I brought my mom to Aegis Living of Issaquah for respite care — 30 days of transitional care. She was welcomed with open arms. The staff was able to get her settled in within 3 days. The care was great, full nursing staff on site, nice activities, live music and friendly caregivers — and the food was amazing!

I moved my dad up to Washington to live near me in October 2020 after he had lost his wife a year earlier. I was immediately taken with the beautiful grounds and walking spaces at Aegis of Issaquah, the friendly residents, the courteous staff, and delicious, healthy, inventive meals, a must for my dad. We chose the most beautiful room, with a view of the lush grounds, and my dad able to regularly greet bunnies, deer, and songbirds at his spacious windows. It has been over 4 years and Aegis has helped provide a wonderful home for my father and place for me to visit. Aegis helped navigate extremely difficult moments during Covid to keep my dad safe and keep us in communication. They have seen my dad at his best and worst, through mood swings, physical and mental changes, and medical procedures, and helped him navigate the most difficult stage of his life with patience and grace. I have been as impressed with the permanent staff, including Fabia, Chulida, Lanny, Buki, Jackson, Kelvin, and Danielle, as the 24-7 temporary staff brought in after his surgery. Martha, Christina, Ashlyn, Carly, and Brooke have also been fantastic at keeping spirits happy. They even let him host a screening of one of his favorite films and introduce it to the other residents. Aegis has always kept me in the loop and been immediately responsive to my needs. The director, Shannon Sheron, is an angel. Gifted at working with residents with dementia and other ailments, she is also extremely practical when it comes to making a multitude of difficult decisions. She helped give my dad all the freedom and independence he has needed while being sure to keep him safe – not an easy balance. He has been able to enjoy the proximity of all that Gilman Village and nearby wetlands have to offer. My dad and I have enjoyed these sacred bonus years together and Aegis could not have provided a better place to make that happen.

From day one of visiting Aegis Living Issaquah, the genuine hospitality and authenticity of the people was evident. Patty has done a terrific job helping my 93 year aunt make the transition to assisted living. Everytime we visit, there are so many activities going on. My aunt loves living there and we are thrilled with the level of attention and care she receives. I highly recommend Aegis Living Issaquah

The folks at Aegis Issaquah are now our extended family. In July of 2023 our father suffered a stroke. We toured a lot of facilities and thought we'd found the one…. until we toured the gorgeous cottages at Aegis in Issaquah. Wow! The perfect place for our dad. Extremely clean, welcoming staff and a genius layout of the property to ensure a comfortable inclusive environment for its residents. A world renowned chef and staff who interacts with residents and family to confirm an outstanding meal as fine as you'd find at your favorite 5 star restaurant. Every morning the amazing and warm hearted care director Shannon heads up "The Morning Roundup" to discuss the happenings of the previous day/evening and what to achieve today. I can't say enough about Aegis! When we check in at the secure desk in the lobby, we are greeted as if we were there for a family gathering! Please, please add Aegis Issaquah to your list of tours, I promise you won't look anywhere else!

As a mobile notary I travel to many assisted living facilities. Aegis in Issaquah is surrounded by lush pacific mountain trees on a quiet street. As I walked in I was greeted by super kind staff they had an easy computer check in process which I thought was wonderful that gave me a sticker name tag for my visit inside the facility. Once I checked in a staff member walked with me down to my clients apartment! Which was so nice as we got to learn about the fun activities and several different functions of the services offered there! I love the attention to detail and creating safety here for everyone which you can see in one of the photos due to relentless rain! As this is crucial for everyone I'm so happy to have had this visit as I felt really good about my client being here well taken care of and happy in their surroundings! Come on in and check them out today totally recommend for all your loved ones!

My experience with Aegis of Issaquah has been a lovely one with their care for my Mom. I will sum it up with three C's: Community: The Aegis community provides a strong sense of family-get to know the staff and you will find them warm, personable as well as professional. The cottage environment makes a cozy gathering spot for the residents in a family like setting. Activities abound and create a happy atmosphere. Communication: Frequent emails, attentive front desk staff, an activity app of your loved one and support groups for families are great tools to help in your journey with your loved one. Caring: The Care staff went above and beyond to care for my Mom. They were attentive to her needs yet gave her a sense of independence- they really got to know her as a person, not a patient. The Nursing staff was vital and always available for support of Mom and myself - the most compassionate of individuals.

We really like the cottage style campus, which is nice to stroll around. It's also a short walk to Issaquah Commons. The staff is friendly and takes the time to get to know the residents, and the managers have gone above and beyond to care for our family member.

Aegis is a very warm, friendly, and welcoming place to work and to live. The staff is very loving, caring and dedicated towards our residents. Aegis Living Issaquah has a very down to earth, fun, family feel about it. The communities grounds are beautiful and is next to a wetland, and we have been known to see a few bunnies, ducks, and birds walking and flying around our beautiful property. I've loved working here and have enjoyed getting to know the residents and their families!

My mother-in-law spent a month there this Spring under a one-month respite care. It is not a cheap option to do one month, nor is the monthly fee if you're a permanent resident. However, for the quality of care I would not qualify it as an unfair price either. Initially I was concerned as we had no experience with this facility, however the management had recently undergone change and I found the staff to be caring and appreciated the time the executives took with my wife and I to help with the initial stages of dementia our loved one faced. We moved my mother-in-law to a facility closer to us and less expensive, but if cost and distance would not have been factors then we would not have. I think this is the highest recommendation I could give the place is that I felt she was in good hands and would not hesitate to have her there again if our circumstances change. Thank you Patrick, Brenda and the staff.
