I have comfortably called this place 'Home' for at least a decade. My days are filled with many different activities. Marvelous MAPLEWOOD in Weston , Massachusetts. I have been here for nearly two years. It’s a wonderful place to live, with interesting people and a variety of activities . I’m a former athlete so I like best the pool, where I swim 5 days a week, and Monique’s excellent exercise classes. They happen five days a week. On the sixth there is balloon volleyball. Additionally there’s a gym with all sorts of equipment. At least once a week there is a music performance. A great activities director designs parties and other events. A pub is open three days each week from 4-5:30. Here wine is served or, if you prefer, soda, along with tasty snacks. I’ve found staff to be responsive. Come visit.

I have performed as an entertainer at Maplewood on multiple occasions and have been presenting similar programs at many other senior living communities around Eastern Massachusetts for many years. I am always struck by how warm and welcoming both the staff and residents are, and how beautiful and spotlessly clean are the common areas. The residents present themselves as extremely happy to be there and are invariably a responsive and knowledgeable audience for my programs. I particularly want to mention the Events Coordinator, Jill Rubin, who is attentive to every detail and a delight to work with. I always look forward to my Maplewood performances, as it has become one of my favorite venues!

Earlier this year our next door neighbor and dear friend for over 18 years made a decision to downsize and hopefully simplify her life! She independently and enthusiastically selected Maplewood at Weston as her new home, where one of her dear friends resided. Recently my wife and I visited her to see, first hand, how she was doing. Well, we can not begin to express how pleased and appreciative we are of the very hospitable crew at Maplewood! It was very apparent that the staff knew all the residents by name and greeted them warmly while all the residents had smiles on their faceseveryone was very happy!! The apartments are are well laid out and look extremely nice and comfortable! We dined with our friend and the dining room and cuisine are resort quality along with a serving staff which were attentive, kind and very helpful! I would most definitely recommend this outstanding community. Senior Living Extraordinaire!!!

I visited my friend's grandmother several times at Maplewood in Weston. I do have to say it is one of the nicest facilities i have visited so far. The atmosphere and cleanliness is extraordinary. Attentive staff members and adult activities were very interesting. Memory Care Director was very welcoming, compassionate and loving to residents and to us the family members very supported. Nursing homes and assisted living could be low rated because of the relationship built with residents and family members, but I have to say this unit is an exceptional one due to a great Director who loves her job. Management please continue to do the best to keep good people and to provide them all the tools so staff can be successful to our family members there.

One word that would explain Maplewood is Excellence! Maplewood is a luxurious, clean, and well-maintained Assisted Living Facility, their staff is very warm & friendly, starting from the receptionist, Kim, Neil the chef, Bernardo the E. Director to the wellness staff, Tricia, Naa, Delmy, and all RCA’s. I worked in the kitchen as a waitress in my high school days and came back as a nurse/owner of Mindful Healthcare Agency and I have noticed the care & dedication in the services provided. They are responsive to any resident needs we bring to their attention & they just have their hearts in the right place and for that I highly recommend Maplewood!

Maplewood is an exceptional place that meets a variety of vital needs for their residence and families. I have had connection with retirement, assisted living, nursing home, and memory care facilities for over 47 years. My wife has been employed in elder care for many years. She shares my enthusiasm for Maplewood and can attest to exemplary conditions and care there. One of my friends had been to 3 assisted living locations prior to Maplewood and struggled with his physical and emotional health. Maplewood's care for him has been the best by far of any place he has been. His quality of life has improved dramatically. Since he has arrived, the nursing staff has been fantastic. They do not hesitate to put the extra effort necessary for the residents and are in close contact with the families. The food is great and is eagerly enjoyed by the residents. The cleaning staff and maintenance are very responsive and pleasant to engage with. The receptionists are some of the best I have ever experienced. Any time of the day, they greet callers or visitors with friendliness and practical help. Maplewood is managing the covid conditions with thorough processes and careful safety protocols. The leadership here is exemplary. The Executive Director and all the department leaders present a professional and personal balance that raises the confidence of the employee and residents. The building is neat, clean, and elegant. One of my wife's clients and families relocated to a different location and constantly compares their current situation to Maplewood as the Gold Standard. The available TVs, activities, music, libraries, and even 'General Store' provide a unique experience for residents and visitors. The proximity to the major highways makes this a convenient place to access and visit. Maplewood at Weston has my highest recommendation and confidence. Any family considering senior care would be blessed to connect with a place as caring and responsive as Maplewood.

Do not be fooled by this facility It is beautiful. Really one of the nicest we have seen. However they have some serious problems with staff, safety and quality. We moved my dad in with the highest hopes for compassionate care and socialization. However, it was a disaster. NONE of the services we contacted for were provided. Its not that they did a poor job, they were not provided. No wellness checks, no daily housekeeping, no laundry, no bed making, no mobility assistance - nothing. Every time we asked the front desk we were referred to a different someone who was "off that day". The front desk staff always seemed to be like it was the first 5 minutes on the job, like candid camera - they didn't know anything about their own facility or who to call. No one their could even tell us where to park - I have never seen anything like it. I expected that on move in there would be some sort of on boarding, where the head of every department came by and introduced themselves and explained their role - this would be helpful but they do not have that. It felt like a beautiful, unmanned facility. The only caregivers I ever saw, and I was there daily were private hired by residents, as we did as well. If it were not for our caregiver who was there to help with the transition, I do not know what would have or could have happened to him with such neglect. Further their pharmacy messed up his medication, putting him in the hospital. After 8 days we pulled him out because it was unsafe. Do your self a favor and read employee reviews from indeed or glassdoor. I should have. I am not one to leave reviews and always give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is a unique type of business that has a higher standard - due to the importance of their product - the care and safety of loved ones.

Having lived in and cared for many different homes in our 53 years of marriage, this last year at Maplewood at Weston has felt like a vacation to me. The building is beautiful and our friends and family enjoy visiting us often. The location is easy to find and very convenient for driving to any place that we want to go. The meals are delicious and varied with many choices and courses. The entertainment and programs are of good quality and appeal to many different personalities. The staff is friendly and helpful and the Maplewood aides are very caring. The residents care about each other and like to make new friends. I love the heated indoor swimming pool with views to the outside, and the well equipped well run fitness center. Have an underground garage is a blessing in all kinds of weather. Come and visit us and see how easy life can be!

My mother has been a resident at Maplewood since 2016. The facilities are stunning and the setting is beautiful. Whenever my wife goes there she says "hey, I'd live here in a heartbeat!". Her apartment is lovely with a nice little kitchen. What is key here is the staff. My mother has made true friends with the staff (and residents) at Maplewood... they make her feel like she is part of a true community and family and this is so important to our parents when they enter this phase of their lives. The staff cares about their residents on a very personal level- administration, PT, and exercise staff alike. Prior to this my mother lived with us for years in our two family home. It was a very difficult move on an emotional level for all of us when she transitioned to a new place. We have been relieved that she is now able to live in a warm and comfortable setting as a nonagenarian in a place where the staff truly cares.
