The facility itself is beautiful and well-kept, but the caregivers are the real stars”they are patient, kind, and always greet us with a smile. Executive Director Lisa Wallace does an incredible job maintaining a high standard of care. She keeps us perfectly in the loop with helpful monthly newsletters and uses text for quick, urgent updates, which provides so much peace of mind. There are many staff members who make this place special, but Henry holds a special place in our hearts for the way he treats my mom and dad. We moved my BrotherInLaws into independent living several months ago and it has transformed their situation. They share a two bedroom setup and it is affordable and very engaging being there. The staff is very attentive, there are lots of activities, and the food is a blessing. The staff worked hard for us to get in and helped with getting them settled. Their lives have improved as they interact with the other residents and actually get involved with the activities. We weren’t sure that would happen so are very pleased with the outcomes. One of them fell last week but didn’t say anything to the staff. The cafeteria personnel noticed later he wasn’t himself and got him to the front desk. They immediately notified us and got him to the ER. He was in the hospital for the night and returned the next day to a warm welcome home. Great place to move yourself or a loved one.

We visited Atria Willow Park to help decide which retirement center in Tyler would be our first choice when "the time comes". Atria Willow Park is now our first choice. The ambiance is warm & cozy, not institutional. The food is excellent and prepared on site! The location is well within the city limits, very convenient. The residents we spoke to, at random, were happy there And finally, the cost does not include a large "buy-in", only one month's rent which is non-refundable. No problem. Excellent choice.

My step mother had an independent living apartment here until she needed to move to a place with 24/7 care. The eight months she was at Atria Willow Park were great. I can’t say enough about the friendly and helpful staff, the food (yes, it is GOOD!), and even the residents. I’ve never seen such a great group of caring, involved people. It was always so neat to see SO many people participating in all of the many activities. We will miss it!

I'm a "spreadsheet" thinking guy, and I initiated an exhaustive search 3 years ago of over 110 retirement locations. I found the people at Atria Willow Park in Tyler, TX to be informed, friendly, easy to get in touch with, and responsive to multiple media means. The Community Sales Director was my constant contact and when it came time to sign a lease, the Administrative Assistant was equally easy to contact. The one thing I didn't mention is that I live 1900 miles from Atria Willow Park, but have had multiple live tours (not "canned" to only showcase the facility), and they hosted my daughter and son-in-law for a tour when they were in the area. My only regret is that I can't get there quickly enough ! UPDATE 4 months later: Atria Willow Park has turned out to be everything I had hoped it would with one exception. The food was good the first couple of months and then the new Chef gave us a "paradigm shift" and many of the meals are exquisite ! We went from an "8 out of 10" to a "9.99 out of 10" ! I highly recommend Atria Willow Park. After a lengthy search of all the Tyler facilities, I had a "video tour" with the Sales Manager, followed by a walk through by my daughter and son-in-law. They told me that I'd like it here, and I do ! I've been at Atria Willow Park for 1 1/2 years and I've never regretted the move from Maine (ayuh). The residents and staff are very friendly and keep a busy schedule, but with adequate free time. Tyr it, you'll like it too !

The staff at Atria Willow Park are all excellent! They put forth 110% to make sure the residents feel special, celebrated, and worth-while! They always are wearing a smile and bringing out the best in those around them. The activities are consistently engaging and have that Wow factor (Joe does a great job!), the culinary department (run by Chef Stephen!) is always putting out impressive plates of food to nourish the residents, the nursing and care staff take care of the residents with a smile and a caring heart (Angelia is awesome!), the front desk receptionists greet you with a smile and a hey baby, how ya doin today??, Brandon, the driver, makes sure everyone gets to where they need to be, the housekeeping and maintenance staff (Paul is great!) makes sure that everything stays in good working order, the ED, Lisa, does an incredible job. Overall, the staff make life at Atria Willow Park fun! #PeopleBelongTogether at AWP!

I have been SO IMPRESSED with all the things Lisa Wallace has done since taking over the Executive Director position! My mother lives there and I love how she keeps all of us up to date and informed about everything, not to mention all the new happenings going on and improvements being made for the seniors living there. It’s exciting to see and as the daughter of a resident, it’s such a wonderful feeling knowing what all she has done to keep them engaged in daily activities and events. I’m sure I’m not aware of half of the things she has actually done, but her efforts and accomplishments are not going unnoticed by those of us with loved ones there. Would recommend Atria Willow Park to anyone looking for a home for their loved one that offers such a variety of things to keep them engaged in life activities in general!

Forever Home found for my parents @Atria Willow Park!!! After visiting almost every Assisted Living facility in East Texas I moved my parents from their home in Longview TX to Atria Willow Park on May 2022. Every department has been like family to my parents. The nursing staff headed by Angela C. , Yolanda, Elizabeth and all the Med Aids have taken care of my parents like family and notified me of any changes to their health status. The food is excellent and 5 stars to Phylis making sure my parents have three good healthy meals a day. Lisa Wallace keeps the activity calendar full of fun and exciting events every day. Renee, Lori and Sarah keep the front desk rolling for visitors of every resident. Van operated by Brandon is available for residents to shop, dine and medical visits.

I told my sons I would never leave my room and I did not want to come. I finally agreed to three months and my son was wanting me to try six months. I have been here since May of 2023. I love it here. I never stay in my room, my sons can’t even get me on my phone because I’m busy playing games and socializing. The staff is wonderful, I love everybody in the whole place. Brandon, the driver, is so special. He takes me to appointments when needed. The Executive Director was so helpful and was trying to console me when we toured. She gave me cupcakes, it was my birthday. We made the decision to give it a try that day and I’m so happy that I did. I was hesitant, because I didn’t want to make new friends. I wanted to stay in Dallas where my old friends were. I love my new friends and my new home. I love the activities staff, the culinary staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and just all Atria staff. My apartment is my home now, with all of my pictures and memories. I couldn’t be happier.

My dad moved in to Atria Willow a year ago. In this year we have transitioned him from the independent living side to the assisted living side of the building so we have seen the entire staff and all facets of what this organization has to offer. The communication with the staff is amazing. I ask a lot of random things of the staff from medication questions to special requests like signing a form so I don't have to make a quick trip in the rain for a doctor's form and they are always happy to oblige. The programs that they provide are great and keep opportunities available for people to socialize. The food has always seemed to be excellent with many options. Anytime I ask a staff member how he is doing they are able to tell me right away. If you are looking for a facility for your loved one, or yourself, i would definitely go visit Atria. I had a really great experience doing an art project at Atria Willow Park. The staff is so kind and accommodating. I brought my daughters with me at one point and everyone was so sweet. I can't say enough great things about Atria Willow Park. My mom, Sarah Lockwood, was there for five years in the Independent Living side and it was a God-send for her and for us. She had been sick after my dad died and from the hospital she said, "I don't want to go back home and live by myself, and I don't want to burden you kids. Let's find a place for me to live." She loved Atria. The independence, the people, the food, the comfort, the activities, the Bible studies and church services....it was all the best experience for her. And, was such a comfort to us knowing she was happy and well seen after. The staff treated her like family and we never worried about her being neglected or unhappy, and the communication between our family and the staff was excellent. We had all planned on her progressing on to the Assisted Living side of Atria, when the time came, but God had other plans. If you have a loved one who is needing a place to live, we highly recommend Atria.

I visited every assisted living facility Tyler has to offer for the best place for my dear Aunt to live, no expenses spared, considering all avenues from meals to activities and hands down this place had it all. I expected she would like the fancy new facilities that were more expensive but, although the building is very lived in that's one thing that makes it feel so much like home. They keep the temp warm and lights warm feel. Every employee I've come to know absolutely LOVES THEIR JOB which makes a huge impact on the care here. There is an activity going on here every 30 minutes - an hour. Gourmet food with exceptional 4 Starr chef who knows each resident by name. Always cookies, fruit, coffee,drinks out for residence. They are so up on posting activities and making sure its it their doors each morning. My kids get so excited when I tell them we are going to The Atria to visit their aunt. They think they're going to a resort. Family activities that they encouage with full meals and hordeuves for almost every occasion. My Aunts dementia has improve remarkably and I contribute this to the interactions and care from folks at The Atria. Oh- the cost was half of others I visited and the layout of a circular atria make it easier for them to be oriented. Just stop in and visit with ANY staff member and you will see what I mean. The Director is very professional and runs this operation with love, compassion for both the residence and well as all of her employees and family members. Tracy

I have visited Atria- Willow Park on several occasions and was impressed with the attentiveness of all staff toward the residents. I know a few of the residents personally and they all seem to love their home. It would be a good place for me when I need to be there.

Mark at the front desk is always a pleasure to talk to when I come in each evening during the week. He knows all the residents, and he makes all of us visitors feel welcome and at home.

RE: Christy Carroll: I am so pleased to be able to tell of the many times this staff member has helped me at the Atria Willow Park. My husband and I moved to Atria Willow Park in November of 2012. We immediately fell in love with our gorgeous new surroundings, especially the Christmas decorations, including the beautifully adorned Christmas tree in the Atrium. All of the staff are wonderfully helpful, but Christy Carroll has really outdone herself! One day particularly stands out. It was very cold and I had just returned from the Dollar Store. When I arrived back into the building I attempted to remove my coat, and got the zipper down all the way, but then it stuck and I felt trapped inside of it, as I suffer with claustrophia. Christy knelt down on the floor, freeing the zipper and freeing me of that "trapped feeling." I was so grateful! My husband passed away only 6 months after arriving at the Atria Willow Park. I needed assistance with Medicare forms, insurance and the like, and Christy has been there every time for me, to help in whatever way she could. I absolutely love it here at Atria Willow Park, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Thank you for such a wonderful, saving place, and a special thanks to a great staff member and friend, Christy Carroll.

Looking for a home away from home? You won't find a better place than the Atria at Willow Park. All of the residents and employees become family. And, a friendlier more loving family, you will not find anywhere outside the home you have come from. Everyone knows you by your name and greets you with a smile and "good morning" or another appropriate greeting throughout the day. I love it here.

Most importantly my Mom loves it here. Food is good with lots of choices. Plenty of things to do and they even have a musician on staff that can play and sing almost anything.
