The Executive Director and the Health & Wellness Director form the bedrock of an amazing team, many of which have a long tenure there. You can be assured your loved one will be well cared for here!

My Grandma moved in this place in July last year and loved it much better than her old place Laguna Estates.The staff are always responsive to their patients and always help them right away and there is always someone avaliable to help.Sadly she passed away 2 months ago but I want to Thank you guys so much for helping her out during her time that she was there!

I have recently moved into the Brookdale Oceanside facility. I could not be more pleased with the reception I have received from BOTH the residents and the staff. The residents siged a "Welcome Letter" and taped it to me door; and, the staff is friendly and efficient. And they have invited me to play bridge and been very friendly in dining room The room for my Independent Living stay was ready and cleaned very well when I arrived. I went to front desk to fill out a work order for a sink fix and the maintence crew was in my room starting the fix when I walked back to my room!! Management is knowledgeable and efficient, food is very good and prepared on the dining room published timetable. Ewing Jones

I moved my great Auntie into Brookdale Oceanside in December 2023. She is thriving and living in the memory care section. The staff keep her busy with activities all throughout the day. The food is wonderful and the staff is always really nice. My Auntie is very happy living at Brookdale Oceanside and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to move a loved one or friend.

From C. Berke: My family is grateful to Brookdale Oceanside for helping us through a very challenging transition for our 94 year old. He needed to be transferred, within a few days, from the hospital into hospice care at a Memory Care facility. Fortunately we found Brookdale Oceanside and they were so responsive and they accepted our father and made the transition as smooth as possible. My father received excellent care, though he was only there for 2 weeks and then he passed. The staff coordinated well with hospice and did a wonderful job trying to keep my father comfortable and safe and not alone. Brookdale is well run, staff is very professional and kind, the facility was very clean and well set-up. I would recommend Brookdale Oceanside.

Our family has been impressed with the staff of Brookdale, Oceanside from day one! Everyone is so friendly and nice and we have been pleased to see how comfortable our dad is there and the wonderful care he receives. From the minute we walk in the door, we are greeted by the front desk staff who are always so helpful in every way! Matt, one of the caregivers, is always looking out for him and making sure he is doing well! The "restaurant" staff is attentive to his needs and is so kind to him! The activities director, Shell, has made him feel at home and to our surprise, he even participates in the exercise program at Brookdale which she leads! The woman who cleans his room and does his laundry does an exceptional job! All of this loving care adds up to our dad saying that it feels like home! Thank you so much to all who give him such wonderful care!

Knowing your parent is safe is truly a blessing. Peace of mind during the day to day and when they need help urgently. They respond and react with their hearts. My mom was not excited at first, the employees were comforting and lifetime friends created with group activities. There is something for everyone.

Recently, I called Brookdale Senior Living to ask some questions about the facility and care for my mother. I was pleasantly surprised after speaking with Brandy Lopez. She was able to answer all of my questions in a professional and caring way. I don't usually write reviews, however, after calling other facilities, Brandy really made this one stand out. When it is time for the next step for my mother, I will definitely reach out to Brookdale Senior living.

My mother ended up staying there for 1 year. That one year ended up being the best year of her life. She made so many friends, including staff. Family friendly, a place that makes everyone feel at home. All branches of support were caring, respectful, and encouraging to her and her special needs, especially Patricia Pedroza. It warmed our hearts and put us at rest knowing she was in good hands with people who truly cared about her. There is so much to be said about the Director, housekeeping, restaurant staff, everyone...I could go on for hours. The programs department, Patricia and Shell do a wonderful job keeping the residents engaged. I really enjoy the variety of activities offered. I love to attend daily B-Fit class, since attending I have gotten much stronger. I enjoy the Happy Hours with entertainment. I have learned how to play Rummikub, Uno, and also enjoy Pictionary, Charades and black jack.

My mom is content, the Covid restrictions have been hard on her and I. But I know it is for her safety. The core staff is wonderful and helpful. They are all friendly when I am visiting my mom. This past holiday season I wanted the Executive Director here, Laura E. to know how much Im grateful to her staff from top to bottom, for all the kindness and encouragement so I sent her a note with my appreciation.After health complications, I required Assisted Living and help with ADLs. This June 2020, I will be with Brookdale for 3 years thru a placement agency that works for the Dept. Veterans Affairs and theres been no looking back.The activities schedule, including fitness class is interesting and engaging. I have never eaten so well and finally, just like the staff, residents are all sweet and kind. I recommend the receptionist, Nancy, for excellent service.

Ive been here here for more than 2 years and I like it very much. I like meeting all the different people and being able to socialize with different age groups. I enjoy playing bridge, attending b-fit, flex your brain, going on scenic rides and walking around the community. I do look forward for the exercise walks with Janey on Friday mornings. One of the places I enjoy the most inside the community is the library. They have a great selection to choose from.

I have been living at Brookdale Assisted Living Community in Oceanside for three years. The community, including residents and staff creates an atmosphere that has made it a wonderful place for me to call Brookdale home.The dedicated staff is readily available to fulfill the needs of us residents with care and compassion. Activities are plentiful from exercise classes, including Tai Chi, to intellectually stimulating classes like astronomy, art, ceramics and many more; the list is too long to mention.The socials are a good time to meet other residents and to make new friends. We have both ice cream and wine and cheese social options. They are a lot of fun! Come join us.. I think youll like Brookdale as much as I do!

The staff at this facility have the biggest hearts!!!!! From approving my dad to move in, to getting him settled with all of the Covid restrictions. His transition was more difficult due to his dimensia and staff was so understanding and accommodating. I could go on and on! We are also so pleased that he was able to get a room in a Friendship Suite which is two rooms and a shared bathroom. His room was less in price than anywhere else where hed actually have a shared bedroom (2 people one room).I cant speak highly enough about Brookdale and we literally thank God for bringing us together!

Brookdale has a great walking exercise in the morning that I enjoy. The dining servers are helpful with recommendations and make me feel like an individual when remembering my orders. The staff here is caring and respectful. Victoria is one of many helpful care associates who is always willing to help with a smile. Being here, I feel respected, wanted and loved.

Living here has been a good experience and Im glad to be staying here for as long as theyll have me. I do attend some of the activities and the Happy Hour-Birthday Bashes and always have a great time. Leonor is a great caregiver who helps with the little things. Everyone here is friendly, caring and always willing to lend a hand.

My first impression when I first moved in was how friendly everyone is. Everyone makes me feel wanted. After meeting with Chef Omar and his staff, I felt that they truly cared about my concerns and suggestions.The meals are delicious and the wait staff make me feel important by remembering my name and my usual meals. Also, one of my favorite social activities here is the Wine and Cheese Social. Janey is one of the programs assistants who helps keep the party going with a positive attitude. Overall, Im happy to be here.

My husband (Mike) and my introduction to Brookdale Oceanside was a warm, interesting and overwhelming experience. We were accepted here on a temporary basis for two months until the facility we were suppose to move into was completed. Not having seen Brookdale before the morning we moved in, we immediately felt the warm homey atmosphere. After meeting Laura, Candi, Rhonda and the staff we signed the contract. It was time for lunch and our apt. was across the hall from the dining room. We were then escorted to the dining room and introduced to the residents with a great big welcome.Seven months passed and the facility we were to move to was not completed. We made a decision if Brookdale had a permanent room available and if we were accepted we chose to stay at Brookdale. We carefully observed the menus, cleanliness, medicine distribution, the needed caregiving , administration and decided YES we like it here.From September to May 2019, Mikes illness progressed very fast and because of the progression I was his caregiver but needed more help from the caregivers here at Brookdale. They were and are wonderful people, It takes a very special person to perform these duties. I want to especially tell all of the staff how much I appreciate and love them with a big hug.To the Master Chef, Omar, the food is all very good and to his staff a great job by all. To everyone at Brookdale, thank you all very much for making my home a wonderful place to live.

I love this community! Its hard to find a good home for your loved ones! I highly recommend this community! I love the staff and the care they provide for their residence. I have been at Brookdale for almost 2 years. I have always been impressed by the number of activities they offer. From Be Fit and Tai Chi classes to Bingo, Brain Challenge, Art and Ceramics classes. Monthly birthdays are celebrated and many other fun activities. They also offer scenic drives and shopping trips to local stores taken on the Brookdale bus. I am in good enough health that I dont need help from the caregivers but I do want to compliment the servers at all of the 3 meals a day. Efficient and very friendly and the menu is always varied and the food is excellent.

I needed a fifth abdominal surgery and as I was unable to care for my beautiful wife, Ruth, during my two week recovery I temporarily placed her in the Memory Care Unit at Brookdale Oceanside. Both my eldest son, Stephen, and I were very pleased with the care she received. The entire staff from Laura the Director, to Mario the intake nurse, to Evelyn who was particularly helpful each morning when I could visit, everyone was positive and compassionate and professional. While I hope not to have to place Ruth again, knowing I have somewhere as good as Brookdale will make a difficult situation easier. Thank you.

After my friend and I left this facility, we decided to go with this facility without touring any other places. What really made us want to pick this community is the staff. They have been very good to him and they make him feel welcome. He has been thoroughly pleased with the move so far. At first, he was apprehensive when he found out the building is 35 years old. When walking in, its very impressive and they have been doing a lot of the up-keep on the building. There is no smell of poor hygiene and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I would recommend this facility to other families.

We toured this community for my father's care. The staff was nice and able to help with the questions on the care that is needed. We liked the environment and the list of healthy meals that are offered. They have a clean environment and we think that the atmosphere is nice.
