Cherlaine Guidry was so nice and understanding when my mom and I were looking for her next place. After meeting her and getting a tour, we knew the search was over. My mom has been at The Gardens of Bellaire for 6 weeks now. The staff is great and my mom is happy.

Making a decision to move into assisted living isn't easy. Beyond looking at floor plans, care plans you look for cleanliness, great amenities, responsiveness, professional staff members and a place you can call home. The Gardens has great leaders who instill a great culture. A culture of a "Community" They are tenured and passionate. Ms. Cherlaine, Shemika, Patrick and Sedrick are an amazing team and they are focused on their extended family at the Gardens. If you are looking for a place for your parents or for yourself swing by and take a tour. We visited 7 places and we are happy thus far.

From the first day, my experience with the Gardens is Bellaire has been wonderful and a stark contrast from other places we've sought care or residence for my dad. Starting with a call in the afternoon on a Friday, Cherlaine welcomed me to come by at the last minute to see the place. When I got there, she gave me a tour and we sat and chatted about all the necessary details, but I also started learning immediately new resources and information across the board for helping get my dad the care he needs-Cherlaine is truly a wealth of information regarding elderly care. A resident stopped in to join our chat and I ended up staying for two hours. That resident and several others I met were very clearly happy at the Gardens. It was clear from the start that they feel at home and as if they are a part of a family. Sinnce moving in my dad has quickly become a welcome part of that family. Cherlaine, Shamika, the wellness center, and anyone we have dealt with have been helpful walking us, with ease, through processes we know nothing about-most everyone we have worked with has been at the Gardens for 10+ years (again, such a stark contrast from other facilities that seemed to have high turnover). I have never felt like a burden or nuisance for checking in with questions or suggestions. My dad is eating better than he has in years and is socializing with peers he enjoys (and can commiserate with about the aging process) on a daily basis. In a short period of time, some of my dad's new friends have become friends of mine as well. Caring for my aging parents has been harder and a steeper learning curve than I anticipated and we still have many hurdles ahead. However, I feel so much peace knowing a suitable home for my dad, where he feels cared for and surrounded by support, is settled business.

When we came to The Gardens Of Bellaire, our family needed help. We toured many facilities but nothing felt more homey than the Garden of Bellaire. Cherlaine and the whole team at Gardens of Bellaire was there to support us. They made everything easy. We are so grateful to them. The whole place is very welcoming. The food is good. The staff is warm and conscientious. The decision to move into assisted-living is not an easy one. However, Gardens of Bellaire made it feel right.

Assessment of GB and the move-in experience was refreshingly favorable. Cherlaine was a delight to work with. Very open, empathetic, and intentional with recognizing and acting upon Mom's needs. I would like to see more consistency in quality of food, but otherwise Mom's first month experience has been consistent with initial impressions!

My first visit with Cherlaine Guidry was truly the number one reason our family was impressed with the facility. Her warmth, knowledge and overall genuine care for the residents is so apparent. Everyone has been so welcoming to my father and has helped to make his transition to this senior community so positive. We are so happy he is there and in the best place for this season of his life!

Smart and good sense of humor - she is the total package. And a shout out to the fantastic onsite physical therapist Sohini! What a great job she’s done with my mom during her ups and downs. You are a blessing to my mom and our family! Thank you and keep up the good work. We appreciate your hard work and dedication!❤️ 2021: My mom is loving Gardens of Bellaire. They are also handling the COVID situation well with "common sense" visitation regulations. I can't say enough good about Cherlaine Guidry who is one of the facility directors. She is like family to us. Lastly, I visited higher-end facilities but the left me "cold" and I knew they weren't a good fit for my mom. Well done to all the staff at Gardens of Bellaire for making the facility such a warm and welcoming place for my mom!

I am not, nor do I have anyone living at The Gardens of Bellaire, however, I have to extend a huge thanks and kudos to staff members. My vehicle died....as in I had to find the safest place to pull over and also one that would cause the least problems in a high traffic area. I literally rolled into their parking lot and was able to get the car to the side. Then spent almost 2 hours trying to get a tow. Did I mention it was close to 100 degrees? One lady brought me a bottle of chilled water. Another came over to check on me and offer commiseration. If the staff is half as caring to their patients as they were to a stranger, then this is the place to be. Thank you Ladies!

After a significant health challenge, my brother was in need of a caring, quality home to allow him to live safely and comfortably. After meeting with Cherlaine at the Gardens, we felt we had found our place. I was concerned how he would adapt and be welcomed, as he is a special needs man and Cherlaine said we love without reason. After being there 3 months, he has thrived, in involved, and happy. Stephanie Gonzales is an outstanding nurse and leader and always goes the extra mile. Also, so grateful Sonia Nix and others arranged for the Covid vaccine for residents fairly early on. The social worker, Nicole is always kind. The front desk staff, Miss Judy, Miss Mary and the others are so helpful. The therapists are fantastic! My dear friend was transferred to the Gardens of Bellaire Skilled Nursing Department after a stay at Methodist Hospital. The social worker at Methodist Hospital said she had received go reviews from patients she had sent there before. All through I was unable to visit her due to the pandemic rules, the staff in skill nursing made it possible for me to visit her via telephone and video calls. I could see an improvement in her and new she was getting the treatment she needed. The staff kept me updated on her condition and treatment. I always knew what was going on. The staff was wonderful and caring. Kudos to the Skill Nursing Staff. It was because of you that I decided to move my friend to the Assistant Living Department when she was discharged. I was introduced to Cherlaine Davis of the Assistant Living Department, who has been a God send to me. She has been their for me in every way possible, weather mentally or physically, assisting me with this transition. I have met some of the staff in other areas and in Assistant Living and I am very pleased with the care she is getting. I feel she is in a good place where the staff is loving, caring people. Continue to take good care of her. May God continue to bless you all.

Happy to give my highest rating to The Gardens of Bellaire! My Dad has lived in the memory care facility for a year, and hes the happiest Ive seen him in a long time. The staff are kind, caring, and attentive (my wife and I love them!), and my Dad loves the attention from them and from the other female residents (who outnumber the men). The staff calls me with any issues even if theyre minor. He eats regularly and gained his weight back. The memory care rooms at The Gardens of Bellaire are in the same building as the assisted living residences, but in a wing of the building with controlled access so that the residents dont accidentally wander off. My father has his own room with a private bathroom, and the bathroom has a small closet to store supplies like extra towels, soap, etc. The Gardens of Bellaire has a private party room (seats about 15 people) that we reserved for his birthday at no additional charge. And in case youre wondering, The Gardens of Bellaire neither flooded nor lost power during Hurricane Harvey. All in all, we have been very, very pleased with The Gardens of Bellaire.

I absolutely love the staff at The Gardens; each and every person with whom Ive interacted has been welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive to requests. My dad has been at The Gardens since March and I couldnt be happier with his care. He feels safe and content surrounded by the attentive and compassionate care provided at The Gardens. Tiffany is one of his caregivers, someone who brings a smile wherever she goes, and spreads that happiness even through the vacuum of my dads Alzheimers Disease. Seeing his eyes twinkle and a smile on his face is better than Christmas. Tiffany and so many more at The Gardens are truly passionate about what they do—just the kind of people a family hopes for when faced with entrusting the care of a loved one to a nursing facility. Not only is the clinical staff wonderful, the dining room personnel are always helping Dad eat what he can, with an encouraging smile and determined spoonful. Even the administrative staff deserves kudos for their premier customer service, always ready and willing to help with paperwork, insurance, and financial matters. We especially appreciated the help of Jennifer Davenport, Latisha, and Heather Hess—incredibly timely in their responsiveness and going the extra mile to help. My family and I are so grateful for the exemplary service of the Gardens of Bellaire Team. Thank you!

This place is amazing! Everyone there is very helpful to my mother, who has been there for over a year. They are friendly, loving, professional, have an incredible understanding of everyone's needs. We feel blessed that we found The Gardens of Bellaire, where my mother calls her place. Our only regret is that we did not bring my mother here sooner. An addendum to my post and my mother is still so happy at the Gardens of Bellaire. My husband has been in the skilled nursing unit at the Gardens of Bellaire since January. We looked at a dozen nursing homes and I am so grateful that we were able to get him into this home. The nursing staff, aides and support staff are not only extremely competent, they are also caring and compassionate. He has received outstanding medical care and attention. My husband also raves about the food! This has been a tough transition for him but he now receives the care he requires in a friendly, clean and lovely spot. He is more comfortable than he has been since his first stroke three and a half years ago, thanks the Gardens of Bellaire.

My mom has lived at Gardens since 2013 in the Assisted Living area. She is busy all the time with the activities they do. When you come in the door, there is always something going on. It is very much a community. The children of the residents also get to know other residents so they all meet during holiday parties, etc. The people that work there are very helpful and at this point, feel like extended family. My mom is probably more social than she has ever been, because she has friends there and is always playing a game or enjoying some entertainer. They have shopping shuttles every week and, generally, an outing each week. There are places closer to me that she could live, but she won't be moving because she is happy at the Gardens of Bellaire.

I have been very impressed with The Gardens of Bellaire, even though my father ended up not living in the facility. My Korean War vet Dad has some unique challenges, which made him not a good fit. The dedicated employee I was dealing with, Lisa Stelly, delivered the tough news that Dad was not approved with grace. She went above and beyond, recommending a totally different, group home option, that ended up being a perfect fit for Dad. But for her, we'd still be looking and Dad would still be in not a great place. You could tell she really cared about Dad and our family, deeply grateful to have crossed paths with her. The Gardens of Bellaire clearly hires staff that cares deeply about the senior lives they care for!
