Laurel Oaks Assisted Living Home is absolutely amazing! I recently took a tour of this cozy environment, and fell in love. This property is home to approximately 12 residents, in both, private and semi-private rooms. It also houses both men and women. Residents in this setting receive home cooked meals, have activity and craft time, which is usually focused around what the residents enjoy doing, and they even have a small walking trail on the premises for keeping active and mobile. The staff is very attentive to the needs and wants of the residents, I was surprised and very impressed, while watching one of the staff using Sign Language to speak to a resident. That is something that not all Assisted Living homes provide, and that gives Laurel Oaks a leg up on the competitors. Along with arts and crafts, Laurel Oaks offers Bible study with a local lady from the area, Crocheting, Puzzles, Trivia games, and Music. Residents can participate in chair exercises to keep the body moving, or help staff with cooking or baking. No matter the interest, staff really go above and beyond to give the residents that live here an excellent quality of life, after all, that is what is most important.
