Early Sunday morning, I visited one of my friends living at Terracina Grand. Upon entering, I checked in and received my pass to enter the facility from an automatic photo identification systemthe system read my body temperature and my face making sure I did not have a fever endangering g my friend or anyone else I might encounter during my visit, and it recognized me from my previous registration and visit. The staff were friendly, welcoming and offered me assistance. The entryway and halls leading to my friend were very clean, inviting and very attractive. I had a great visit w/ my friend. Upon leaving, I checked out in the same way I entered. This system provides the organization w/ ingurmation and additional numbers of guests who might be visiting in case of an emergency and the need for immediate evacuation. I have been to visit other friends, at other similar institutionsTerracina Grand is decorated well, is up to date and not worn; the Check-in system protects residents, employees and guests who visitmany other establishments do not provide a check-in system and are very worn and run down in their overall appearance but still charge their residents a hefty monthly fee similar to the fees charged at Terracina Grand. I feel comfortable that my friend is living in a nice, clean place where she is protected and well attended when she needs it. Thank you!

I took my friend and her cousin over to her apt. in Terracina so that we could have an idea where to put the furniture when she moves in tomorrow. Everything was clean and all the staff was friendly. We had lunch there and the food was good.

The Villa at Terracina had many wonderful loving caregivers, activity directors and nurses; my husband was well taken care of, except when he wasn't. The food is not bad. The facility is physically beautiful but there are bug and cockroach issues that exceed the normal expectations for living in Florida. There was massive turnover during our tenure with three different nursing directors in the nine months we were there. Weekend coverage is sparse. Communication was non existent unless there was a fall or a crisis. Staff do not introduce themselves and caregivers constantly change so it is hard to know who to approach when there is a question or concern. Although I gave this feedback on multiple occasions, no change occurred. Administration does not treat their residents with the dignity they deserve and does not confer with family regarding care decisions. They are quick to flex legal authority rather than work with family to find solutions. No memory care will be perfect and the Villa at Terracina was excellent in many ways, however their shortcomings overshadowed the positive in our experience. This is a difficult journey for those suffering from dementia and their loved ones. To anyone reading this I wish you and your loved ones the best.

Visited Terracina for the first time today and was so pleasantly surprised. From the lovely welcome by front desk receptionist, Pat, to the efficiency of the check in process, the beautiful decor, spacious facility and cleanliness it was very impressive. However, best of all, was the glowing review given by the sweet, 87 year old we were there to see, who raved about how wonderful an experience she has had there, how much she loves her space and enjoys all the people. ™

I was a guest of a resident. The place was very appealing. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a jazz concert then we ate lunch. The dining room was very nice. It was very clean. The food was basic, but it was good and seemed healthy. I had a mustard dill fish with a side of rice and zucchini as vegetable.

My dad had fallen a few times and was no longer able to take care of himself in his home. He now has an apartment at Terracina Grand and this place has been amazing. He has excellent care, all his meals made for him, medical and pharmacy on site, activities and the property is lovely. You have no idea how nice it is to know how well taken care of he is. We can even bring our dog to visit him. Highly recommend!

Our Dad moved in just 10 days ago, and while he is still getting acclimated, the staff has been incredible - from the onboarding experience , nursing team, dining room staff, to aides that visit his apartment for meds, laundry and all his needs. We have our Mom at Villa at Terracina Grand in memory care and we are so glad we picked this as her home. We first met Julia and was so impressed with her knowledge and thoughtfulness that is necessary during these types of transitions. Even 6 months later she responds and finds a solution when things come up. Kristin (nurse) is so helpful and continues to create care plans that are super individualized for my Mom. The nursing and care staff is patient and attentive. We absolutely love the creativity in the activity program. Mom always has something to keep her entertained and out of her suite. Amazing staff that really takes pride in impacting people's lives. Julia and the team spent several hours with us on a couple different days touring Terracina Grand's assisted living and memory care venues. They made us feel right at home and immediately integrated my mom into the daily activities. The apartments are well laid out, spacious, light and bright with a wonderful location. The most impressing aspect about Terracina Grand is the tenure of the staff and detail to care.

We have a very dear friend in Terracina Grand in the independent living building. We also have a friend in management. Terracina Grand is a great place. The staff couldn't be more friendly, the meals look and are terrific. We've been there for special occasion dinners. The wait staff are very professional and cater to your needs. We are very pleased our friend made the choice to move here. She is extremely happy and knows she made the right choice.

I take no pleasure in giving a negative review of Terracina Grand. My father was a resident of Terracina Grand for over 6 years and it became his home. The last year and a half, the service at the resident level and overall feel of the facility has negatively changed. COVID probably had a lot to do with this, but I believe the new management has caused a fundamental shift in compassion at the facility. For context, I have previously written great reviews of the facility. Negative changes that recently came to light: Many of the care staff do not speak English. Medication errors. Decline in food and food service. Cost-cutting leading to a very poor experience for a vulnerable population. Uncaring management. Another big concern that came to light during my first visits during the pandemic was the lack of privacy my father experienced when it came to his personal life. All residents in assisted living and independent living have private apartments with locked entrances. At this time, Dad was a widow and had the right to socialize with whom him he wanted. Many of the care staff were actively involved in giving him advice about his friendships with women at the facility, going so far as to tell my Dad actions he should take. This was distressing for him as he felt his personal life was being discussed and gossipped about. He was embarrassed and felt betrayed by the staff. It was so distressing to him that I had to have a conversation with Irene Mursoi, the DON, to direct her staff not to be actively involved in Dad's private life. This activity was so unprofessional and shocking that I am still shaking my head. This activity may have violated HIPAA laws as some of the discussions the staff were having involved areas of Dad's health care, including his emotional health. I'm still stunned that this occurred as it showed a lack of management expertise on the part of the nursing management within the facility. By November of 2021, Dad was begging me to move him from Terracina. He stated he did not feel safe due to the constant change in caregivers and nurses and his inability to understand many of the caregivers His comments combined with what I witnessed, led me to actively begin looking for his new home closer to where I live. The care has declined due to an overall lack of employees, constant change of employees and change in management. The employee engagement and morale has declined. The overall food experience has become unpleasant due to corporate cost cutting and lack of staff. I would be remiss if I did not mention some of the amazing people at Terracina who really do have the residents' best interests at heart. Maura in care services is an amazing caregiver and exhibits compassion at every level. Helen and Donna in Activities are resident-centric and give it their all. Jack, the Spiritual Director, imparts kindness and gives hope and joy in the most difficult times. Jean at the Front Desk always has a pleasant smile and kind word and made sure that Dad got packages and messages in a timely manner. Edsel in Physical Therapy was great with keeping Dad mobile and was creative with exercise programs to keep Dad interested The Head Chef Joe (who has been there a long time) is doing the best he can under the new constraints. Gio Simon is also a great asset with exceptional communication skills and resident engagement.It is my sincere hope that these few individuals can help the current management right the ship and bring Terracina back to what it once was...an iconic facility that was a warm and caring place where one's golden days could be lived in dignity, comfort and enjoyment. I believe you owe it to yourselves and your loved ones to look beyond fancy marketing materials, beautiful grounds and the staged Open Houses and dig deep to find the best and safest place for you or your family members. My parents are on the waiting list for a two bedroom apartment. Everyone has been wonderful through this whole process. I live in St Louis Mo. so it's been very important that the staff be communicative, and they haven't let us down. I'm looking fwd to an overnight with them once they get settled in.

The staff is wonderful. The facilities are extremely clean, and tastefully decorated. There are a wide choice of activities, which are fresh and new, and sometimes old and comforting! The building itself is showing a little age., But aren't we all! The communications between the facility and the family is wonderful! Very comforting to know our parents are in a home that is so caring and dedicated to the safety, well-being and comfort they so deserve! All in all a very fine facility that Mom is grateful to call her "forever home"!

My father and mother moved to TG almost four years ago. Now my mother lives there alone. Fellow residents and staff made both their lives more interesting and wider. After my dad died, my mother has been comforted as much as possible by her community there. I have been more secure about her life because of staff communications.
