My Mom has celebrated 3 years with Brookdale Eastside. This team has heart and it starts with Chris - Director, Nichole - Nursing Administrator, Steve - Engagement Manager and cascades to their staff, and I wish I could name them all. Even with staff and resident turnover, challenging assignments, and all that it takes to care and sustain their 'family', they are willing to assist and they do it with heart. This impresses me greatly as I know their days are not easy. But realize how lucky my Mom is to be here under their care. My sincerest gratitude to team Brookdale Eastside!! Sept 20, 2025 Today, Mom, at 101, helped bake banana bread with Rachel, played cards with her buddy and enjoyed a walk outside with her friend - We are so grateful to the management team and staff - They are all exemplary professionals, they know their clients and treat everyone like family! I Highly recommend Brookdale Eastside if you're considering Assisted Living! 2023 While staffing is a challenge for all businesses, Brookdale East has managed to find very caring staff willing to do all that it takes to provide comfort and support. My mom, 99 years young, really enjoys everyone and all the activities - they keep her engaged and she is never lonely. Thank you Brookdale for making her life fuller, safer and enjoyable!

My sister has lived here for almost a year and she loves the nurses and staff. She has made many friends and always talks about all the events that they have each day. I think Happy Hour is her favorite. She will call me at work and beg me to come! I have been to a couple but I usually am working so I can't get there each week. Brookdale staff and family went above and beyond with the holiday party last weekend. If you missed it I'm sorry because it was a great time! They had all sorts of food, singing, games and decorations! It really felt homey! I am happy that my sister Sue is living here and I believe she is too. The care is wonderful from getting her meds to doing her laundry to helping her to know she is valuable and wanted. I also want to mention the activities that are offered here. I see them showing movies each night and card games, bingo, amongst other activities. Happy hour each week, exercise classes, church services, current events-reading the newspaper to residents. Steve is the best activity director!! They take the residents to the store to shop, they have a hair salon where they can get their hair done once a week (which by the way lifts their spirits as well as helps the residents to feel good about the way they look) The stylist does a wonderful job on my sisters hair every week at a very reasonable price. Chris and Kristyn are awesome too! Anytime my sister has a question or just wants to visit with someone they are always there to listen. I know some of the aides by name because they are wonderful also. They are part of the family atmosphere which is what is needed here! Flo and Nya have made a big impact on me and Sue as they are very cheerful and always willing to lend a helping hand. Keep up the good work Brookdale! I will look in your direction when I can't take care of my home anymore and want a family atmosphere to move to. Thank you all for helping my sister to know she has an extended family here at Brookdale. Oh and btw, the location is awesome! Out of the way but right across the street from stores and restaurants if my sister wants to get out for a bit! Thank you all again and Happy Holidays!

My mother has been a resident here since Augist of 2022 and loves it. She calls it her "hotel". Everytime I visit she is either socializing with other folks or relaxing in her room which has everything she needs. The staff are some of the best i've ever worked with. Everyone is friendly, accomodating and excellent at their job. I would highly recommend this quiet and restful oasis for anyone looking for a new assisted living home for their loved ones.

My Uncle Bob has been cared for here for the past 18 months, recommended by Inspire Care who helped us navigate options. My family and I have been very happy with the facility and manager Chris N. It lived up to the reputation that brought us to Brookdale originally, and his care has been great, everyone has really been great, and under some pretty unusual times with Covid, they were always very reasonable.

The Brookdale East Side staff is consistently in the "chase" and they are catching excellence each and every day! My father became a resident on October 27, 2022 and we have not looked back or have had a single regret since placing him at Brookdale. Dad started in a studio room which is small but we made it work. In February, a deluxe studio room became available and it is wonderful. The most important amenity for us is that my father is able to have his cat, "Leon", live with him at Brookdale East Side. I live close by and visit every day so I am able to do my father's laundry and light housekeeping as well as take care of Leon. Any questions or concerns are addressed as quickly as possible and I can not say enough about how kind and compassionate the staff is to the residents and the visitors and Leon gets very special attention too! When I leave after my visit I have total peace of mind that my father is in very good hands... The same hands that are catching excellence at Brookdale East Side!

My mother was at Brookdale East Side for about 5 months. Our family's experience here was mixed. On the positive side, many staff members were kind and caring. The facility is well maintained (but could use some updating). On the negative side, we had to advocate for my Mom to receive the services promised. For example, she did not always get showers on time and her laundry went unwashed for longer than a week. Communication among the top-level staff was poor, and we often did not know who to talk to about various issues having to do with my Mom's care. The biggest problem came when my Mom had to leave the facility. Brookdale East Side mistakenly charged her for the next month (even after I reminded them to remove her from the auto pay system) and we did not get reimbursed for 27 days, even though the contract states that they must return any money owed within 3 days. I had to make an enormous effort and waste many hours to resolve this issue. It was extremely frustrating. The Director was new at the time and seemed unable to solve what should have been a straightforward issue. Eventually, I had to work with someone in the regional corporate office in Rochester. I never received a formal apology from the facility and they did not make any gesture to acknowledge their mistake. If your family member goes to Brookdale, please be prepared to advocate for them.

My mom has absolutely ’ enjoyed living at this facility, its has a warm and caring environment, its clean and everyone is well taken care of, the staff is wonderful, they go out of their way caring for my mom, she loves the food, the happy hours, the celebration parties. I would compare it to a small private school vs a public school, it's small and very personable. I just love Brookdale east! Thank you for loving my mom!

My mother has been at Brookdale East Side since last June and we couldn't be happier with the care she has received. The entire staff is wonderful and they really do care about the residents. The staff is very responsive to any concern or question you have. The director, Mark has been very helpful and is very accessible. My mother takes part in the many varied activities that are offered and enjoys the company of the other residents. Moving our mother to Brookdale was the best thing we could have done for her. I highly recommend this facility.

Mom has been at Brookdale for almost three years. Those years have seen so many changes - the staff, the residents and of course the coronavirus pandemic. Through it all, all staff members have continued to work diligently to keep life "normal" for her. A daunting task, but I have only seen smiles, caring and good communication through it all. When there is a problem, it is a team effort to solve it; happy moments are shared as well. Am happy to have found community.

The staff is wonderful. The Executive Director Kim is always helpful, pleasant, professional, and willing to help with any needs the resident or family might have. My 95 year old mother has lived here since Jan 2017. March 2019: A large turnover of staff has occurred in the last six months, including the Executive director. We'll re-evaluate and review during the next few months, with the hope that the 'family atmosphere' returns at Brookdale East.
