Bedford Estates has been a blessing for our entire family. My mom had lived at another Memory care facility in Bedford for just over a year, and was not happy nor well cared for. That was our first experience with memory care so we didn't know what to expect. Bedford Estates has a welcoming, warm feeling to it. The staff is very well trained, works together as a team and knows how to treat your loved one with kindness and professionalism. We had to wait for a room to become available and Healther and Kimilee, the Directors , bent over backwards to insure my mom was admitted as soon as possible. They have a RN, Bethany, that has helped with medication and a doctor that comes twice a week. (I was told at the other facility that they had nurses and doctors that were available, but turned out that wasn't true.) The living spaces are spacious and clean, and the care staff keep the residents clean as well. My mom really enjoys the food there, and is happy now. I can't praise Bedford Estates enough! My brothers and I have such peace of mind now that we found Bedford Estates.

My experience with Bedford Estates Senior Living over the past year has been unmatched. The administrative personnel led by Healther are kind and caring and do their best to accommodate the residents and family members. The aide staff are always busy and on the move to tend to the residents' needs. The food is expertly prepared by the kitchen staff, and there is always wonderful smells coming from the kitchen.

After 59 years of marriage, I had to find a place for my husband in memory care. After visiting several places, I found Bedford Estates. What a gem!!! These people CARE not only about my husband’s care but ME. Everyone is happy to answer questions or help. Even in memory care they don’t have just Bingo, but today it was band practice. Everyone is included. Everyone is cheered for small accomplishments. The nurses know all about the patient’s medicine. Upper management CARES. If you need something is just ask! The food for memory care is cut up and not leftovers and fresh and flavorful. I can’t say enough good things about Bedford Estates.

Placed a call for an appointment and was greated by a Mrs.Jacob. She was very professional and helpful. She set an appointment with me and my grandfather. Mrs.Jacob met with us. She was friendly outgoing and very informative. She gave us a tour, explained in detail about the advantages of the senior living facility. My grandfather and I loved it. The place was clean, smelled good and staff was professional. We will for sure be in touch and would refer this senior living building as well as give it a 5 star. Thank you to Mrs. Jacob and her staff.

When my dad moved into this place it was Elmcroft. We, and he, were very happy with the facility and the staff. Then, they apparently changed ownership. Everything went down hill. We no longer felt that dad was safe there and we no longer felt that the staff was reliable. He complained that the food went down hill. I have family members who work in assisted living facilities who were shocked when they visited. They saw so many things they knew to be violations. They urged us to report them but we honestly felt dad would suffer if we did. Every time we brought up a concern covid was blamed. Funny that the new place didn't have those issues. I'm so glad we were able to contact A Place For Mom and find a better place for him. You'd think they would have wanted to facilitate his moving by the time he left (we were a very involved family and didn't hesitate to ask questions) but no, they didn't have any of his paperwork or anything ready for his move even though they knew what time we would be there for several weeks. He is so happy now and we have to notch communication with the staff. They truly want their residents to enjoy the last stage of life. I don't recommend this facility at all. It only got a 2 because it used to be good.

I just wanted to share how pleased our family is with Bedford Estates! The facility and the staff of her previous residence was severely lacking in every area of tenant care. We spent most of the time frustrated and basically feeling robbed. Meds were skipped or missing often. Staff was always hard to find our get a hold of. Bedford Estates is cleaner and nicer than any of the other Assisted Livings our mother has stayed in. Several of the staff introduced themselves when we arrived. The person over the food service sat down with our mother one-on-one to talk about foods she likes and dis-likes, as well as allergies, etc. When we visit mom's room it's always clean and the staff are always around, are friendly and eager to help. It was common at all of the other places to be unable to find a staff member, let alone get assistance. Bedford Estates is different. It's a warm and inviting atmosphere. The residents all seem happy, and as if they're living a carefree life, as it should be. We couldn't be happier with mom's move to Bedford Estates.

Every single staff member no matter job title must love the elderly. They would stop what they are doing to have a conversation anytime they were approached by residents. I observed this on many occasions. My family member was only here a short time but I’m their number one fan and highly recommend them.

Took a tour of the community and Haley went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered, she was super sweet to my grandmother, extremely friendly and helpful! I will definitely be recommending the community to other friends base off the professionalism!

My mother was a resident at Elmcroft May 2021 to June 2021. She came from her home out of town for what was originally a two week visit, but decided to extend her stay after the two weeks. She required 24-7 skilled nursing care due to a terminal illness and was on a number of medications that had to be given throughout the day and night. Whitley and her staff were very pleasant to work with. I felt they genuinely cared about my Mom, and they were always willing to listen to any concerns I had and answer any questions. My Mom never wanted to leave her home, but the care she received at Elmcroft was enough to cause her to change her mind. She only got to stay four weeks before she passed. The Elmcroft staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to our family when Moms health declined and she passed. Im grateful for all they did to allow us to have Mom here for that time.

My Mother moved in 2 months ago, in the middle of the virus. Elmcroft has provided such good care and even though I cant visit, they are making sure she is staying well. I am anxious to have things back to normal but in the meantime, I know she is being well taken care of. The staff and nurse are exceptional and always stay in touch with me.

My family has developed quite a history with Elmcroft- all of it extremely positive. My dad was admitted in February 2019 to their memory care unit and we were immediately embraced by their caring staff.Ashley, the memory care supervisor was beyond professional and caring. At every turn, they took superb care of him and kept him occupied with activities geared for his capacity level. I think it takes a special calling to work with dementia patients, and Ashley and her team exceeded every expectation.In April, the nursing staffs diligence caught the fact that Dads blood oxygen level was dropping and had him transported to the Emergency room. He remained there until his passing in May. But the Elmcroft staffs alertness gave us several weeks with him that we would not have had otherwise, and we are all extremely grateful.But then, in August it was time to admit my mother and Elmcroft of Bedford was our only choice. Mom had resisted this move for years, but when she finally agreed, the folks at Elmcroft made the whole process very easy.Within a short time, my very reluctant mother was making friends, actively engaging in all the activities and just having lots of fun. Each month, she pours over the activity calendar to see what is coming up and she checks off which ones she is interested in.My mother is a very physically disabled stroke victim who requires help dressing and using the bathroom. But the caregivers treat her like they would their own mother or grandmother. I am just amazed at the kindness this staff shows to her and to the other residents.It takes a very special kind of person to do this job, and I am certain they are not in this role to make the big bucks. I cannot say a single negative thing about any one of the caregivers.Even the maintenance guys are incredible. Adam is really a super guy who recently helped my mom in and out of our car several times when I had to take her to doctor appointments (I was experiencing a lot of back problems and his help was a life saver). I keep asking Jill, the director, where she finds these wonderful people.I am so incredibly grateful for the dignity that was given to my father with his dementia and my mother with her physical disabilities. Elmcroft is proof that there is still kindness in this world, because I see it in action every day.

This place is absolutely amazing. My mom lived here for only 3 months before she passed away. The staff here is incredible we could not have asked for a better place for my mom to spend her last 3 months on this earth. We thought she would have been here a lot longer but even in the short amount of time the staff had bonded with her so much that I think they cried harder than we did when she died. They take such good care of there residents especially on the memory care side. They pay special attention to their needs and make sure they are treated with dignity, grace and respect. This place is very careful about who they put in their facility and they make sure they are a good fit with the other residents. While my mom was on critical care with Hospice the staff at Elmscroft would check on us frequently throughout the day providing us with any help we needed. Which they didn't have to do cause there was a 24 hour care nurse there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is thinking about taking there loved ones here.

A very nice facility. The staff seems to genuinely care about the residents and they make every effort to help the residents feel like this is their home. The residents were engaged in activities and the staff interacted frequently with them.
