From the moment that we walked into Brighton we knew it was the right place for my mother in law. The staff is warm and welcoming and the facility is clean with cute decor. Lauren, Kerry and Paul thank you for everything you did to support us.

Brighton Gardens took my Dad into their Assisted Living facility under difficult circumstances and welcomed him. Over the past few months, I have really appreciated the care staff who take the time to call me regularly with updates. They let me know not only if there is an issue to deal with, but also contact me when things are going well. I have been helped when I've needed to find a doctor, audiologist, buy a new hospital bed, etc. As I live outside the USA, this has all made it much easier to care for my Dad from a distance.

The staff here were absolutely wonderful! Cannot say enough positive things about them. Out of the four facilities our family looked into, this one easily came out on top. Then dealing with the staff and how they helped to facilitate everything, and them going out of their way to help our family was truly a blessing. Especially considering the issues we ran into on our end of things. Particularly, Lauren Morosko, the director of sales, went above and beyond for our family’s situation. I can tell you from my interactions that they care not only about their residents, but all of the residents’ families as well. I highly recommend Brighton Gardens of Charlotte.

After viewing several communities nearby, Brighton was such a warm inviting place. When I arrived, I witnessed residence laughing, talking and everyone doing their own thing and living life. One huge factor is that they will care for my father until the end of his life. No changing facilities or rooms. That is very important. I am blessed to know my father will be well cared for.

Both of my parents were cared for at Brighton Gardens (pre & post pandemic) and we had a wonderful experience. The caregivers to the cleaning staff treated them with kindness and care throughout their stay. It was easy to reach the administrative staff for anything we needed also. I was kept informed at all times for any issues or health concerns that arose. Appreciated the time taken by the staff to help me with appointments and lining up special requests. Trusting your parents to a community is a hard decision and I feel very grateful to Brighton Gardens for all they have done for me and my family!

Brighton Gardens has a decent location. My 87 year old mother has lived there for almost a year. While some of the staff is very nice, I can't say much of anything else nice about this place. The last time that I visited my mother in order to have dinner with her, we sat there for over 90 minutes before we received any food. All of the people at the other tables were either completely finished with their meals or they were finishing up the last bits of their dinner. They had already received their salad their entee, soup and dessert while we sat there with nothing. Since we were getting no service, I stood to ask the kitchen staff if we could please be served. They told me in a very aggressive manner to get out of their face and to go sit down. They then shoved me and yelled profanities at me. When we finally were served after 105 minutes and everyone else had left the dining room, they brought us the main entree but they did not bring us our soup or our salad or our dessert. This type of negligence has happened many times before. I am completely sure that this staff has become institutionalized much like a mental institution and they just don't care anymore. I would not recommend this for your loved one it has a very bad environment. Jack

Jodi and Lauren, the sales and marketing directors are awesome! I walked in for a tour with my client, Lauren was scrubbing the base boards. To see a management team on her hands and knees is huge! They go above and beyond for the greater outlook of the community. If you want your family member to age in place and not have to move, have a larger community to thrive in...take a look at Brighton Gardens in Southpark

I would highly recommend that you do your due diligence with Brighton Gardens, and all facilities before placing your loved one! Do not be in a hurry, and make unannounced visits to see how things are run on a daily basis! That way, you are more aware of how your loved one will be treated, and what services will/will not be provided on a daily basis, in your absence! I have found, that because I did not do this, things are not at all as they appeared, and services that were promised have not been rendered consistently, professionally, or not at all! And it is a frustrating and expensive financial process to relocate your loved one as a result of it!

After breaking my arm during the process of moving to South Carolina, I was so happy to find Brighton Gardens of Charlotte to do my out-patient physical therapy. The staff, from check-in all the way through to the Physical Therapists, made me feel comfortable and my surgeon was amazed at my progress. The facilities are top-notch and very well maintained. I would not hesitate to have further dealings with Brighton Gardens of Charlotte!

My husband and I placed a loved one at Brighton Gardens, and we are very happy with the care and compassion that the entire staff has shown. We live three hours away, and we feel that this was the best place for the following reasons: 1. The location is convenient, and easy to navigate. 2. Everyone who works there is professional, caring, and willing to help out any way they can. 3.. The entire facility is clean, and the food is excellent. 4. Residents are happy, as I talked to some of them in the dining room, and common areas where activities take place. 5. The staff communicates well with residents and their families. Phone calls and emails are ALWAYS answered in a timely manner. It is so good to know that Brighton Gardens will care for our loved one. Peace of mind is important.

I gave been involved with Brighton Gardens both personally and professionally over the past 12 years. I have referred to them frequently and had a family member with them as well. I have found them easy to work with and amenable to accepting those seniors requiring a high acuity of care. As with any community, clearly defuned expectationsat the beginning and continuing communication resolves any issues that might arise. They truly strive to provide excellence in care as a partner for your loved one.

Brighton Gardens of Charlotte is a caring community with a highly trained and committed staff. After a few weeks living in the community, my mothers cognitive ability and overall well-being improved - primarily due to interaction with other residents and the stimulating activities that were offered. Medication management, an essential component to any residents health, was consistently and accurately dispensed. I credit the attentive Med Techs with my mothers smooth transition to Brighton Gardens and for keeping her healthy during her stay.

We chose Brighton Gardens of Charlotte Reminiscence Community for my dad... they were they only place that could take care of him after his stroke. He also had Alzheimers... the care he received from the care managers was beyond our expectations. They encouraged my dad to partake in activities, made sure he was comfortable, engaged with him on days he didnt want to get out of bed and truly showed him love. As his Alzheimers progressed, his eating and drinking were slowing down. His care never slowed down. He would say he was hungry. His care managers knew he would most likely not eat, but they always brought him his meal and tried to feed him. His last week was extremely difficult on our family. The love and support they gave to our family was amazing. There arent enough words to thank the entire staff for the care they gave my dad and the support for my family...We are beyond thankful for Brighton Gardens... I highly recommend this facility for Alzheimers care and their assisted living community...

If you want your loved one to be screamed at; shoved and bruised; eat deplorable food and get no help, then bring them on! If you care and love your loved one, keep them as far away from here as possible! Sure, it looks nice, but it is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have found the staff to need periodic training reminders and check lists to ensure correct meds are dispenched to each resident. I would highly suggest a daily menu and activity schedule be provided to-every resident each morning b4 breakfast. The best scenario would be a weekly schedule for menus and activities.

Brighton Gardens has the potential to be a great place to live but often comes up short. I have to admit that my father is not an easy person to care for but assisted living should be about service and often the services were administered out of obligation rather than care. There are good people and good programs at Brighton. They currently allow pets and smoking (outside in a designated area). The decor is nice and bright. They have daily programs to encourage residents to participate. Reception is very friendly and helpful, especially Stephanie. Nina in finance is very helpful too.

My dad has been at Brighton Gardens for about 7 weeks now and has adjusted well. All staff has been very friendly with him and also with me. There was some miscommunication from day 1 regarding level of care he needed, but I eventually got the billing corrected. I think the cost is in line with similar places I toured, but the medication administration fee is quite a bit more (he pays $25 per day for AM/PM total of 12 Rx meds). Activities are just OK, but I think more creativity is needed (apparently a new Activities Director has been hired). The residents really like music, but it isn't offered every day like it should be. The place is overall pretty clean, but I keep noticing a strong urine smell almost always in the corridor where my dad lives. I have never seen any bugs. There is a designated smoking area outside, but the smoke keeps blowing inside every time that door is opened, so it often smells like smoke in the 1st floor common area where we hang out. I wish this could be improved somehow. The staff takes good care of my dad, knows him pretty well by now. They have called to talk with me when needed, which is great. The residents say the food is only OK, not great. It seems to me that they consistently don't have enough staff in the dining room for dinner, as my dad and others have had to sometimes wait quite a while for someone to take and bring their orders. I don't know about the other meals. I think, overall, that my dad likes it there and it is a nice place. His room/unit is plenty big enough and is very clean and up-to-date. He really likes having his own "apartment" to go to, but he spends quite a bit of time in the common area with others, which is a sign that he is comfortable, despite his shyness.

Mother was there five weeks for respite care while we were in England. I think her rehab and care were good. She is not social and a bit of a recluse when in respite care so I don't know how much she participated in activities. The food was very good and she enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the worry out of our time in England.

The tour was really great and I appreciate having a moment to see this as an option. I was looking for a community that was in the best location and price range. When it came down to make a choice, this was not a fit for our budget.
