson.
August 2020
My mother has been at Arden Courts of Anderson for close to 5-1-2 years. Honestly, there were some major issues there a year ago which you may have heard about (or others have commented about), but the new staff have turned the place back around in a very short time. The caregivers there are extremely kind and attentive to the residents. The daily activities are structured and varied, and the activities staff encourage the residents to participate. The facility itself is always clean, has recently been refurbished, and the layout with 4 individual dining and living room areas make for a more home-like atmosphere. Food is prepared fresh daily on-site. The staff is also very supportive of the family members who are dealing with the hardships of a loved one with dementia. Living 300 miles away (with no other family in the area), I rest easily knowing my mother is in good hands. Actually the reason I have not moved her closer is that she is so very content there, plus I know I could not find as caring and as nice of a facility-staff (and I live in a large metropolitan area with numerous facilities). I highly recommend Arden Courts of Anderson if you have a family member in need of quality memory care.

As a fellow colleague and Admissions Director at The Alois Alzheimer Center, we have a wonderful relationship working together in the dementia and senior industry with Arden Courts! They are putting their residents and families at the forefront on their journeys

Ardent Courts is resident focused with an emphasis on maintaining dignity and respect for those whose care they have been entrusted. My mother-in-law is a resident and the administration-staff has been fantastic to deal with. While its not the same as living at home, Ardent Courts does a really good job of creating a home-like environment.

My husband and I recently toured and then moved my mother in law into this facility, all I can say is WOW! I have been in healthcare for 26+yrs and my first impression was fantastic....very friendly administration, staff, nurses and residents. The facility is always nicely maintained and clean...We absolutely have confidence that our family member is being well cared for. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with Alzheimers/dementia issues. Update to on this review 5-3-18 A yr. later and we are still just as pleased as day one that we placed her here, the staff always keeps us informed of any changes, and are always so friendly I once again give it 5 stars and highly recommend them.

My Dad has been there 46 months, and I am still pleased with your staff. The caregivers are uniformly caring, friendly and respectful towards the patients. The nursing staff is always aware of my Dad's status, and several of them have gone above and beyond the call of duty in trying to get situations resolved. The dedication I see is present in everyone the cleaning staff and the way they keep everything clean and fresh smelling, the cooking staff and the meals they prepare, Jill and Paula in their wide range of activities and the personalized attention they give. I highly recommend Arden Courts to anyone needing your special services.

My Mother was here 9 years ago. At that time everything was wonderful until we paid and she was settled in. Then it started. When I visited they were grossly under staffed and the girls on night duty were very young and totally inexperienced. She was there about one month and I got a call at 9:30 pm to come and get her because she was up wondering. I had to go and insist they call the director to get permission for her to stay until the next day to allow me time to make other arrangements. I have never forgotten that night and probably never will. I suggest you get in writing the patient to staff ratio. Better yet don't take your loved one here. I wrote them a letter at the time this happened and never heard a word.
