My mother in law previously lived in two different assisted living facilities in the West University/Bellaire area and was overwhelmed with the size and frequent staff turnover. Cherlaine greeted us warmly for the initial walk through at The Gardens of Bellaire and spent a day helping with the move in and introductions to other residents and staff. Tuscany Village was the best experience i have ever had in rehabilitation. Everyone was so caring helpful and kind, and I mean all stuff from top to bottom the administrator was so very helpful thank you Kayla. My nurses and aids were the best ever, the therapy department work extensively and with great compassion. The food was awesome and I was in complete shock at how great it was Thank you all to the amazing hard working stuff I fell in love with all of you the laundry service was awesome I got my clothes back in about 2 to 3 hours every time the maintenance helped me alot with my bed and then later with my chair and the environmental staff was great

Transitioning a loved one to assisted living can be an arduous process, but the director on site, Ms. Cherlaine Guidry, held our hands and guided our family through the process in easy, short order! Our 97yo mom was apprehensive at first but changed her heart after Shemika Thomas' delightful visit for the in-home assessment of her physical capabilities. Both Dee Medina & Patrick Harris were champs at getting the room ready, making move-in a snap. It's so nice to bring your own things, like an apartment, not a hospital room. And the staff we've met throughout the place are so nice and caring for each person living there. The activities are fun, the restaurant is very good, and our mom's demeanor has improved being around more people who share the same range of history she's experienced. We highly recommend you visit the Gardens of Bellaire when the time arises.

It has been a wonderful experience, start to finish, getting my mom onto the waiting list and then ultimately moved in to the Gardens of Bellaire. Every member of the staff is friendly, helpful and has gone out of their way to make her feel welcome and to make the process smooth for both of us. In addition to the caring staff, the sunny and bright rooms and the good food, the other residents are happy and welcoming. It’s like college for older people!

My ex-partner needed to find an assisted living center for the next chapter of his life. From our initial introduction to The Gardens of Bellaire back in March 2024 to move-in just this week, Director of Marketing Cherlaine Guidry has been with us every step of the way. She is the eyes, ears and HEART of this facility and a true Earth angel for the residents here. We had looked at several assisted living centers in the area and were frustrated with the sterileness and coldness of these facilities. We saw The Gardens driving home and decided to just pop in without an appointment. Cherlaine greeted us warmly, rearranged her schedule to meet with us and didn’t give us a hard sell with glossy marketing materials. The Gardens just felt so different from other places. It is warm and inviting, not clinical. She let the residents do the talking about their experiences here and, to a person, everyone said they were here because of Cherlaine. We took a tour, chatted with more residents and staff, and residents eagerly showed us their rooms. Cherlaine and her amazing team of nurses, caregivers, therapists, lifestyle and dining room staff all have an average of 10 years or more working here. Cherlaine has been at The Gardens for 15 years. That’s unheard of in this kind of work. She has helped to build a true community here. Residents look happy and involved. There is always something going on. The staff of The Gardens is AMAZING, but Cherlaine is the connective tissue that makes The Gardens so much more than just an assisted living center. Cherlaine explained the facilities, services, costs, etc. in an easy and thoughtful manner. Everything just felt right, so we asked to be put on a waiting list for the next available room. The Gardens, as I learned, stays full from referrals from the residents. Families are involved. Cherlaine knows everyone, their families, medical issues, special needs, etc. and makes things happen. She kept us informed of the wait status, invited us to lunch and events so we could get a feel for daily life. When a room was available, she called us immediately. My partner had a medical emergency while I was out of town and Cherlaine stepped in, went to his residence, packed his bags and set up a bed in his new room in advance of the scheduled movers for the following week so he would have the care he needed. She coordinated all of his needs with the team and got him settled in while I was away. There are so many details not appropriate to share in this review, but Cherlaine was aware and involved and made a difficult situation seamless and safe. Cherlaine was born to be a caregiver. In her role as marketing director, she just makes EVERYTHING work. She is focused, a great communicator, juggles endless details and is very proactive in meeting the needs of all of her residents, all while introducing potential residents to this community and answering their many questions. She is loved by the residents, their families and the staff and I can’t imagine this place running so smoothly without her. She breathes kindness and care into everything she does and is central to this facility feeling like home. I am her newest fan and am grateful for her efforts personally and in coordinating her team who have all made my partner feel welcome so quickly. Because of people like Cherlaine, The Gardens of Bellaire is not your typical assisted living facility. It’s people who make a place a home and, based on everyone’s long tenure here, I know it is a calling for this team. Cherlaine being a hands-on marketing director, knowing every facet of this facility, plus her big mama bear heart is why we chose The Gardens. She is intimately involved and her contributions make a tremendous difference here. She is the very best at internal marketing, which is critical to her residents’ well-being and happiness. Do ask for Cherlaine Guidry if you are looking for the VERY BEST in assisted living care. I am so impressed and cannot recommend this facility enough. Importantly, my partner feels that this is exactly where he needs to be.

We moved my grandmother to the Gardens of Bellaire from another facility. We have now been there for about nine months, and the Gardens has alleviated so much stress. She receives personalized and consistent quality care. While other facilities nearby might appear fancier, the Gardens has significantly improved her quality of life. We couldn't be happier with the move we made.

My dad moved into the Gardens of Bellaire 6 months ago and it's been a wonderful experience for him. Having been diagnosed with alzheimers disease, I was anxious about finding just the right place where he'd be comfortable and happy and get the best care. The staff here is incredibly personable and attentive to his needs. He enjoys the many activities, music programs and special outings, but what he'd tell you is his favorite thing is the food! Such a varied and delicious menu for every meal. I love that so much of the staff has been here for ten or more years; that says a lot about their commitment to the residents and devotion to their job. I also like that it's not a place with hundreds of residents. There's definitely an air of community here. So very thankful to have found the Gardens of Bellaire!

Making a decision to move into assisted living isn't easy. Beyond looking at floor plans, care plans you look for cleanliness, great amenities, responsiveness, professional staff members and a place you can call home. The Gardens has great leaders who instill a great culture. A culture of a "Community" They are tenured and passionate. Ms. Cherlaine, Shemika, Patrick and Sedrick are an amazing team and they are focused on their extended family at the Gardens. If you are looking for a place for your parents or for yourself swing by and take a tour. We visited 7 places and we are happy thus far.

From the first day, my experience with the Gardens is Bellaire has been wonderful and a stark contrast from other places we’ve sought care or residence for my dad. Starting with a call in the afternoon on a Friday, Cherlaine welcomed me to come by at the last minute to see the place. When I got there, she gave me a tour and we sat and chatted about all the necessary details, but I also started learning immediately new resources and information across the board for helping get my dad the care he needs-Cherlaine is truly a wealth of information regarding elderly care. A resident stopped in to join our chat and I ended up staying for two hours. That resident and several others I met were very clearly happy at the Gardens. It was clear from the start that they feel at home and as if they are a part of a family. Sinnce moving in my dad has quickly become a welcome part of that family. Cherlaine, Shamika, the wellness center, and anyone we have dealt with have been helpful walking us, with ease, through processes we know nothing about-most everyone we have worked with has been at the Gardens for 10+ years (again, such a stark contrast from other facilities that seemed to have high turnover). I have never felt like a burden or nuisance for checking in with questions or suggestions. My dad is eating better than he has in years and is socializing with peers he enjoys (and can commiserate with about the aging process) on a daily basis. In a short period of time, some of my dads new friends have become friends of mine as well. Caring for my aging parents has been harder and a steeper learning curve than I anticipated and we still have many hurdles ahead. However, I feel so much peace knowing a suitable home for my dad, where he feels cared for and surrounded by support, is settled business.

Cherlaine Guidry and Shemika Thomas competently run a tight ship. Caring for our loved ones is so difficult for so many reasons and helping to choose or choosing a place for them to stay is just another hard part. We looked at the most expensive places in Houston and other comparably priced places and the choice was clear. What I think stands out is that Cherlaine clearly feels that the Gardens of Bellaire is a home that a lot of people share. She cares about the details and the big picture; who does that? In today's U.S. healthcare environment which is barely tolerable; she understands what it means to provide the best care needed right now for who lives there right now. I hope they have a room for you when your family needs one.

After searching for months I finally found the perfect place for my mom. I visited nearly a dozen facilities and Gardens of Bellaire was hands down the best choice. The residents are active and friendly. The place is very well kept and up to date. The staff is amazing. Cherlaine and Shemika made me feel secure in the knowledge that my mom would be safe and well cared for. Mom did not want to have to leave her home but she adjusted quickly, became integrated into the community, and has made friends. She even gave rave reviews to the food. I’m so glad we found this place.

Assessment of GB and the move-in experience was refreshingly favorable. Cherlaine was a delight to work with. Very open, empathetic, and intentional with recognizing and acting upon Mom's needs. My dad had become quite weak from an illness and wasn’t quite ready to go home, but didn’t need to be in the hospital any longer. The Gardens of Bellaire offered us the perfect solution. For a few weeks, my mom and dad could both stay while he got a little assistance and physical therapy. My mom could be with him and no one had to cook or clean. Cherlaine was amazingly kind, and my parents said everyone was equally nice. The place was clean and well kept. My parents enjoyed the meals and the other residents. I wish I could give 10 stars. The staff were lifesavers, literally.

I am not, nor do I have anyone living at The Gardens of Bellaire, however, I have to extend a huge thanks and kudos to staff members. My vehicle died....as in I had to find the safest place to pull over and also one that would cause the least problems in a high traffic area. I literally rolled into their parking lot and was able to get the car to the side. Then spent almost 2 hours trying to get a tow. Did I mention it was close to 100 degrees? One lady brought me a bottle of chilled water. Another came over to check on me and offer commiseration. If the staff is half as caring to their patients as they were to a stranger, then this is the place to be. Thank you Ladies!

Last month I moved my dad into The Gardens of Bellaire. Everyone has been so nice and attentive! Cherlaine was wonderful! She helped me to coordinate moving in my dad’s furniture and even helped set up his apartment. She has been available every time I needed her or had a question. After a significant health challenge, my brother was in need of a caring, quality home to allow him to live safely and comfortably. After meeting with Cherlaine at the Gardens, we felt we had found our place. My dear friend was transferred to the Gardens of Bellaire Skilled Nursing Department after a stay at Methodist Hospital. The social worker at Methodist Hospital said she had received go reviews from patients she had sent there before. All through I was unable to visit her due to the pandemic rules, the staff in skill nursing made it possible for me to visit her via telephone and video calls. I could see an improvement in her and new she was getting the treatment she needed. The staff kept me updated on her condition and treatment. I always knew what was going on. The staff was wonderful and caring. Kudos to the Skill Nursing Staff. It was because of you that I decided to move my friend to the Assistant Living Department when she was discharged. I was introduced to Cherlaine Davis of the Assistant Living Department, who has been a God send to me. She has been their for me in every way possible, weather mentally or physically, assisting me with this transition. I have met some of the staff in other areas and in Assistant Living and I am very pleased with the care she is getting. I feel she is in a good place where the staff is loving, caring people. Happy to give my highest rating to The Gardens of Bellaire! My Dad has lived in the memory care facility for a year, and he’s the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time. The staff are kind, caring, and attentive (my wife and I love them!), and my Dad loves the attention from them and from the other female residents (who outnumber the men). The staff calls me with any issues even if they’re minor. He eats regularly and gained his weight back. The memory care rooms at The Gardens of Bellaire are in the same building as the assisted living residences, but in a wing of the building with controlled access so that the residents don’t accidentally wander off. My father has his own room with a private bathroom, and the bathroom has a small closet to store supplies like extra towels, soap, etc. The Gardens of Bellaire has a private party room (seats about 15 people) that we reserved for his birthday at no additional charge. And in case you’re wondering, The Gardens of Bellaire neither flooded nor lost power during Hurricane Harvey. All in all, we have been very, very pleased with The Gardens of Bellaire.

I absolutely love the staff at The Gardens; each and every person with whom I’ve interacted has been welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive to requests. My dad has been at The Gardens since March and I couldn’t be happier with his care. He feels safe and content surrounded by the attentive and compassionate care provided at The Gardens. Tiffany is one of his caregivers, someone who brings a smile wherever she goes, and spreads that happiness even through the vacuum of my dad’s Alzheimer’s Disease. Seeing his eyes twinkle and a smile on his face is better than Christmas. Tiffany and so many more at The Gardens are truly passionate about what they do”just the kind of people a family hopes for when faced with entrusting the care of a loved one to a nursing facility. Not only is the clinical staff wonderful, the dining room personnel are always helping Dad eat what he can, with an encouraging smile and determined spoonful. Even the administrative staff deserves kudos for their premier customer service, always ready and willing to help with paperwork, insurance, and financial matters. We especially appreciated the help of Jennifer Davenport, Latisha, and Heather Hess”incredibly timely in their responsiveness and going the extra mile to help. My mom had back surgery and stayed at the Gardens of Bellaire for approximately 10 days after her surgery. Staff took excellent care of her and she loved the food. The Gardens was essential to her recovery.

This place is amazing! Everyone there is very helpful to my mother, who has been there for over a year. They are friendly, loving, professional, have an incredible understanding of everyone's needs. We feel blessed that we found The Gardens of Bellaire, where my mother calls her place. Our only regret is that we did not bring my mother here sooner. An addendum to my post and my mother is still so happy at the Gardens of Bellaire. She enjoys all the entertainment, singing, going out on lunch outings, playing bingo, celebrating all the holidays with the most amazing staff. My family loves this wonderful place!

My mom has lived at Gardens since 2013 in the Assisted Living area. She is busy all the time with the activities they do. When you come in the door, there is always something going on. It is very much a community. The children of the residents also get to know other residents so they all meet during holiday parties, etc. The people that work there are very helpful and at this point, feel like extended family. My mom is probably more social than she has ever been, because she has friends there and is always playing a game or enjoying some entertainer. They have shopping shuttles every week and, generally, an outing each week. There are places closer to me that she could live, but she won't be moving because she is happy at the Gardens of Bellaire.

I have been very impressed with The Gardens of Bellaire, even though my father ended up not living in the facility. My Korean War vet Dad has some unique challenges, which made him not a good fit. The dedicated employee I was dealing with, Lisa Stelly, delivered the tough news that Dad was not approved with grace. She went above and beyond, recommending a totally different, group home option, that ended up being a perfect fit for Dad. But for her, we'd still be looking and Dad would still be in not a great place. You could tell she really cared about Dad and our family, deeply grateful to have crossed paths with her. The Gardens of Bellaire clearly hires staff that cares deeply about the senior lives they care for!

My husband has been in the skilled nursing unit at the Gardens of Bellaire since January. We looked at a dozen nursing homes and I am so grateful that we were able to get him into this home. The nursing staff, aides and support staff are not only extremely competent, they are also caring and compassionate. He has received outstanding medical care and attention. My husband also raves about the food! This has been a tough transition for him but he now receives the care he requires in a friendly, clean and lovely spot. He is more comfortable than he has been since his first stroke three and a half years ago, thanks the Gardens of Bellaire.

My mom has been a resident in memory care at Gardens of Bellaire for 15 months. I can’t say enough about the level of care and the wonderful staff who take care of her.
