Reviews The Pointe at Cedar Park
August 2026
I was really impressed with our tour of the Pointe. It was highly recommended to us by an existing care provider. The space was bright and clean, the residents were active and engaged, and super friendly. I was very interested to hear that there is 24 hour healthcare providers onsite, and that third party providers such as OTs, PTs, and speech therapist are coordinated onsite and through a resident’s insurance. I look forward to seeing my loved one move in.

My family member required an Assisted Living environment for several months due to medical need. The Pointe at Cedar Park is an incredibly wonderful facility! The entire staff are professional, kind, caring, and responsive to both my husband and our entire family. The entire Leadership and staff are outstanding.

My mother had been in two different assisted living facilities before we found The Pointe at Cedar Park. The resident to staff ratio was near perfect to ensure she received the extra assistance she needed outside the routine med intervals. All of the staff went above and beyond and the employee turnover was low compared to the other two places. Jessica and her team were excellent in communicating with us and always helping to thinks outside the box for solutions. They worked closely with hospice care and we felt mom was in a safe and caring environment. Many thanks to all the ladies that looked after Mom!

The Pointe at Cedar Park was recommended to us by two experienced home-health nurses. We visited several assisted living facilities before settling on The Pointe. We have been delighted with our decision to move our family member there! She is content, eats well, engages in the many activities and, most importantly, receives excellent medical and rehabilitative services. The facility is clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The size of the single-story facility makes it feel like a family, among the staff as well as the residents. The staff is welcoming and compassionate - they even walk her dog!

Thank you all at The Pointe for taking such great care of our Dad, John S Barron, these past 8 years. Our family knows how much he was loved by everyone. We appreciate the fact that you all went to great extremes to ensure his welfare at all times. Dad was always worried that he would be "warehoused," but our family and the staff made sure he was taken care of everyday during his stay with you. We would like to send a special thank you to Jessica Garza, the Executive Director, Jaime, Cecelia, Wendy and so many others who have taken care of him throughout his Parkinson's disease. Many of you and numerous residents, to include Deane and Tommy, loved Dad and provided much needed support throughout the difficult times with which he was faced. When our family cleaned out his apartment, every staff member came by Dad's room to express their condolences. They knew Dad and our family so well and knew how difficult it was for us to take care of his belongings and close out this last chapter in Dad's life. Jessica, thank you for showing up for Dad's services at Beck Funeral Home. That really meant a lot to us when you showed up. We are also glad you came up to the podium and spoke of the stories of Dad, especially the "respect" story. That story is between us and The Pointe staff. We considered you all "extended family " the whole time Dad was in residence. MSgt Stew Barron, you are now with Mom again, Diana Barron (your Prom Queen.)

I can't say enough good things about the Management and Staff at The Pointe, they are fantastic! My Dad lived there for almost 2 years and received excellent care and support. He liked living there and said it felt like an extended family. When Dad got ill they continued to support us through the Hospice experience.

My mother has been a resident for several years at The Pointe. The care and friendships she had made really made this transition much easier than expected. The staff and other residents are part of her family. The leadership team and staff are great and engaging with both the residents and families.

My mother recently moved to The Pointe at Cedar Park. My hope was that she would feel loved, and be happy. In only two and a half weeks she already feels like she is part of the community. They take very good care of her. She has told me several times that she likes everyone who works there! They notice what she needs and initiate care. Mom told me yesterday that she thinks we picked the right place.

As a RN for the past 26 years I have had the opportununity to be in many communities and meet many leaders. I can honestly say that the Pointe is the best of the best. Wendy, the Executive Director is a seasoned, compassionate nurse leader that places her residents first. What makes it special? 1. Wendy and her team work tirelessly to bring normalcy in the middle of the global pandemic. The residents at The Pointe at Cedar Park are family. From chili cookoffs, Halloween parties and Holiday celebrations they always make sure to bring fun and family to each day. 2. The Care. Having a nurse leading the team, she understands the importance of safety during pandemic and works tirelessly to ensure her team are well trained and equipped with whatever is needed to keep her residents safe. Her team is incredible and treats each resident as family. 3. The Food. Frankie is a master in the kitchen. He makes incredible homemade pizza, chili, healthy foods and desserts. for every occasion. If you are looking for an assisted living in the Cedar Park or Austin area I would highly recomment The Pointe at Cedar Park.

The staff and Director, Wendy, at The Pointe at Cedar Park are wonderful. They create a happy environment for those who live there and the care is very good. They are kind people who care about the elderly. They have a lot of processes in place that help families take care of their loved one. Mom has been there a year and we have had no major issues. Nothing is perfect when a person is elderly, that is often the way life becomes, but The Pointe has made the transition for our family from home to facility very easy.

My mother just moved here , staff are nice and well meaning, however we we have been dealing with several maintenance issues (keys, cable installation, bathroom fixtures), there is no system for submitting or tracking work orders or maintenance requests online, I don't know if management can even track maintenance issues. One week in and we are still waiting for her cable to work. The maintenance guy just tells us he is "working on", all these issues. Mother also complains about the food. A Resident on line portal would be nice, most apartments have them.

We were very happy with the personalized care my Mother in Law received at the Pointe. All the staff went out of their way to be super friendly and professional. They even helped her decorate her room!!! I found it to be a very positive atmosphere. I thought the facility was lovely and sparkling. I especially liked the access to the private courtyard with all the bird feeders and bird baths.

Many activities and caring staff. The environment felt very family and resident friendly. My friends are being well attended to there.
February 2019
My mother was a resident at The Pointe at Cedar Park for nearly 5 years until she passed away recently. She was never happy about needing to be in an assisted living facility after having a stroke and was often very difficult to get along with as a result. However, almost all the staff at The Pointe went out of their way to be kind and understanding with her, often going above and beyond to help make her feel comfortable.

Great place for senior citizens
August 2018
My mother has been a resident of The Pointe at Cedar Park (not to be confused with The Point) since April 2018. She was not thrilled to be moved from an Independent facility into an Assisted Living Facility, but the staff has been very accommodating to her needs and tries to get her involved in all the activities. It’s well maintained and seems to be a good fit for her. I live out of state but travel to see her every 6-8 weeks. I call her everyday and sometimes, as a result of those calls, I have to call the front desk to ask someone to check on her, go hang up her phone, turn off the incessant beeping from her portable oxygen machine, or figure out how to turn on her tv. When Lisa answers the phone I can actually hear her smile on the other end. She is always so friendly and quick to tell me she’s going to run right down and check on my mom. If she can’t go herself she’ll send someone else. She’s even called me from my mother’s room to tell me she’s rebooted her phone and checked all the cables, etc. She puts my mind at ease when I can’t be there. Wendy, the Administrator, answers all my calls and when I bring a concern to her attention she works hard to resolve it to my satisfaction. Because of her my mother was able to get a much better portable oxygen tank from her Hospice provider that is easier for her to handle. That was above and beyond and more than I expected. I would recommend this facility if you have a loved one needing to transition to an assisted living arrangement.

We were searching for assisted living and Wendy was more than helpful answering questions and working to set up a time to come tour. Although we did not end going to The Pointe because of the distance from our house, Wendy was great to work with.

My brother and I looked at several Assisted Living Facilities for our parents and found exactly what we were looking for in The Pointe at Cedar Park. The Pointe is a one-story, warm and homey feeling building with a beautiful interior courtyard. The staff have been patient, kind and caring to my parents during this somewhat difficult transition from independence to assisted living. From the Executive Director to other nurses to the other caretakers, everyone has gone over and above to make sure my parents are safe and cared for. I highly recommend The Pointe.

The Pointe at Cedar Park offers a great experience for residents and families. The food is great and staff is friendly. Definitely recommend this place to families looking for a place.
November 2013
We moved from Virginia and had to find a residence for my Dad. This residence is truly a wonderful home. The private apartment style room is large and roomy. The staff are all kind, helpful, and easily approachable. The food is great (as evidenced by my Dad's weight gain). Cedar Park is a beautiful city and accessible to everything you need without being in the middle of all the big city mess. I would recommend The Pointe at Cedar Park to anyone searching for a place that will care for a loved one with a feeling of home.
