Every time I visit my mom I am thankful that she's living in a place with kind and caring staff at every level. From the office staff to the nursing caregivers and activities team to the laundry and house keeping to building maintenance and even the kitchen staff they demonstrate a desire to add joy and meaningfullness to the resident's lives. They have come along beside me and held me up during a challenging season for me of my parents' lives and the loss of my father.There is a sweet spirit you can feel when you're here and I'm so thankful that my parents could be a part of this community.

Selecting an assisted living facility for a loved one is a difficult process. My parents and I visited several facilities before such arrangements were necessary and while they were still able to share in the decision-making process. They decided upon The Inn at Olentangy Trail, and moved there in 2019 once we became concerned about them living safely at home. We could not be more pleased with the decision. The staff is friendly, compassionate and truly care for the wants and needs of the residents. Daily activities, including a small theater and salon, provide a variety of engagement opportunities for the residents. With medication administration and 24 hour staffing, our concerns regarding safety were eliminated. If the staff has any concerns, medical or otherwise, we receive a call to discuss a path forward with treatment. As I read other reviews that air specific grievances publicly, I will admit that not everything is perfect all the time. However, dealing with elderly residents (and in our case dementia issues) has challenges and the staff of Olentangy Trail has always been very responsive to any issues and concerns that I bring to their attention - even very small problems like missing shoes or other items. If you are reading this review and considering assisted living or memory care, I urge you to schedule a visit to the Inn at Olentangy Trail.

Overall I’m pleased with my mom’s care. Nurses and aides appear to be attentive and knowledgeable of her needs. They communicate concerns in a timely manner. I would say the meals are average compared to home cooking but no comparison to other facilities she’s been in for rehab. She has a good number of choices and she has no complaints with meals (which is really saying a lot). They look well prepared. Servers are young people and I see many residents love interacting with them. I like the way the facility is decorated for each holiday/season. I would say the only area where I would wish for better is room upkeep. The floor might need to be vacuumed more often but that’s so minor when you compare the problems in other places. There are a lot of activities for residents (although I don’t know how often my mom participates in group activities/outings). I do always love watching how the staff in general interacts with residents. It was the first thing I noticed when visiting each of the Inns. I would not choose any other place for the care and keeping of my mom. Thank you to all!

The Inn, as we call it, has been absolutely fantastic with our mother who is suffering from dementia. They are so understanding of her needs and reach out to us with updates or needs that she may have in her care. Additionally, they were instrumental in helping with the Medicaid process. It is a very difficult navigation, and they were so kind to help us along. I highly recommend this beautiful facility. It is always clean and smells fresh. They have wonderful activities to engage the community. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. I am so thankful that we found the Inn.

My parents have been at The Inn at Olentangy Trail for about a year now, one in assisted living and the other in memory care, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care they receive. The staff is consistently kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the well‘being of their residents. Some will go out of their way to help. They take the time to get to know my parents as individuals, not just as people who need support, and that makes all the difference. Both of my parents have settled in well and truly like living there. It gives our family real peace of mind knowing they’re in a place where people care about them.

When my family member moved into Olentangy Trail 3 years ago, she was made to feel so welcome by all the staff that right away we knew she was in a caring place. Since then, we have come to know the many doctors, nurses, aids, administrators, maintenance, food and service staff very well, and consider them to be our friends. Through all her many aging and health issues, they have proven to be people who truly care about giving her the best care possible. The medical staff are always willing to help with our questions and special health challenges. So much effort is put into making life at Olentangy Trail interesting, fun, sociable, healthy and warm. Because life is never perfect, whenever something comes up that could be addressed, someone is there to listen and help make things better. Our family is glad our loved one is in good hands when we are not there and I believe she feels the same way.

My loved one moved here about 6 months ago and loves it! The staff are super friendly and caring & very responsive to her needs. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. She loves the food. The nursing staff are very good at communicating with regards to her care. They have a wonderful activities director and lots of things to keep residents engaged. I can’t think of anything negative to say about The Inn at Olentangy.

When my mom first entered the Inn she was warmly welcomed, menu options were healthy and staff were attentive. Over the past year I've noticed a change. The food options are much different than they started out, less nutritious and not as healthy. Staff seems busy but overall the Inn is not as well maintained as it was. Praying the situation improves soon.

I've spent over 20 years in long term care, and I can tell you that The Inn at Olentangy Trail is the warmest, most home like and personable facility I've been in. I would not hesitate to have my own parents join this community when the time comes.

Our family is very pleased with the compassionate caring team at The Inn at Olentangy Trail. Each member provided their own special touch to make Dad feel at home, sometimes with a sense of humor, which was important to him. Our dad was treated with dignity and respect which made his stay at The Inn very pleasant. As a family we especially appreciated the personal touch and special attention given to him. Amazing facility, staff, and company! Choosing to place a loved on in an assisted living facility is a stressful and overwhelming decision. There are many horror stories out there.
